It was good to hear that the girl's pokemon were well off and safe, even if one of them had taken a direct attack from the nasty Lotad. With the little critters in mind, Olivia glanced down at the pokeball in her hand, her other two pokemon huddled by to look as well. Inside, the grass and water pokemon was glaring at them, and more specifically, Olivia. It was odd, for the woman, to look at this pokemon. Mostly because it was one of the first pokemon she had actually caught, along with those Poliwag. She didn't even own a pokemon until her late teens, and even then they had been bought or given to her. It was different actually catching the pokemon yourself, and now, well... The first pokemon she had caught, and planned to keep for herself, hated her. Or at the very least strongly disliked her. She'd deal with the booger later, she decided, and put the pokeball in her pocket.
Olivia listened to the plan of the inventor, and nodded when she was through, having thought of a plan similar to hers. They even came to the same conclusion; Unless they got to that machine soon, there would be little hope of them being able to obtain it at all, what with the constant attack of large and angry pokemon. "I'd have to agree with you there, dear. It seems like the longer we wait to actually get the damned thing, the more infuriated pokemon come from the lake. I'll have one of my pokemon go down and check to see if there's something we can do." The brunette in command said, pulling out a pokeball. It was a rare occasion that Olivia actually used Deiopea, or like she called her, Dei, because of her massive size. Hopefully that would be of use this time... Tossing the pokeball in the air, directed towards the lake, an enormous serpent like sea monster came forth from the capture device with a mighty roar. Dei the Gyarados was one of her powerhouse pokemon, and Olivia had picked up the monster from a travelling merchant, claiming the pokemon was like a tsunami reincarnated as a pokemon; Exactly what she needed. With a loud whistle, she grabbed the pokemon's attention, and said, loudly so she could be heard over the roaring rain, "Check to see if there is a machine down there, and be careful. There are angry pokemon and I can only assume bigger and stronger ones await at the deeper depths." A roar was the rampaging pokemon's response as it dived into the lake.
Olivia turned towards Blythe, smiling, and began to speak, "Hopefully she'll be able to hand-" Suddenly the earth began to shake as a horde of Barboach and Whiscash came from the lake, slapping their mighty tails on the ground. Olivia's Chinchou was out instantly, having already been damaged from the earlier fight, but Calypso was far from out of the fight. She bounced high into the air when she saw the first fin reach out of the lake. The Aqua member cursed under her breath, and quickly recalled her fallen pokemon. Olivia was hoping the electric type would be able to zap any nasty water types, but it seems she had lost the advantage with the earthquake that had slammed across the field. While she hated to do so, especially since she doubted she could trust the thing, Olivia released the earlier captured Lotad. It burst free from the confines of the pokeball, and immediately turned towards Olivia ready to attack. "No." She said with a flat face, showing no emotion, and instead pointing towards the approaching pokemon, saying, "Those are your enemies. Get them, not me, or else we'll be having a fish salad for dinner." With the rain pouring down still, the Lotad's eyes narrowed at Olivia's words, but it listened to her, for the moment at least. It began to speed through the wet ground, the rain increasing its speed, and launched a ball of green energy towards the leader of the pokemon, the Whiscash. As the ball of natural energy struck the large fish, the airborne Azurill, came hurling back down towards the earth, the ball tip of her tail smacking down on the Whiscash with a deadly crunch being heard.
Calypso eyed her partner, the Lotad in turned eyed her, the two agreeing through communication without words that these enemy pokemon were the priority. The small blue ball pokemon slammed herself into the nearest Barboach, narrowly avoiding a pulse of water. Lotad, on the other hand, was launching blast of green energy at the surrounding Barboach, managing to knock two out. With three Barboach down and the Whiscash dead as well, the pokemon continued their battle.

Things were really starting to get shaken up in Petalburg today.
Blythe’s movement locked down by the rain from the earlier lombre, she hoped the rainstorm dissipated soon. She knew the rain would eventually have to stop, but when? It’d only help out the pokemon spawning forth from the water at this rate. Ass Smasher 5000 got benefit from the rain, but her lone trubbish was putting up a tougher front than she’d initially expected. Loatibah may have been the most excitable and at times annoying member of her team, but she refused to let any harm befall her pokemon that wasn’t necessary.
Naturally, the rumbling and shaking of the ground beneath her caused some stirring. Whiscash and barboach began pouring forth from the water, Olivia trying to subdue her fair portion of the enemies. The discharge of force knocked Blythe onto her behind, a gasp of pain escaping her as her dress connected with the wet grass beneath her. She spat, springing back into action as soon as she could muster. She hated washing clothes, and now she was going to have to do double the amount of work to get one of her favorite dresses clean! She had a thousand copies of the same dress, but she still hated the activity with a passion. The troublemakers would pay dearly for their slight against Blythe Lovelace the Trash Queen.
“Loatibah-!” Blythe readied orders for Loatibah, yet her calls came too late. Poison types couldn’t weather multiple earthquakes, and Loatibah fainted in the midst of her fall. She grit her teeth, pulling out her pokeball and returning her colleague so he wouldn’t procure any more damage. Bastards. “Ass Smasher 5000!?” Blythe barked out to her octillery, whom had weathered the blast with his bulk. He definitely was weather by it, however. Dealing with all those waves of pokemon must have taken its toll. She’d make sure to give him an extra day off when they returned home.
“Ass Smasher 5000, freeze those barboach solid!” Her butler pokemon got to work, charging up with moisture in the air before unleashing a blast of cold energy towards the intended targets. Four barboach turned into four barboachsicles. That was the opening they needed! This way they could get to the machine! If they didn’t fish it out now, then they’d be in for a world of trouble! If they didn’t turn it off soon, well, Ass Smasher 5000’s heavy breathing and slugging movements were more than enough to tell Blythe what she needed to do about it.
Well, she didn’t have to do anything about it personally. Olivia’s gyarados dove into the water to fetch the machine. Well well well, what the perfect pokemon for the situation. She was the spokeswoman for Team Aqua, wasn’t she? It made sense she’d have some powerful water pokemon capable of delving into the depths of the lake. Hell, even Blythe had a pokemon that fit that bill, but she needed Ass Smasher 5000 on defensive duty. They couldn’t afford to spread their resources so thin or risk their force becoming brittle.
“Olivia, be careful! The rain’s about to die down soon. Aquatic creatures of considerable size rise to the surface of the lake during a rain storm. If your gyarados gets ambushed then we’re going to get our asses beat!” Blythe shouted into the storm, seeing the rain clouds start to break up. While she didn’t care too much for the wellbeing of her companion, she was a valuable asset to funding her research. Without her, she’d have to go back to earning money in other ways. Granted, her inventions had made her home almost self-sustainable, but her current level of skill and technology didn’t allow for a total lack of expenses. They needed each other, whether Blythe liked it or not.
One second the pokemon were there, and the next, they weren't. Everything was happening so fast and it was becoming quite difficult to keep up. First off, her little Calypso evolved! A type of pride Olivia had never had for another living being other than herself was being exuded from her, but she didn't pry on it. What was more important was where had her partner had gone?! The last thing she had heard from the girl, a warning for her Gyarados and about the upcoming clear weather, and then, nothing! The storm had broken with a final clap of thunder and lightning, temporarily blinding Olivia. When her vision returned, the girl known as Blythe was gone! While yes, she was worried for the girl's safety, she also had some nagging thought that perhaps the girl had just plain out left. Letting out a deep breath, she looked at the carnage surrounding her and winced. "At least the rain has stopped..", Olivia thought looking towards the sky. "Maybe the horrid pokemon are done as well.", the Team Aqua member thought hopefully.
She was, of course, wrong. As her Gyarados dived deeper into the lake, searching for the machine, bubbles began to rise near the shore. The newly evolved Marril was too busy showing off to her trainer to even notice the stream of bubbles headed her way, and probably would have been knocked out if it weren't for a speedy Energy Ball. The collision resulted in a small explosion, catching everyone's attention. Olivia watched in horror as another horde of pokemon climbed out from the lake, one large Crawdaunt followed by five Corphish. "Slam him, Calypso, and zap him you leafy fish!" She cried, the despair obvious in her voice. Earlier, she at least had Blythe to support her, but now it seemed it would be just her. Listening to her trainer, dutiful as ever, the Marril slammed into the large crab pokemon while the Lotad let loose a ball of green energy. Both, thankfully, made contact. However, it left the two surrounded by angry crab pokemon, and two already damaged pokemon were no match for five furious Corphish. Cupping her hands, Olivia shouted, "BOUNCE, AND MAKE IT FOGGY!" Calypso was up in the air, out of harm's way, before Olivia had even finished her sentence. The small little leaf pokemon, on the other hand, did its best. A thick fog began to pour from the leaf on its back, even while it was being attacked by the large claws of the Corphish. Olivia silently thanked it, and returned the pokemon, knowing it probably hated her even more now.
With no obvious target in sight, the horde of pokemon turned on her. Racing along the shore, the Corphish were about to attack when the previously injured Crawdaunt stopped them with a held claw, walking forward ever so slowly. ".. Fuck." Olivia said aloud, desperately trying to find a way out. It wanted revenge, and it appeared it would get it. Bracing herself for doom, Olivia was surprised to hear a loud crunch, and she opened an eyelid to find Calypso had bounced back into the pokemon and then quickly slammed into a nearby Corphish. With a quick toss of an ultraball at the Crawdaunt and pokeball at the Corphish, she hoped the loss of the leader would calm the Corphish. It didn't. The small crab pokemon came at her and attacked, pinching and scratching at her legs, enough pressure being applied for another bone cracking crunch to be heard, causing her to release a blood curdling scream. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Petalburg. Josh was so close to home back in Littleroot, he could TASTE it! He promised his mother he would come home since she was taking a week off from the ranch to finally rest. The man had long blonde hair, and bright brown eyes complimenting a handsome face of a man that looked to be in his early to mid 20s. Adorning him was a blue scarf, with a black jacket, a blue t-shirt, black pants and black steel-toed boots. On his shoulder was his partner, a Pikachu by the name of Lightning, who just so happened to have a similar scarf hanging snug on his own neck, for backstory reasons that would make you "Aww" and "D'aww". Regardless of appearance though, Josh was a Pokemon Trainer who hadn't been home since he left to begin with. He was just passing through the route, just near Petalburg, and Josh could feel it. He could sense it. Home was so close and he couldn't wait to sleep in a warm bed and eat home-made cooking for once.
Of course, all thoughts were disrupted when he heard the most ear-wrenching, gut-busting, blood curdling thing he'd ever heard in his life. A scream that sounded like something you'd hear out of an overdramatic horror film. But yet, he could hear the suffering and pain. That was instinct to the blonde, who instantly took off toward the source of it without any sort of hesitation. Someone, obviously, was in a lot of trouble, and a lot of pain.
He would come to the lake to find the culprit, and that he did. What did he find? A young woman and a Marill being beset by a bunch of Corphish. Luckily, Josh hadn't been far when the crunch happened, so she wasn't alone for very long after that moment. But regardless, Josh stopped dead in his tracks as he saw the sight.
Now, Josh didn't approve of criminal sorts like Team Aqua. He had a strong sense of justice and wasn't one to allow criminals and delinquents to get away with schemes like, yknow, trying to drown the world and enlarge the fucking sea. But even if he knew who she was, the woman was in trouble, and in serious pain, and Josh would help no matter what, who, or where.
Instantly, his mind was on all cylinders as the blonde thought on his feet. "Lightning, use Thunderbolt on the Corphish that's got her leg!" he called, without even stopping to talk to the woman. Less talk, more action was needed right now. He could check on her after he'd gotten rid of Mr. Krabs's distant angry relatives. "Pika!" Lightning chirped in affirmative and leaped off his shoulder, high into the air. His cheeks sparked, and he took a quick second to charge. "Pika..... CHUUUUUUUUUUU!" was the sound he made as a powerful series of electricity charge from his body and unleashed itself in high voltage into the Corphish, hitting just the right spot so that it struck the Krusty Krab dead on, frying the thing without frying Miss Aqua in the process. The wet Corphish that had just been in the lake would take double the damage from electricity conducting the water, as well as the type advantage coming into play, causing it to release her and crash to the ground, out cold like a lobster good to eat. The other Corphish would retreat into the lake to escape the electricity, but they wouldn't be gone long. Josh knew they would come back in a moment, after regrouping, in order to swarm the group and pick them off by surrounding them.
Josh wasted no time, he and Lightning would run over and check on Olivia. Josh put a hand on her shoulder as he inspected her wounds, then let his eyes meet hers. "Are you alright?" he asked, his expression that of concern as Lightning climbed onto his shoulder. "Pika Pi..." Lightning added sadly, sad for her pain.
Never in her life had Olivia ever felt such intense pain as she did then. Her leg had been broken by a fucking crab pokemon and she was laying there like a damsel in distress. Her night in shining armor, however, would be a stranger. The blond rushed to her aid, his electric pokemon making quick work of the remaining water types. When he approached her, Olivia made no attempt to make herself look more presentable or even care for her wound if she could, she just laid there taking in deep breaths. The man placed a gentle hand on her shoulder, causing her to take in quick short breath and close her eyes, barely hearing his question. Turning her head ever so slightly to look at his face, in hopes of recognizing it, her amber colored eyes met his, and she said with a labored breath, "I've been better."
Deep in the lake, Deiopea finally found the machine, its glowing lights being the beacon she needed. As the Gyarados approached the machine, a glint from the sunlight shining above the lake revealed a pokemon, its eyes glowing an unnatural red. Suddenly, the aggresive Milotic launched forward at the dracken pokemon, wrapping itself around Deipea. She released a roar, intimidating the beauty pokemon, and struggled to free herself, biting at the thick scales.
On the surface, Olivia watched as a few bubbles appeared on the lake then popped. She thought nothing of it, and returned her attention to the man in front of her. Calypso was by then standing guard over Olivia, her injured body protecting Olivia's own broken body. The Marill not trusting the newcomers. Laying her head against the ground, her hair a complete mess in the mud, Olivia patted Calypso's gently, not wasting too much energy, and said with troubled breathing, "T-they're allies, dear." Desperately trying to stabalize her breathing, Olivia breathed in and out, and on the third breath, she opened her eyes. Flying high above, the Aqua mistress watched what appeared to be a blur pass overhead leaving a trail of sparkling particles. "What could those be?", she thought, and reached a hand above her to touch one... And was immediately paralyzed. Her body contracted and her broken leg moved, a loud moan coming from her frozen body. Calypso watched in horror, but wasn't going to let anymore harm befall her trainer. She released a flurry of bubbles that captured the particles and sent them away. With that done, she launched into the air, bouncing into the flying pokemon and causing the two of them to fall to the earth. The Masquerain buzzed as they fell, the ringing causing Calypso to nearly land on Olivia, but with a quick flail of her tail, she landed a bit to the left, hitting one of her pokeballs.
While the land battled started, the lake one continued, the two snake like pokemon intertwined with one another. Gaining a slight advantage, the Milotic released a powerful jet of water at Deiopea, but the Gyarados was quick, and let forth beam of dragon energy, fueled by her rage. The two attacks collided, creating a large pop in the water, and sent the two hurling away. Deiopea recovered first, and she swam towards the other, her body beginning to glow as she approached. The other pokemon attempted to fire another attack at her, but she was already swimming extremely fast circles around the Milotic, and quickly, the pokemon began to raise as the underwater twister sent it towards the surface. With a final push, the twister threw the pokemon out of the lake, and onto the shore with a loud slap.
A flash of light exploded near by Olivia as Calypso had released one of her newer pokemon, a Dragonair. The mystical pokemon quickly took in the scene, and locked eyes on the enemy. The horn on the head of the dragon pokemon, it released a bolt of electricity towards the Masquerain, frying it and causing it to fall to the ground near the Milotic. Calpyso then found one of the ultraballs nearby and rolled it towards the man, looking at the bug type pokemon. Underwater, however, Deiopea was going to work, pulling and tugging at the machine with her body, careful not to crush it.

He smirked a bit at her response. Josh didn't recognize her whatsoever either, so it wasn't like the feeling wasn't mutual. Regardless, it was quite obvious the girl was hurt. Badly, by the looks of it. No surprise there, considering she'd likely had her leg broken by the Crawdaunt and Corphish that had just been attacking her. Pokemon attacking humans though... Not unheard of, but to this degree? How the hell had she pissed them off this bad? Even the Milotic, which he noted had come out, looked incredibly pissed. Weren't wild Milotic and their pre-evolution Feebas usually quite docile? It was odd, then... He couldn't help but wonder what exactly had happened. Maybe this girl was more unsavory then she let on. But that didn't matter right now, right now she was hurt, and obviously needed quite a bit of help. Or, so he thought before he looked up anyway. He watched then, as what he presumed to be the girl's Pokemon start to take on the newcomers without any real trouble.
Meanwhile, Josh noted her protector's hesitation to let him near her. Protective, he noticed. Good. It said a bit about it's Trainer, at the very least... Or, at least he hoped so. That aside, he watched as the Milotic and Masquerain went down.
Of course, then the woman rolled him an ultra ball and motioned to the Masquerain. They had both already been pretty much taken down, but Josh wasn't too sure...
"Lightning, use Thunder!" Josh suddenly called. Lightning nodded in affirmative, it was good to try and attempt to paralyze and damage them both before an attempted catch, even if weakened by another Trainer. "Pika.... CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Lightning let out as a massive discharge of electricity fried the both of them violently, before Josh tossed Olivia's Ultra Ball at Masquerain. While doing that, he remembered the Ultra Ball he had found in Snowbelle City... Might as well, right?
Josh chuckled and took out his own Ultra Ball, tossing it at Milotic.
A final tug was all Deiopea needed to uproot the odd machine that had been infuriating the local aquatic pokemon. The flashing lights of the machine died down and the hunk of metal sat on the lake bed momentarily before the Gyarados wrapped her large tail around it and began to swim towards the surface. She kept a tight hold on the machine, after all it was the very reason as to why Olivia had released the large pokemon into the lake.
As Deiopea struggled to get the machine out of the water, Olivia had a struggle of her own. The paralysis was slowly beginning to wear off, her limbs were returning to her control, but as her broken leg began to react out of instinct, it brought tears to her eyes. Biting her lip, Olivia leaned on her elbows and found her phone, quickly calling up her grunts to come and collect her. Screw the damned machine, she could care less if the people of Petalburg thought more of her or the team. She had just been brutally attacked by fucking Corphish. Olivia waited as patiently as she could for the limo to come, looking to the road every few seconds. Calypso, on the other hand, was looking over at the lake. Bubbles had began to form once more, and although she was exhausted from the fighting, and evolving, she was ready to do anything to protect her trainer.
The large blue pokemon burst out from the water, creating huge waves that crashed on the shore. Deopea swam to the shore, marks on her body showing the fight she had earlier, and let the machine lay in the sand, falling back into the depths a bit, her eyes barely visible over the surface of the lake. Olivia and Calypso were shocked, Calypso expecting more enemies, Olivia surprised that her pokemon had retrieved the machine. "W-well done, hon." She muttered, returning the Gyarados, her grunts showing up right on time. As they helped her up carefully placing her in the limo, they also retrieved the machine, it being the length of a pizza box and as tall a small child, so about three feet. The trunk of the limo slammed shut, the two grunts returning to the driver and passenger seats, while Olivia and Calypso sat in the back. Considering everything that had occurred, it was a miracle Olivia was even awake. Calypso evolving, losing Blythe somehow, capturing all those pokemon, her leg breaking, and getting the damned machine.
In no time at all, the limo was ready to go, the air conditioner having been set to meet Olivia's standards, and her leg properly secured until the next hospital was in sight. Just as they were about to go, Olivia stopped the driver and rolled down her window to reveal her eyes to the blonde man who had assisted her. Her eyes red from the tears she shed, she stared into the man's, saying, "T-thank you... If you need anything, contact me." Slipping one of her cards out the window, she rolled it up, and left the horrible lake side once and for all.

Mission over, finally.
