WE SWAM
AMONG THE
NORTHERN LIGHTS
Rhafiel's hand was wrapped around a cup of hot chocolate, thankfully made without any milk (he asked specifically for a cup without), huddled under his fluffy, grey winter coat. He had pushed his red scarf down ages ago, especially when his hot chocolate had taken up his attention. Nyx sat in the snow next to him, a cute little hat with ear holes placed on her head. She wore a fluffy jacket and little booties to keep her paws warm. It would almost be comical if she didn't look so utterly content and warm in her winter clothes.
On his other side was his Amaura. Rime had been so excited to see that there was snow on the ground when they had reached Polar Point that she had kindly let herself out of her Pokeball. She gazed about excitedly, just wanting to run and roll in the snow. However, there were way too many people to be able to get away with it. Safely, anyway. Instead, she sat faithfully next to her trainer, jittering with excitement rather than cold. They would get moving sometime, right? Then she'd be free to run and roll about all that she wanted.
Bringing his cup to his lips, Rhafiel took a slow sip of his coco, humming to himself as Rime nudged against him, looking up at him with big, wide, adorable eyes. "You want some hot chocolate, Rime?" Rhaf asked with a small chuckle, reciving a quick shake of the head. "Chocolate in general?" he mused, getting the most excited nod ever. He reached back into the side pocket of his bag, grabbing a piece of candy that he unwrapped and handed to the Amaura. He slipped a treat to Nyx, patting her head lightly.
He was supposed to be meeting a few of the other Interpol Agents here. Apparently there was a Bingo game that they would be playing and someone, he really didn't remember who, had suggested that they all do it together. Rhafiel really wasn't one to reject a few hours of downtime, especially when it was in the snow. Winter was his favorite season, after all. He stood up on his tiptoes just a bit, leaning on his cane to see if he could spot the white hair of Engel (he doubted it. The albino giraffe blended in with everything.) or even Ace. He even reached out for Mihael's aura, knowing that he'd be able to lock onto it in a split second if it were near.
Rhafiel gave a slight huff, looking down toward Nyx, "They're all late. You'd think that being Interpol they would learn to be at least remotely punctual."
Nyx purred with amusement, 'You're usually way more patient than this, Rhafiel.'
"Oi. I am being patient," he argued back, staring at his Liepard who was looking more and more amused by the second. Rhafiel wasn't even paying attention to anyone around him as he prattled on to his Pokemon.
'Oh, sure. That's why you're complaining about tardiness,' the smug response came a few moments later.
Rhaf scowled, but another nudge from Rime kept him from arguing further with Nyx. A smile appeared on his lips and he shook his head at the Amaura. No, he wasn't going to get into a real yelling match here, even though he could feel that's what she was worried about.
