The Mother Hen
Elizabeth Maxwell
♀ 23 YEARS OLD
Current Region
Nue, Bosky Hamlet
OCCUPATION
Interpol Agent / Breeder
Elizabeth has been everywhere – born in Johto, raised in Hoenn, moved out to Kalos, and then moved to Nue because of work. She’s a Breeder who considers all her Pokemon her children, as well as some people that she knows – mother to all, she’s kind and caring, a bit of a busybody and a bit of a klutz. Even with all of that, however, she’s also an Agent of the Interpol, and she takes her job quite seriously, determined to be of help to the Interpol and to those who depend on her. What she lacks in battle experience she makes up with in determination, stubbornness, and a lot of raw, physical strength. Her hobbies include farming, baking, mothering her Pokemon and the members of the Interpol, and exploring the forests of the Bosky Hamlet.

Elizabeth's childhood friend, born around the same time the Breeder was, and they've been friends since they were both toddlers. She was her ward, her friend, and is now her partner.
Elizabeth's partner in crime, sister-in-arms, and any other kinship, Marble is the official second-in-command of Aselia Farms, charged with almost as much responsibility as Elizabeth. Marble’s true nickname is actually Marble-Warble-Cuddly-Poo. Marble's favorite duty is taking care of baby Pokemon, and she does so with glee, serving each of them a healthy portion of Moo Moo Milk. She's Elizabeth's first Pokemon, and as such, holds the closest bond with the Breeder, being the one being that Elizabeth sees an equal, not her baby. However, it's also Marble who yells at Elizabeth for taking risks she shouldn't, knowing her clumsy being. Marble is an avid battler when she needs to be, partaking in Elizabeth's "mother bear" mentality, and while normally docile, can be a powerful ally.
Raised from an Egg, Crescendo is the handywork of Liz's parents, Master Breeders. It was the combined effort by Liz and Marble that managed to hatch him. He evolved in the fight against Gaia.
Crescendo's evolution changed him completely. Instead of being the timid little guy he used to be, he's now, as could be expected from a Loudred, boisterous and assertive. He eats like a monster, and Elizabeth happily feeds him all he wants, making him perhaps a bit spoiled, something Marble very quickly whips out of him. While he might make a tough guy act and work hard in the farm, he still views Elizabeth as his mom, and would rather someone bit his ear off than let someone scratch her. He's easy to scare, but he faces fears with determination, as his mother taught him. His main job is to guard the farm from intruders, for which he battles and trains often.
A strange one, Carbonaro is Elizabeth’s 3rd Pokemon, obtain as payment from a Breeding deal. He didn't seem at all alarmed, bothered, or otherwise changed by the fact his Trainer had given him away so easily. He evolved in the Capture of Richissime event, where his quick thinking and battle prowess saved the day.
He’s quite the busybody, and his no-nonsense attitude is always present: he takes to any given task with vigor, often not stopping until its done. He’s quite battle seasoned in comparison to the rest of Elizabeth's team, and this apparently has shaped a lot of his mentality, making him somewhat more mature than the rest. He's quite sensitive about his age, and does not react happily to people mentioning it. Perhaps one of the most responsible beings on Aselia Farms, he’s often the one who delegates jobs for the day, and partakes in doing his own part to keep the farm up and running. He's not that good with children, however, and leaves those tasks to Elizabeth or Marble or another mother-type. He prefers not to battle when he doesn't need to (once again, no nonsense), and instead would rather just douse an opponent in Spore. Nonetheless, he’s an avid close-range fighter.

Obtained from a kind person who left her on the farm when she couldn’t take care of her further, Epona was very untrusting of her surroundings at first, but after some time and a few burns on Elizabeth, she ended up trusting her new partner. She evolved in the Capture of Richissime event, where Elizabeth's encouragement and her victory over the opponent's Pokemon solidified her confidence.
Evolved, her timidity is gone, and instead she's stoic and bold. Epona holds a deep devotion for Elizabeth, who raised her to be who she is now, and loves nothing more than galloping on the fields of Aselia Farms, letting her legs go free and her speed fill her - this is when she's happiest. After all her training, she's an adept mount, and Elizabeth can easily ride Epona around in most terrains, even difficult ones. While she prefers not to battle, she's quite fierce and powerful, and will not be scared into submission, especially if it's for Elizabeth. She still tries to not burn things down in the farm.

Queen Bee of the Berry Fields, Mary was obtained as, once again, payment for a Breeding. She took to the Berry Fields almost immediately, marking them as her territory. Technically, all other Pokemon who enter them are her “subjects.”
Mary sees it as her sworn duty and desire to do two things in life: pollinate the Berry Gardens and tend to the young. Everything else is recreation. As mistress of the Berry Gardens, she rules with a very stinger-filled iron fist, and anyone who messes around unnecessarily will see her fury. She’s quite the good farm master, however, and she and Elizabeth often spend time together figuring out what crops should be planted in which manner. Wild Combee often pass around the area thanks to her. She likes to present herself as scary and cold, but she’s actually really warm and kind, and likeliest to coo a baby to sleep. Elizabeth isn’t sure if Mary likes her or not, but she still sees her as a trusted ally. In battle, Mary commands her minions to potent degrees.
Cielia was given to Elizabeth as a gift, from an old friend who knew how much Elizabeth wanted a Swablu. The Cotton Bird Pokemon was recently born, so it wasn’t at all disappointed with its new home.
Much like Ambrosia, Cielia spends most of her time in the skies above Aselia Farms, mostly because she waits for a person to enter the lands so she can land on their head. Like most Swablu (albeit a bit more than normal), she enjoys being a fluffy hat on people’s heads, and Elizabeth more often than not spends her farm work with Cielia on her head. An avid singer, she spends a lot of time teaching Crescendo melodies to replicate and work with. She abhors battle, but is not unwilling to partake in it if necessary for self-defense or such.
Given to Elizabeth by a peer of hers in an Egg, Rafflesia was born very soon after Elizabeth obtained the Egg. Her little legs let her wander around very soon after that.
Curiosity is perhaps Rafflesia’s biggest quality, and her little legs let her do it. She spends most of her time among the Berry Gardens under Mary’s watchful eye, or in the forests in Aselia Farms, careful not to get out of the farm border. She loves learning about things, but has a bad habit of learning about things up close, which can be detrimental when said things aren’t the safest. She’s a cheerful little thing, but she just seems to be ditzy enough to not know how to be sad. Like many Grass-Types, she finds her strength in strategy, not direct, raw power.
Given to Elizabeth as an Egg, she was a gift given to her by Ace. She was nurtured as an Egg, crooned by the love the Breeder felt for her fellow Interpol member. Thus, she hatched as a very healthy Pokemon.
Demeter thinks herself a Meganium, or at least she really wants to be. If Mary is the Queen of the berry fields, the Demeter is the princess, and she sees it her job to patrol around the area, helping all the plants stay healthy. She keeps trying to practice breathing on any plant that might be sick, so as to make it healthy, but she’s no Meganium yet. Gentle, but strong-willed, she thinks herself a bit stronger than she actually is, often making training a bit difficult for Elizabeth, since the species is such a defensive species when it comes to battle.

Ambrosia was given to Elizabeth by a Trainer who apparently could not care for the Pokemon further, and wanted to give it a good home. It took quite some time for Elizabeth to get the Pokemon to like her, but it was done.
Ambrosia is like a guard – she spends most of her time flying above Aselia Farms, making sure nothing bad gets past her keen eyes. Otherwise, she’s munching on the leftover Berries that Mary gives her. She acts very protectively, for some reason, something the Breeder has yet been unable to decipher – whoever the last Trainer was, he was… strange. Nonetheless, Ambrosia is friendly enough, once you get past her trust issues. Easiest way to get her to like you is to give her fruit – all the fruit you can possibly give her. Her old Trainer gave her much battle experience, and thus she expertly fights her opponents with skill.

Atlas was obtained from the Richissime event, bought before the attack of Team Luxury. Elizabeth worried that the stress from the event would make him unhealthy when hatching, but he was just really hungry.
He doesn’t really do much. Like the tortoise he is, Atlas knows that slow and steady wins the race, and so that’s how he lives his life. If there’s something he likes, it’s eating. Boy, does he eat – Mary and Demeter have to work together to keep Atlas out of the Berry fields daily, just so he doesn’t overgorge on Berries. Even with this, he’s an extremely hard worker, as long as work matches his pace. He’s the same for everything, and this includes battle – he’ll rarely hurry, because he’s sure that, at his own tempo, he’ll be able to deal with whatever put before him.
Lunesta used to be the Pokemon of some Team Rocket Member, and when that Team Rocket Member was incarcerated, she was given to Elizabeth in order to help her become accustomed to the world.
As a Metapod, there isn't much to say about her. Lunesta sticks to her tree, perched high above everyone on a branch. She watched over everything. Quietly. Back when she was a Caterpie, she was quite nice and friendly, but now, she's quiet. Everyone says that when she evolves, she'll be a happy camper again. Elizabeth will gladly help her until that day comes.
Hatched from an Egg that Elizabeth bred for Engel, she took a spare and bred it for herself. The resulting Weedle was quite huggy when it came to dealing with its new mom.
Lancet is a bit aggressive, if anything, but he can control it, for the most part. Proud and boisterious, he trains to be the strongest Bug-Type in Aselia Farms, often ending up in Morpheus's territory, having to be escorted out by the Ariados. He knows he's only a Weedle, but he also knows that his poison is mighty, so he trains hard to evolve as quickly as possible. He and Lunesta used to be best friends, but now that she evolved, he feels like he needs to catch up. He has a habit of spraying everything with String Shot, and forgets that he needs to be careful when cuddling with Elizabeth, because he has a giant stinger on his head.
Morpheus was given to Elizabeth after he was rescued from a Team Rocket Member. After the Rocket was arrested, Morpheus was given to Elizabeth in order for him to become acquainted to his new life.
Morpheus is quiet, and he doesn’t like socializing much. He had a long, hard, dark time in his time with the Rocket, and his training made him very much a killer, something he fights against ever since his new life began. Elizabeth gives him space, knowing that he’ll need it, and has given him reign of most of the forests. He tries to be patient with the rest of the Pokemon, but more often than not he’ll gladly escort them out of his territory. In battle, he is precise and deadly, using poison to deal with any opponent effectively and quickly.

Another Pokemon given to Elizabeth, Joey was not so much reluctant to come to the farm as he was reluctant to leave his current life, but he did it. Though a lot of convincing. And food.
Joey is the top percentile of Rattata, and there are very few Rattata in the world who could possibly declare to think themselves better than him. Even his evolution, Raticate, pales in comparison to Joey’s prowess and ability. That’s what the kid that Elizabeth bought Joey from said, but to her, Joey seems like a normal Rattata. Nonetheless, she treats Joey like she would treat any of her other children, and gives him all the care he needs – he’s quite low maintenance, and seems to just hang around or do his farm work most of the time. The kid that gave him to Elizabeth seemed to say he was some battle master, but that remains to be proven.

Colette was given to Elizabeth by another Breeder, saying that she was “more trouble than she was worth,” which in all honesty Elizabeth has yet to understand, since Colette and her hit it off incredibly well.
Colette is a lot like Elizabeth, which is probably why the two get along so well. She, like mother, is ridiculously kind, as expected from her species, and she’s the likeliest one to run off around the farm, only to help a Pokemon who tripped or something minor like that. Of course, she’s also a lot like Elizabeth in that she is ridiculously clumsy, and tends to trip or tumble often. Some say that her ditzyness is blessed, as she had never once had a bad thing from klutzing something up. She’s an avid medic, and she and Marble often tend to any illness in the farm. People don’t expect it, but she’s incredibly powerful in battle, and often goes of the offensive more than anything.

Elizabeth caught Scout when there was a Sentret Swarm, back in the Johto Region. There wasn’t much of a fight, mainly because Scout wasn’t very interested in fighting in the first place.
Scout is the nickname over the nickname: her actual nickname is Jean Louise, but everyone has taken to calling her Scout, her full name only being used when formalities are necessary or when she’s in trouble. There’s true innocence in Scout, a kind of childish wonder that makes everything seem less harmful that it might be. Elizabeth worries that Jean Louise might get in some trouble, but what with every Pokemon in Aselia Farms looking out for her (even Morpheus), she can’t get hurt. Scout has a knack with words, and she’ll be darned if she can’t talk herself out of a fight. She really doesn’t want to do much fighting, but in the case she does, she’s up close and personal.

Easel was passed down to Elizabeth after her parents said that he would be “happier away from their farm.” Whatever they meant by that, neither Easel nor Elizabeth have been able to figure out.
Easel is laid-back. He very rarely cares about much in the first place other than painting and whatever farm work he was assigned for the day. In fact, he’s quite relaxed about everything, something that sits well with other Pokemon in the farm like Atlas. Nonetheless, he’s very active when it comes to doing his chores, because less chore time means that more painting time. He has a very interesting painting style which incorporates Berry-based colorings and dyes from the leftovers in the Farm. He thinks himself a true artist, and thus would never deign himself to a fight – all the moves he copies are mostly defensive or utility moves, to get out of a fight quickly.

Benji was caught from a Swarm, the guy becoming a hassle to capture when his Hidden Ability activated all of the sudden. Luckily, they were able to grab him with some help from the plants.
Benji, like most Zigzagoon, especially at his age, is hyper. It takes all of the team and some convincing thanks to food or playtime in order to keep him in check at all times. He's perhaps one of the first times that Elizabeth ever felt worried about her ability to raise someone so rambunctious. Nonetheless, this is matched purely by his ability to be loving and affectionate. He seems to be really good at digging, and so Mary has him do the trenches and furrows for the Berry fields. He's just as hyper in battle as he is in his daily life, meaning he moves faster than a speeding bullet. Or tries to.
Willow was actually found in Aselia Farms, and he just got caught because of the fact that his house was there. Elizabeth didn’t see the need to move him, and the Bidoof didn’t see an issue with his “owner.”
Willow was named because of the trees that hang around the water. He’s the Lakemaster and Rivermaster of the Farm, and he manages most, if not all, of the waters in the Farm. He’s ridiculously mellow, and could care less about what happens as long as his dam is not messed with and the waters are not polluted. All the Pokemon in the farm seem to avoid him, and he has somehow been accused of “evil,” but Elizabeth doesn’t see it. But he’s very, very evil. In battle, his ability allows him to battle in his own way and style.

Matthew was bought by Elizabeth after a nice deal was cut to her. She didn’t really know what she was getting into when she bought him, but she guesses that it could have been worse.
Matthew does not listen. Matthew doesn’t care. Matthew is the owner of the fields and the only reason Elizabeth is let into them is because Marble has whipped him into shape. He’s not respectful, he’s not dealing with visitors, and he’s not caring about farmwork or responsibilities. He’s going to graze and do his thing and no one is going to stop him except that scary cow mother. He also cares a lot about Epona. He and Elizabeth often don’t get along, but he secretly likes the fact that she’s willing to take his bullshit, pun intended, and so while he’ll normally ignore her, he’ll listen to her in battle. Battle, in which, he smashes into whatever he needs to.

Gaia was caught some time back in a swarm, when Elizabeth realized that she needed a Diglett for field work and farm work. She put up a fight, but a brave little Crescendo managed to defeat her.
Gaia bobs up and down Aselia Farms, happily doing her farm work and mastering her given task - digging. Her job is to fertilize the fields by moving the soil, and dig furrows to plant crops in, and Gaia loves her job, since it's so easy for her. Mary and her carry a very loving relationship, and from what Elizabeth can understand, Gaia was taken in to be Elizabeth's heir and Lady-In-Waiting. Gaia is normally chipper and polite, but don't step on her. Elizabeth is yet to figure out what's under the dirt, and she probably never will - nonetheless, she learned to carry a large pot of dirt around when planning to use Gaia in battle, just in case the battlefield doesn't provide ground.

Helios is a little shy one, and he doesn’t see much light outside the barnhouse in which he’s housed himself. He goes out to meet Marble every other day to get some food and Moo Moo Milk, as well as to do some assigned Farm Work if that’s needed. But he doesn’t like… others. It’s not that he’s afraid of them, and it’s not that he hates them, he’s just so unbelievably awkward that he would just rather not deal. Any that fall off, he perches onto his “boughs” to make him seem more Berry Tree like. He makes a fine fake, until it rains, in which case he runs to the barn house and stays there. Morticia… She was “bought.” That’s a weird term to think about, but she technically was. Though, then again, Morticia didn’t really know about this, and she was glad to be given to Elizabeth.
Morticia is known as the “cuddly death” of the Farms, and everyone treats her as such. Most of the Pokemon, with exceptions of Pokemon like Colette or Marble, or Elizabeth herself, treat her with a serious case of “let’s not piss her off.” Surprisingly enough, Morticia is quite polite and well-meaning, as long as you’re not confusing, or accidentally trip her. Her blindness doesn’t seem to bother her, mainly because wards like Carbonaro or Marble are pretty good at guiding her. She’s not that into battling, mainly because she’s blind.
