Not too long after her somewhat successful trip to the Safari Zone, Izumi was back again… and this time she was going to be hunting down the Amaura for real this time. Having just Sora as her “anchor” with the team that she was travelling with (for the moment) she then let herself be groped, and checked before finally gaining entry and access to the Safari Zone. She already knew where she wanted to go; and this time, she was more than prepared for the search. She then tugged at the scarf she’d wrapped around her neck, and then quickly sent out Sora, her Braviary, in another flash of red light. “Brav? Braviary?” she heard him squawk as he appeared, ruffling his feathers and stretching his wings.
“Okay, so last time we got sidetracked because of the Ditto. But this time it’s show time, we’re looking for that one, remember what I told you last time?” she trailed off, and then quickly explained what Amaura looked like. With a nod, she watched as the Valiant ‘mon took to the skies, to act as a scout from above. She then began the hike on ground, looking around and trying to make sure that she was not going to miss anything. Come on, come on, come on give me something good… she thought as she quickly made her way past the sparkling waters and headed towards the wintery area. She then began singing under her breath as she looked around for any sign of anything unusual…

Now that she was here on business, she knew that she was going to be in a bit of a pickle—but only because she was travelling with a different set of people. The only familiar one with her was Sora—but he was up in the sky, scouting far ahead for his mistress. That left her on the ground, wandering around and looking through whatever looked interesting that she could lay her eyes on: unusual rock outcroppings, puddles of water… and then she heard a faint rustling. Looking around intently, she quickly unballed the lone Electric-type she had on her at the moment: Tyrfin, her Eelektrik. She was secretly hoping to turn him into an Eelektross before long, but knew that there was a long stretch ahead of her. As she watched the Elefish ‘mon appear in a flash of red light; the rustling became louder…
It revealed something that had a shell and tentacles. For some reason, Izumi’s mind suddenly flashed back to something she’d read about certain ‘lore’ of another faraway region, and it caused her to snicker, if but momentarily. Her Eelektrik then looked at her doubtfully, as if it was worried about his mistress’ sanity levels. She then gave him a leer, before switching it to one that he was familiar with—and then opened with a series of commands. “Well, come on Tyr, let’s go. Use your Spark attack on it; and then counter with a Charge Beam, because I can tell that this one is trouble…” she said, stepping back and allowing him the space for battle.
At that same moment, the weird mollusk-looking ‘mon quickly started firing off a series of rocks aimed at the Eelektrik, which quickly charged up electricity around its body—the crackling noise was so loud she could hear it ringing in her ears—and then watched as the Elefish ‘mon charged forward and then slammed its body against the mollusk’s in an electrified tackle. At the same moment, the rocks that the mollusk was firing off sprayed wildly in all directions, and she continued to watch the Eelektrik perform as it skidded back and then began gathering as much energy as it could generate—before quickly releasing a beam of highly-charged electricity towards the intruder.
The mollusk retaliated with what looked like a Water Gun attack—it was a big mistake on the mollusk’s part in any case, as the moment the electric beam came in contact with the water, it became charged, and effectively zapped the mollusk; as the water it was firing was rebounded off by the force of the Charge Beam attack—and there was a smoking, stunned mollusk lying in their path a few seconds later. It then attempted to hide in its shell, but Izumi quickly followed it up with, “Tyr, fire off another Charge Beam, and let’s get out of here!” and she heard the corresponding cry from the Elefish ‘mon; and watched as another beam of electrified energy issued from its body; giving the mollusk another zap!
At the same time, she then hightailed it out of the scene; whistling for her Eelektrik to follow after her—which did so. This wasn’t the one they needed, as they were looking for something else altogether…

She hadn’t gotten too far when she heard something that was chanting in a monotone voice, and she was absolutely sure that either this was a very terrible case of déjà vu, or it was just really meaning to haunt the hell out of her. “Cryogonal, cryogonal, cryogonal…” she could hear from up ahead, and she wanted to stamp down on the ground out of frustration; was her luck really trolling with her this time around?! Without any further thought, she quickly unballed the second ‘mon that she was going to use for this trip to the Safari Zone. As the Spitfire ‘mon emerged out of the burst of red light, the snowflake-shaped ‘mon suddenly came levitating into view, and she then began her next set of orders. “Agni, use Sunny Day and follow it up with a Leer, then prepare for a Fire Blast attack! Now, Tyr, support from the rear with a Charge Beam attack! Let’s go do this!”
“Magmar!”
“Lektrik!”
The Spitfire ‘mon then opened the show with a sudden raising of its hands to the heavens, as if asking for a miracle to happen. At the same time, the sun shining down on the area suddenly got much hotter—not to mention much brighter. It the proceeded to give its ugliest glower at the Cryogonal, which was preparing to fire off an Ice Beam attack—and then suddenly from the rear, a beam of charged electric energy came whizzing from the Eelektrik that had decided to pour out all of its power into the attack; which was then suddenly followed by a very hot, large super-powerful expellation of flames from the Spitfire ‘mon; it had used its Fire Blast attack, which was now amplified by the additional effects of the Sunny Day support.
The Cryogonal had little chance to throw up a Haze status-changing attack; what with the two forces charging together; one Electric and one Fire—it didn’t know what had crashed into it due to the force of the crackling electricity; and as it was preparing to fire off the said Ice Beam attack in retaliation, the super-hot blast of fire suddenly came from out of nowhere, cutting off t6he initial blast of frozen energy coming from the Cryogonal. Needless to say, the Cryogonal was burned almost to a crisp; due to the powered-up vversion of Fire Blast that the Magmar had thrown in its direction.
“Peh, don’t chase me ever again, Cryogonal. Shoo,” she said, her arms crossed; as she whistled once more for the two ‘mons to follow her deeper into the area that she was hiking in. two down, and possibly three more to go. Come on… she thought, crossing her fingers in her pocket as the two ‘mons left behind a very well-done Cryogonal lying on the field, smoking and seemingly evaporating…

As the odd party trudged through the area, they could hear another sound of rustling coming from not too far off. She hadn’t heard Sora’s birdcalls in a while, meaning that the Valiant ‘mon wasn’t having too much luck either; and that was a bad thing. I’m already on the third, I think, I may be forced to play my hand and use a Repel if this gets ugly… she thought to herself, her mind wandering towards the stock of items that she carried with her. She always made it standard protocol to carry one Repel with her every time she went through the Safari Zone—and then the rustling sound became much louder, and three sets of eyes quickly went to the source—it was coming from somewhere in front of them.
The three waited with held breath… and revealed a Piplup; to which Izumi could only snort slightly—she already had Nixe, that proud creature; and here in front of her was Nixe’s original baby form. She was secretly proud that Nixe had finally grown up into a majestic and proud Empoleon; but honestly, why was there another one here? Eh, whatever. She thought to herself once more, whistling at Agni and Tyrfin to stop moving. “Don’t harm the little one. She’s not what we’re here for. Let’s go. Don’t engage in battle unless necessary,” she added as a warning—because the Eelektrik looked ready to jump on the little Penguin without warning. “Tyr, back down. Back down. Let’s go,” she addressed in a firm tone; skirting around the playful penguin, and disappearing further into the area.
The two ‘mons had no other choice but to follow their mistress’ orders; even if they wanted to scuffle with the little Penguin that they’d encountered. Would she finally get the ‘mon that she was looking for…?

It was as if the world was scheming against her—but at that moment, up in the skies far above the Safari Zone, the Braviary that belonged to Izumi saw something on the ground that made it screech out of surprise; it was exactly the ‘mon that his mistress was looking for. He quickly turned tail and reversed his flight pattern, using the air currents to hurtle down the air through the snow; crying out much like an eagle should; and back down on the ground; three heads looked up and saw a shadow fly overhead, circling once before it landed in front of the odd party that was assembled there. Izumi then looked at Sora expectantly, and then heard it cry out; flapping its wings and pointing towards a specific direction—and then the brush started to shake, and quiver; Izumi then pulled herself forward to the party and then addressed the three ‘mons there; “Stay there, don’t move unless I tell you to,” and then waited with bated breath.
As the shaking of the brush grew louder, her other hand was already in her pocket, waiting to just flip the top of the Repel spray when it revealed itself at last—one of the rumored “new breeds”; and quite shockingly it was… Hell YES! She shouted in her mind, resisting the urge to jump up and down and hug the three ‘mons that were with her—two of them could either zap or burn her, and the third one had an issue about being suddenly touched. As the cute little blue-colored dinosaur looked at the party assembled in front of its field of vision; it was still debating on whether or not to attack or just go willingly with them. at that exact moment though, Tyrfin quickly made a move across the field and was preparing to charge up its electricity when Izumi saw what it was doing—“Tyrfin, what the hell are you…” she began, before it quickly released a few zaps of electricity!
“Tyr! Stop that right now!” she shouted, waving her hands at the Eelektrik. The Amaura till regarded them with some confusion; but decided to approach them slowly—and was heading more in Izumi’s direction than anything else. “Yes?” she began, crouching down so that she was level with the Amaura’s face—she had no idea if this was a female or male; regardless it was still very cute. “Sorry about my Eelektrik over there. He’s just way too eager for a fight. Don’t worry about it, okay? I’ll take care of you as much as they have grown under my care. So… would you like to come with me?” she asked a few moments, regarding it with an appeasing look on her face.
At first, the Amaura was still staring at the human that had talked to it; but then suddenly started nipping at her scarf; therefore tugging it along whatever way—was it trying to be playful? The other ‘mons assembled in the background could only stare at it in confusion—before Sora approached it as well, and then lowered its head as if bowing to the Amaura; at least one of the three ‘mons had agreed to the proposition that Izumi had given. At the same time, the Magmar then trodded closer; but stopped right before approaching it—and the Amaura seemed to shrink away; because the fire was getting too close to its body. Izumi then looked at the Eelektrik that still looked aggressive with a raised eyebrow; and then watched it approach as well; before giving it a light shock of electricity—more out of playfulness than anything else.
“Well that settles it. Coming?” she asked, holding out the Safari Ball towards the Amaura’s flailing head; and its snout hit the button of the bal, causing it to open and swallow up the Amaura in a burst of red light. It then began to wiggle and shake; were they going through the pleasantries or did they still have to fight?

This time, four sets of eyes were watching the Safari Ball with regard; hoping that they didn’t have to fight something so cute and cuddly. Thankfully, though, the Safari Ball stopped shaking; and they all watched as it disappeared, off to some other space wherever. Now that it was done, Izumi felt tired; not to mention drained; and she dug around for two of the three temporary “housing units” that her ‘mons resided in. She then recalled the Magmar and the Eelektrik in a flash of red light; and then dropped the two balls down her jacket pocket; therefore leaving her with Sora once again.
“Come on, let’s get out of here…” she said, waving her hand in his direction—and then the Braviary took the cue and shuffled around, before lowering himself so that she could get astride his back. In a few moments, the Valiant ‘mon was once again airborne, and was now headed out and away from the Safari Zone. She knew that she’d tapped out her visits; but would most certainly come back and resume her hunting once the month changed over… and now she focused her mind on the task at hand: to hun for some more ‘mons and hopefully shorten her ever-lengthening wishlist!
