Izumi had gotten word once more from Thomas that he’d captured an Abra; and he was going to give it to her. She had no luck with the annoying little teleporter so far; since it always had the tendency to warp away at even the slightest sound of approach—were they that sensitive to human presence? She sighed as she picked out her best-looking clothes—because why did he have such a spiffy-looking office in Castelia—and then made her way back to the place that housed his office. After arriving in the building (and riding the elevator up) she then found herself at the same place; only this time the aquarium had been set off, seemingly to one side.
She knew she’d gotten here a bit earlier; since the previous time they’d met, he was already at the desk, and she was the one who came in. apparently the reverse was now true in this case—she then sat herself down in the very same chair she’d occupied some time ago, and then waited for him to appear—and she began looking through her pockets for the exact amount that she needed in order to be able to finally acquire the deranged teleporter for her (at least it was deranged, in her opinion—she meant no harm at all). She then began whistling a tune, trying to fit it and modify it for her needs—as she was still training ‘on the road’ with Riku, and they had no time to actually train with a proper Dragon-type expert who could help them with ‘the ropes’.

Once again, Thomas had a meeting with Izumi. This time, instead of giving her a Feebas in a large fish tank, Thomas would instead be giving her an elusive Abra. The Abra in question was rescued from some asshole with a Gastly, one who ran with his tail between his legs when a Glameow attacked him. Needless to say, the lethargic Psychic-type was happier in Thomas' hands than he would've been in that trainer's hands. And he could only hope the trainer's judgment was good on the matter.
Thomas, having been getting some things prepared in the backroom, was the one to arrive to the desk later than the other person. Thomas walked in, garbed in his suit and tie as usual, and sat down in his chair, nodding to Izumi with a smile to greet her. And the Abra teleported onto the desk, seemingly asleep.
"Here he is, Izumi.", he told his childhood friend as the Abra settled in.

She was whistling something when she saw an outline seemingly appear from out of nowhere—and saw that Thomas had emerged from something that looked like a back area seemingly hidden within the small office area. Just how did that door blend into the wall? She thought as he emerged, all dressed up in his “formal attire”—she had to suppress a chuckle as he sat himself down on the chair opposite hers, and watched a sleeping figure seemingly teleported itself to the desk’s top—yet it was asleep; although she could sense that something was wrong…or was it just her imagination? She then cleared her throat and then asked, “Is he really asleep all the time?”
Now, one had to understand that Izumi hadn’t gotten around to learning all the habits of all the ‘mons she had encountered on her journey so far; it was just that with all the ‘mons she’d seen (and some of them ended up in her possession) she felt…inadequate. After a few moments of silence, she continued, “You know, wearing formal suits all the time would end up making you stiff as well,” she said with a chuckle rolling around the edge of her voice. She then continued to watch as the Abra was levitating in front of them; sleeping without a care in the world…and wished that she could just sleep for a long time and wake up feeling refreshed!

Thomas heard as Izumi asked him if Abra slept all of the time. He didn't laugh at her, as it was a good question to ask, and it related to caring for him. "Abra's sleep sixteen hours a day. And yeah, this one is currently enjoying what rest he's getting here, after what he went through in Fuego Ironworks.", he told his friend politely.
There were a tense few moments of awkward silence between the two. Finally, Izumi broke the silence between them by remarking on his choice in attire. Thomas couldn't help but laugh with the fellow Hoenn native. "Thankfully, I only wear these outfits while I'm on business, I guess that's my secret...", remarked Thomas, still wiping the tears of laughter away.
Once he had settled down, the Abra still sleeping peacefully, he turned back to Izumi. "In order to get him to be able to fight, you'll either need to evolve him soon, or use TMs on him. Will that be fine?", he explained to her, concluding with the question.

Sixteen hours a day… so this is going to be tough, finding the times when he’s awake, she began, contemplating the plans that he had. She knew that Abras were very good at attacks that didn’t involve actual physical contact—and this little one would be a good second to lean on if in case Momo wasn’t able to take enough damage—she knew that even if Abra was powerful, it was also frail; but it had the Speed to actually make up for that. “What exactly happened?” she asked him, wondering what had transpired in the events leading up to his subsequent capture. She also grinned at his choice of clothing; because who knew that there was still some form of decorum being followed, at least in Unova?
After hearing the stipulations, she nodded; before saying her piece, “I’ve been saving up a lot of my cash for raising the…army,” she began, referring to her growing collection of ‘mons in an off-hand manner, “and once I get enough to do so, then I’ll start diving into training each and every one of them to be at their best level,” she added, before reaching into her jacket’s inner pocket and fishing out some coins. “It’s 20 for this guy, right? Same price as the Feebas?” she said, double-checking to make sure that she had the correct amount with her; otherwise she’d have visited him and had fallen somewhat short of money needed in order to complete the transaction!

Thomas listened as she mulled over the sleeping schedule. Thankfully, evolving or just playing around it would make it less of a problem to use. He then heard her ask what happened to the Abra, something he was willing to answer.
"Basically, the Abra was being hunted down in the Fuego Ironworks by some shithead trainer. He happened to teleport near my location as sleep deprivation started to set in, no longer being able to teleport away. I offered to save him from this trainer, something he readily accepted. But by the time he was contained, the trainer, armed with a Gastly, started yelling at me about the Abra, after I tried to lie to him about not seeing it. A Glameow took out his Gastly, then sent the fucker packing. Needless to say, I befriended her, and she went to someone else I know, someone from Unova actually....", Thomas explained to her.
"Twenty dots sounds like a fine price to me, Izumi...", he told his friend as he got out the Pokeball which Abra would go into. He gently tapped the Abra with it, who went into the Pokeball, which landed onto the desk with a gentle thud. Once it was paid for, Izumi was free to have him.

She nodded while listening to his explanation—and then suddenly understood what it meant; since Momo relied more on emotions to convey her true feelings, she then realized that when Thomas had mentioned what had transpired that led up to the Abra’s capture, she realized one thing—had it spoken to him? That was one of the mysteries that she would have to eventually figure out once she’d gotten around to training and raising him. “That’s one desperate guy…” she managed to trail off into the silence to follow; before breaking out into immoderate chuckling at that point. “Who knew that Abra were in such high demand… it has to be because of Alakazam, right?” she confirmed in an off-hand manner, before sliding the money across the table.
Once she’d watched the Abra disappear into the Pokeball, she then gently picked it up, being very careful as to not disturb its sleep—and then grinned. “It’s always a pleasure doing business with you…let me tell you something quite ironic: while I was hunting for your Azurill—I encountered a Feebas. Since you already got me one, I decided to pass the one I encountered to someone else—who knew they were in such high demand as well…” she said, slightly shaking her head at the ample amount of irony that was dealt to her. “I haven’t had the luck yet on finding an Azurill, but once I see one I’ll let you know right away,” she continued, pressing the button in the center of the ball in order to shrink it down and then stood up once again from the chair.
Giving him a deep bow, she then turned heel, before leaving the office—and then waving a hand in his direction, saying, “Stay out of trouble, alright?” as she opened the door and slipped out of the room.
