So there was a little screw that Zerne had decided to throw into the plans in order for her to be able to go under his tutelage—and that involved her going all the way to the Safari Zone once more; not for her own searching, but this time for him. She already had a Larvitar and wanted to offer it for breeding, but apparently no thanks to Kouji contacting her and warning her about the ban still being ‘on’ the Larvitar race, she had to go and do this the hard way—by actually trekking into the Zone itself and getting the actual ‘mon for him. What didn’t make her happy was the fact that there was someone who was going to be tagging along for the ride—and it was some of his own ‘mons, but she was assured that they were just going to ‘watch’ her in action. Well, watch me in my own element why don’t you… she thought after going through the mandatory check down and out into the huge Safari Zone that was lai out in front of her.
“Right, so…” she said to herself, quickly finding Sora’s PokeBall and then releasing the Valiant ‘mon in a flash of red light. “Well, this time we’re looking for something else. I know we already have Ivan but Zerne has issued me a challenge. Plus I only have you and three others to bring along… because he asked me to crate along two of his ‘mons to act as sentries and guards… kinda creepy if you ask me,” she added in an undertone, to which the Braviary could only squawk. “Well, we’re looking for Ivan’s… errr, duplicate,” she ended off, and then described the Larvitar in detail, down to coloration, Typing, and movement speed. “If you find one. Let me know,” she said, before shushing him off to the sky—and the Valiant ‘mon gave a cry, before spreading its wings and taking off into the sky. “Good luck,” she said to the receding speck; and then looked back down on the ground and saw that the two ‘special guests’ were already out… but wait, why was there only one…?
“Eh? I thought he said there were going to be two of you. Where’s the other?” she asked the Ralts that was looking at her, regarding her with some confusion—this was the first time Castor had come out and it wasn’t Zerne’s face that he’d seen. Little did Zuzu here know that the other ‘mon, a Duskull whose nickname was Pollux, was already trailing her from behind the shadows… “Oh well, come on. Let’s go,” she said, quickly redirecting her steps towards Zone 2 of the Safari Zone—where the mountainous region was. “Well, bring it,” she said, quickly making her way over to where the region began—and the search would commence.

It was as if the heavens was trolling her to an infinite degree—she was searching for a Larvitar, and what decided to make its grand appearance instead? A Bagon. She could only slap a hand to her forehead in disgust; why did the creature decide to come out now, while she was on a challenge issued by someone else? She was sorely tempted to catch the Bagon and be done with this entire charade; but she knew that she had to resist—and that she could contact Kouji instead and ask him to find one for her and breed it if ever he got his hands on one. Still, there was something about the Bagon that was irking her off—and one of the other three PokeBalls on her belt started to wiggle. She was surprised to see that it was the Safari Ball, which contained the crazy ‘ninja’ Gible that she’d nicknamed draken, and before she could stop it, said Safari Ball fell to the ground and out came her Gible in a flash of red light—and the moment the Land Shark made its appearance, it gave what sounded like a war cry, before looking back towards Izumi with a fierce look of determination.
“Wait, Draken, you’re not supposed to—oh well since you’re asking for it. Can you go and get some practice done with that Bagon? I swear I’ll be back in the future for a Bagon so you have a sparring partner. I know you don’t like being bossed around… so Draken, have at that Bagon. Use your Dig, and then top it off with a Dragon Claw attack right off the bat. Evade if need be,” se said, issuing the first set of command, and the Gible roared once again, before quickly digging up a hole in the ground and disappearing from sight. The Bagon that was now looking at Izumi curiously had gone on the defensive, quickly doing what looked to be a Scary Face status change—but where was the ‘mon that was supposed to be affected by the change? She could feel the ground trembling underneath her—was this a sign that her Gible was going to be some sort of a powerhouse when it finally evolved?
The answer was clear: the Bagon, having taken up too much time trying to locate where the Gible had gone off to, had completely forgotten to protect its back—and Izumi saw a shadow moving behind it; before a shower of dirt, and rocks came pelting towards the surprised Bagon’s body. It let out a cry of distress; before the Gible quickly followed it up with the earlier-mentioned Dragon Claw attack; and draconic energy rippled off of the Gible’s little hands; which quickly caught the surprised Bagon unaware. She was also reminded that Dragons could only be taken out by fellow Dragons, so she called out after this swift exchange, “Draken, be careful of any Dragon-type moves the Bagon will toss your way. it could potentially turn nasty,” she said, before watching the battle from the distance—just as the Bagon quickly fired off an Ember attack.
The flames rolled off harmlessly along the ground; and the Gible looked back to where Izumi stood, and she continued, “Go forward with a Dragon Rage and then follow that up with a Slash attack, knock that thing into next week!” she issued, and the Gible took quick action, maneuvering itself into position and then watched as it took a deep breath, and then released a ball of draconic energy from its mouth, which went sailing right at the Bagon, which was apparently tightening its focus with a Focus Energy attack. Now that it was thrown off, the Bagon never saw what was coming—for one moment the Gible was near Izumi, and the next it was already right in its face; and then the Slash attack connected right on its face, wherein it gave a howl of pain before trying to retaliate with a Crunch attack.
“Dodge that, Draken, and Dragon Claw once more!” she called out; watching as the fangs bit nothing but air—and the Gible quickly evaded the Bagon’s face—only to swipe its draconic-laced claws right in its face once again; before backing away to take a look at the Bagon which was now positively howling in pain due to the super effective damage of the Dragon Claw (and all previous) attacks. She then took a look at the Ralts that was regarding the scene; apparently it was watching intently—and she then continued, “Draken, Slash and then Dragon Claw combination!” she issued towards the Land Shark once more; and then watched as it quickly moved away; then seemingly closed the distance just as the Bagon fired off another Ember attack. Some of the flames had rolled off its body, but it did no permanent harm—and then the razor-sharp claws of the Gible came in, scoring a critical hit on the Bagon once again—to which it was quickly followed up with another Dragon Claw attack.
The battering ram of attacks was a bit too much for the Bagon to bear, and it finally rolled over and collapsed from exhaustion—and the Gible then kicked some dirt in its face before approaching Izumi once again with a haughty look. “Damn you’re scary,” she said, quickly recalling the Gible back into its PokeBall; and now they were on to the next hunt.

Now that they had gotten rid of the Bagon, they continued their trek through the mountainous area; the little Ralts keeping up with Izumi as she climbed through several rock faces; and almost had to climb a wall without help of equipment—thankfully that didn’t happen—when another screw was thrown into her way—it was a Torchic, and it was also part of her wish list! Must you all really come out right now when I’m on a hunt? She thought to herself, resisting the urge to roll her eyes; and instead slapping apalm to her forehead out of annoyance. She then sighed, before getting the one Pokeball she’d been itching to use—it had something weird scratched on its surface, which read, ‘Can Haz?’ and she chuckled—it was an inside joke to people from the Hoenn region.
“Right. Yuya, time to make your grand appearance!” she said, quickly hefting backwards and then tossing the ball; she watched as the red light that shot out of the Pokeball coalesced into that irresistibly cute, and extremely affectionate, Mudkip. The Torchic looked over at Izumi once, twice—before making a beeline towards the Mudkip, hopping over the craggy rocks and finally coming to a stop. However though, Yuya wasn’t here to ‘play and make friends’… he was here on business. Right away he took a defensive stance and took a deep breath—before launching a Water Gun attack right at the incoming Torchic! Holy crap is this how suppressed my ‘mons are? She thought as the Water Gun attack smacked the incoming Torchic full-on in the face, and it let out a cry of surprise—before quickly retaliating with a Focus Energy status increase; as it was concentrating, looking straight on at the Mudkip.
“Holy crap Yuya, are you really itching that much for a fight? Come on then, let’s show the Torchic what you’re made of! Mud Slap and then follow it up with a Water Gun attack, now!” she shouted, skidding off to one side as the playful Torchic was rebuffed and quickly fired off an Ember attack, if but to scare the Water-type. The little fire balls exploded harmlessly around the Mudkip—and then it reared back, before quickly sending several waves of mud towards the Torchic that was preparing for a Peck attack! Needless to say, the Torchic took the full-force of the Mud Slap attack to its face—and was sent backwards a few paces due to the surprise Water Gun that suddenly came soon after the earlier attack. Seeing that there was a tactical advantage, Izumi followed it up with, “Go on Yuya; take the heat with Bide, I know you’re a tough cookie, show that little bird we’re on serious business right here!”
She knew that the Bide attack was risky in itself, because it would leave her Mudkip open—but seeing that the Mudkip was now standing there doing absolutely nothing, bracing itself for the attacks it would sustain—the Torchic quickly retaliated with a Flamethrower attack; and she secretly flinched as well—as the flames enveloped the Mudkip, the Torchic then came in close for another, deadlier, up-close-and-personal Peck attack—yet ended up missing due to the accuracy-decreasing effects of the Mud Slap it had taken earlier—and skidded off to one side and unloaded another Flamethrower attack. She knew that the Flamethrower attack was not as effective on the Water-type—and then suddenly the Mudkip ran forward, and quickly unleashed a blast of power—that was the effect of Bide; to take attacks for two consecutive turns before throwing back the pain it had suffered at double the usual power—and the Torchic could do nothing but take the brunt of the attack full on in its face and then staggered off to one side.
Apparently this was not enough to appease the Mudkip, and before Izumi could yell at it to stop, it had unloaded another Water Gun attack right in its face; and it gave another squawk of pain before attempting to scramble to its feet. A thought suddenly flashed into her head—would it be possible for Safari ‘mons to evolve when they’re threatened? She watched as the Torchic tried to aim another Ember attack, yet ended up missing completely instead and hitting the bush beside the Mudkip—and she shouted, “Yuya, put out that fire right away with your Water Gun attack, and then hit it once again, lets go!” she shouted, gesturing to her Mudkip to actually hurry up with the proceedings.
It then blasted a torrent of water towards the smoking bush-before turning its attention back to the Torchic, which was attempting to hit it with another Peck attack—yet was easily deflected by the incoming second blast of water that Yuya had spat out in its direction. Once it had been doused in the face, said Mudkip quickly followed his mistress into the undergrowth; and they were off to look for another ‘mon. The Ralts was keeping up with them via Teleport—however this time it was the Duskull that had seen the proceedings, and it was leering to its ‘twin’ about what it had just seen.

As both mistress and Mudkip were traversing through the undergrowth, they both heard a rustling noise. Waving a hand in Yuya’s direction to stay still, Izumi slowly inched forward—to reveal that there was another ‘mon in the distance—and it had a flaming tail, and this was the point where Izumi actually rolled her eyes out of irritation—why was most of her wish list coming out to play with her today?! She then hissed out of annoyance, before quickly stamping the ground and throwing a tantrum for a few seconds—which both Ralts and Duskull saw, and the Duskull started sniggering; though it wasn’t heard by the human—and then she was heard to shout, “Cosmos, why the hell are you throwing me monkey wrenches today, right now, at this very moment?!” came from her direction, before she waved a fist at the heavens and actually flipped a finger to it.
Thankfully the Mudkip hadn’t budged from its spot—but when he heard his mistress’ shout of annoyance and distress; he quickly hurried over and began gnawing at her heel. “Kip, mudkip?” she heard a familiar voice asking; and that caused her look down and her expression softened. “Well, Yuya,” she began before crouching down and giving it an affectionate chin-scratch, “…you don’t want to know how furious I am, but it’s not so obvious, right? Now, can you go get that Charmander for me? We’re not going to catch it… someday soon, though…” she trailed off, shooting it an envious look, before watching the hyperactive Mudkip leap forward and quickly took a defensive stance across from the Charmander, which was just apparently eating some berries.
Things between the Charmander and the Mudkip were looking pretty slow though—that was until the Mudkip apparently crossed a line; and that’s when things started—the Charmander quickly abandoned its stash of Berries and then came sailing towards it, baring its blazing fangs, and that caused Izumi to screech out of surprise. “Holy shit. Yuya, Quick, dodge that and counter with a Water Gun attack, now!” she shouted, watching as the Charmander veered in dangerously- close…only to hit the ground instead; she was thankful that her Mudkip still had some sort of energy within it, even if it had already beaten up a Torchic just a few moments ago. She watched as the Mud Fish ‘mon took a deep breath and quickly released a blast of water from its mouth, catching the surprised Charmander off-guard. It looked up just in time to get a face full of water blasted its way—and then it yelped out loud, caught by surprise.
Now that it had been engaged, the Charmander quickly went on the offensive, taking a deep breath of its own—and then releasing a ball of draconic energy from its mouth—and Izumi wasn’t exactly sure what this attack was—and saw that her Mudkip had taken it full-on in the face; and was now crying out of surprise. “Don’t just stand there Yuya, blast it again with a Water Gun, then follow up with a Tackle attack soon after! Evade if needed, and keep alert!” she called out, watching as the battle field unfurled—the Charmander was coming in again for another Fire Fang attack—and was promptly caught by surprise due to the Water gun attack that the Mudkip was now firing off. It let out another surprised yelp; and fell as if in slow-motion—only to have the Mudkip charging fullon at it, attempting to hit it with a Tackle attack. She was silently cheering the Mudkip on—when the Charmander suddenly retaliated with a full-on Slash attack; and caught the poor Mud Fish direct to the face!
“Kip!” she heard it cry out in pain as it was sent flying backwards; and came to a stop near where she stood; she then dashed over and crouched down to see the damage—and her eyes almost threatened to pop out of their sockets—for there was a full-on slash mark running down the center of its face, and it was bleeding. “Ah shit, really, is it that dead-serious on defending its Berry Horde…” she hissed, quickly reaching into a pocket of her cargo pants and pulling out a cloth towel, in an attempt to staunch he blood that was running down the Mudkip’s face. “Yuya, I know you can still battle, hang in there, okay? We need to show what we’re made of,” she said, patting its face and wiping off most of its blood—yet there were still streams pouring out of its wounds. “Kip, mudkip, kip!” she heard it cry out, nuzzling her arms for a bit, before hopping away from her—it now had this steely look in its eye—and it was as if the Charmander was mocking the Mudkip, for it was laughing—and then, proceeded to return to business once again.
Knowing that its Slash attack was the deadliest, it then charged forward, and even if Yuya’s line of vision was seeing red (due to the blood still gushing out of the deep wound it had received) it stood firm; waiting for his mistress to call out its orders. “Stand your ground, Yuya, stand your ground! Wait until it’s close enough, then unload on it with the best Water Gun you can manage!” she shouted, still holding the stained cloth, apprehensive for her ‘mon’s safety. As the Mudkip looked on towards the incoming Charmander, it suddenly made a split-second decision—instead of standing its ground, it cut off to the side, and then released the Water Gun attack in its full power; catching the Charmander’s exposed side!
“KIIIIIP!” she heard it cry out, almost like a roar, and then proceeded to turn up the power of its Water Gun attack—without even letting his mistress issue the command—and another powerful jet of water smacked the now-surprised Charmander—what had it gotten into? She then watched on in silence as the Charmander attempted to sink its bazing fangs once again into the enraged Mudkip—another torrent of water poured out of its mouth—and then she finally understood what was going on—her Mudkip’s ability, Torrent, was kicking in; now that it was in danger! “Yuya! Keep using your Water Gun attack on it! Put its fire out! Evade if needed!” she shouted from the sidelines; and from the corner of her eye, saw that Yuya had nodded, understanding her order—and it began its torrential assault of Water Gun attacks.
The Charmander was trying to approach it again with another barrage of combined Fire Fang and Slash attacks, but it was proving difficult due to the continuous spray of water that was issuing from the Mudkip—and as it tried yet again to come close to the Mud Fish ‘mon, it slipped—the ground was becoming muddy at this point. Seeing that there was an opening, she then called out, “Yuya, change of tactics, use Mud Slap on it now that it’s caught off-guard, then continue with the Water Gun torrent!” and proceeded to watch what was happening—the waves of mud caught it smack in the eye, and said Charmander howled in pain—before meeting another blast of water from the Mud Fish ‘mon’s mouth. She watched as the Mudkip kept darting around, trying to taunt it to come closer—and now that it was blinded (and its accuracy went down) the Charmander was now trying to slash thin air—why was that Mudkip dancing out of reach—and then one final blast of water later, the Charmander fell over exhausted, the flames on its tail flickering dangerously low.
“Come on Yuya, that’s enough,” she called out—and the Mudkip let one more blast of water fly from its mouth—aimed at the Charmander’s tail—and then turned around and headed back over to his mistress. She was shocked to see that there was still blood pouring out of the slash marks on its face, and then she hissed—what had the Charmander done to make it hurt this much? “Calm down, Yu. C’mon, let me take care of that,” she said, quickly scooping up the Mudkip in her other hand and then attempting to pat off the dried-up blood that was now marring its face… and continuing to walk deeper into the mountainous region; because where the hell was that Larvitar she was looking for?
Post by Izumi Yamamura on Apr 10, 2014 7:29:34 GMT -5
As Izumi shuffled through the undergrowth (still being followed by the Ralts and the snickering Duskull from somewhere behind her) the walking Trainer then came upon something that was more than enough to make her pull her hair out of frustration—had she not been holding and nursing the very injured Mudkip, then she’d have literally tossed a rock in its direction—for there was a Druddigon, something that was now threatening to haunt her like a Cryogonal did a few times before. “Really? Really?” she said in a very pointed voice, her other fist balling and unclenching, before silently doing a quick bird-flip aimed at the sky again, before rolling her eyes. “Nope. Sorry, not you,” she said, using her free hand in order to dig through a certain pocket… and then came out with a Repel spray.
“See you again… or not…” she hissed, quickly activating the can of Repel spray, and watching as the white cloud obscured their field of vision—would the bad luck finally end? Would the world stop trolling her? And most of all, would the Larvitar she was looking up and down for…finally make its grand, belated appearance? You really are giving me hell, you know… she thought, rolling her eyes as she waited for the white smoke to clear, and holding her breath…
Post by Izumi Yamamura on Apr 10, 2014 8:19:57 GMT -5
Just as the mist from the Repel spray cleared—the ‘grand prize’ was waiting for her—and apparently, it was chewing on a rock. Why is it eating a rock…? She thought, and right at that moment, she heard a very loud screech from the heavens—and saw that there was a shadowy figure headed towards her; and then landed and gave a very loud squawk, and then she chuckled. “Yes, Sora, I know. There it is,” she said with this grin on her face, reaching out to pet the Valiant ‘mon on its head and then giving it a beak rub—before turning the attention to the Larvitar that was still gnawing on the rock it was working on. This thing is eating the rock? But isn’t that dangerous…? She thought to herself—before it locked on with her gaze, and then let out an almighty roar, and then the ground underneath her began to tremble. “Ah shit, are you serious?!” she shouted, watching as Sora momentarily took off in terror—only to reveal that the Ralts had seemingly Teleported astride it; and now the Duskull had finally made its presence known, and was leering in the Ralts’ direction.
Feisty enough for me, very dangerous and threatening… perfect for you! She thought, looking at Yuya in her hands—the bleeding had stopped now, somewhat, but still, the way that the Larvitar had unleashed the Earthquake attack was very…demonstrative of its power. “Kip, midkip, KIP!” she heard him cry out; squirming out of her hands and then leaping to the ground. Even if there was a streak of dried, matted blood on its face, it wanted to fight—and another one of her PokeBalls started wiggling, before finally revealing its occupant in a flash of red light—Draken, her Gible; who was well-rested and now itching for a fight! Is it just me or are these two destined to work together? She thought, sizing up the battlefield—Sora was now carrying the Ralts that had come along for the ride, the Duskull was watching… what was she waiting for?
“Right,” she said, facing the two ‘mons, and then giving them this look. “Tell your master that I claim this battle for the ages, and he’ll get his Larvitar, be it hell, high water, the end of the world, or a certain red-head rising from the dead!” she declared, before turning her attention to the Larvitar, which was now lumbering down from the rock in order to face the two challengers that were warily eyeing it. I think I have my second Double Battle team in the works… she thought, sizing up the Mudkip and the Gible now. She was about to issue another attack when the ground rumbled again—why was the Larvitar firing off an Earthquake so early in the game?! “Hell, you have got to be kidding me… Draken, get ready with a Dragon Claw and Slash combination attack! Move around only when it’s safe, because Earthquake is so going to hurt! Yuya, you be careful out there. Provide covering fire for Draken with your Water Gun attack, keep up the torrential outpouring as much as you can—and evade if necessary!”
“Kip!”
“Gible!”
She heard the two ‘mons roar their approval—and then the ball began to roll. First the Gible moved in close, but not close enough to provke the Larvitar—and then vanished—which made the Larvitar look around in confusion. It then let out an almighty Screech attack that grated both ‘mon’s ears; and she knew that she had to end this battle real quick, because Screech lowered their Defense—and Earthquake was one of the more powerful Physical-type attacks—when a sudden blast of water caught the Larvitar off-guard; Yuya’s distraction tactics was working! “Evade if necessary, Yu! Don’t want to endanger youself any more than you already are!” she shouted over the din—and then, all hell completely broke loose when the Larvitar suddenly raised its pudgy hands up to the sky as if calling for a miracle—and then the entire area was suddenly covered with swirling gritty, dusty sand!
Evidently the two ‘witnesses’ were enjoying the chaos that was unfurling—and that caused her Braviary to fly up a bit higher, just out of the area of the swirling grit and dust—while the Duskull stayed hovering at that height, intent on capturing everything. The Ralts let out a whine of disapproval; and with a sigh, the Braviary decided to fly around the arena, before coming to a stop—almost behind Izumi; which offered a perfect view of what was going on. Back on the battlefield—she realized that the arena had turned gritty—but was offering her Gible some sort of advantage—for it was proving slightly harder to hit! Hell yeah! Who knew that Draken’s ability would come in useful right about now? she thought with some glee; and then cupped her hands above her mouth and then continued issuing orders, “Yuya, hold your ground! Whatever you do, hold your ground and evade if needed; but keep firing off the Water Gun attack as much as you can!”
“KIIIP!” came the resulting cry—and then, the first slashing noise echoed throughout the area—for the Gible was using its enhanced evasion ability to blindside the Larvitar, which was now in the middle of using a Thrash attack , trying to hit the bothersome Mudkip which was still blasting water all over the area, trying to distract it from the Gibles’s stealthy actions. She heard the cracle of draconic energy hit something—and heard the Larvitar grunt in pain; before it quickly followed up with a Slash attack at close range—even if Izumi couldn’t see what the hell was going on, the Gible was managing perfectly fine. As much as it was itching to go underground, he didn’t understand why his mistress had yet to call out his favorite attack—because she knew what would happen if something was Digging, then an Earthquake would destroy it completely.
Ah whatever, let’s do this, she thought to herself before issuing the one command Draken was waiting for—“Draken! Be careful! Go do your Dig attack now and try to surprise it with your Dragon Claw when you resurface! Go!” she shouted over the roar of the sandstorm, and the Gible, now squirming with glee, quickly dug a hole and vanished—leaving the Mudkip topside. The Larvitar was still Thrashing around, trying to hit something—and it did manage to hit the Mudkip with a sideways attack, which caused said Mudkip to cry out in pain once again, and Izumi to scream. “Yuya!” she shouted, watching the little Mud Fish ‘mon fly towards her—the wound on its face had reopened, and was now bleeding hard again. To make matters worse, the sand was now gritting hard against the opening, and it was now causing the Mudkip discomfort. “Stand strong, Yuya! Stand strong! Hold out for me until Draken re-appears! Use your Tackle attack and follow it up with a point-blank Water Gun, it’s still thrashing around!” she shouted, and watched as the Mudkip nodded, before leaping back into the fray—even if it knew that it was going to hurt because of the grit swirling everywhere…
A few moments later, the Gible re-emerged from out of the ground and managed to deliver its Dig attack on the now-confused Larvitar, knocking it dizzy for a few moments; and then delivered a full-on frontal Dragon Claw attack right in its face, before rebounding off to one side as it saw the suicidal Mudkip charging forward with a Tackle attack—and it connected; but unfortunately it had caused the Larvitar to snap out of its tired, confused state. It quickly let the Water Gun attack fly at point-blank range—just as it had fired off another Earthquake attack, making the entire area shake and quake! The cry of the Mudkip was loud as it got tossed around—because its health was at near critical, but it refused to give up—and it stood its ground, even if its legs were already wobbling.
“Good show Yuya, keep it up! Water Gun, now! Keep firing!” she shouted once again, before following it up with, “Draken, Dig, and then Slash attack! Try to knock it within range of the Water Gun area, so that it’ll get soaked!” and then watched as the Gible sprang into action again, disappearing into the ground-but then another Earthquake attack shook the area; just as the Gible disappeared. Oh shit. She thought, suddenly fearful for the Gible who was now underground—probably it had suffered a point-blank attack as well due to the ground shifting and shaking—and the ground stopped shaking—but where was the Gible? The sandstorm was still raging; and the Mudkip was still firing off the distracting tactics that was known as the Water gun attack—when the Larvitar suddenly went flying right at the Mudkip, got caught in its direct attack—and then staggered; the Gible looked drained, but not defeated. “Draken! Hang on! You too, Yuya!” she shouted; and just as the Larvitar unleashed another Thrash attack, it happened. not just once, but twice. She then saw that the little Mud Fish, as well as the Land shark, were giving off some sort of energy—and the Larvitar was still going—when the flash of light got brighter—and at that point the Sandstorm stooped; but the lights show was picking up in intensity—did the two choose to evolve at the same time?!
“Yuya? Draken?” she called out, squinting into the lights show—and from somewhere above, Sora gave an excited squawk; and then it was all over—the light faded, revealing the Mudkip and Gible—but they had changed. Draken had gained some height, and now had some semblance of hands; while Yuya was now standing up on two feet; and looked even more ornery—yet he waved his appendages in approval. The scars from the Charmander attack were still on its face though, and she felt a huge sense of pride welling up within her—the two had evolved under very unusual circumstances! “Hell yeah!” she shouted, before pointing a finger at the Larvitar. “You, are coming with us. Draken, Yuya… let’s show what this little one what we’re made of.”
The two looked at each other, and nodded, before turning towards their mistress and nodding al the same—and then commenced with their attacks—“Go, Draken, do your thing! Yuya! Turn up the Water Gun power, and use your Bide while you’re at it!” she shouted, knowing that Draken best operated with minimal supervision—and watched as it Dug another hole and disappeared into the ground; before Yuya came up close and personal—and then delivered a frontal Water Gun attack; before throwing all its body weight forward and then smacking it with a Tackle attack. The Larvitar was still thrashing around—and a few moments later, the Gabite now emerged and then delivered its Dig attack with renewed vigor; and quickly followed it up with its Dragon Claw attack—she could tell because there was some sort of weird energy shimmering off its claws—and said Larvitar was now going down under a battery of slashing, and drenching, attacks.
The Marshstomp quickly held its ground as it took the Larvitar’s thrashing attack full-on; and Izumi needed not to mention it—and then watched as the power it had endured went back double in its face; followed up by a quick flurry of slashing attacks from the Gabite. Under the combined power of the two ‘mons, the Larvitar finally went down, and slumped over… and here she took her cue, quickly popping the Safari Ball to its full size and then letting it fly towards the prone form; watching as the Larvitar got swallowed up in a flash of red light… would it submit and come, or would it cause even more trouble?
