After a few days had passed, Izumi decided that it was high time for them to try out their luck once again in the Ruins. She knew that Josh was in a bad mood, and had decided to call off the next trip until his mood had changed for the better—or at least he was more amicable to be around with. Now that a few days of waiting had passed, and she presumed that he was feeling much better, she then left another voice mail message on his mobile phone to come join her at the Ruins once he was able to. She had no idea what he was doing at the present, but she hoped that his foul disposition had evaporated and he was in for another round of pawing through the musty, damp old Ruins.
Knowing that there was no cell signal reception this far out from civilization, she’d left the note before going on the long trek to the place, and by the time she’d finally arrived at the Ruins, all bundled up against the cold weather, her legs were sore from all the walking—she’d almost skidded and tripped on thin ice several times as well. Wondering where he was at the moment, she then began to whistle out of boredom, hoping that she didn’t attract any sort of unwanted, or rather unexpected, attention. Right… I know his mood’s been off the rocker for a few days. I hope he’s recovered now, she mused to herself as she waited for her partner-in-crime to show up so they could start searching.

Josh still wasn't happy about the this month's digs, but Izumi wanted to go again, might as well go again. While he wasn't as angry, he was obviously still a bit irritated about the whole thing. If he couldn't find anything this time? Well, he just might destroy the damn ruins they find. He was upset, for sure. And there wasn't much that could be done about it. Josh would sigh as he would make his way there, this time via motorcycle. He didn't feel like taking a Pokemon mount this time. This time, he just brought Lightning and a few Pokeballs with him. While he didn't look as upset as he was before when he did arrive, Josh obviously still wasn't as excited as he should be.
No cell signal was expected as he would pull up and make his way to the appointed meeting place with Izumi. He would breath as he eyed her and nodded. Lightning, riding on his shoulder, looked a bit worried too.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found LEVTOVERS! You found some leftovers from the previous diggers, clean it up and keep in mind the recyclables!

It didn’t take too long for Izumi to stumble across something…and that something was the start of what appeared to be another long day of searching out here in the Ruins. “Ugh, gross!” she said with a sibilant hiss, quickly plucking up the half-rotten core of an apple and holding it up, the better for Josh to be able to examine it. “Look at that. Who would leave their garbage out here in the place anyway? Total disrespect…” she continued with a growling, somewhat ominous tone as she then slowly but methodically pulled out a small plastic bag and then dropped the offending apple core into it. “Can’t have them littering up the place now, can we…” she began with an eye roll to the heavens, before tying it up and just…leaving it there.
“If you see anything, try to get it out of the way at least?” she said with an exasperated tone in Josh’s direction—wondering if he could feel the waves of aggression rolling off of her right now at their first find. “Hope we can get better things in the next few feet or so…” she continued, staring down at the inky blackness, before starting to paw around the overturned and fallen rubble, trying to pick out if there was something of general interest squished within the cracks, hidden from view. She knew that the other explorers were cunning, hiding their finds in all sorts of weird places (she’d heard the story from some of the crew that she was on speaking terms with) and that was kind of a tip-off for her, at the very least.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found WISE GLASSES! Looks like another digger lost their glasses in the dig. Lucky you these are just for show, so you can probably sell them off or keep them for yourself to make yourself look smart?

Josh couldn't help but snicker a bit when Izumi would find the leftovers from another explorer. He started laughing even harder when Izumi went all neat freak environmentalist on him! "Wait, did you really bring a bag for the oft chance that someone dropped apple cores in here?" He would ask, bewildered but obviously amused at what she had done. When did Izumi become such a fanatic about the environment?
"Well, let's hope that-"
Crack.
He rolled his eyes. Great, he knew what that was. "Looks like your litterer dropped his glasses" He said irritably, holding up the broken glasses that had been shattered under the hell of Josh's steel-toed boots. "Probably deserves it at this point" He would add as he would toss the broken glasses into Izumi's bag as well. "There you go, paranoid wife. More junk for your bag" He snarked before he would continue on. Hopefully the next find would be better.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found a RELIC STATUE! A stone figure made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

“You know, what with all the weird, crazy accidents that we always seem to run into, I thought, why not literally clean up after them instead,” she began with a rather sniffy air, crinkling her nose in disgust as she then heard him step on something that snapped with a rather loud, very ominous-sounding crack. She then wheeled around just in time to see him holding another pair of crushed glasses, half the frame housing just a lower half of cracked glass—the other lens was completely gone. “Talk about major unlucky,” she said with a sympathetic noise, before getting another plastic bag and then holding it out to him, the better for him to dispose of it later.
As they continued to walk along, Izumi still taking the lead, she then continued, “What do you think, has our luck gone sour now?” before gesturing at the part of the Ruins where they were located. “This place must’ve been already picked—“she trailed off when she felt her right foot suddenly stub itself against something, which then soared through the air before coming down with a loud, ominous-sounding smashing noise. “OW! What the fuck?!” she yelped, hopping on the spot, holding her right foot up—because seriously, even if she was wearing boots, the jarring sensation was quite sharp. “The hell was that?!” she continued, still hopping around before leaning on one of the walls in order to recover herself.
After managing to recover a few minutes later, she then cautiously ventured forward, hearing more crunching noises underfoot—it was only when she crouched down she saw the shards of something she thought had been stamped out of existence. “Oh, I did not just…” she groaned, before rolling her eyes skywards and smacking a palm to her forehead out of sheer stupidity.

Josh would raise an eyebrow as Izumi would suddenly step on something, start screaming and then find out that it was junk. He couldn't help but laugh a bit at the sight. "Whoa, Izumi. Calmer down" He said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "And why the hell are you complaining?" He would ask, eyebrow raised when she brought up her dwindling luck. "YOU found something good last time, I went home with a piece of junk" He stated flatly. "Seriously, I can buy Moon Stones for like 35 bucks. Finding one here for me is absolutely useless" He added.
He sighed, before they came to a set of crossing paths. They had to pick one. Josh would scratch his head. "Which to take... Wait, I know!" He said as he took out a Pokeball. "Go, Buddy!" He called as a Houndour would pop out of his Pokeball. "Arrr!" He would let out, wagging his tail as he looked up at Josh. Friendly little guy, it seemed. "Alright, Buddy. I need you to see if you can find anything of value in here" He said. Buddy would bark in response and start sniffing around. Josh would casually lean against Izumi with a smirk. "This guy will find something, I'm sure. He's not always right but... He usually is" He said as the Houndour would suddenly stop, bark and run ahead into the right passage. "He's got a lead, let's follow him!" He said to Izumi as he would hurry and run after Buddy.
Buddy would lead them on quite the chase before stopping in front of an opening that was covered in thick vines, all over the place, even within it. "Hmm.." Josh said, scratching his beard. "I wonder... Buddy, use Flamethrower!" He would command. "DOUUUURRRRR!" Buddy would let out as he would unleash a barrage of flames into the vines, burning them to cinders. At the end of the chamber they had discovered was a podium with a strange orb on it. Buddy would run ahead, barking before snatching it up in his mouth. He would eagerly bring it back to Josh, dropping it in his hand. He couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Aw, it's covered in slobber. But you did good, you found us a Mega Stone, Buddy" He said as he would wipe it off and pocket it. "Good job!" He said as he would pat the Houndour on the head. "AROOOOO!" He would suddenly howl, before being engulfed in a bright light!
"Huh?" Josh let out as he stepped back a bit. In front of their very eyes, Buddy would slowly transform... And as the light faded, it would show... Buddy had evolved into Houndoom!
"Arooooo!" Buddy would howl, wagging his doberman-like tail. Josh laughed and patted his head. "Hey! You evolved! I remember when you were just a little puppy, hiding behind Fawkes" He said as he would sit on his knees and start patting his "puppy", who was "ha-ha-ha"ing with his tongue out.

Izumi chuckled as she then watched a Houndour make its appearance. Unlike all other Houndour that she’d normally seen and made out to be absolutely evil little things that bit just as hard as they barked, this one wasn’t as… bad-tempered as most; in fact it was behaving much like a normal puppy! “Whoa… hey, what the hell?” she continued, following the exploits of the cute little Houndour—and as the canine brought back something that looked very familiar to her, a bright light poured out of the cute little canine! Shielding her eyes as she knew that this was a very unusual time—and place—for a Pokémon to evolve, she then blinked once the lights show was over…
And there it was, the evolved form of the cute little thing earlier—and instead of toughening up, he still continued to behave much like his earlier form. “Awww, isn’t he the cutest… can I pet him?” she asked her companion before approaching the bigger version of Houndour—when she heard something crack and crunch underfoot. “Aw, hell no. now look what you did…” she remarked, stopping and then picking up the pair of what she was already familiar with at this point… “I think you cursed my luck, you nasty sassmaster,” she remarked, showing him the broken frame of the pair she’d managed to destroy this time around. Sighing, she then tossed it behind her as she continued to give the Houndoom (not that she knew what this one was called yet) a reassuring ear scratch.

It didn’t take too long before Izumi’s trail of misfortune would continue; after giving the newly-evolved bigger version of Josh’s Houndour a good petting and head-scratching session, she plunged deeper into the ruins, hoping that she would be able to find something of value. But it was as if someone up in the heavens was conspiring and conniving against her; just as she decided to inspect another one of the rooms that looked promising, she heard another cracking noise underfoot and came to a stop. “Oh, hell no. Really?” she began, crouching down and plucking out another pair of busted frames. The glass in this one was almost gone, shattered to the point of no return; while the other one still had a whole piece of lens.
“No, seriously, Joshua, I think you jinxed me this time,” she muttered as she tossed the broken pair of glasses over her shoulder once again and shook her head. She could only guess as to why she was being bombarded with such terrible luck today—but who knew what else was waiting in store for her as she pulled herself into the room proper and began looking around—it looked like any other room, except for the glaringly obvious fact that there were ancient…murals sketched into the rock all around, from floor to ceiling. “Hey, J, come in here and take a look at this,” she trailed off, pointing at the mural that seemingly stretched around the entire room, showing sceneries from a time she didn’t understand nor comprehend.
