Contrary to what Josh initially believed, Izumi knew that Dragon Dance would still persist even after what felt like a long span of time—and the moment the flames flickered and finally died out with a spluttering noise, she then felt the ground… wait a second, why was it trembling?! She then caught sight of the bigger version of Fawkes suddenly stomping down and was the origin of the tremors—it was Earthquake! “Ravvie! Move! That’s going to kill you! Jump and use Flamethrower to propel yourself into the air and get away from the incoming flames!” she screeched, feeling the ground shake and quake rather ominously. Over at where the Charmeleon stood, feeling all the power coursing through her body, she heard her Trainer’s rather surprised shriek, and then felt the ground trembling underfoot—she had no time! The longer she stayed on the ground, the more the chance of her falling prey to the Earthquake that was now shaking the entire place would eat her alive—and quick as her boosted Speed would allow, quickly took a flying leap in the air, seemingly somersaulting (it was an unrehearsed move, to be fair) and quickly turning her head back towards the ground, before breathing out a stream of flames in order to be able to propel herself much higher; to keep her safe from the tremors! Of course, the fires from Flamethrower had collided with the incoming Fire-type attack that Josh had blasted; but she wasn’t going to let Ravana land without doing something. “Keep off the ground as much as you can! Then go and use Thunder Punch!” she continued; watching the airborne Charmeleon as she literally flew through the airspace, propelled closer by the flames. She knew that she had little time; but what time she had left was going to be ticking away; and the moment she saw that her Charmeleon was flailing through the air; before trying to correct her sudden ‘flight path’ and came screaming down on the Charizard with an electrified fist! Ravana: +6 Atk, +6 Spd Jump+Flamethrower to dodge both Earthquake and Fire Pledge (the dodge counts as one move); then attempts to veer in close and uses Thunder Punch! "Stop"

Josh would call this out calmly, yet firmly, as Izumi would launch her attacks. Fawkes had been inches away from launching a vicious counterattack with full intent of ending this right then and there. "There is no more that we can gain from this sparring session, Izumi. I did what I did because I wanted to foster the bond between you and Ravana. Continuing this battle could risk your Charmeleon losing control" He would speak, cracking his neck. "Fawkes, you did great. Go have a good rest" Josh said as he would walk over to the Charizard and put a hand on it's shoulder. Fawkes would nod and head to the river for a drink.

Josh would smile faintly at Izumi, and nod at her and Ravana. "Good. I think that spar has served it's purpose. Shall we go another round?" He would ask Izumi with a small smile. "I have another Pokemon with me that I would like to train. Fawkes doesn't need it. Is there any other Pokemon you would like to train with me? Sparring could be healthy for them both" He would offer.

Ravana was now screaming in the air, one of her fists crackling with electricity—when this time it was Josh who had called a temporary halt to the madness that was about to unfold. She could tell that the bigger version of Fawkes was also just about ready to unload a nasty attack as well; she then put two fingers into her mouth and let a shrill blast escape from her lips; which then caused the incoming Charmeleon to crash down on the ground and end up punching the dirt instead. “Sorry about that, Ravvie,” she began, watching as the bipedal lizard pulled himself up with a rather disgruntled look on her face before turning around and heading towards her Trainer, a bit upset that she wasn’t able to put all that pent-up energy to good use. “Maybe next time. Don’t hold it against Fawkes, okay?” she muttered, giving the Charmeleon a reassuring pat on the head before walking over to where Josh was. Seeing that he’d offered her another sparring round, she then remembered that she had several… well, quite a lot that needed exercise of the physical kind. She’d already gone over the usual stuff with Yuki, and she just needed to get him more used to battling in the wild. “I… Josh, what kind of a question is that,” she retorted, folding her arms across her chest and shooting him a devious-looking grin. “You know as much as I do that I still have a ton of ‘mons to train and fully evolve, and I scale that one at a time. How about… a two on two thing then?” she continued, hoping that the offer would work on him. “It’s a hell of a lot faster if we train more than one at a time, right? Plus potential team mate scouting, too,” she added, before realizing that she’d only brought Ravana with her, and nobody else. “Well, crap. Let me retrieve the ‘mons I want to use; wait right here, okay?” she said a few moments later, suddenly realizing that she’d forgotten to bring an entire party of six with her. “Be right back, okay?” she added, quickly whistling and watching as a large shape then flew down; it was her Braviary. “Don’t move from that spot, Josh!” she added, before giving Sora a pat and whisking her back towards the Ranch so that she could get the ‘mons she had in mind… WORDS 406 TAGS Josh Dragomir NOTES Next thread, then?
