Sarah walked casually as yawning, she felt a little tired from all the exploring she had done recently, but still it was fun she had met a lot of people and her pokemon had grown stronger particularly growlithe and pichu, she couldn’t help but smile at their progress, but frown at pichu’s behavior, she had actually caused a ruckus with a encounter with Rachel, and actually shocked Rachel, Sarah could understand why pichu did it, after all Rachel was a big human, while pichu was small and fragile, the poor rodent was only defending herself.
Sarah eventually got bored and let riolu out of his pokeball followed by bulbasaur, the trio walked together and stopped when Sarah noticed three diglets playing about, Sarah looked at her duo pokemon she knew if she allowed the two to fight against the odds this would take longer than it really needed to, She brought out a pokeball and unleashed charmander
The fire pokemon looked at Sarah then to the wild pokemon and caught up to what the situation was, riolu and bulbasaur stood beside charmander “Bulbasaur use Power whip on the digglet on the left, charmander use inferno on the right and riolu force palm on the one in the middle” she ordered and watched as the trio got to work Bulbasaur’s whip extended the distance slaping the diglet while the charmander spat out an inferno of fire from his mouth hitting the diglet and burning it, riolu ran towards the diglet and with the smack of his fist used force palm.
Two of the digletts tried a combination of mudslap and sand attack on riolu, as bulbasaur's whip grabbed riolu and pulled the pokemon back, the third diglet had used magnitude striking bulbasaur and charmander causing a shaking in the ground. The two struggled with it and charmander felt it was going to get motion sickness
Sarah’s bulbasaur lowered the riolu down “Bulbsaur use power whip on the diglet to the right, Riolu copy cat to the riolu on the left and charmander inferno center stage” Bulbasaur jumped into action extending it’s vines to bitch slap the diglet on the right, while riolu used copy cat to attack the diglet on the left with power whip and the young chrmander jumped into the air and unleashed a inferno of flame added to the diglet burning it
The trio of digletts weren’t happy about this situation, two of them already burned and wounded, the trio weren’t about to let anyone the trio rushed towards riolu, charmander and bulbasaur slashing them successfully. Sarah watched as her babies stumbled back, she bit her bottom lip worried, she was worried for them, they were still young, as she thought about calling growlithe to handle the situation she watched as they each got up and she smiled.
Sarah decided if they could get up and were still willing o fight, then it was up to her to let them, the teenager pointed “Charmander inferno to the diglet on the left, Bulbasaur use razor leaf on the one on the right, riolu copycat and attack the center” she ordered, charmander had already charged up another inferno and unleashed it, he was guessing that Sarah wanted each of the diglet under a status condition to weaken them for capture, the teenager could see charmander’s attack hit as bulbasaur unleashed razor like leaves on the diglet in the right, Sarah smiled and watched as riolu spin around copying bulbasaur by unleashing razor like leaves aimed at the last diglet.
Sarah was hopeful that the barrage of attacks were enough as she grabbed a three small pokeballs and clicked on the white area to expand them, she tossed all three pokeballs at the diglets hopeful for the success

FIGHT!
Josh had been wandering the Bosky Ham in hopes of finding a new Pokemon to catch. He had never once tried catching Pokemon here... Why? He wasn't entirely sure. But that was going to change today as Joshapher Robin and Winnie The Pikachu wandered through the Hundred Acre Hamlet. But he'd been looking for hours at this point. Maybe Wild Pokemon just generally didn't come through here?
That question would be answered as something would pop up from under the ground beneath him, and nearly knock the blonde off his feet. "Diglett Diiiiig!" Something would let out as it stared at him. Josh would look down to see a Diglett looking at them. A symbol would appear on the corner of it's head, which was the only indicator it was upset about the blonde nearly stepping on him due to the fact that Diglett had no mouth. But Diglett made his intentions clear by firing a Bulldoze that both Josh and Lightning would leap, backwards, out of the way of. "Whoa! Diglett, calm down!" Josh called but Diggy wasn't happy. Josh knew he needed a good counter for Diglett.... But what?
"Hmm.... Go, Carter!" Josh would call as he would send out his Noibat. "Noibat!" The baby bat would call as it would fly around, circling Diglett, who was pretty much useless at this point due to Carter's Flying typing. "Carter, use Air Slash!" Josh would call as the Noibat would respond by using it's wings to fire blue razor sharp spheres toward the Diglett, who would be hit dead on in it's confusion. The Diglett would go for Bulldoze again, but the Noibat would fly higher to dodge any attempt at it. It was clear that Josh had the advantage here, and that Diglett was going to have some serious trouble trying to take his Noibat down. "Use Super Fang!" Josh would call, hoping to finish this early. The Noibat would swoop down, but the Diglett had one trick up it's sleeve still. It would suddenly disappear underground. Dig? No. But burrowing underground was a DIglett specialty. It was how it protected itself. It was no Dig attack, but it would leave the Noibat flying around wondering where it was. "There!" Josh would call toward the Diglett, who had popped up. "Use Agility, then Air Slash!" Josh would call to the Noibat, who would catch the clueless digger by surprise as it would suddenly pick up speed, before firing off an even faster Air Slash, that hit Diglett dead on. "Finish it! Hyper Fang!" Josh would call as the Noibat would swoop down, a fang flashing as it would slam into Diglett. An explosion would occur, smoke kicked up, and Josh noticed the Diglett, full body, flew through the air. He would toss a Pokeball at it in mid-air, and watch it go in...
What did Diglett remind him of? He couldn't put a finger on it...

Every farmer should have one, it was common knowledge. The farmer that didn’t have a Diglett simply lost out of on so many farming possibilities – their abilities to enrich the soil and make furrows helped everyone. They were swarming, that much she knew, she had asked the people in the Rangers if she was free to capture one, and they told her to try to knock out as many as she could. Needless violence wasn’t her thing, but she had enough Poke Balls on her to capture two of them, and she knew a certain someone who needed the training desperately.
”Crescendo, they’re just Digletts! No need to be afraid!” She nuzzled and attempted to comfort, hugging the Whismur in her arms tightly. The Whisper Pokemon was seemingly terrified to think that it might be battling, especially against wild Pokemon. It wasn’t thrilled at all when Elizabeth put him on the floor, and even with her reassuring words that called him and reminded him that she would be there every step of the way and if things went south, she’d just send Marble in, Crescendo was still very unhappy about the sheer possibility that this might happen. It was near tears, really, when two Diglett popped out before the Breeder and Pokemon, seemingly annoyed that someone was invading their territory.
Both Digglets began shaking and bobbing up and down in their place, and the ground began to shake and quake. Two Earthquakes at once? They would rip everything apart! It was no wonder that the Rangers wanted them out, the Breeder quickly realized. Nonetheless, she had to help her poor little Crescendo through this. He was so unsure of himself, even with all the incredible training they had gotten and the work they had done. Even then, the Whismur didn’t feel prepared for this – she’d just have to prove him wrong. Mother knows best, after all.
”Hold on, Crescendo! Jump in the air and try Hyper Voice, darling!” The Whismur nodded timidly, and before the sheer power of the Earthquakes smashed against it, it jumped into the air, propulsing with its agility training and avoiding the breaking of the stone and ground under him. Elizabeth was knocked prone, unable to hold on as the strong attack rippled the ground under her.
The Whsimur looked in terror as his Liz-Liz, his mother, fell due to these two Digletts. And suddenly, somehow, something clicked – he was not going to let these two hurt his mom. Never, never, never would he let someone hurt her as long as he could do something. He might be terrified, he might be unable to stand, but he was not going to let himself be paralyzed by fear again. He had fought against that monstrous Zoroark, he could take Digletts. With a deep breath, the Whisper Pokemon broke out in a giant yell, the Hyper Voice deafening the sound of the Earthquakes as it ripped against the Digletts, dealing strong damage to the pair of Ground-Types.
The Breeder slowly got back some of her balance, but did not dare to try to get up again – not only was she clumsy already, but if another Earthquake ripped through the ground, she’d just be knocked down again. Might as well just stay safely on the ground. But as she looked on, she saw something… different about her baby Crescendo. He loathed fighting, he hated even the concept of fighting, but he was… he was pushing forward. What happened to her little baby?
”Great job, Crescendo! Superso- Crescendo?” Instead of finishing her command, the Breeder was surprised to see the Whismur in front of her, in a defensive stance, as if ready to defend her. Both Digletts glared at him, angry with the results. One of them went underground, while the other one dashed at the Whismur. Was Crescendo… defending her? He must be scared to death! A flashback hit her of the time she fought that Zoroark… Crescendo had been stiff with fear. Could he be getting braver?
”Careful, Crescendo! Hit the incoming one with Supersonic, and watch out for the one who went underground, baby!” She called out. The Whismur was still terrified, but hesitation had no place in his slowly growing bravado. With another deep breath, the Whismur let out a sharp, painfully high sound, the soundwaves smashing against the Diglett. The incoming Ground-Type stopped in its track, dazed and Confused from the Supersonic attack. Crescendo seemed to stop and listen for a second, and with almost perfect timing, jumped into the air, avoiding the Dig attack from the second Diglett.
Had Crescendo heard the Diglett coming?
Elizabeth was astounded. She didn’t expect this from her little, tiny timid Crescendo, but she wasn’t about to stop him now. ”Stomp!” She commanded.
As quickly as he had jumped, the Whisper Pokemon came down, smashing and stomping on the Diglett who had dug under it. The Diglett cried out in pain, and retreated again. The other Diglett attempted to attack, but in confusion, only managed to hit itself with a rock. The Whisper Pokemon took the chance and screamed again, Hyper Voice ripping through the air, smashing against the Confused Diglett. Unable to take the punishment, the confused Ground-Type fainted. The Breeder took the chance and quickly threw a Poke Ball, still looking for the second Diglett.
The second target quickly came up, panting, obviously tired. Without giving Crescendo a time to catch his breath, the Diglett raised its head, and from under the Whisper Pokemon a sharp rock smashed sliced against it, hitting a tender spot, making the Normal-Type cry out in pain. A critical hit with Slash attack, Elizabeth knew. ”No, no! Crescendo, baby, I’m coming!” She tried to get up, but Crescendo shook his head. He would not give in, not now. Elizabeth was floored. Was he… She had to support him. ”Crescendo, I believe in you, finish this! Hyper Voice, show that Diglett how brave you are!”
The Normal-Type looked up, and nodded to the Breeder. He wasn’t going to be beaten, not like this. The Normal-Type took one last deep breath, ignoring the pain on its side, and cried out, the Hyper Voice once more ripping through the air. The Diglett could only take the full-front of the attack, smashed by the sheer force of the Hyper Voice. Unable to take the damage, the Diglett fainted. Elizabeth wasted no time in throwing the Poke Ball, but as soon as the capsule left her arm, she finished getting up, running and picking up the Whisper Pokemon, lifting it and swinging it around, happiness in her voice.
”Oh, my baby Crescendo is all grown up! Oh, you’re so brave and strong, you’re so incredible! You should have seen yourself, darling, you were amazing! I’m so proud of you, Crescendo, so so proud of you!” she gushed, unable to resist taking the Pokemon into her arms, cuddling it. The Whismur cuddled into her, letting itself finally be afraid again. God, that had been almost as bad as the Zoroark. It nearly cried into the Breeder, as the Mother of All Mothers happily crooned the Pokemon.

AS SOON AS THE LIGHTS GO DOWN
THE SHADOWS ARE ON YOUR SIDE
Miguel had been hearing reports of a Diglett infestation down at Bosky Hamlet. While he was sure that the Ice Gym Leaders could take care of a majority of the problem with little to no effort, he had been lax in training his other pokemon lately so he had decided to help out with the problem by joining in the fun and beating up some of the creatures.
However, he didn’t expect to stagger backwards from the sheer force of their auras and thoughts as soon as he stepped into the suspected area. ”ARGH! What the fuck was that?!” Miguel grumbled as he held his head.
DIGLETTS! WHO ARE WE?! Miguel flinched at the sudden massive pulse of aura and took a few steps backwards, confusing some of the more curious onlookers.
And the resounding answer only made his headache worse. WE. ARE. SPARTAN. DIGLETTS!
”Okay. Crazy Spartan Digletts. That’s new.” Miguel grumbled as he retracted most of his aura sense, being unable to handle that many at once for long periods of time. He didn’t want to have to explain the side-effects of overloading his powers to the doctor –or worse, Miyu- while having to lie about what really caused it. Nor did he want to go blind permanently or even temporarily.
Unfortunately, it meant that he was going to have to go into this swarm battle almost completely blind for the first time in months or even years. A battle where he could only rely on the senses that normal people have.
This was gonna be a challenge.
Miguel pulled out two pokeballs from his belt, face still set in a frown after the near overload that he was subjected to. He then tossed it up into the air and released the pokemon within, revealing the forms of a black and white bear cub with a leaf in its mouth and a bipedal cactus with a flower on its head.
The bear cub was already working itself up as soon as it got out of the pokeball because it had honestly been too long since he had gotten out in the wild. It loved being pampered and all, but he was supposed to evolve into a tough guy so he can’t settle for pampering! It needed some muscle in its arms and some toughness in its bones and it can’t get that from warm hugs, sweet kisses, awesome head rubs or even soft beds.
”Capone. Zetsu. It’s time for a round of training for the both of you.” Miguel remarked, his tone uncharacteristically businesslike. ”I can’t understand you guys right now, so I just want you to listen.” He paused. ”…You can keep working yourself up as I explain, Capone. Zetsu, feel free to go to max size.”
The two pokemon paused and stared at him for a moment before the bear cub started working himself up again while the moving plant closed his eyes, glowed a soft green, and then grew larger. And as Miguel started to explain what the plan was, the bear cub got more and more worked up and impatient while the walking cactus got larger and larger.
Right after Miguel had finished explaining, Capone was now working with a full head of steam and energy as he worked himself up to the max. Meanwhile, his companion Zetsu was now towering over them both as a large behemoth of his former self.
Feeling that he had recovered, Miguel focused and turned on his power for a moment. SPARTANS! LET US CONQUER THIS HUMAN SETTLEMENT IN THE NAME OF SPARTA AND OUR KING! RISE UP AND RAGE AGAINST THE OPPRESORS!
AWOO! AWOO! Miguel immediately flinched, turned off his aura senses and took a few more steps back. ”They’re coming guys! Brace yourselves for the Spartans!”
Zetsu and Capone took fighting positions. Right after he said that, a mass of brown erupted from the earth right in front of the two pokemon, aiming to smash into them. Zetsu managed to get the drop on them by immediately sucker punching the two lead Digletts in the face. Now a normal Sucker Punch wouldn’t do more than average damage to a Diglett, but since he had grown to maximum size even a punch from the now-massive Zetsu was devastating enough to knock the Digletts unconscious. However, he was so massive that the other Digletts were able to hit him anyway despite his best efforts.
Capone, however, wasn’t blessed with a priority move and was quickly swarmed by three Digletts with hits that almost brought him to his knees. Instead though, he tossed the one who hit him first into the ground with Vital Throw, immediately knocking it out because of the strength he had gotten from being so worked up. He then followed it up by punching the two Digletts in the head with Drain Punch, sucking up half of their total health while knocking them back down into the ground like he was playing Whack-A-Diglett. Which he was, coincidentally.
The Digletts then tried to return into the ground all at once, but Zetsu and Capone able to pick two more off each, this time by using Giga Drain and Drain Punch on the victims they could reach. As the rest of that party sank, another set of Digletts appeared from out of the ground to replace them, this time in a group of six.
“DIGLETT!” This time they tried to attack with synchronized Slash attacks all aimed at the behemoth, all of which struck true and forced the Behemoth to its knees. What they didn’t expect was for the behemoth to suddenly glow red and spin around on said knees, giving back each and every one of them double the force that they had used against him. He then followed it up by sucking up half the heath of what little each had left by using Giga Drain from his mouth and arms twice.
A third group of Digletts tried to take advantage of the distraction by popping up and trying to attack Zetsu, only for a waiting Capone to slam into the two nearest ones with Aerial Ace, taking them out of the equation immediately. Zetsu then sucker punched the third and fourth ones right back into the ground before sucking up the health of the last two with Giga Drain, restoring most of his health in the process.
The rest of the largest group –the first group- then came back roaring with a vengeance all aimed at Capone. Zetsu could only sucker punch two of them before they could reach Capone but the rest managed to hit him, this time bringing him to his knees. However, Capone got the last laugh when he threw the nearest one to the ground with Vital Throw while biting another one with Crunch. Then he followed it up with a combo blitz of Aerial Ace and Drain Punch to rob them of their health and add it to his own.
This pattern then continued for what seemed like hours (but really only minutes) as group upon group of organized Spartan Digletts swarmed the two brave young pokemon. Said two brave young pokemon relied on stealing their victims’ health while slugging it out, giving no quarter against the waves. They were like two valiant soldiers making their last stand against the endless wave even though their trainer could provide them with backup whenever he wished.
And Miguel? He was smirking quietly to himself, pleased that his pokemon were following his instructions to the letter as he surreptitiously took out two pokeballs and caught two of the more interesting Digletts to use as barter for later….
