Title: She's gonna blow! Claimed By: Open Catching: no Members: 1-2 Rewards: •20 SB Description: Mt Chimney seems incredibly active all of a sudden and the people living in the town below have began to worry. One man tells you of some odd looking bunch that came in and are testing machines up there. Be a good citizen and risk death by lava as you stop these experiments and the eruption! Be sure to cool any lava that's already leaking out of the sides like a sieve!
Notes: Mt. Chimney. Water type move suggested for party
They were at it again… this time around; Izumi had decided to go through the Hoenn Network to check if there was something that she could do to help out the local citizenry. They’d already done one favor for Fallarbor; and another all the way in Snowbelle in Kalos; so this one was going to be much closer to hoe than she realized. In fact it was just outside of Lavaridge! She’d already called up Josh and left a message on his voice mail, telling him to meet her just outside of Lavaridge; in fact she was already at the same spot where they’d met just a few weeks prior in order to make plans for charging up the Tower that had annoyed her so much in Shalour. “Where is he…” she muttered, suddenly beginning to pace. Since the details of the little wanted ad she’d picked up required some people with Water-type moves, she decided to swap out some members of her team; the better so that they could deal with the fire easily.
Hmm, but Ground types are also a good thing to bring along… but in any case… yeah, I’m ready, she thought, remembering that she’d also left a p.s. on the voice message for him to bring as much water power as he could. It’s funny, the Snowbelle one had us bringing a lot of fire power, now this is the exact opposite… at least we can drop by the café once we’re done for a quick bite to eat… she continued with a grin on her face as she then re-examined the team that she had brought along with her. Ice types were a viable option, but this was magma, extremely hot magma that they were going up against! She’d been dawdling at the Pokemon Center for the longest time, unable to decide who to bring, but ultimately chose to bring the following in the end: she now had Nixe and Kei with her (Empoleon and Swampert), plus the ever-reliable Momo; along with Ryuen, Jet and Fulmine. She knew that her team was a bit on the watery side, but who was she to argue? “Well, it did say bring as much water power as you can…” she muttered to herself as she continued pacing, waiting for her partner to arrive!

Water and rock/ground types eh? It seems there was a volcano problem and Izumi needed a hand. Hopefully there wouldn't be too much issue, though a volcano screamed danger at the top of it's lungs. The town was in need, he felt inclined to come help with or without Izumi.
He'd brought a good set of Pokemon, that would help for sure. What Pokemon? They would see, it seemed. Finally he came to where they first met and saw Izumi, in the flesh. "Hey there Smelly" he greeted with a playful smirk as he walked over.

Izumi thought she heard a familiar voice sassing her right on greeting; and she turned around to see that Josh had arrived right on schedule! “Consider this mission the opposite of the Snowbelle one we did recently,” she began with an apologetic grin on her face. “There’s something going up in Mount Chimney… since you just arrived here in Hoenn recently, let me fill you in as much as I can,” she began, walking forward, so that the sooner they got the mission done and over with, the sooner they could get eating at the café! “There were two teams that… kind of got into this huge argument over who would make a better ‘place’ out of the Hoenn region—Team Magma, and Team Aqua. They both had their own goals; but in one way or another, things got messed up so bad, because the legendaries they wanted to unleash on the region very nearly caused a disaster to happen.
I remember reading in the history books that two of the so-called ‘Weather Trio’ almost caused a huge upheaval in the Sootopolis area; that’s when the third one appeared and calmed shit that was goin’ down. After that, the two teams… kind of disbanded, and were never heard from since… apparently, Mount Chimney used to be Team Magma’s hideout. How does this figure into what we’re going to do today? Word got out that there were some individuals coming and going, doing some fishy, suspicious business. Had something to do with machines,” she ended, reaching around into her pocket and hen pulling a print-out of the thing that they were going to investigate today for him to read. “Whatever they’re doing in there… is setting off the volcano; and now it’s reached a point that Lavaridge herself is threatened. Of course, I want to put a stop to this, but I can’t do it alone… yeah,” she added, with a totally apologetic look on her face. “Sorry if I dragged you away from training or something. I’ll make up for it later.”

"No shit. A volcano is much different from a blizzard area" he cracked, looking up at their destination with a sigh. "Don't think I've been to a volcano before... Could get rather dangerous. Not going to be fun" he added, cracking his neck. "Hope you're ready"
He listened to her briefing on what was going on. Team Magma and Team Aqua, huh? He'd heard stories of them... Although it wasn't known to him that they were prominent or active at the moment, as he'd never seen one on active duty... Well, at least he didn't think he did. He HAD saved Olivia of Team Aqua's life once, but good guy Josh didn't know who she was, so no fault of his there. Regardless, Mount Chimney was once Team Magma's hideout. And now apparently suspicious people were going around with machines doing something fishy in Magma's old stomping grounds. Suspicious indeed.
Of course, Josh could only fear the worst... There would only be one reason why machines would be operating near a volcano, and Josh didn't want to stick around to find out what it'd be. Instead, he knew that they had to hurry and stop it before it could start.
Then Izumi revealed that it WOULD indeed set off the volcano. That confirmed his fears. "Fuck" he said, sighing. "Don't worry about dragging me out of training. If Lavaridge is in danger, I'm there" he promised. "Let's go. No time to waste"

“From what I remember… the magma pools are further in… because for some reason there’re parts of Mount Chimney that didn’t grow wild. The part of Chimney that’s not open to the public is rumored to be the place where Team Magma built their hideout. So don’t worry about the ‘death by lava’ option… unless they did some digging in there recently, then we’re good,” she said with this furrowed look on her face. “I hope you brought enough water power… I only have four with me, but they hit hard and fast…” she trailed off, brushing aside the undergrowth and finally arriving at one of the “side entrances” that were dotted around Chimney. She then stopped, before turning to face him and then asking, “So… who did you bring along for the Water-types for the little clean-up that we’re going to do today?”
Izumi then looked down the pocket of her jacket; before realizing that she had four out of a possible six; and he was only familiar with one of them at best. The other, she was sure he knew about—since he owned one as well—but the others were going to be a completely new experience for him at the very least. “Come on, what’cha waiting for?” she called out, having already closed the distance and was now at the gaping maw of the entrance. “The sooner we get to the bottom of this, the sooner we can get to go to the café to unwind… and reassure the town that everything’s going to be alright and they don’t need to worry…” she trailed off, her hands already on a particular containment unit as she vanished into the hole on the side of the mountain-sans-active volcano.

WORDS 290 TAGS Josh NOTESWe gotta deal with the lava...
Post by Josh Dragomir on Sept 22, 2014 14:11:39 GMT -5
Josh crossed his arms and thought things over as Izumi explained the situation. "Team Magma, huh?" he said, scratching his beard. "Aye, hopefully no digging was done recently. I don't know how we'll handle a full fucking pool of lava" he admitted with a sigh.
She then asked about which water Pokemon he brought with him, and he smiled a bit. "Well, see for yourself" he said.
"First up... Go, Bastilo!" he said as he threw one Pokeball after taking it off his belt. The Wartortle that Izumi had seen evolve herself would pop out. "Wartortle!" he would respond with a salute. "You see, Bastilo knows both Water Pulse and Aqua Tail. Combine his Aqua Tail with Rapid Spin, and you've got a good lava cleaner that works quite fast, as long as we're careful. Water Pulse summons a good deal of water too" he explained.
"Up next... Go, Dunamus!" he said as he tossed the next Pokeball. Out came a Mudkip that would look around, and the stare he gave when he stopped at Maxine might... Send a shiver up her spine. It seemed so calm, it was almost creepily so. "Mudkip!" he chirped. "Dunamus knows Hydro Pump" Josh explained. "And yes, this is the problematic Mudkip I told you about. We'll handle his attitude problem later, we've got work to do" he added.
"Go, Espio!" he said as he threw another Pokemon. Out came a young Froakie, who obviously hadn't been hatched for too long, but seemed to have an air of confidence and a battle spirit that showed it had a gift, a potential...
"This is Espio, one of the newer members of my team" he said. "He also knows Hydro Pump, so he'll be a big help"
"Finally, I have my escape artist. If something happens, we're going to need a ride out of this fucking volcano lickity split" he said. "So I brought this guy along for a bit of wing power. Go, Fawkes!" he said as he tossed another Pokeball. Out came a Charizard that he didn't believe Izumi had seen since he evolved. This Charizard though, was a... Bit bigger then the usual. 8 feet tall, heavy and muscular, and obviously quite strong. He let out a loud roar upon entrance. "You remember Fawkes, right? He was a Charmeleon when you met him back in Kalos" Josh said with a small smile. "He's gotten quite big, to say the least. And his flight training is coming along quite nicely"
"And of course... This guy wouldn't let me leave without him" he said with a laugh as he took out one more Pokeball. "Go, Lightning!" he said as the bandana Pikachu would come out of his Pokeball. "Pika!" he greeted Izumi happily.

“I doubt they’ve been around these days. But still, better safe than sorry, right?” she began with a chuckle as he then began plucking Pokeballs and sending everyone within out one by one; chuckling as she saw the “turtle shuriken” Wartortle appear first—which made her smirk, because she already had a Squirtle of her own by this point in time. The next one to make his appearance was the problematic little Mudkip they’d discussed over the phone; and even for a cute little thing like a Mudkip, his demeanor was nothing like the kosher kid that Shuyin was like. He is kind of creepy… not playful. Why the hell is it calm… she thought to herself as the next companions made their appearance—it was something that suddenly reminded her of her own Froakie, Sakura. “Heh… looks like there’s another possible family reunion. Espio, at least from what I know… has an older sister of a Froakie. And that sister’s under my care,” she added with a laugh.
The last two were a surprise—at least for the next one. She then blinked as she watched Fawkes… literally unfurl himself to a very impressive eight-foot height. “Whoa. WHOA. No, seriously, how did he get so huge? Better make him duck if we run into low ceilings,” she added with a chuckle; before watching Lightning make his appearance once more. “Hi Lightning,” she began, crouching down and waving in his direction. “I thought you weren’t one for the Pokeball… humor me surprised,” she added with a chuckle as she stood up and then saw that there was still enough space for her to introduce her team. “So, bringing out the heavy guns… let me introduce you to mine…” she trailed off with this smirk on her face as she then sent them out one by one. The first Safari Ball popped open and revealed an Empoleon, tall and majestic. “This here’s Nixe… quite proud, not to mention really bossy over all the other Water-types. You’ll see why…” she trailed off as she then sent out a Net Ball, watching as the flash of red light transformed into the male-now-female Swampert, Kei.
“Her you’re familiar with, because Fallarbor,” she added with a grin as the Swampert made a waving motion in Josh’s direction; before hesitating on sending out the next one—because he was just way too large. “Alright, you’re up,” she continued, plucking another containment unit and watched as a Poliwrath made his appearance. “…another one of his ‘mons under my care. Name’s Jet, if you’re curious…” she trailed off, and then decided to just have these three out for the time being. “If I send out the other three, we’d never fit in the passageway… so shall we start with the ‘rescue’ operation? You know what to do if you see lava pools or trails of the hot stuff. Douse it as fast as you can,” she added, taking the position of lead and walking forward into the somewhat cramped tunnel. Thankfully, her own ‘mons weren’t too large to actually block the pathways and cause traffic. At the same time, the heat radiating from the passageway was starting to make her feel… quite uncomfortable.
“Urgh. You feel that? Looks like our work’s going to be quite cut out for us…” she muttered, fanning herself with her free hand as the three Water-types then made their way forward, preparing to fire off and cool down any flowing lava.
Post by Josh Dragomir on Sept 25, 2014 7:43:02 GMT -5
Ah, if only Josh had known he had met both Team Magma and Team Aqua before. They'd certainly have more information about this mission. Regardless, this still wasn't going to be easy.
"Oh right, this was your Egg" he said, patting his new Froakie on the head. "Fro!" Espio chirped in greeting. "I gotta tell ya Zuzu, this guys a powerhouse. He's gonna grow up strong" he said with a laugh.
He chuckled toward her reaction to seeing Fawkes. "Yeah, he's a big boy" he said, leaning against his Charizard. "A tough one too. He's gonna be a big help for us in a jam" he added.
"Pika!" Lightning greeted with a wave. Josh shrugged. "He's indifferent. Sometimes he hates it, sometimes he doesn't care" he said. "I just roll with it" he added.
As Izumi showed her Pokemon, Josh could feel the heat rapidly starting to grow and he frowned. At Izumi's suggestion, he nodded and returned Fawkes to his Pokeball and let Lightning take his place on his shoulder as usual. "Let's get moving then" he said.

Now that they were getting deeper into the belly of Mount Chimney, the heat was starting to more than just overwhelm her at this point. “Bleh, it’s so hot…” she muttered, quickly stripping down her light jacket; revealing that she was wearing a simple crimson-colored shirt underneath; before tying off the light jacket across her waist. “Man, this heat can cook anyone alive if they’re not too careful…” she trailed off, looking around—and then seeing that there was something that was emitting a lot of steam, coating the area ahead in what appeared to be a heat haze. “Crap, looks like this is the beginning of the lava pools… look over there, Josh,” she trailed off, pointing ahead into the haze; and there was something that… definitely didn’t look natural in terms of natural landscaping. “If you see anything that looks like it’s been man-made or something… you know what to do. Cool off the lava first, and then we investigate and see if there are any machines or other man-made stuff inside that’s causing the place to heat up like this…”
Looking at her three assembled water-types, she then nodded, before pointing ahead. “Nixe, Jet, Kei. If you see anything that’s on fire, put it out right away. Use Surf or Hydro Pump if you have to,” she added, and with another look, the three then dashed forward, spraying water from their mouths as fast as they could manage—because it looks like they’d walked into something that was like a “furnace”; the heat haze was just that horrible. “Be careful not to destroy anything that looks man-made, we need to check it out first, okay?!” she shouted over the din of the gushing water; and the torrents got stronger—the Poliwrath had apparently resorted to using Hydro Pump now, because the heat haze was suddenly getting thicker, the further inward they went. She could hear the roaring water that signaled Surf—and knew that things were apparently dire; and looked down in time to see that the water was now flowing past her feet. “I hope you brought a pair of shoes that won’t mind getting wet, Josh… because Kei just used Surf a few moments ago,” she added with a chuckle as she began fanning herself—what was with this goddamned heat haze inside the cave anyways?!
Post by Josh Dragomir on Sept 30, 2014 22:45:58 GMT -5
The heat got bigger and bigger as they went. It was obvious they were going right into the fire, and Josh knew it right off the bat. As Izumi complained, he smiled faintly. Despite wearing a jacket, a new one, actually... It was a long jacket this time, black with the same blue logo on the side as the old one, along with a dark blue t-shirt. His new steel toed boots made noise as they hit the hard ground, but Josh didn't seem bothered by the heat whatsoever despite how much black he wore. He was used to heat, it was normal to him. He'd lived in a tropical region before and Hoenn was as tropical as it got as well. This was nothing. He'd faced volcanoes in the past as well... But that was a story for another day. No need to discuss knocking zombie Pokemon mutants into molten magma while fighting for your lives right now.
Heat hazes. Lava pools. The works. Josh raised an eyebrow, he should have seen this coming... Hopefully, they could handle it before anything serious happened. Josh nodded as Izumi laid out instructions, and would nod to his team. "You too, guys" he said to his team, who would all give some sort of affirmative. "Hydro Pump, Water Pulse, whatever you got to get rid of any fire you see" he added, re-affirming.
Josh raised an irritated eyebrow to Izumi's mention of Surf as his Pokemon team would get moving, running to and fro and spraying any fires they found. "Pika...." Lightning whined. Not again.
Post by Izumi Yamamura on Oct 1, 2014 4:16:28 GMT -5
“What?” she asked innocently as Josh shot her this “what are you thinking” look; while she heard Lightning suddenly speak up while riding on his shoulder. “Well, Hydro Pump can only cover so much, you know? Surf is wide-reaching… so better get out of the way if you don’t want to get soaked. The runoff should reach us over here; but hey, as long as it’s water, we can get away with finishing this up quickly…” she continued, secretly glad she’d decided to wear another pair of boots instead of her more-favored ones this time around. Over at where the three were now blasting all forms of water, it was the Poliwrath who had found something… quite unusual. Curiosity got the better of him; so after using another Hydro Pump blast at a nearby pool of lava, he walked over to the strange-looking contraption he’d spotted not too far away and began poking at it.
It was something that looked like an effects rack; only it was covered with weird buzzing, spinning dials; and there were lights flashing all about its surface. Of course, since Jet had been working with a certain deceased individual who was part of a certain villainous team (at least until his previous owner had passed on) he knew that anything that looked out-of-place in any natural setting was suspicious, so the bipedal Pokémon then made his way back to where Izumi was standing, fanning herself like crazy. “Wrath, poliwrath. Poli,” the Tadpole ‘mon said her way, before pointing straight ahead; to where the heat haze was hottest. “Eh? Jet, what’s up?” she asked, surprised to see that one of her own ‘mons had returned to where she stood. “Wrath, poliwrath, poliwrath,” he continued in an insistent voice; and since the heat was really getting to her, she then decided to humor the Poliwrath and then followed him. “Hey… Josh, I think you might want to follow me…” she trailed off, still fanning herself because the heat was still at an unbearable level.
The Poliwrath then took the lead, blasting bursts of water at anything that wasn’t solid ground; actually passing by the Swampert who had directed the flow of her own Surf attack to another rather large pool of boiling magma; and actually crossing her Empoleon’s path—there was only so much a Bubblebeam could do before it ran out of power. After walking a considerable distance, the Poliwrath then came to the “object of interest” he wanted to show his mistress—there was a machine standing in the cavern, and it was backed up near what looked like a very active pool of bubbling magma. “OH.Oh, shit, you’ve got to be kidding me… seriously?!” she hissed, smacking a palm to her forehead as she then strode forward in order to inspect the metal box that was almost as high as her waist; covered with buttons and spinning dials. “The hell is this?!” she exclaimed a few moments later.

WORDS 495 TAGS Josh NOTESCrap. Human interference...
Post by Josh Dragomir on Oct 3, 2014 0:23:15 GMT -5
Josh rolled his eyes as he let his Pokemon get to work with their Water Pulsing, Hydro Pumping, etc. "Yeah yeah" he said, with a sigh. "Just wish we'd known sooner you'd be the Muddy Surf Queen again. You're already the Smelly Queen after all" he teased with a cheeky grin.
Soon enough though, Izumi's Poliwrath would find something and bring Izumi along with it. "Whatcha found there?" Josh asked as Izumi asked for him to accompany her. He was curious indeed to what they possibly could have found. Everything had gone smoothly so far. Josh hoped it would stay that way.
Sadly, it wasn't to be. Josh raised an eyebrow as they found the machine, near a... Rather active pool of magma. The machine was likely still operating. That wasn't good. This couldn't continue, he decided immediately.
"Great...." he said, sighing. "What do you suppose we do, Zuzu?" he asked. "I could destroy it. Easily, really. Fawkes can do the job"
Post by Izumi Yamamura on Oct 4, 2014 1:37:06 GMT -5
“Were you saying something about my usage of Surf back there?” she began with a chuckle, before getting back to the matter at hand that they were looking at right now: there was a waist-high machine that was covered in spinning dials; plus there were some buttons here and there on the weird contraption. Izumi knew that missions were never going to be easy—who knew that clearing out the lava would lead them to this rather intriguing; if somewhat morbid, discovery? At his next words, she then pondered on what to do—and then scanned the surface of the contraption. It was hissing strangely; and exhuming a lot of steam; but otherwise; other than its placement; it was just a weird, normal machine. “Huh… I suppose we could go and just press all the buttons on its surface, but of course that’s not right…” she muttered to herself, studying the weird machine. If I was a member of an evil organization… what would be the first thing that I would do… she thought, before backing away a few steps.
“Alright, since this thing obviously doesn’t have a manual… let’s try the next best thing,” she said, almost forgetting that Josh was watching her. She then breathed for a few moments, before taking aim and then aiming a solid kick right at the thing! Normally, her kicks would have been enough to send a door flying off from its hinges; but all it did was bang against the thing with a loud noise—and then more steam issued quite ominously from the thing. “Shit. Well, that didn’t work…” she growled, cracking her knuckles. “Josh—normally, burning a slag heap into metal would be a good idea; but you forgot—remember what the mission details said? Someone saw some really shady people going in and out of here before the entire magma system started becoming really hyperactive… so… it might be a guess, Team Magma might be up to no good again; or someone else might just be testing their machines in a natural environment; but otherwise; this thing is bad news…” she trailed off, before whistling into the heat haze; and her Poliwrath then came trotting over again, having just finished using another series of Hydro Pump attacks in order to cool down the magma it had passed by before reaching her.
“Jet. Can you look around and find any more of these weird machines for us, please?” she asked, gesturing to the metal thing that he’d found earlier. “Let me know if you find any,” she added, as the Tadpole ‘mon then nodded, before walking back into the heat haze, now on a different mission. “Continue putting out any magma pools for us while you’re at it!” she shouted through the mist; before looking at the weird contraption again. “Alright… time to get this…” she muttered, plucking out a Quick Ball and releasing Fulmine in a flash of red light. “Meet my Electivire, Josh. Well… the next best thing we can do is to short out the damned thing… Ful, if you may. Please aim a Thunderbolt attack right at that thing…” she continued, pointing at the metal contraption. Since she had no idea on how to operate it—the next thing to do, after trying to kick it, was to short it out! the Thunderbolt ‘mon then nodded, before holding her hands out in concentration—and if Josh looked closely, he might notice that there were several moon-shaped scar marks riddled across her arms.
A few moments later, a loud peal of lightning shook the area—but instead of it being the normal stream of yellow energy… her Electivire had unleashed a blast of pitch-black lightning, aimed at the metal box! As the black lightning hit the box, she heard something fizxzling within, before hearing something explode, muffled by the metal. “Th—use your Thunderbolt one more time, and if it still doesn’t break, follow up with your Electro Ball attack,” she continued, blinking so that she didn’t miss it. Another peal of black lightning rained down on the strange machine—before her Electivire then focused her hands together like a certain fighter—and conjured up a globe of black, crackling electricity—and then sending it hurtling towards the weird metal box.
Post by Josh Dragomir on Oct 7, 2014 1:49:29 GMT -5
"No shit" he commented, shaking his head when she asked about her using Surf. "The fucks the difference between Surf and Muddy Water besides the obvious fact of one being Muddy Water and one being... Well... Water?" he asked, shrugging casually, maybe a bit irritated. He didn't feel like getting these new clothes soaked after his mom had spent so much time and energy making them for him!
But it was time to get back to business at hand. Surf irritation aside, there was a problem here. There was a waist-high machine that was covered in spinning dials, plus there were some buttons here and there on the weird ass machine that Josh had no idea what they could possibly be for. Figures this wasn't going to be easy. Josh heavily considered having Lightning just shock the thing. Or have Fawkes push it into a pool of lava and be done with it. This was probably the Magma machine she was talking about, after all.
But Josh would raise an eyebrow when Izumi would start kicking it. "Are you crazy?" he asked, blinking. "That thing could explode or activate a failsafe at any moment. If you're gonna hit it, destroy it" he said, letting out an exasperated sigh. Soon enough she gave up and he nodded in response to her words. "You really think Magma's back?" he asked. "If they are, so is Team Aqua. Best be careful"
He looked back to see his Pokemon hard at work, nodding at their progress before turning back to Izumi. She then brought out her Electrivire, but it seemed to have issues short circuiting it. "Lightning, help her out!" Josh commanded to the Pikachu on his shoulder. "Pika!" Lightning let out in affirmative. "Thunderbolt!" he called.
"Pika.... CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Lightning let out as he unleashed a massive Thunderbolt onto the machine.
Post by Izumi Yamamura on Oct 22, 2014 4:58:03 GMT -5
Just as the Electivire had fired off the black, globular-shaped sphere crackling with electric energy, she heard her companion make some off-hand remarks about Team Magma and their aquatic counterpart, Team Aqua as well. “We can only guess, but yeah. Better safe than sorry…”she continued as she watched the orb of black electricity collide with the machine at the same time Lightning had unleashed a powerful bolt of lightning—apparently it had taken two sources of electricity to succeed where one had failed; and the machine then began shuddering, before hearing a series of muffled explosions go off from somewhere within the metallic belly of the beast. She then eyed the thing suspiciously, before whistling in her Electivire’s direction. “Ful, can you check it out for us, please?” she asked, and the Thunderbolt ‘mon nodded, before cautiously approaching the thing; which didn’t appear to be emitting so much steam as it was just earlier.
“Also… you’re not surprised with the coloration of my Electivire’s lightning at all, are you?” she asked casually, because honestly, a lot of people always shrieked out of shock whenever they saw the unnaturally-colored lightning that her Electivire was capable of producing. Over at where the Pokemon was now inspecting the… hunk of metal, she then gave it a few raps, before aiming a kick at it; and then watched as the thing that was almost as tall as herself shudder and give way; before toppling over with a loud-sounding crash. She then deemed that it was safe, and then called Izumi’s attention by way of growling. “El. Electivire, electi. Vire,” she grunted, pointing at it before giving it another rather-casual looking flick with her digits. The hunk of metal was sizzling and sparking; a sign that it was still alive—but not as ominously as it was earlier when they first found the machine.
“Looks like it’s out of commission,” she muttered, squinting through the haze as another shadow was approaching them—it was her Poliwrath, and he was now pointing even further into the heat haze rising from the remaining pools of magma. “Wrath, poliwrath. Poliwrath,” he said with a firm tone, while pointing in deeper. “Oh crap. Looks like Jet found some more…” she added, a look of dismay crossing her face. “Well, let’s get to work and get rid of the machines, eh?” she continued as she then squared her shoulders as she then charged forward into the heat haze, following the Poliwrath.
