This was now the third time he had met Izumi for the sale of a Pokemon. But this time, he decided not to do it in his office building. Instead, he made the decision to compound it with one of his days off, where he ate at the usual place in Nimbasa, one of the local restaurants. As usual, he got himself one of their sandwiches, along with a soda and fries.
He called Izumi to tell her to meet him in this location. Frankly, he felt like meeting her in the office would be boring, and that meeting her for lunch would be a nice chance of pace, and not to mention much less stuffy. And instead of his suit and tie, Thomas wore a pair of boots, blue jeans, a black t-shirt under his unzipped brown hoodie, with his olive trenchcoat sitting in the booth next to him, the seat across from him being reserved for Izumi.
Nearby, a Shinx was eating a dish of food set aside for her.

Having received word that Tom had caught another one of her “wish list” inhabitants—albeit for the Sinnoh area—she then rushed towards Nimbasa; having barely enough time to dress up in one of her more comfortable outfits. Since the road to Nimbasa from Castelia was battered by sand storms now, she made sure to bring along a pair of goggles, which she now had dropped over her eyes as she ran through the streets that wound around the area, barely missing bumping into several people. Once she’d gotten past the area where the sand storms were howling through, she pushed up the goggles and let them perch on her hair; before patting herself down as she made her way through this weird place that was known as “Join Avenue”—and there were weird shops of all kinds there.
After she’d gotten herself cleaned up (and looking infinitely more presentable) she then made her way over to the exit that opened out into Nimbasa City, and was amazed at the sights and sounds that were blaring all around her—she looked to her right and saw that there was an amusement park; and over to her left were buildings—with several ornate-looking train stations dotting the place. After digging out her phone and looking through the maps, she finally found the place where she was supposed to go; and quickened her step, cutting through crowds, going past clowns who were juggling random things (like Pokeballs, fruit and the like). She finally arrived at the café and saw that Thomas had taken one of the outer tables—and then her eyes traveled down and saw this most adorable-looking Shinx that was eating out of a plate, looking very pleased with itself.
Grinning, she then made her way over to where he was, and then said, “So I take you’ve succeeded, eh?” while sitting herself down on the opposite chair, and looking over the menu in front of her. “Oh don’t worry I’ll pay for what I’ll order,” she said from behind the menu, and then another waiter made his way over to their table, and she placed her own order—and handed the menu back to him after it was all said and done.
“So, what’s the story with our new friend over there?” she asked, inclining her head so that she was looking at an angle, watching as the Shinx was eating its way through the dish of food in front of it.

Thomas heard the door to the restaurant open, and saw his friend enter. The trainer grinned and put down his lunch, just so he could talk to her. He started to wipe his hands with a napkin as he waited for her to sit across from him. She assured him that she'd be paying for her own lunch today.
He let Izumi place her order before he would get down to business. But before he could start, she already noticed the Shinx still eating its bowl of Pokefood. She asked him about how he found her, an understandable question to Thomas, given the previous story of the Abra he found earlier.
"Thankfully, the Shinx wasn't in any trouble when I found her. She just happened to smell some of the food I was carrying, and we kind of became friends from there. I've been spending some time with her since we met, finding out what she likes, and that she is a big eater, and what her favorite foods are. If you'd like, I can give you the list.", he offered to her.

She then made herself comfortable, and then chuckled at the story of the little Shinx that was still eating from the plate at Tom’s feet. “Wait, so is this one just as much of a bottomless pit as Snorlaxes are known to be, or just really picky with certain kinds of food?” she began, resisting the urge to break out into a chuckle—and eventually laughing as she said it. “At least I won’t have any problems trying to feed the little one—I kind of pick up that she’s not a picky eater, just has a particularly healthy appetite,” she said with a grin, looking over at where the little lightning-cat ‘mon was now powering through another section of the plate.
“If you have the list on hand, do tell me what it is,” she added a few moments later, quickly picking out her note pad and another chewed-on pen that she’d been biting in times of stress. “I’m going to need that information as I travel around… and so far my luck is still being a total piece of derp, I still haven’t found an Azurill, though my latest Safari Trip yielded a Shieldon… I may consider hanging on to that one, at least until someone who’s interested in a part-Steel type comes along and gets him from me… or I may end up lending him out to breed, because I read somewhere that its evolutionary line is a literal tank,” she added, flipping said note pad to a fresh page, her pen poised and ready to write.
“Let’s hear the list,” she added, nodding and waiting for him to enumerate the information she needed to know.

"She's no Snorlax, but she is a damn big eater. And while she's not too picky with what she eats, she does like some foods more than others. And it's usually the foods she truly enjoys that get her going. Thankfully, they aren't too difficult to find, and they are easily accessible.", he told Izumi.
As he finished up, the waiter gave Thomas a refill on his drink. "Thank you...", Thomas told the man with a smile as he switched the draw into his new cup, the man taking the old, empty one away.
"If you're cool with it, I have the list on paper. Though if you really want me to read it off, I can do that instead.", he told Izumi, pulling the piece of paper out of his coat pocket next to him.
The Shinx finished with her dish of food, and let out a belch before mewing affectionately to Thomas. Now was the chance for Izumi to get to know the creature.
(Basically the list consists of basic brands of cat-like Pokemon food, lenient towards fish Pokemon integrated/flavored. Though also listed are foods for any electric Pokemon in general, which is what the Shinx smelled.)

She chuckled, before commenting, “Well, giving me the list would also be a good plan—seeing as you may need to order these for me and send them out as delivery packages wherever I head out to… I don’t exactly have a permanent address in Unova at the moment, I’m just wandering around,” while copying it down. She didn’t recognize any of the listed food on it—did ‘mons really eat more than just Berries in the wild?—and saw that some of the listed food had “real Magikarp flavor” in it. “Eww,” she began with a grin, “Magikarp? They’re actually fed to other ‘mons? That’s weird,” while snorting to herself and writing down the rest of the list.
Around the time she was halfway done, her order arrived, and she could smell the aroma wafting from it. She then heard her stomach grumble, before looking up and seeing that the sandwich looked extremely tasty—yet there were puffs and tufts of steam rising from it, a sure sign that it was still very hot to the touch. She then continued to copy down the list, before suddenly remembering something—“Do you think these people would be able to supply food for a Zweilous? Because my Deino finally evolved… and he’s twice the trouble to deal with now as compared to before,” she ended with a sigh. Why didn’t the two heads ever get along? What the hell’s up with them?! She thought, reaching for the drink that came along with her order and taking a sip from it.
After a few moments of silence, she then added, “It’s hard having a two-headed Dragon on the team, simply because he tends to eat anything… and everything, might I add,” before giving a slight frown, and returning her attention to the list she was copying down for good measure. She then heard the cute thing mewl in Tom’s direction, and she decided to leave the list alone for a while, before finally easing herself out of the chair and then crouching down so that she was on an even level with the baby Shinx that had just finished eating the entire contents of the plate. “You weren’t kidding,” she said from her current position, “she’s a very voracious eater. Plate’s literally spotless,” she added, grinning and then reaching out her other hand (the one without the pen in it) towards the baby Shinx. How would it take to her?

Thomas listened to her comment about having to order some of the food, and having it delivered to her. Immediately, the trainer brought out a notepad he had, the same one he tore the list from. He started to write down a phone number for Izumi to use. However, he was interrupted by her comment about the Magikarp-flavored food. "Yeah, such food is usually consumed by Pokemon like Pidgeot, but this Shinx does enjoy the taste.", he told Izumi.
Once her food came out, she continued copying the list, until the Shinx's cries interrupted her. While she reached down to greet the electric kitten, Thomas was finishing up with the note he was going to let Izumi keep.
The Shinx sniffed Izumi's hand, before gently licking it, then mewing affectionately. She got closer to Izumi.
By the time Thomas finished, he noticed, and smiled. "Well, she seems to like you...", he noted aloud. "Keep this next letter: it's contact information for a supplier. I get it in bulk because I run a business involving taking care of Pokemon, mostly through babysitting and training them, but also for taking care of them until my clients can pick them up. Just name a drop location, and they can deliver it there while you're traveling. Since you're running a business as well, as I've gathered, this should help you out.", he told Izumi.
Aside from the number, the letter also had the instructions Izumi would need in order to register herself for bulk deliveries.

“She’s such a sweetie,” she began, hearing the little one’s affectionate mewing—and then she felt it lick her fingers, making her chuckle! “Hey, that tickles,” she said, before inching closer and finally petting the cute little thing atop its head, which made it mewl out even more in delight at the feeling of physical contact. “Heh, at least I didn’t get zapped,” she said with a grin, more to herself than to either the Shinx or Tom, because she remembered an incident where someone who’d dropped by the café had shown off his Pikachu…and when he touched the red spots on its cheeks, well, there was a bad hair day that followed not too long after.
She then heard him talk about the rest of the food suppliers’, and she was secretly thankful that she could get it delivered to any location she happened to drop by. “I hope that also covers travels between the different regions, but since I’ll be around Unova for some time, this won’t be too much of a problem. I’m doing the Gym Challenge in this area first. I’m going to save Hoenn for the very last… because it’s always good to get home after a very long journey,” she said, before tickling the Shinx’s chin, which it really seemed to enjoy, purring in pleasure as she scratched its underside affectionately. “I’ll take her with me… she’ll be a fine addition to the team. They’ve been looking for someone to compete with in their speed-eating competitions…” she trailed off with a chuckle, when she suddenly felt her hair stand up on end—had this little one just shocked her?
“What the… hey! What did you do?” she asked the little Shinx, who seemed to chuckle while batting her hand playfully. “You know my hair takes forever to fix and… ahhh screw it I’ll forgive you, just this once,” she said with another grin on her face.

Thomas couldn't help but smile at the display in front of him. Frankly, the trainer found it cute that the Shinx was so friendly in general. But then, it was a good thing that she was a friendly Pokemon in general, otherwise he'd be selling Izumi a troublesome Shinx. Or even worse, the Shinx would've disliked her, but liked Thomas, which would involve separating her from the person she liked, only to dump her on someone she didn't like.
"Yeah, these companies operate in multiple regions. It really comes in handy for clients outside of the Unova Region.", he told Izumi with a grin.
Thomas couldn't help but laugh at the display from the Shinx. "Well, since she seems to like you so much, and since you've been a consistent customer, I think I'll sell this Shinx to you for only ten dots. I'll even drop some food in a location of your choosing.", he offered Izumi.

She then groaned as she attempted to flatten her hair—to no success. Whatever the little Shinx had done, it had done it so good, and her hair was now refusing to listen to her commands of flopping down and staying flat. “Oh come on,” she began, trying to flatten it—yet it was still crackling with static electricity as the little Shinx continued to mewl in her direction. She then sighed in relief as Tom told her that the companies that he’d referred to her covered not just the Unova area; but it covered several other regions as well—a good sign of a good business if any.
Her ears perked up at the mention of a much lower price, and she didn’t think twice as she rummaged through her pocket with her free hand and then presented it to Thomas a few moments later, her other hand was still busy petting she Shinx—which was now nuzzling into her and getting used to having her around. “Thanks for the additional mile,” she added, meaning the fact that he’d send some food for her, wherever location she would be. “I’ll let you know once I need that shipment… for now, welcome to the family, Raimei,” she said, finally having decided on the nickname that little Shinx here would possess.
