tag stell words 243 note of course they will~ hahaha etta's going to order more food than should be physically possible to ingest.

"Nobody ever invited me to these kind of thing before. I...don't actually know what to do."
"Don't worry," Etta told her, beginning to drag her toward the entrance. "I'm an old pro when it comes to sleep-overs. Basically just stuff your face and find something to laugh about. And talk about boys." She chuckled. Actually, she hadn't done something like this since she was a teenager, so she was secretly very excited. She was a pro at sleep-overs . . . though when it came to girl talk she was usually better at getting other people to spill than she was at speaking herself.
"I suggest we start with dinner," Etta said, nodding expertly. "Say, three different kinds of pizza. You like pizza, right? I think I've only met one person ever who didn't."
She looked back at Stell, feeling her stiffen a little, and smiled. Etta would try to put behind her any air of mystery she usually kept around herself. It was already pretty clear that she was going to need to be the talkative one, and she didn't mind if that helped Stell take her mind off things.
Cleave, looking as pleased as a proud father at Etta's enthusiasm, turned to Spring with renewed vigor and gestured as though to say, "After you, my lady."
He had quietly decided that he would do whatever he could to make Spring feel happy and comfortable, since she seemed such a shy Pokemon.
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
Everything that Etta described sounded somewhat alien to Stellar. It's like a life she imagined someone else having, but never happening to her because it didn't quite seem realistic enough. Like a life she might have had but abandoned due to one argument. It's very jarring.
At least...dinner seems familiar enough. And pizza makes sense. Sorta.
"I'm fine with pizza," Stellar offered a weak smile, "Do we...eat all three pizzas? I mean, uh, do we have to eat three pizzas?" She can't help but have that thought. Maybe it's like some sort of ritual for sleepovers, to eat a lot of pizzas? She wondered if she could finish that all. Sure, blessing and all to actually have food, but...wow, three pizzas. Maybe she could save some for Aria instead. The Aggron would appreciate that, Stellar knew that.
She followed Etta into the building. The whole hotel somehow manage to look bigger on the inside than the outside. A grand chandelier hung from the ceiling, basking the lobby in clear, gentle yellow light.
Spring blushed, before hesitantly taking a few steps forward, almost immediately looking back to see if Cleave is following. Her ears perked up when she realized, why, yes, he is and they would be spending the time together and wow, here's a Pokemon that cares for her a little like her sister.

"Hahaha . . . I guess we don't really have to eat all of it," she said, though she could probably knock out a pizza and a half on her own, easy. "It's more for variety. It goes faster if you're watching a movie too, though."
A movie. They should go to the little hotel shop and she if there was anything there they could pick out. Maybe some pajamas? Would the firm's tab cover stuff like that? Probably.
And snacks. Popcorn, candy, chips - she was sure Eclair was up there ordering stuff for the Pokemon. Eclair embraced the luxury hotel life like she had been born into it.
The lobby was as glamorous as she had left it, this time with the addition of many men and women in formal dinner attire, heading out or toward one of the hotel's restaurants.
A stately-looking gentleman, silver-haired and mustached, materialized out of nowhere at their side. "Good evening, Miss Rassul. Welcome back. Oh my - are you alright?"
Etta looked down out her bandaged arms. "Oh, this? It's nothing. Just a little accident."
"Can I get anything for you? Ah, and good evening to you too, as well, Miss," he said to Stell, bowing slightly.
"Mr. Portman is a concierge, or something," Etta explained in a whisper. She turned back to him. "Um, actually, I do have a few things that I'd like sent up to my room . . ."
She took him off to the side, and began explaining, quietly, about the sleepover and what she thought they would need. Snacks, movies, a couple of extra pillows - Mr. Portman seemed more than happy to oblige her.
Cleave, still standing with Spring and Stell, gestured to a granite archway to their left, noting that the Pokemon recreation area was through their, and that all the services were covered by Etta's firm, if that was something Spring might like.
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
Now that makes sense. It sounds like a talk over tea, the casual sort, with no funny consequences or anything, or at least, Stellar wished. And a movie sounds nice. It sounds relaxing, extremely relaxing.
Stellar looked around, taking in her surroundings again. So many formal attires; it's as though as it's a politician's party, and that rarely bodes well. But this is a lobby, she reminded herself, and those are all normal people.
Though she very nearly ask Spring to attack the sudden appearance of this guy by their side. It was only Etta's relaxed stance at this sudden appearance that made Stellar back down; someone the other girl knows? Stellar continued to keep her way caution up, staring at the man as he fusses over Etta. "Good evening," she replied back evenly.
("Mr. Portman is a concierge, or something.")
Huh.
Okay.
Stellar was left a little awkwardly as Etta brought that guy aside, whispering about stuff. Unconsciously, she immediately thought it was awfully suspicious of Etta, but the woman drove that thought away. It's safe. It's safe.
She took that time to look around the lobby more. The area is very large, and she noted the signs that says 'exit', or ways that seems to lead to the outside. In any event that if this building somehow collapse, it seems empty enough to make a dash for it.
Spring, on the other hand, was enjoying herself quite thoroughly with Cleave's company. The recreation attracted her, curiosity gleaming in her eyes, but she took a glance at Stellar, then shook her head. She never went to anywhere alone before, not without her sister or without Stellar and she can't bear the thought of leaving her trainer's side. It was really too bad.

"OK, all set!" Etta announced, walking back to where Stell stood. "Want to head up to the room now?"
She stretched, arching her arms over the top of her head, and flinched slightly, having forgotten her wounds. Nonchalantly she dropped her arms back down, smoothing her dress with her hands. She needed to be more careful about that - no need to remind Stell about earlier.
"Mr. Portman's going to take care of all are snack needs . . ." She looked down at Cleave and Spring. "How about you two? Coming up with us or hanging down here?"
Cleave indicated with grand gestures that they would be accompanying the ladies upstairs. He smiled at Spring, to let her know that he wasn't disappointed about not going to the recreational area.
Etta rocked casually on the balls of her feet. "I'm glad you came," she told Stell. "It's just been one hotel after another lately - I've missed having a traveling companion."
Back when she was with the firm, she usually had the option of working with a fellow investigator. This was often one of her few friends. She had done a lot of traveling on her own, but she had missed the option to have someone there with her.
Cleave and Eclair were great company, of course, but Etta missed human companionship, and all the surprises that tended to go with it.
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
Stellar nodded, and turned around to see Spring, the same moment Etta stretched her arms, which, in a way, lucky for Etta, that Stellar didn't realize anything is up. The girl checked whether her Leafeon is okay, and she seems to be, albeit there's an interestingly happy step to her Pokemon's gait. It's nice to see the grass type so happy with another Pokemon though; that is rarely seen with another trainer's Pokemon, since Spring is so shy and all.
Spring smiled back at Stellar, but tilted her head when Etta asked. She waited for Cleave's answer first, though the Leafeon's answer is already set. She would follow Stellar, obviously. The girl reached out and patted the Leafeon's head, making sure to rub the back of her ears.
("Mr. Portman's going to take care of all are snack needs . . .")
That's really convenient, honestly. They are being treated like queens. Stellar followed Etta up a short flight of stairs, into a lift that seems to go on forever yet so fast in the same time, and into that one corridor which lead to their room, grand and majestic as it is.
("I'm glad you came. It's just been one hotel after another lately - I've missed having a traveling companion.")
Stellar felt warm. "I missed having a traveling companion too," she told Etta truthfully, "My Pokemon is awesome and all, but human companionship is different." Running away from home all those years ago didn't help, amplifying her loneliness.
Behind them, Spring padded along, following the group.

tag stell words 273 noteugh, now I can't wait for a rikkan/stell/etta thread. stell should definitely bring him up at some point during the slumber party.
I can feel it

The elevator was composed entirely of glass, and they could watch the lobby receding below them as the cabin rose smoothly toward the upper floors. Etta leaned against the handrail and checked her phone for messages, while Cleave pointed things out to Spring.
The upper halls were much less busy than the lobby, and they only passed a few staff members as they navigated back to Etta's room - Etta staring questioningly at the room numbers, and ambling along as though she wasn't entirely certain of the way.
"Whoo, here we are," she declared, finally spotting her room number and dancing over to swipe the card key. She glanced over at Stell and grinned. "This room is really something else."
She pushed the door open with a flourish.
Before them was a lavish living area, with a large flat screen TV and a very comfortable-looking collection seating - a sectional sofa, a loveseat, and two arm chairs. Bookcases and a vast desk to their right, a compact but high-quality kitchenette to their left, and also on either side of the living area were open double-doors that led to two luxury bedrooms. Another room set off from the far right corner seemed to lead to a room for Pokemon.
Etta's bags were still leaning against the wall near one of the bedroom doors, one of them opened but not unpacked.
"They'll be bringing stuff up for us in a little while," Etta told Stell, wandering over to lean against the back of one of the armchairs. "Do want to freshen up, or something? I think there are complimentary pajamas in both of the rooms."
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
Maybe the elevator made of glass wasn't such...a good idea for Spring. The poor Leafeon was shaking by the time she stepped out, even as she weakly nodded to what Cleave pointed out at. Stellar kept a concerned eye on the grass type, half wanting to withdraw the Pokemon back into the ball since she was shaking so much, but it was Spring's own decision, shaking her head, that made Stellar still let the grass type out.
Stellar's attention was drawn to Etta when the other woman opened the door to her (their?) room. And what a room it is.
Stellar could barely hold back her gasp. Such luxury.
She stepped in, looking around and around. Just...when was the last time she slept in a nice room like this? She can barely remember. "Oh," she barely heard what Etta had said, just...looking.
Behind them, Spring walked along with Cleave, curiosity on her face at the area that seems like its for Pokemon.
"Oh, uhm," Stellar blushed. She haven't wore a pajamas for a while as well. It's usually easier to just sleep in whatever she was already wearing, at most changing into a clean t-shirt or so. "I suppose? Sleepovers need pajamas, right?"

"Alright then. Make yourself at home," Etta told her, nodding toward Stell's room before retreating back into hers and softly closing the door. With a sigh, she looked around at the lush surroundings, and padded back to the bathroom where the pajamas and her toiletries were waiting.
I've gotta show her a good time, she thought as she washed her face and the bit of grime on her shins.I want her to feel comfortable.
She had to think of some safe topics to talk about. Nothing that would remind her about what had happened that day. But Stell's life seemed as though it had been so much different from her own, so that was going to be a stretch. Maybe it would be easier if they could slide into a movie - it would be a nice distraction, for a start. Plus, the food.
And they could talk about what they had both been up to since the last time they saw each other. And their Pokemon - Cleave and Spring seemed to be getting along really well.
"Just be cool," Etta said, looking herself in the eyes in the mirror. She nodded once.
"Party time."
***
Meanwhile, downstairs in the lobby, a certain green beach ball was bobbing and weaving its way toward the elevator, hot on the heels of a room service cart topped with DVDs, pizza, and snack food.
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
Make herself at home.
That's a very nice thing to say, and Stellar smiled shyly, nodding her head as she walked into the room. She shut the door gently, hearing Etta shut her door too. It was nice to take a breather after all this overwhelming stuff. Behind her, her room door creaked open again, and Spring padded in, having excuse herself from Cleave's side to join her trainer for now. The Leafeon expertly closed the door, turning around and using her long tail to lock the door as well.
Stellar looked around the unfamiliar room, her room for the next few hours. Okay, take it easy, she should be able to do this. This is a harmless, fun thing, right? She still couldn't resist inspecting the place first for anything before finally going back near the bed to undress herself.
Hesitance gripped her, but she reminded herself that it's only Etta, and Stellar shrugged off her stuff to the room's table. Her things include of knives, ropes and easy to do food plus a water bottle, and other clothing, like a cloak that she had bought recently. Stellar took a moment to take out her current team pokeballs, some tucked in odd places, like three around her waist, one around her bracelet and other two tucked somewhere else, just in case.
She headed to the bathroom as well, where she had noticed the toiletries and the pajamas were hanged. She took a minute to take a shower; hopefully Etta doesn't mind. The water helped clear her thoughts, giving her a sense of peace for a moment. It's really very wonderful. When she came out from the bathroom, pajamas and all, her team were there to greet her, in exception to Aria, but that's because of the room size. Her Aggron's pokeball is on the bed, rolling about as the giant Pokemon looked about the room as well.
Her other Pokemon, were each resting in their own ways, like they always do if Stellar ever found a room to stay in during her journey.
There's Sae, her Ninetales lounging off the bed like a giant, silver blanket, once in a while pushing her Aggron's pokeball around. Then there's Spring, who is reunited with her sister, an Umbreon, purring and telling the dark type all about her adventures for that evening. Then there's her two Archeops, Sam, the male one on the table and taking some fruits down for his female partner, even boiling the water in the kettle they provided in her room. That Pokemon is too good with human stuff sometimes that Stellar wondered why and how.
"Alright guys, I'm off," she said, and her Pokemon perked up at that sentence. Saedea let out a small, questioning sound, and Stellar shook her head.
"I'll just be in the other room, with Etta, okay? Take a break."
Her two Archeops perked up at the name, recognizing who. Spring ad begun to reassure the rest of the team about how okay this trainer is, and Saedea tilted her head as well, in recognition. Her Aggron's pokeball rattled, a little worry but since Stellar have told Aria everything (she always does), the Aggron reluctantly backed down.
Stellar smiled, and on her way out, patted the two Arcehops, who were nearest. She opened the door and peeked out, wondering if Etta is out already.
***
The elevator's door is about the close, but the beach ball dived in at the last moment, and managed to roll into the box filled with the DVDs, getting buried underneath those boxes. It surfaced up, before the smell of the pizza tempted it. After that long, long journey, it was just so hungry! The beach ball cautiously peeked at the pizza beneath the metallic cover, on the plate. Making a quick, snap decision, the green ball opened the cover and took just a tiny bite at the pizza, the metallic cover hiding it's existence....

By the way, hope you don't mind me rp-ing the beach ball. Let's hope Etta's the one that opened the cover for the pizza...

Etta was in the middle of pulling some plates and glasses out of the kitchenette when Stell peeked out of her room. She had already fiddled some with the television, getting accustomed to the remote, and had checked in on Cleave and Eclair. They were in the Pokemon section of the room, having what sounded like a friendly debate about something while Eclair hogged their snacks.
She glanced over when the room to Stell's door opened.
"Hey. How's the room? You liking everything OK?"
Etta was thankful that the pajama sleeves completely engulfed her arms, hiding any trace of the bandages, because the wounds were beginning to sting slightly again and she didn't want Stell reminded of them.
"Pick a seat," she said brightly, bringing the plates and such over to the coffee table. "You can't go wrong - they're all extremely comfy."
There was a heavy knock on the door, then, and an official-sounding but polite voice announced, "Room service."
"Nice. That was fast."
She opened the door and allowed the cart of food, DVDs, and other slumber party minutiae to be wheeled inside. Just one look at everything told her that the hotel was sought-after for a reason - all the things they had supplied seemed tailored to their needs. The DVDs looked brand new, there were extra blankets on the lower shelf, flashlights, temperature-controlled boxes for the stack of pizzas, more cans of soda than they would probably need . . .
She tipped the staffer who had brought up the cart, and closed the door behind him when he left.
Turning back to the cart, she put her hands on her hips and looked it all over again. The box of DVDs was the most impressive thing - it was very deep to start with, and the DVDs reached to the very brim of the box . . .
"Well, Stell, where do you want to start?" Etta asked.
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
Since Etta is already out, Stellar quickly walk out as well, feeling a little silly for peeking out like that. She hoped she didn't kept Etta waiting for too long. But then, she's so used to be careful, and as she walked out, Spring padded out with her, obviously looking forward to meeting Cleave again. This time, though, her more serious sister, and Umbreon, padded behind her as well, looking a little disgruntled, probably because Spring is so happy and wanted to show Raven around.
"The room's great," Stellar replied, "The shower was very nice." To think that the room is big enough for most of her Pokemon, it's really very cool. Her eyes landed back to Etta's arm, but she couldn't figure out if it's still hurting or not. Technically, acid should hurt more, but Stellar can't be sure of the medical technology in these regions. They could be far better.
By now, Spring have padded over to the Pokemon section of the room, greeting Cleave and introducing Raven. The Umbreon nodded politely, but stayed close to Spring.
Stellar took the offer to take a seat, choosing one that allows her to easily move if she needs. The room service is fast, and when the cart is wheeled inside Stellar's jaw dropped at the amount of things.
"That is really....a lot," she stood up and move over to the cart, "Do you need any help with anything?" Boxes of DVD's, and are those food? So much food. "I don't know...what do you usually start with, with these sleepovers?" Do they start with DVDs? No, that's silly, most likely food first, no? Cause those must be eaten warm?

Etta moved the pizza boxes to the coffee table, taking a few bags of potato chips as well and poking around the cart until she found a nested stack of large plastic bowls.
"Nope. Just relax. Honestly, we can start wherever you want. Pop a movie in, or just talk." She chuckled. "And food-wise, general procedure is to pretty much put all the food out and grab what you want." She reached down and touched the soda can. "Oh, nice. They're even cold. Want one?"
She put a couple of different kinds of soda on the table in front of Stell, then moved on to the box of DVDs, which still sat on the top tier of the cart. If the DVDs at the top of the box had shifted, Etta didn't notice. She hooked her fingers under the bottom of it and went to lift it, then stopped, looking down at it with a confused frown.
". . . that's bizarrely heavy."
Not that the box was hard to lift, but for it just being full of DVDs, she wasn't expecting the level of residence. She picked it up, and shook it gently. The DVD cases on the top slid around a bit, but gave no evidence to what lay beneath them.
With a shrug, Etta walked back over to the coffee table and placed the box down next to the stack of pizzas.
"Mmm . . . These smell really good. I wonder if they're made here . . . "
Etta leaned over and undid the zipper of the uppermost thermos box, bouncing a little bit as though to an imaginary song with excitement. She pulled the lid back, ready for a slice of steaming, perfect pepperoni pizza, and-
"Ah."
She pulled her hands back, staring wide-eyed down at the pizza, bottom lips slack. What the? Isn't this supposed to be a high-end place? What kind of service was this - not the kind she was expecting, that's for sure. This is the first impression they want to give?
". . . there's a bite taken out of it! Look at that. What is this?"
Etta through her hands up, glaring down at the pizza.
She was too upset to notice the DVD box shudder slightly.
Meanwhile, in the other part of the room, Cleave was greeting Spring and her sister in his usual gentlemanly manner, and quickly moved to offer them seats. Eclair raised an eyebrow at the pair, then nodded toward the pokemon snack she had set out in a silent offer.
"There's a war, and the price of fighting is loneliness. There's a war, and people died. There's a war, and nothing is left."
Stellar blinked. Oh, so they talk? But isn't that what they have been doing for the whole day, just talking? She reached out for the other food, helping Etta put them on top of the coffee table. The soda can that was offered was extremely tempting, and she took one, opening it with a quick 'thanks', gulping down it's contents to about half.
When she put down the can, Etta was staring at the DVDs. She was ready to offer her help since the other woman said that it was heavy, but Etta got it over safely enough. "They have a lot of DVDs," Stellar remarked lightly. She chose that moment to shift her eyes to the DVD's, picking up one, reading the title then putting it aside. Stellar repeated the cycle a few times, before Etta's gasp caught her attention again, and she stood up to see what made her upset.
"Oh."
She might not be used to sleepover, but Stellar at least understands what the meaning of good service. A half eaten pizza is not something she consider good service, and Etta too, by the look of it.
Behind them, the DVD box shudder again, and a green beach ball popped out, It looked around for a bit, before perking up delight when it could see Etta. It tried to reach out to call the woman, only to tumble forward, bringing the rest of the DVD's with it to the floor with a loud crash, and the beach ball rolled away and behind the seats, dizzy and a little knocked out by the tumble.
Stellar jumped at the crash and looked behind, eyes darting, only to figure out that it was the DVDs. "I might have tipped them aside too much or something? I'm sorry," she apologized sheepishly, feeling a little idiotic for being jumpy at her own mistake.
In fact....she looked up, and sighed, figuring that would be the general reaction. By Stellar's room door were her two Archeops and her Ninetales, peeking out and bristling, having been startled by the crash.
And on the other side....
Spring was purring at Cleave, while Raven nodded politely to Cleave's greeting, before moving to Eclair instead, obviously finding a sense of kinship with another dark type Pokemon. Before the Umbreon could accept any snacks, the crash sounded, and both Eeveevolutions sprinted to the doorway, Spring's eyes wide and Raven letting out a hiss.
"It's alright," Stellar ushered all her Pokemon back, giving them a grin, "I'm fine, see?" She held out her hand with her fingers in a 'v' sign to convinced them all. Her two Archeops looked uncertain, but turned back and into the room again. Sprign and Raven relaxed, and Spring was the first to pad back to where Cleave was, Raven following her after.
Saedea, though, instead padded forward and join Stellar's side, looking up at Etta.
"We could ask them to send up another pizza," Stellar suggested, and she looked around, finding for the room phone.

tag stell words 410 note hahaha, the beach ball is my favorite thing ever. but eventually, after the antics are over, Rikkan still needs to come up in conversation. I'm not sure what to have etta asked about though, since she's really worried about bringing up bad memories for stell.

Still literally up in arms about the state of the pizza she had been looking forward to, Etta turned toward the fallen DVD case with a sour expression. This hotel was supposed to be one of the best in the world, and suddenly everything was just crumbling to pieces.
"I might have tipped them aside too much or something? I'm sorry," Stell said, and Etta turned back to her.
"There's no way you could have tipped them that much. The box was so heavy, like it was weighted at the bottom."
Somewhat oblivious to the reactions of all the Pokemon in the room, Etta walked over to the box of DVD and began sifting through them until she could see the bottom of the box. Nothing to explain the extra weight. She put some of the DVDs that had fallen out back in, and lifted it experimentally.
Yeah. It definitely was not as heavy as before.
Suspicious. Very, very suspicious. She glanced around the room, looking for anything that might have rolled out, but saw nothing on first inspection.
"We could ask them to send up another pizza."
Etta stood, holding the DVD box. "In a minute. I want to get to the bottom of this first . . ."

Now, trapped inside one hotel room, the team must make the best use of their skills to evade capture, and secure the . . . pizza and DVDs . . .?

"Stell," Etta said, coming out of her revery. "I think some little pest might have snuck into the cart."
Cleave and Eclair, used to sudden outbursts when Etta was entertaining friends, were preparing the snacks when Spring and Raven returned. Or rather, Cleave was preparing them, while Eclair flicked through channels on the small pokemon TV.
Eclair considered the other dark type with appraising expression, then muttered a low, polite greeting. Cleave, upon Spring's return, began cheerfully pointing out what snacks he thought she might enjoy.
And, beyond all this, the beach ball rocked gently, slowly returning to consciousness.
