elcome Adventurer to EPOCH! A Pokemon Sandbox Rp set in the original region of Nue. Everything you need to know will be in the Guidebook and PokeDex 101!
EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.

Sex; When you get under the clothes, fade to black.
Violence; Do not go into extreme nauseating detail.
Cursing; This is so fucking allowed, but don't go overboard.
Suggestive Content; In avatars, signatures and templates can attract the wrong kind of attention. So be careful.

What's currently happening?
After the incident in CoR, and her failures, Arietta is currently feeling very depressed about the idea of being close to human beings. Not only that, but she's been feeling even more irritable lately, and is having trouble sleeping. Both of which hasn't been making her the happiest. She prefers to spend time alone and has been crying herself to sleep more nights then she would like to admit. None of this has been helpful to her overall mood, which tends to really hurt her making connections.
Current Plot: Crossroads
Getting involved? Easiest way to pick a side! More complex then it, but I'll just go ahead and portray it in the most base way I can.
Good Path: Redeem humanity.
To follow the good path, Arietta needs to be reminded why she wanted to impress people. Why she cared about their opinion, why deep down she's always wanted to be close. Instantly moving down to this route would involve her winning a contest.
Evil Path: Dig in deeper in her hatred.
To follow the "evil" path, Arietta needs more affirmation that people aren't worth it. Meeting people with similiar feelings about people, or people who hate her bratty, angry, self-absorbed attitude will push her deeper down this path. Possible ways to make this path move quicker is for her to recruited in a group that wants to feed in her hatred for their own ends.

Progress:
Currently I would say she's a bit uncomfortable deep down the "people can bite me" path but as of right now it seems people are far more interested in redeeming humanity to her. So over time I see it winning eventually, but as of right now how the threads actually go will determine it.

Yay! So we have a finished thread, and I totally have a feel for how their interactions might go. I feel like Danny would find Arietta too young to consider romantically, but that doesn't mean he'll censor his usual banter. You'd think he'd know by now to watch how his words impact people, but no. More fun for us when Arietta plays it cool and shows some charm, and Danny is just standing there like:
'Should I back off? Do I encourage this? It's fun and harmless, so why am I over-thinking this?'
So like, him leading her on is a route we can take. I don't know how long that route will last once she catches on that he acts like that with everybody (like, one social outing in a city could prove this), but it could still be interesting. I'm all for the aftermath of discomfort and sour feelings, or maybe having them come out for the better of it.
OTHERWISE...[Cracks knuckles]
You know I'm all about them ships, friendy-ships, & some trouble.
I propose having mutual ego lifters! Danny's generally all about himself, but he will sweeten anybody up if it helps his own ego in the long run. That and he actually likes people, so why wouldn't he get excited about them? He's your general fun, take you out of your comfort zone kind of friend that will probably give you your fair share of scares. These two could totally build off of each other, and maybe go for some silly, half-serious rivalry about who is the best of the best.
But then there's the thing about Arietta wanting Danny to be more heartfelt about the things he says, and he's just not comfortable with that kind of thing, so almost every goofy thing he says is full of empty metaphors. Like. He just can't put or invest himself in what he says. It would probably be annoying not being able to break through that. Like, you could get him to change how he words things around close friends, but it's a communication struggle.
toot toot. So yeah. Whenever you're ready to have another thread with these guys, let me know. B) Danny is best to interact with in Hoenn and Unova, Sinnoh can work, and anything else I can work out an excuse!

Sorry this is so short, but Thomas is a pretty misanthropic guy. And he would certainly despise her attitude, and it would be very easy for him to get into the mind set to (most likely) unwittingly push her deeper over the edge. Otherwise, if they somehow bond, he would probably be the type to end up swaying her towards misanthropy.
In terms of the attitude though, it all depends on how it's approached. As for the "angry" and "self-absorbed" parts, Thomas wouldn't really care about those, as he sees his desire for revenge as just those kinds of things. So it would most likely be the bratty parts that would piss him off the most, depending on how they surface.
As he is going to be a member of the new Team Renaissance, if he's allowed/can help it, he might end up attempting to recruit her over to the dark side, should their interactions go that way. Though if she pisses him off, he'll probably just opt to avoid her all together, if possible, being an asshole if they're forced together in a situation after the fact.

Very much seems like we should give these two characters interacting a chance. Seems like in the end, we won't know what will happen until it does.
She is feeling a bit.. emotional at the moment, which I imagine is actually likely to make her more angry, but perhaps a bit less bratty. At least for now a bit. So I'm certainly interested in how it will go. She's in a vulnerable state, and I'm curious how a thread with them will flow. Him being annoyed by her is likely to make her more angry, but at this point that actually might help make the case that people aren't worth it.. but you know, he might be one of those people who isn't worth it.. but he might be useful. Hehe.
