After landing in Oldale Town and swapping out Sora for Momo, Izumi knew she had to hightail it back to the Ranch again. What was it with her and all her first meetings with Josh always ended up being a lot on the “emotionally heavy” side of things? She then crashed through the undergrowth (well, not really), hopping over brushes and ledges, balancing another box in her hands. She didn’t tell him that she had another box of Lavaridge Chocolate Forest with her—the better to treat his mother with, since he did tell her that she loved the taste. Heh. Better get working on a dark chocolate version of this cake then, since I’m already trying to make a white chocolate version of this thing… she thought as she then found the familiar beaten path and then followed it, coming back out to the clearing that housed the Dragomir Ranch.
Once she’d set foot on the property, she then saw that there weren’t any trucks around; so she could guess that it was just him and his mother who were here at present. “Heh. Now…” she trailed off, clearing her throat and cupping her other hand to her mouth so that her voice would carry. “Hey, Josh!” she shouted, hoping that her voice would reach—she was taking a guess if he was outside or not. If he was outside waiting, then lucky her. If he wasn’t, then she’d be potentially embarrassed by the appearance of his mom… and why she had such a loud mouth in the first place! “Come out; come out, wherever you are! I’m here! I want to see that thing you’ve been yammering on about!” she continued, hoping that he really was outside; since he did mention that she would “fit” just fine in whatever this thing was that he was gloating about over their earlier phone conversation.

Izumi wouldn't even have a chance to figure out where he was before something would come zipping right past her. It was on wheels, it was big, and it was fast! It looked to be some sort of motorcycle, which would be proven when it would make a u-turn and zip to a stop right in front of her. Riding it was Josh, who would laugh and wave to her. The motorcycle's main frame seemed to comprise of a dark blue color, with outlines and other areas showing a dark red. Decals seemed to have a flame pattern, with lightning bolts peeking out from the flames that seemed to be in the color of a Pikachu's tail. It seemed that whoever had designed the bike had made it with Josh and his Pokemon in mind-paintjob-wise. It was obviously a custom-made motorcycle, and expensive looking too. The main seat seemed good for fitting two humans, as long as the one in the back held on tight. As well, it seemed to be outfitted with seatbelts, something that motorcycles usually tended to lack. It seems whoever designed the bike spared no expense in ensuring safety in a world where wilderness was common, and crashing was a likely danger. There was also two smaller seats on the lower back, but still close enough to the main seats for Josh to reach them. On the one on the right was Lightning, who was sitting comfortably in the half-orb-like section seat made just for the Pokemon (Or a child). He was wearing a helmet, and it was the cutest thing with him wearing it. Josh himself was also wearing a blue helmet, lined with flames. It seemed they had been taking it on a test run.
"What do you think?" he asked with a smirk. "I guess mom was really happy to see me coming home so often, and she realized I had to walk everywhere, including when I need to get home. So... Turns out she's quite the mechanic, and custom made this baby on her own just for me so I could get from place to place easier, since... Well, Fawkes obviously has a long way to go before I can teach him how to ride, and fly large distances. So this is a great way to shave time, supplies and a hell load of effort in getting from town to town, especially if I'm backtracking" he said. "Of course, I know her intent is so I'll come home more, but since I was planning on doing that anyway, this makes it a lot easier" he said with a small smile. "I DID say I'd take you out for a spin on it though" he offered with a grin.
"The best part? It's foldable. Just like the bicycles. At the press of a button, as long as nothing's on it, it'll fold into something really small so it can fit in my bag. Then I can take it out and activate it again whenever I need to get moving. She also gave me something that a friend of hers had been working on, which was a tent that worked like the bicycles, as well as this motorcycle. Leaves more room in the bag, and saves effort for setting up camp. This'll make my travels much easier" he said with a small smile. "Pika Pi!" Lightning chirped happily.

Izumi was wondering where that strange… whirring noise was coming from; a few seconds later she would get her answer as Josh made his “dynamic entry” on a spiffy and very expensive-looking custom rig! Of course, on one of the seats that were occupied, there was Lightning, waving like a silly little kid in her direction, and then josh was sitting astride it—the paint job on it was also customized. “Heh, it’s like you came out of an action flick or something. Look at the detail of customization on the paint job… and… seriously?!” she remarked after hearing the ‘best’ part about it, it was way too hard to believe. How could something that large fold down into something incredibly compact? Was it even possible? Then again, they were in a world where almost everything was possible, and legendaries were said to shape the world that they lived in today…
“Heh, do you have an extra helmet there?” she asked a few moments later, secretly hoping that he did—because if he only had one helmet then there would be problems! She then remembered the box that she was holding, and then said, “Hey, you almost sent the box flying,” she gestured, indicating her hand that now most likely held a smushed cake since she almost had to dive out of the way as he came roaring by on the motorcycle earlier. “I brought more cake for your mom. You did say she likes the stuff,” she added with a grin on her face, hefting the box to her other hand; since it was getting quite tiring holding it up in her right hand at this point. “Let me just drop off the cake in there and then we can get right to freewheeling around the area,” she continued, walking towards the lab’s entrance. Who knows, maybe he already has some sort of course built up somewhere around here or something… that is, if he’s into stunt riding… she thought with a grin on her face as she then pressed the doorbell, hoping that his mother would come and appreciate the gift!

He laughed a bit at Izumi's reaction. "Yeah, it's quite the number" he said with a smirk. "Turns out mom is a master of multitasking. She can raise pokemon, she can do a hell of a cooking number, she's a breeder, she's a professor, she was a great Pokemon Trainer, and somehow she's also a hell of a mechanic" he said with a grin on his face. "Somehow, that crazy miracle built this baby herself, decals and all. Custom made entirely to suit how I travel" he explained. "It's easy to change the speed too, and it has the traits of either an Acro or Mach Bike if needed, via the press of a button, to suit what needs to be done. I gotta admit the fold option is impressive though, although it's a common thing for motorcycles and bicycles in these parts in this day and age" he said. "I mean, the motorcycles are just getting the folding now, with recent tech, but bicycles have been able to do the folding for ages"
He chuckled a bit and opened the storage case attached to the bike, pulling out a red helmet. "Aye, I came prepared" he said with a laugh. "Just mosey on over to the lab and I'm sure she'll take the cake off your hands" he said. When Izumi rang the doorbell, the familiar face of a redhaired woman would greet them, as Josh walked over. "Ah, Izumi! Good to see you again~" she chirped happily. Josh chuckled a bit. "I figured she'd want to see your amazing work, and maybe take a test spin with me as well. Looks like she brought you another cake to boot" he added, smirking. "Oh, how nice!" she chirped as she took the cake. "A little smushed, but something tells me that was YOUR doing, Joshua" she said, eying Josh, who grinned nervously. "I might have scared the pants off of her" he admitted sheepishly. The woman shrugged. "I still appreciate it all the same, and I'm happy you two seem to enjoy my work" she said, seeming content. "Just be careful now. After you're all done, I'll make food for the both of you if you like!" she said.
Josh smiled. "Thanks, mom" he said as he headed back to the bike, tossing Izumi the helmet and getting back on. "Cmon Smelly, let's get going!" he said. Although he looked over at his mom real quick. "By the way, is Maxine back from getting the groceries yet?" he asked. She shook her head. "She should be back relatively soon" she said. "You did tell her Izumi was coming, right?"
Josh nodded. "Aye, I told her. We were supposed to greet her together, since I wanted them to meet since I've told Izumi about Maxine before, but she wanted to help, so... I guess all we can do is wait for her" he said with a shrug. The woman smiled and headed inside as Josh waited for Izumi to hop on.

The inner workings of that bike must be extremely complicated… wonder what makes it tick? She thought as the door opened, revealing the same red-haired individual that had greeted her on the previous visit. “Yeah, it’s definitely his fault,” she added with an apologetic grin on her face as his mother took the box from her hands and then complemented the cake yet again! Heh, thanks for the notes! I’ll make more variations of that cake soon… real soon! She thought with this smirk on her face as she then turned around just in time to catch the spare helmet that he’d tossed her way. “I wonder just how fast that goes…” she muttered more to herself, before quickly turning around and shouting a “thank you very much!” for the food that would be waiting for them once the little joyride was over! She then backtracked at the mention of another name… another friend from the same region, perhaps? The best way was to ask the source directly!
Izumi then began strapping on the helmet, locking the straps on as necessary (she knew how they worked, even if she hadn’t actually worn one her entire life) and then looked at the space on the back of the…rig. “Wait, I have an idea…” she said with a grin, plucking out a certain containment unit and then sending out its occupant; revealing Vincent the Riolu. “R-riooo?” the Emanation ‘mon asked as he looked up in confusion, seeing that his mistress was wearing some kind of weird... thing on her head. “Riolu?” he asked again, pointing upwards, and to answer the question, she picked him up and then walked over to the other side of the motorbike and then plopped him in on the other seat, located on the opposite side of the entire complicated-looking rig. “Today we’re going on a joyride. Hang on tight, okay?” she said, giving him an affectionate tickle before hefting herself onto the motorbike—it was quite like riding a horse. She then swung one leg through the remaining space on the back and then sat herself down squarely, grinning at the Pikachu who was apparently waiting for him to hit the gas.
“Well, what’re you waiting for? C’mon, let’s go!” she said, wondering just where the hell she was going to hang on to! The answer to that would be revealed in due course…

Josh couldn't help but chuckle a bit at her putting her Riolu into the other small seat. "Well, hope he holds on" he cracked with a smirk as he got himself safely onto his own seat. Hitting a button, seatbelts would appear over the both of them, as well as the two Pokemon in their seats. This bike just seemed to have everything, eh?
"Be careful what you wish for!" he chirped as he started it up. The rev of the motorcycle was loud, but Josh didn't seem to care. Lightning held on tight as did Josh as they suddenly rocketed forward. It was quite fast, likely due to the fact Josh had set it to Mach Speed. Of course, he had done it just to scare Izumi. Finally, they'd go from Plains to Forest, but Josh seemed to be alright, managing to weave through the trees with expert ease. It seemed his practice in flying with Fawkes had helped his accuracy in steering big time, which was good since it helped prevent an accident.
Finally, he would u-turn and do the ride all over again, going through the forest before coming to a sudden halt near the lab with their only saving grace being their seatbelts.

Now that she’d strapped on the helmet, there was just one thing left: to actually take a ride on the thing (and most likely scream her head off in the process) when she felt something… slithering across her waist! She was about to let a premature shriek of surprise escape her lips, when she saw that it was apparently a seat belt… and that the two side seats also had their own little belts in it too. “Heh, talk about having everything right at your fingertips,” she said with a chuckle as the Riolu was also surprised to see that there was something holding him in—yet his paws were already on the edges of the little round seat, waiting for the thing to just get going. She was about to ask him when it was going to get moving—when a very loud whirring noise echoed through the clearing; and then they shot off at high speed! High speed seemed to be an understatement though, because the moment the thing got moving, she let out a scream so loud, if there was glass nearby, it would’ve broken!
“What the—JOOOOOOSH what the actual hell?!” she shrieked as loud as she could—she could hear the Pikachu screeching with delight; and her Riolu was just absolutely shell-shocked at the sudden burst of speed—the entire surroundings became a blur around them as he then chose a path he’d apparently been practicing on! “Where do I hang onto?!” she shouted a few seconds later; before feeling her ears burn again as she hung on to his waist and then started screeching for dear life! Damn this thing is fast, this thing is fast, THIS THING IS SO FAST!!! She shrieked in her mind; secretly thankful that he couldn’t hear what she was thinking. She could feel the wind roaring all around them; and the Riolu had actually leaned as far forward as he could manage; before letting a howl of joy escape from his lips—it sounded like a wolf howl, but who cared—as she continued shrieking as loudly as she could manage! “Bloody hell is this thing still on the ground?!” she shouted a few seconds later as the scenery changed abruptly; and thankfully he seemed to be missing the trees…!
She then felt the entire thing take a sharp U-Turn—and she didn’t realize that she was already holding her breath as this happened and he breakneck speed continued, him apparently laughing at the top of his lungs (at least that’s what she thought she could hear over the roaring wind) and the scenery flashing before them on both sides. After what felt like an eternity—but it was only around two minutes or so—they then came to a screeching halt; and if it weren’t for the seatbelt, she’d have been sent flying out of the back of the motorbike! She then let go of where she’d hung on to (his waist) and then shook her head, trying to make sure she was still in one piece! “Damn. Can this thing fly?” she asked a few moments later—the feeling of having left her insides at this very spot catching up to her now that they were at a full stop.
Post by Josh Dragomir on Sept 17, 2014 10:02:59 GMT -5
Lightning had squealed in delight as the motorcycle sped on. And while he was focused on keeping from crashing, Josh couldn't help but start laughing as Izumi screamed from the top of her lungs behind him. What? He couldn't help but be amused at the prospect.
Finally, they would come to a stop. Josh had already taken a few test drives, the ride didn't bother him much after he had learned to adjust. He wouldn't dare take on passengers until he was confident.
Josh would switch off the seatbelts and remove his helmet, his long blonde hair flowing out and flowing in the wind as if it were some kind of lo'real commercial. "God damnit" he muttered as he tried to take his hair back into a neat look again, as he liked it. Wild lion look wasn't his bag of Pokechips, after all.
"So, enjoy yourself?" He asked with a laugh as he hopped off the bike. "Pika!" Lightning chirped as he leaped out into Josh's arms. He grinned and hugged him tight. "I see you had fun!" He said.
He wondered where Maxine had gotten off to... She was late.
Post by Izumi Yamamura on Sept 17, 2014 21:32:34 GMT -5
Now that they were at a full stop, she then decided to remove the helmet and then let out a full-on chuckle as he whipped his off; and for a moment she could imagine sparkles and some weird voice-over saying something about “it’s all worth it” or something along those lines before bursting into full-on laughter at the sight of his hair…practically flowing in the wind! “Heh, you should totally do a few hair commercials or something,” she said after having a hearty guffaw and then watched as Vince then made a beeline for her, choosing to jump upwards into her own arms as well—the tufts of hair on the Riolu’s head looked all spiky and messy now. She then moved to pat it down, but was instead met with a swatting motion—did her Riolu like having his tufts of fur stick out like that?
“Well, if you insist,” she said with another grin on her face as she then let the little Emanation ‘mon climb up onto her shoulders and hitched a ride there. “Oh look, I think he likes Lightning’s style… riding around on shoulders seems to have gotten his attention,” she remarked, still chuckling as Vincent then settled himself down on her right shoulder, hanging on for dear life. “Well, he still needs to work on the actual balance but otherwise I think he likes it out of the Moon Ball better…” she added with another grin on her face as she let the little loopy Emanation ‘mon ride on her own shoulder. After a few moments of passive silence… she then asked the question she’d wanted to see the answer to. “So… how does this thing exactly fold down into that small thing you told me about earlier? Care to give me a demonstration?” she asked, now that they were both off the motorbike.

WORDS 310 TAGS Josh NOTESTotally worth the screaming
Post by Josh Dragomir on Sept 17, 2014 22:04:15 GMT -5
He laughed a bit and stuck his tongue out at Izumi. Hair commercials indeed! His hair wasn't THAT long and flowy! "Why don't you, huh?" he teased, laughing a bit. "You have longer hair then I do!" he cracked with a grin. He would crack his neck, stretching some to try and allow himself some relief. Spending so long on the bike was bound to hurt the neck. Hopefully a good stretch would fix that. He noticed that the Riolu seemed to prefer his hair all spiked up after being on the bike, even going so far as to swat Izumi away when she tried to fix it.
He smirked as he saw the Riolu copy Lightning and cling to Izumi's shoulder. "Well, look at that, you're an inspiration" he joked to Lightning with a chuckle. "Pikachu!" Lightning chirped as he clung to Josh's shoulder as well. Upon Izumi's request, he nodded a bit. "Sounds goood, though I'll have to bring it out again when Maxine returns" he said. "I promised her a test run as well once I adjusted to riding" he explained.
He would pull out a remote control, wrapped in some kind of transparent box that was only openable with a number code, to keep him from accidentally un-folding the bike while it was in his bag. He would unlock the box and pull out the remote before pressing a button. Before their eyes, the bike would suddenly start folding itself, making itself smaller and smaller and neatly compressing and folding itself as if it were a piece of clothing being folded. Eventually, it was just a little thing that looked like a ring box. "Tada" Josh said as he held out the "bike box" for Izumi to see.
Post by Izumi Yamamura on Sept 17, 2014 23:15:44 GMT -5
“Hey,” she began with an amused chuckle as she tossed the helmet his way, “…my hair is just the thing that happens to be on top of my head! I just leave it be. It just… flips and does its own thing. I’m not that mindful about my hair to be honest… because for some reason it just… looks that way. O’course, I still take care of it and give it a trim every now and then,” she continued, watching as Vincent tried to get used to balancing on Izumi’s center of gravity. He was still flailing, but had eventually found the “center” of her gravity and finally settled down on it; before watching him take out a remote control that was even locked away in a transparent container. “Does it really have to be nestled in that box? No auto-lock system or something along those lines?” she inquired, remembering that all mobile phones had this “auto-lock” feature; why didn’t this remote have the same gimmick to it?
She then continued to watch as he then hit the button, and then she had to make sure not to blink unless she missed something! She watched in silence as the gigantic motorbike that was big enough for two fully-grown adults suddenly start compacting itself down into a smaller size, then into another smaller size; then into even another smaller size… until it was just as big as a box where a ring could be stored! “What the hell?” were the first words to actually escape her mouth; how had this even happened?! Was it actually possible?! “Do you mind?” she asked, quickly snatching up the thing in his outstretched hand and then knocking on it—and instead of finding a “seam” that allowed it to open up like a normal ring box, it looked like a solid square of metal. “Kind of hard to believe that this thing is actually that huge motorbike we rode on earlier... But wait, what about the helmets?” she asked a few moments later, replacing the small metallic box back in his hands.
Post by Josh Dragomir on Sept 18, 2014 7:16:50 GMT -5
"Oh. Right" Josh said as he had realized he had forgotten to put the helmets back. He would sigh and put it down, hitting the button on the remote again. Just as if folded, it would quickly unfold and take the shape of that custom motorcycle that Josh had just used to tornent Izumi.
He would yawn and casually open a containment box on the side of the bike and plop the helmets in before closing it and hitting the button again. Soon enough, it was like the bike and helmets were never there. Just the tiny thing that Josh picked up.
"... Yeah. They're foldable too" he said with a cheeky grin. "Pi-pi-kachu!" Lightning chirped.

Izumi could only watch once again in disbelief as the little ironclad box was then expanded to full size by Josh once again; before watching in silence as he opened up a side compartment and just tossed the helmets in there; before pressing the same button once again and watching the entire process happen all over again; it was just too shocking to believe since how could two full-sized helmets that could fit comfortably on a human’s head be able to shrink down and compact into something as small as a square little ox big enough to hold one ring?! “Seriously, how can the helmets survive being squished like that… that’s got to be some real advanced nanotechnology involved in this… either that or I’m just seeing things,” she added with a chuckle as she then picked up the little box again and began tossing it up and down in her other hand.
The tossing of the little iron box then reminded her of another present she had brought along with her! “Oh, that reminds me, I got something for you. While I was looking for a Skarmory, I just happened to chance by one member of your wish list; and… you said you were looking for a Phanpy, right?” she continued, a huge grin on her face. She then tossed the iron box towards him before digging around in her other pocket; and finally unearthing the extra Pokeball she’d brought along with her, before holding it out for him to see. “Look in there. That little one gave Zi and Vince one hell of a time. Didn’t want to go down so easily, so they had to go... full power in order to be able to wear her down and get her ready for capturing. And before you ask… yeah, the Phanpy’s a female,” she ended, the containment unit sparkling in the light of the sun; containing one sleeping little elephantine-like creature who was curled up into a ball.

"Honestly, I have no idea" he admitted. "It's some weird ass nonotech, Smellzy. I can't explain it, and if I could, it'd take me all day" he said, cracking his neck as he put the bike away for now. He was sure he'd bring it back out when Maxine arrived... Whenever that may be.
Then their attention turned to the Pokeball that she handed to him. "Hm?" he said, tilting his head... Odd. Normally, Izumi would sell him eggs to take care of and raise, but Pokemon she'd caught? "What's the occasion?" he asked with a smirk. It was true, he'd been looking for a Phanphy for quite some time. A male one, to be exact, but a Phanphy was still a Phanphy. He still loved it nonetheless. He smiled a bit, and looked the Pokeball over as Izumi told the story.
"Looks like she gave you quite the run for your money" he commented with a laugh. "Thank you, Izumi. I love it" he said with a small smile. He would look around though... Where was Maxine?
"Shall we let this little one out?" he asked as he leaned over the fence, prepped to let the Phanphy out within the borders where it would be safe. "I'm sure the other Pokemon would love to meet the little one"
"Aye, that should be everything he needed." She noted when she tied up the bag of supplies that she collected from the blonde's house.
Maxine and Josh were test driving the bike his mother made for him not too long ago and was low on supplies, the girl offered to head back and grab them for him. Of course once she did that his mother looked like she had a handful with all the stuff she was doing and offered to give her a hand. It wasn't too long and was happy to help, heading back up to the area the two stopped before and headed back up there. She noticed the blonde and called over his name, only for him to drive off in a rush after she was a couple feet from him.
Aye, guess this wasn't going to be easy. Once she picked her feet up and started on a jog she saw the blonde had someone else on the bike with him, wait was this? Either way she tried picking up her speed to catch up with the high speed bike, only to start gasping for air once he finally stopped, practically thanking Arceus when she began to walk to him.
Her breathing was heavy when she stepped to the blonde and lowered her head, raising up the bag she brought for him. "H-Here'a the stuff you needed.. I helped out y-your mom a little, sorry to be l-late.." Maxine gasped out and focused her gaze onto her shoes, of course now she hoped they didn't go off again.
