Etta has that curious look on her face, that one look that screams that she will get to the bottom of this mystery no matter what. Truth to be told, there is one small voice at the corner of Stellar's mind that tells her that perhaps, just perhaps, Etta is right and she's being way too lax about this, something that she shouldn't be. The woman quashed that notion down, not wanting her usual cautiousness to ruin their sleepover, even if that is her usual lifesaver.
Just one night. Could Arceus grant her that much?
Stellar stopped her search for the room's phone, instead, choosing to wait, as Etta asked of her. It didn't take long, really.
('I think some little pest might have snuck into the cart.')
"A pest?"
Her Ninetales beside her perked, ears up. Her nine tails swished about in a smooth manner, sweeping the carpet with a whoosh. Interestingly, it was that very moment the little beach ball crawled, having returned to consciousness and trying to get rid of the dizzy that had settled. It chose to move forward, wanting to call out for Etta's help, only to get one of Saedea's fluffy tails to knocked it rolling to another room.
More precisely, the Pokemon room.
The roll left the little green ball breathless, rolling and rolling and rolling and -
In that same moment, Stellar chose to open her mouth and said, "Maybe it's just a mistake on their part?"
SMASH!
"Maybe not."
The green beach ball have smashed directly into Eclair, knocking the dark type straight to the tv screen.
Spring jumped probably a foot up into the air, tackling Cleave and hugging him for her dear life.
Raven had been wanting to sit next to Eclair, only to jump backwards and bristle.

OOC :: I have an idea. Stellar could pick up a DVD that she remembers from her childhood, something that she shared with Rikkan at one point. There's no harm in talking about life before war after all. She's trying to force herself to return Etta's trust after all. And poor Eclair LOL.

Etta whipped around at the sound of the crash, before using the couch as a launching pad and leaping over it in the direction of the Pokemon room. She wasn't worried, or scared - just excited now, because she highly doubted anything serious was happening, but whatever it was, was going to be interesting.
"Ca-ca-ca-ca-NEEEEAAAAAA!"
And at that she hopped to a stop, coming just short of the door and peering inside.
Eclair was pushing herself up from off the TV, fire in her eyes as she turned around, claws bared in a gesture that was more over-dramatic and comical than frightening. Raven was planted nearby, fur standing up on end. Spring was is Cleave's arms, the male Pokemon reeling a bit put keeping them both from toppling over.
And in the center of it all, was the Beach Ball, flailing its little stubby arms as Eclair trudged toward it.
Etta put her hands on her hips. "And just what are you doing here?" She turned to Stell. "Come take a look at our guest. I think you might recognize him."
The Beach Ball perked up at the sound of her voice, forgetting Eclair completely, eyes lighting up. Almost whacking the Sneasel in the face, he turned and hopped-skipped over to stand at Etta's feet, staring up at her joyfully.
"Cacnea cacnea nea? Nea?"
Etta quirked an eyebrow at him. Had he followed her all the way from Fallarbor? Must have. Boy, was he dedicated - but had hitchhiking on their room service really been necessary.
"I don't know what you want, little guy, but you get points for determination."
Eclair steamed in the background for another moment before grudgingly sitting down next to Raven and turning back to the TV.
On seeing Stell, the Beach Ball waved with both hands, seemingly delighted by the reunion. He danced around Etta's feet.
"What do you think?" Etta asked Stell. "Order another pizza and let the little guy hang around for the night?"
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
Stellar will admit; Etta has excellent jumping and reaction skills. In a war that is important, and probably useful too. Now, though, it's just pretty much amusing, and Stellar followed the other woman to the Pokemon room, Saedea staying close by her side.
Oh.
Oh, hello little Cacnea.
Stellar's eyes took a twinkle in it, and a grin pulled at the corner of her lips. The situation have turned from amusing to extremely amusing.
"Well, it's very determined." That was one thing they could agree on. And it also seems to like them very much. Seeing the beach ball waving at her joyfully, Stellar waved back, but considering it stays so close to Etta, Stellar has that slightest bit of suspicion that it like Etta more than herself.
Behind the Cacnea, Stellar noted that Raven sat down beside Eclair with an annoyed look on her face. The Sneasel and the Umbreon look so similar that it's pretty hilarious in some ways. On the other side, Spring jump off Cleave, apologizing profusely for jumping on him.
"I don't mind ordering another pizza," Stellar tilted her head to look at the happy Cacnea, "And the little one looks like it really likes you." As if to prove her point, the Cacnea attempted to hug Etta's feet, which is pretty comical.
This whole situation is working better as a relaxation thing than ever.
Saedea trotted forward, looking at the Cacnea closer and taking a sniff. Playfully, the Ninetales tried to bat the small Pokemon, electing a loud 'NEA!' from the beach ball.

Etta chuckled a bit at the Beach Ball attempting to hug her ankles - thankfully its thorns were so stubby that there was nothing more than a mild prickly sensation, like a hairbrush rubbing against her skin. When Saedae trotted over and began batting at it, it squealed and shuffled over to hide behind Etta's ankles, eyeing the Ninetales with curiosity.
"OK, hear that, little guy? You get to stay the night. But no more funny business."
The Beach Ball's eyes shone. "Cac cac nea nee!"
Without further invitation, it hopped-hopped-hopped over to the couch Stell had been sitting on, arms waving in the air, and plopped down right in in the middle of it. It rocked back and forth, chattering happily and looking around at the splendor of its surrounding, and all the food and bobbles on the table.
Etta smiled. She still didn't plan on catching the little cactus creature, but having it around was beginning to grow on her.
"It took a bite out of the pepperoni, right?" Etta asked Stell, moving toward the hotel phone. "I'll order another one. Why don't you pick out a movie or something?"
Meanwhile, Eclair was still drilling through TV channels, still in a bit of a huff after being knocked over. "Sel snea?" she said to Raven, asking the other dark type what it wanted to watch.
Cleave shook his head, smiling softly at Spring as she continued her profuse apologies. It was no trouble at all, and he was sorry she had been frightened. Would she like to sit and have something to eat now?
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
Stellar giggled slightly and reached out to tangle her hand in Sae's fur, pulling the Ninetales back. The shiny Pokemon let out a small whine, having wanted to play, but she slid down and sat on Stellar's feet instead. It's a fluffy sensation.
It was interesting, watching the beach ball hop all the way up and up to the couch, settling easily to the couch. Stellar followed the Cacnea after shoving Saedea off slightly so she could start walking, and the Ninetales padded by her side, setting her head on the couch and staring at the Cacnea.
"It was probably hungry," Stellar chuckled lightly, turning her attention to the DVD box. Her hand began shifting though some, choosing them roughly on what seems interesting, what seems like something Etta would like, and what seems she deems likable enough.
Her eye caught something, and she gingerly took it out, memories surfacing at the cover of the DVD. On the thin box, the words 'The tales of Persian and Pikachu' was printed on, and the picture of a Persian on two legs, chasing the a grinning Pikcahu in a comical way.
Stellar stared.
And stared.
She continued staring, oblivious to her surroundings. The stories inside this DVD...it felt like a whole lifetime ago. Perhaps it is, perhaps she have lived through two different kind of lives and trying to settle to a third one. Everything must come back to it's roots, however.
Her touch was soft, and she leaned backward, still holding the box. --
In the Pokemon Room, Spring turned bright red, head still down. How could she have tackled him so hard like that! Her ears down and tail flopped, the Leafeon looked up with wide eyes as Cleave offered her food. Tears welled up at the corners. He's so nice!
She reached out and took one, eating it gratefully and her torrent of apology turned to a torrent of gratefulness instead.
Her sister, who had been tilting her head to check on the little sis, shrugged when everything seems find and Cleave would treat the little baby well. The Umbreon replied back to Eclair with an easy ,"Umbreee, bre bre breon." Anything is fine. It's not like she watch a lot of TV anyway, so everything would be interesting.

"Uh, yes, one of my Pokemon got into the box. I'm happy to pay for the replacement . . . Really? Well, thanks then. Yes. Same kind . . . No rush, we're picking out a movie to watch . . . Yes, alright. Thank you."
Etta hung up the phone, pleasantly surprised to hear that the hotel would replace the pizza free of charge. At least she knew for sure now that they really prided themselves on customer service - wouldn't want any review less than sparkling in quality to get out, she guessed.
She wandered back over to the living area, where Stell had started going through the DVDs. Etta walked over and leaned against the back of the armchair again, and found that the other woman was already holding one case. Stell stared down at her, her touch ginger, her expression far away. There were memories, in her eyes.
Etta craned her neck to look at the DVD cover.
"Persian and Pikachu, right? I haven't seen that in a long time . . . Do you want to watch it?" Etta asked, moving around to sit on the arm of the sofa.
She remembered that it was a very funny, sweet family movie. That kind of thing was probably the best bet for a lighthearted sleepover. Maybe she and Stell would be able to do some bonding over it?
The Beach Ball continued to rock back and forth, looking between the two women questioningly. It had grabbed another slice from the pizza he had bitten into, and was nibbling on it absently.
--
Eclair, apparently exasperated with the choice of programming, dropped the remote and gave and exaggerated sigh. The TV was stopped on a slice-of-life cartoon focused on the lives of the villagers in a Pokemon woodland community. A very sweet, mellow show.
Cleave offered Spring a seat in front of the TV, happy that Eclair had happened to leave it on a show that Spring would probably enjoy. Usually, Eclair opted for horror films or dark dramas.
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
("Persian and Pikachu, right? I haven't seen that in a long time . . . Do you want to watch it?")
Stellar nearly jumped at the sudden addition of voice. Maybe the pizza thing when smoother than she expected, or maybe she's just too lost in thought. "Y-yeah," she stuttered, before pulling herself together, and smiled, "If you don't mind."
She waited for the affirmation, and when she got it, she stood up and inserted the disk. It didn't take long before the DVD menu popped up, and with some quick presses of the remote buttons, the movie was on.
The movie immediately starts off with a woman yelling at the Pikachu in a comedic way, and the Pikachu's cheeky grin was barely seen through the cake drawn inside its mouth. The Persian went abut to start catching him, and all the antics and tricks started.
And Stellar was hooked.
It might have been a kid's show, but that's the point. This happened when she was a kid. She can barely remember it anymore, memories of soft hugs and loving family that she could barely pull up. She has more memories of Aria hugging and protecting her to sleep, more memories of cuddling with Saedea, Spring and Raven back when they are all un-evolved. More of her Pokemon.
Less of her human family.
"...I used to watch this with my family."
It came out.
She doesn't know why, but it just...did.
Maybe it's because it had been a long time since she could share her history without getting attacked, or maybe she's feeling guilty for getting Etta involved with her, even if it was temporary...hopefully. Maybe she's finally with the company of a safe human, and Pokemon is different, after all.
Stellar leaned downwards, cheek on her knee. Her eyes has an odd gleam in it.
"...Back when we were kids..." Stellar looked at Etta, and there was unshed tears lurking in the depths, crying for a past ripped too early, "Do you have any siblings, Etta? Family?"
It really just gushes out, and Saedea let out a soft whine, opting to stand up and leave, leaving the two women alone. On the way, she used her tail to flick at the Beach Ball for a moment, then nipping the pizza and hoping over to the Pokemon room.
And in the Pokemon room, Raven stared at the channel Eclair finally settled on. The Umbreon looked over when Spring join her to watch the TV, the Leafeon thanking Cleave and asking him to join her because he definitely must, she insists.
And behind them, the Ninetales join the group, mouth still chomping on a bite of the pizza she took.

The movie started. Etta slid down off the sofa arm and curled her legs up under her, gently putting her hand on top of the Beach Ball to stop his constant rocking back and forth. The contact seemed to make him happy, and he sat still, continue to nibble the pizza.
She couldn't remember the last time she had seen this movie. Probably back before the first time she became a trainer, before all her friends started going on journeys. Back then they would all crowd in her living room, sprawled across the floors and couches, and eat popcorn and pizza and candy late into the night. And then, after they were supposed to have gone to bed, she and Emile would sneak back down and watch the action movies they marathoned on the movie channels.
She was happy to find that the movie had held onto most of its charm. The gags were still funny, the Pokemon still pretty darn cute . . . And glancing over, she could see that Stell was completely engrossed with it. The look of wonder on her face was almost childlike. She barely noticed when the pizza arrived and Etta went to collect it. She settled back into her seat, glad that the evening now seemed to be going rather well.
". . . I used to watch this with my family," Stell said, suddenly. Etta placed her slice of pizza down on its paper plate, turning to look at her. ". . . Back when we were kids . . ." The woman's eyes seemed to gleam a bit, though no tears were apparent. ". . . Do you have any siblings, Etta? Family?"
Etta smiled softly. "Yeah. I have a twin brother, actually - Emile. And our parents work for a regional news station in Johto. We used to a;; watch this together, too."
Saedae stood then, moving the leave, but not before stealing a bite of the Beach Ball's pizza. The little green one hopped up on it's feet, the pizza hanging from his mouth as he waved his little arms in indignation. It ranted after the Ninetales as she walked away, but the pizza in its mouth just made it sound like one, long, garbled sound.
Etta bopped the top of his head playfully, and with total obedience the Beach Ball rolled over on its side and continued nibbling, slowly beginning to roll toward Stell.
"What is your family like?" Etta asked softly.
Over in the Pokemon room, Cleave happily sat down next to Spring, and nodding in greeting at Saedae when she arrived. After they had watched the show for a bit, Cleave asked Spring if she thought it was alright.
Eclair glanced over at Raven at she looked at Spring, and asked nonchalantly if they were sisters.
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
She barely heard the Beach Ball's indignant rant, though if she had, Stellar would have found it amusing.
Instead, Etta's own story seems to be more interesting this time, and she listen to it with a kind of wonder. Etta got the chance to grow up with a twin brother. That's so awesome. It sort of made her wonder; would she have been like Etta if she had grown up all the way to adulthood with her siblings?
Her hand patted the Beach Ball as he rolled near her, garbling some sound that is completely muffled with the pizza. It stared up at her for a bit, before deciding that, wow, rolling is kind of fun, and rolled to Etta, and rolled around a little, miraculously munching the pizza in his rolling frenzy.
("What is your family like?")
Etta deserves to know. The war is over anyway. There's no need to hide anymore, there's no need to lie so that her family is completely shrouded, completely safe from her own mistakes.
"...I have five siblings," her smile was weak, "..I don't remember the last two too much; I'm third in the family." Memories of being the middle child slowly surfaced, when she chased after her elder brother and sister and wants them to play with her. Her smile widened on her face. "My oldest brother, I remember him the most. He's quite adoring."
And she has the right, too , to remember him the most. He was the last of her family she saw, before she got completely cut off, totally alone.
"Was your brother like that too?"
And in the movie, the Persian caught the Pikachu, the Pikachu's cheeky grin proving that this is not the end.
--
Spring nodded energetically, liking the show. The TV in itself is quite a wonder, to be specially catered for Pokemon like that. She asked Cleave if this is normal, to have TV shows specially for Pokemon, cause it's hard to find this kind of stuff from the region they all came from.
On Eclair's side, Raven nodded to the question. She look at Cleave for a bit, before asking Eclair if Cleave is her best friend or something else.
Behind them, Sae greeted both back, settling downwards and grooming herself a bit. Her muzzle left some pizza marks on her silver fur, marks that she quickly licked off again.

The Beach Ball rolled back and forth between them now. Etta gave him a little nudge when he slowed down, and he continued happily in his rollings.
". . . I have five siblings . . . I don't remember the last two too much; I'm third in the family. My oldest brother, I remember him the most. He's quite adoring."
Stell's whole face lit up as soon as the conversation turned to her brother, and Etta grinned to, easily able to empathize with her. It had only been a couple of months since she had last seen Emile, but she missed him constantly, and just thinking about him always buoyed her mood.
She couldn't even begin to imagine being separated from him, as it sounded like Stell had been from her brother.
"Was your brother like that too?" Stell asked.
Emile? Adoring?
That was an understatement, if she had ever heard one.
Etta laughed, nodding and giving the Beach Ball another little push toward Stell. "Emile is . . . Emile is my best, best friend. We did literally everything together." She laughed again. "He's amazing. I think you'd really love him. He's so exuberant, and charming . . . and ridiculously tall. He got all our parent's height." She raised a hand up high above her head, to illustrate. "He just scoops me up and carries me places. I'd ride on his shoulders through town like he was a Rapidash, and . . ."
Etta pressed her cheek into her hand, trying to contain her enthusiasm. If there was anything she could go on forever about, it was Emile. She would have to call him soon and tell him about Stell - and Cleave needed to show off his evolution, too. She could hardly wait.
She looked back up at Stell, still smiling. "What's your brother's name? How much older is he?"
---
Cleave happily explained that so many Pokemon channels were hard to find in one place, except for in nicer establishments like this hotel. Usually there might just be a few hours set aside for Pokemon on a TV station that shows other programming, and one had to pay extra for Pokemon-only channels.
Eclair snorted - not so much a best friend as a silly twit she couldn't get rid of. Because he was OK, if you could manage to put up with someone like him.
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
As the rolling Beach Ball rolled back to her side, Stellar gave it her own nudge, pushing the rolling Pokemon back to Etta. Interestingly, it managed to give out a tiny giggle, making it more seem like a toy than a Pokemon.
Etta's face lit up as she talk about her own brother, and Stellar briefly wondered if her own face did that too, or was she so estranged from her family that talking about her brother doesn't share the same expression? The other woman has a glint in her eyes, a happy tune in her voice, talking about her twin brother as though as he's the best thing in the world.
Her enthusiasm washed over Stellar, and made her feel so warm. Deep down, there's a little sadness that she hadn't been able to give that much enthusiasm either, knowing honestly that she could and would give more enthusiasm to her Pokemon than her family.
This was how far she has fallen.
("What's your brother's name? How much older is he?")
Unbeknownst to Stellar, her own eyes lit up softly, like a hidden flame slowly being fueled.
"My brother...he's name is Rikkan. I used to call him just Rik," a soft hint of laughter is coming into her voice. "He's 8 years older. I do have another older sister." Stellar herself looked amused by this fact. "I used to be close to my siblings too, well, until...the war."
There. She said it. It's finally bared open, what really caused them to separate. By saying it Stellar felt as though as a burden was finally lifted, and with it, she's comfortable enough to go on. Comfortable enough with Etta to talk about some of the war, a huge chunk of her life.
==
Spring's eyes were sparkling, listening to Cleave. That sounds really great, she says, this is so cool. She giggles slightly, before looking back at the TV again. Is it boring to just continue watching TV? she wonders, because in their spare time, they do a lot of training, and hardly watches TV.
Raven purred in amusement. He looks like a perfect gentleman, or at least, by Spring enthusiastic description. Quietly, Raven asked if Cleave is actually bad or something, because the Umbreon doesn't want her sister to be hurt.
Behind them, Sae watched the exchanges in amusement.

The Beach Ball rolled back to Etta, only to stop suddenly upon realizing that it had just nibbled the last of its pizza. With a little grunt, and a bit of flailing, he managed to roll back onto his feet and begin toddling toward the table, hopping across the gap and going to survey the different kinds of pizza.
Etta was sure there was a wall coming down, now. She had never seen Stell quite like this - so casual, cheerful, and utterly unguarded. The love for her family showed clearly on her face, and as the movie played on in the background - the Pikachu was now hiding in a toy room, pretending to be one of the toys as the Persian poked around in confusion - it felt like a real sleepover. Just two friends getting to know each other better.
"My brother...he's name is Rikkan. I used to call him just Rik. He's 8 years older. I do have another older sister." She seemed to find this funny, for some reason, and Etta made a note to ask more about her later."I used to be close to my siblings too, well, until . . . the war."
Under different circumstances, that would have been Etta's cue to back off, change the subject, find something happier to discuss . . . but the change in Stell's demeanor remained. There were no shadows, this time, like there had been back in Fallarbor when the subject had been approached. It seemed like she was just . . . ready, now. Maybe there was enough trust between them.
"Your family was in the war?" she asked, leaning forward, her chin in her hand. "I can imagine what that must have been like . . . You were separated?"
---
Spotting the slight change in her expression and worrying that she was getting bored, Cleave asked if there was something else she might want to do - explore the rest of the room, maybe?
Bad? Eclair asked, and shook her head. No, 'course not. He's kind of what you'd call a gentleman, she explained, rolling her eyes again. Not that she found him all that impressing, but Spring was definitely in no danger from Cleave.
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
There's something that she couldn't quite place up in the air, something comfortable. Something that wasn't familiar now, but it felt nostalgic, as though as this is something she had been familiar with, this comfort, this trust.
From the corner of her eyes she spot her two Archeops opening the door to her room once more, and begin to explore the outside for a bit. Sam has a coffee cup in his claws, and was taking occasional sips from it. Beside him, Plume has a pokeball in her hands; Stellar took a quick guess that it's Aria's. It seems like the smell of pizza caught their attention after all, since their gaze was at the Cacnea, chewing down the pizza he chose.
Seeing them seems to bring Stellar more comfort. And she felt comfortable enough to talk about...well, nearly anything. How could she not, to see her war partners play about with no care, everyone enjoying and inside her, she felt as if she could, too, with the situation as it is.
The smile Stellar gave to Etta for the question was a rather regretful one. Not fully regretful, but with enough regret to constantly wonder what could have happened if she didn't make the choice, if she had followed down another path.
"I left," was her answer, "I had an argument, a silly one, now that I look back, with my dad. Complete with shouts and yelling and everything. So I left home. So technically...I separated from them because I was too stubborn. I was fourteen then, reckless and feeling like I owned the world. "
And it was silly.
Silly, totally ridiculous.
"Now that I think about it, I never knew if they actually got involved. Got cut off there and then. I only met Rik a few years later, but that was the end of it."
Her young self was utterly reckless, and she paid the price for it. Perhaps not as heavy as those who actually lost their lives, but a price all the same.
"Bet you were smarter than that, huh?" Stellar joked weakly, letting out a small laugh. -- Spring got flustered, wondering why Cleave would ask her that. Was she rude and looked bored? That's horrible! She wasn't bored, she replied quickly, head down, just wondering for a bit, though exploring the room seems fun.
Raven nodded curtly, just...watching Cleave and Spring. She still worries though, for her shy and timid little sister, who has a big heart. What about Etta?, Raven asked, what kind of person is she?
At that, Sae perked up as well, red eyes gleaming. She wanted to know too, about this random person that Stellar said it's fine to be with.

"Bet you were smarter than that, huh?"
Etta laughed, rolling her eyes a bit as she looked up at the ceiling. "Me? No way. I left home at least half a dozen times, with absolutely no idea where I was going or what I was doing. I really didn't get it together until . . . I was nineteen, or so? And that was after a lot of soul-searching. Emile was the same way, actually." She smirked at Stell, shrugging. "It's kinda silly, sure, but I think it's also pretty normal, for a kid."
Of course, she had the blessing of being able to go home, when she realized that things weren't going the way she wanted them to. Stell's situation, the world she lived in, had been so much for volatile, and she hadn't been given that option. They same childish mistake that thousands of kids must have made had much higher stakes when they were set in a war zone.
But that didn't make them any less understandable. To be fourteen, and in the middle of all that? And still be around to talk about it, with all these great Pokemon there by her side? That was pretty badass.
She looked up for a moment to watch the two Archeops looking around the room, one of them holding what looked like the Aggron in her pokeball. One of them was even sipping from a cup - as used to human conveniences as Cleave and Eclair. They must have been with Stell for a long time, and been through a lot with her. Honestly, it was nice to see that they seemed to be relaxing now, too. She remembered how protective they could be of Stell.
Etta turned back to her. "Have you had any contact with anyone in your family since then?"
---
I'm glad if you're having fun, Cleave told her, but do feel free to look around, if you like. She seemed to very shy - he hoped that she would become more comfortable, eventually, especially since Etta seemed to like Stell so much, and their traveling together seemed like a definite possibility.
Etta and I have been together for ages, Eclair explained airily. She's the only one in the world who can keep up with me, I'm sure. She is very good. Very . . . adventurous, and I suppose you could say caring, if that's what you're asking about. If you're worried about your trainer, there's no reason to be. Etta seems to like her well enough, and Etta is very mindful of those she likes.
The Sneasel took a sip from her drink. Etta was her partner in crime, one could say, and though she would never let it on, it was a strange feeling to have to justify her to anyone. Etta was not one who needed much introduction.
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
It's amazing, to hear that Etta had been somewhat similar to her. It was also, in a way, acceptance, that Stellar had not been an exceptionally stupid person back then, acceptance that she's just human as well, teen and ready for an adventure.
Stellar wondered if she wasn't so...stubborn back then, and straight away turn back to home, would she still be here, now? It's another one of the what-ifs, thoughts, but that's a decision made ages ago. If she had turn back, some of the Pokemon she have probably won't be by her side now. There are things to be gain in war, if one could stop and see the small, silver lining, however tiny that is.
Stellar watched as Etta observed her two Archeops. It must have been interesting, in a way, to watch Sam pick up a cup like that. She still couldn't figure out how he is so well adapted to human life. Her other Pokemon are too, but not to the degree of being able to operate a electric kettle and brew his own coffee.
"No, I lost all contact," she answered Etta softly. Every, single contact lost. She can barely remember how they looked like. Sometimes, it felt as though as they never existed. "Sometimes, the only reason I still remember I used to have a family is by realizing I have a full name. Stellar....Aurelia."
Aurelia.
It means gold.
So used to being called Stell, Stellar at most. She had kept her family name carefully under wraps, not willing for people to try and track down her family as a result of her mistakes. Sometimes, she thinks she doesn't deserve the name, running away from home like that.
"In a way, being away from home is a good experience," Stellar mused, "Aria evolved from an Aron three months after I left home. We were rather desperate." And thus, she became her protector, the biggest, the fiercest of all protectors. "The war....even if it's bad, per say, I wouldn't have met some of my Pokemon without it."
Her eyes drifted to the two Archeops again, probably the finest examples of Pokemon she wouldn't have met otherwise without the war.
"Like, Plume, there," Stellar tilted her head, "She used to belong to a friend, and he left it in my care. I wouldn't have met that friend if I wasn't wandering the desert in search for a safe place to sleep." There was a slight giggle in her tone, and a sparkle in her eyes at the mention of meeting a friend in the desert, and she locked eyes with Etta, wondering if she noticed the rather obvious similarities. The irony of it, and the strange feelign of fate has played a role in this. Stellar hoped fervently from the bottom of her heart that this is where the similarities will end; that friend had left Plume in her care for one reason only, since he had loved the Archeops, the bird Pokemon being his starter.
And that reason was because he's dead.
"What about you? Any contact with your twin?"
--
Well, Spring seems to say, and she gently stoop up, her tail tucked carefully, Would Cleave like to join her in looking around, then? Maybe show her things? He seems to be very smart, and knows a lot.
Raven nodded in understanding, before sighing. 'Forgive me,' she says, 'but I'm awfully worried.' She can't bear to lose Stellar, not after what the woman have done for her, for them.
Saedea put her head down, understanding where Raven's worry is coming from. She herself is worried too, after all.
The Umbreon tilted her head to the Sneasel. 'Are you Etta's starter....?'

Way to go, Etta. Way to go. LOL. Would kill to see that scenario in your head.
On the other hand, in the old site, AUstory version of the plot involves Sam actually being Plume's original trainer and Stellar's desert friend,. In that AU, after he died he was reborn to be an Archeops to be reunited with his love. Plume in the AU is a pokemorph who loved him. LOL.
