Roughin' it Out [Catch - Complete!]

Izumi wondered if her luck would continue; as she had proceeded to the opposite end of the spectrum—she was now in Cerulean City, looking for something to add to her team. hoping that her luck was right on track, she then continued to look around the undergrowth and shrubbery, hoping that something worthwhile would run across her path—and her trip not wasted. She sighed; as she knew that it would be a while—and then decided to build up her entire army of Pokémon while she was at it. Wondering if she really did have enough on-hand, she then began pawing and prowling around the edges of the City of Water; hoping that her weird actions would not draw too much suspicion.

She then began walking ever-so-slowly around the city limits, keeping her eyes and ears peeled for whatever crazy disturbance would dare present itself in front of her. She knew that her trip to this area would be taking far too long if she dallied around some more; and she then dug her hand into her jacket pocket, ready to send out any Pokemon she needed if necessary. After some time, she then heard a shuffling, scraping noise—what was coming around the corner… and would it bite, or crow, or just plain run away at her presence? Tick tock, tick tock… she chimed in the back of her mind, bracing herself for whatever this was.

So apparently, the “gods of luck” were smiling down upon her—because as she rounded the next corner; she saw several fierce-looking canine Pokémon who were about to go out on a hunt. She hadn’t noticed that the surroundings were darkening—had she really taken so long to go through Saffron from Vermillion? She sighed; and knowing what needed to be done, quickly sent out Nixe, her Prinplup in order to get things done quickly. “Prin? Prinplup?” she heard her chirp, before looking at her—and then their attention was drawn to the strange howling sound coming from the pack! “Ah snap, looks like they’ve seen us… Bubblebeam the leader, now!” she said, giving out the first order, to which the Prinplup nodded and quickly fired out a condensed blast of bubbles in the form of a beam!

The Houndoom noticed the Trainer and its companion, and began issuing a series of orders; yipping and howling—before it got cut off with the torrent of water that had rocketed its way. “Go, Nixe! Bubblebeam the leader once more!” Izumi shouted, quicly sending out another Pokemon in order to assist—Momo, her Gardevoir. Even if she knew that Momo had a slight disadvantage, there was a particular reason she’d sent it out—to try something. “Okay, Momo, Calm Mind first, then drop a Thunderbolt right after Nixe shoots out another Bubblebeam torrent! Go!” she issued, watching as her Gardevoir centered its thoughts; before raising its arms toward the heavens. At the same time, Nixe shot out another forceful torrent of bubbles; and right at the moment the torrent of water hit the incoming pack of hounds, a bolt of electricity shot down from the skies, effectively zapping the drenched canines. The leader of the pack limped away, having been attacked one too many times—and then the remainder of the pack was thrown into chaos.

At that exact moment, she felt a vibration from her pocket—and then saw that someone had sent her a message, inquiring if there were any Houndours in sight. She then grinned and replied while watching the two ‘mons take out the pack of four; and then sent the message on its way; before issuing the next set of commands, “Since that was successful, let’s try that again! Nixe, use your Bubblebeam and separate two of the canines, and Momo drop a Thunderbolt on the other two—we’re going to be getting two, because someone is searching for this hound as well!”

“Priiin!”

“Voir.”

She watched as the penguin shot another beam of bubbles towards the two charging hounds; while the other two were hanging around in the back, too scared to do anything. Izumi didn’t want scaredy-cats for her team; and watched as Momo dropped another Thunderbolt in front of the two frightened ones; scaring them away—and leaving the two charging ones as they were drenched in another torrent of water. The first one then howled; and the other one rallied behind it, before charging towards the two other ‘mons in a point formation—and then she changed tactics.

“Nixe, one more time! Bubblebeam! Then Momo, drop a Thunderbolt on the two, quickly!” she said, getting two Pokeballs ready for the capture—they were scary but she was faster. Just as the next torrent of water shot towards the two, another bolt of electricity dropped down on the two—zapping them senseless. They both teetered for a few moments before flopping over, and then Izumi quickly tossed the two Pokeballs towards the fallen hounds; while Momo and Nixe remained on standby just in case they decided to break free…

She then watched and waited as the two Pokeballs that she had thrown began shaking vigorously; who knew that the two hounds that she had captured were that tenacious?! She sighed; and then told Nixe and Momo to "Stand down, wait for them to stop," before approaching them with caution. She was fully expecting the two hounds to break free; but mercifully they stayed inside their respective Pokeballs; and Izumi then let out a sigh of relief. She then pulled out her mobile phone and quickly texted the client who was interested in the Houndour; and informed them that they had captured one for them; all they needed to do now was to seal the deal with another Pokemon of his that she was rather interested in acquiring.

She then walked over and picked up the two Pokeballs; and watched as they slowly disappeared; she knew where they were eventually going to end up. Quickly digging around inside her jacket as well; she foud the two empty Pokeballs that were the residences of Momo and Nixe, and recalled the two companions; watching as they disappeared in a flash of red light and were sucked into their respective residences. She then grinned; before turning tail and getting out of the area--who knew if the bigger hound decided to return to avenge its fallen kin.
