EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.
EPOCH is PG-13. Proboards’ Terms of Service:
Sex; When you get under the clothes, fade to black.
Violence; Do not go into extreme nauseating detail.
Cursing; This is so fucking allowed, but don't go overboard.
Suggestive Content; In avatars, signatures and templates can attract the wrong kind of attention. So be careful.
Their time was close to up for this round, but they had a little bit more time to explore these ruins. They had become quite the explorers in the months that Josh and Izumi had spent together traversing ruins that only seemed to just get more and more dangerous the more that they found more and more, and found more and more treasure. Sometimes they found nothing but absolute junk, but once in awhile they appeared to get lucky and find something.... Just worthwhile. Izumi had been lucky earlier, and he was hoping that the luck would reach out to him for this run.
Lightning had managed to calm down after the ordeal earlier. They had nearly lost their lives in a pile of rubble and a quick bird brained escape via Izumi's Braviary had allowed for them to escape as quickly as they could by the skin of their teeth. So he was clinging to Josh's shoulder now as they would traverse through.
"So" Josh would suddenly let out, looking back at Izumi. "What were you saying about what would happen if I mentioned your.... Baby pictures? And your uniform picture?" He would suddenly tease over at her with a cheeky grin.

The raven-haired girl was walking a bit ahead of him when she suddenly did an about-face and turned around to examine him with an uncharacteristic glare; that was bordering on outright incendiary. “If you really want to know, keep mentioning them and you’ll eventually find out exactly what I have in store for your punishment. It involves a pair of handcuffs and other things I would rather not disclose should you get any insane ideas of attempting to escape,” she began in a rather strangled-sounding hiss; because the accompanying mental images that were now capering through her mind were borderline obscene, not to mention incredibly… dangerous.
Now that the Pikachu had managed to calm down again, she then whistled, before quickly picking up the pace and looking around rather intently, defaulting back to her usual chipper tone. “Now, if we’re not going to be cursed too much with horrible luck this time around, I hope we can find something good to take home. We got last-ditch lucky earlier… hell, I hope the same keeps going. Finding good stuff to take home, I mean,” she remarked with a smirk on her face as she began to scan the floor ahead of them, trying to pick out anything that stuck out like a sore thumb.
“Get looking, too. Don’t want to trigger all sorts of traps now by accident, do we…” she muttered, as her eyes raked around the dim gloom, trying to ascertain their current location.

Handcuffs? Whoa, that was quite kinky for Izumi standards. He would raise an eyebrow, a bit caught off guard by Izumi's sudden plan to drag him into a closet and involve handcuffs for some sort of punishment. He was a bit horrified, but sort of curious at the same time. Josh, didn't you know that curiosity killed the talking Meowth? What kind of crazy shit did Izumi have in mind now? Of course, his taken aback state didn't last long. Josh didn't react well in the face of fear. He NEVER reacted well in the face of fear, but not in the way that you would expect. Instead of seeming scared of the prospect of it, he took it as a challenge that he just might tackle head on. He was brave in many ways... Foolish in others. "Oh, you mean if I keep mentioning the uniform pictures?" He would tease softly toward her with his lips slowly starting to twitch into a grin.
"Hey, you're the one that's triggering traps on us, Zu" He would remark. Though he would notice something starting to come up behind her....
"Hey Zu? There's... Something behind you" He would remark, just as the Golbat behind her would suddenly decide that the best course of action was to land on her head.

If one listened rather intently, one would hear the sound of flesh smacking against flesh, and the distinct popping and cracking of knuckles. It was rare to see Izumi getting very riled up over something like this; mainly because it was an event she’d already buried in the long-ago past and had no desire to revisit it. “Seriously, sucker, mention it one more time and—“she trailed off, before hearing the fluttering of… did she hear something zooming by above them? The raven-haired Trainer then began to look around, wondering if she’d just imagined it or something, but then shrugged her shoulders and continued to pop her knuckles in preparation for a slugging.
“Choose, would you prefer the handcuffs or would you have my fist making contact with your face?” she continued in a very measured voice—and then looking around just as he’d mentioned that there was something behind her. “Are you certain that there’s something? Because I’m not seeing anything in front of me—“she trailed off once more; before feeling something settle atop her head. The weight slightly sent her off balance; so she then reached up in order to check out what the thumping noise was—before letting out an almighty shriek.
“JOSHUA PHILLIP DRAGOMIR, WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DROP ON MY HEAD?!” she screamed out in her loudest voice as her fingers brushed by something…absolutely scaly; not to mentioned horrifyingly slimy!
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found WISE GLASSES! Looks like another digger lost their glasses in the dig. Lucky you these are just for show, so you can probably sell them off or keep them for yourself to make yourself look smart?

"The question is, what would the handcuffs entail?" He would inquire, but for now, they had something else to deal with. The Golbat on her head. "I didn't drop anything on your head, I swear!" He would promise as Izumi would completely utterly screech at him when the Golbat would land on her head. "It's a bloody Golbat, probably belongs to that Zubat flock!" Josh would call to her, before Lightning would decide to do something about it.
"Pika... CHUUUUU!" Lightning let out, unleashing a Thunderbolt on Golbat, thinking that he was helping Izumi. But Lightning had not factored in that the Thunderbolt, while it hit it's mark, would also zap Izumi as well!
"... Whoops" Josh said as the Golbat would fly off after being zapped, but he had realized that Lightning, while trying to help, had zapped Izumi as well. "... Sorry Zu. He was really trying to help" Josh said, biting his lip. "Pika Pika..." Lightning whined in apology.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found a RARE BONE! A bone that is extremely valuable for Pokémon archeology. It can be sold for a high price to shops.

She watched his face for any snarky reactions—but the face she saw was a truly surprised one, so she could take a guess that he was telling the truth. As she was about to start flailing and flapping her arms around in order to get the Golbat off her head as well as make a remark about why he was rather insistent in knowing what she was going to do with the hand cuffs, the little yellow blur had decided to take action instead, quickly aiming a zap of electricity her way! The raven-haired girl had no idea of knowing that the Pikachu was aiming for the bat ‘mon atop her head—even if he’d hit the intended target, he’d also zapped the girl as well!
“Ohhh, ouch, you little…” she trailed off, before staring into space for a few moments—right then and there her mind’s eye started flashing back towards that same occurrence; a similar moment that had happened not too long ago when Lightning had zapped her awake in order for them to be able to chase down their missing Bulbasaurs who’d seemingly gone off into the wild. The raven-haired girl continued to stare into space for a few moments before suddenly snapping out of it, before aiming a light conk on the Pikachu’s head.
“Ouch. At least try to send up a warning before you zap other people indiscriminately,” she remarked, before continuing onward, the better to be able to find what they were looking for.

Josh hadn't exactly planned on all of this going so bloody wrong so bloody fast. How was he to know that Izumi would scream from the Golbat landing on her head? Or even the Golbat landing on her head to begin with? And how could he anticipate Lightning trying to help by shocking the Golbat, and Izumi in the process? It was just all so... Freaking crazy!
"Uhh... Zu? Are you okay?" The blonde would ask, reaching out to try and hold her steady before she fell over after the Thunderbolt. She had stood there frozen for a few moments. "Zuu...?" He would let out, taking a worried breath. And then just like that, Izumi would snap out of it, and the blonde would raise an eyebrow as he followed. It was like it'd hardly effected her at all! She'd just gone into a daze for a moment, and then shrugged it off!
"Uh.... Sure" He said as they would follow along. "Are you... Sure you're okay?"

The raven-haired girl heard her companion’s concern, and quickly brushed it off (or attempted to) by remarking, “Yeah, I’m fine, no need to flip the hell out… just… don’t zap me again without warning,” she ended with a rather dark look at the Pikachu. She really didn’t know why her tone had veered off into the darker side of the spectrum, but she continued to walk forward and look around, trying her best to pick out obviously-raised tiles that stood out like sore thumbs. She’d spotted a few right away, and quickly made her way around, taking a rather circuitous route; before finally feeling her foot step on something.
“Hmm…?” she began once again, looking down and squinting as best as she could in the dark. She could barely pick out the shape of the silhouette that her right foot had landed on; but it looked to be something that she’d seen… in Professor Symphonia’s research materials! Her eyes then widened at the sight of the Sail Fossil; before crouching down and snatching it up, tucking it under her arm before looking around to face him once more. “Come on, let’s keep looking. I’ve already got something…” she trailed off, before waiting for Josh to catch up to where she currently stood, waiting for him to follow her.

Josh would note Izumi's... Rather sudden shift to the darker side of the spectrum and would raise an eyebrow, obviously worried. Lightning would let out a concerned and guilty whine. He hadn't meant to hit Izumi, the little Pika was only trying to get the Golbat off her head. "Zu... Lightning didn't mean to" Josh would speak softly, resting a hand on her shoulder. "He was only trying to help you and get the Golbat off your head before it attacked you. He didn't know he would accidentally zap you in the process" He said quietly, taking a breath.
Before long, Izumi would end up finding something. Josh couldn't help but smile a bit, at least Izumi was having some luck here. Of course, then he heard the crunch under his feet as he would crush another one of those "rare" bones and let out a groan in response. "Great... Just great" The blonde would mutter irritably as they kept walking. Was this really going to be his bloody fate? Seriously?
