Josh would follow Izumi up the hill to find one of the most peculiar of sights. A pile of berries, perhaps even a fucking mountain! "What the hell are these guys going to do, eat them all?" he asked, looking at the mountain of berries and shaking his head as he watched the other two Pokemon continue collecting them. "You guys are going to get sick. And then you're not going to have anymore berries to eat" he warned, shaking his head. "They take awhile to grow. You can't just collect them and expect to have more before they grow back" he said, giving a sigh. "You're lucky berries grow incredibly fast around here...." he muttered, giving a facepalm.
"I wonder how they'd do if they met my grass types?" He asked. "I could do another roundup, if you like. Your choice though" he said, giving a casual shrug as he looked over at Izumi.

“Feel free to go ahead and get them to join us here. I have a suspicion they’re planning something…” she began, chuckling as the mound grew larger—and so did the assembled ring of Pokémon who were busy watching the pile grow larger. At first it was just her Grass-types who were convening around the circle—but then, as she looked around, she could see various more ‘mons coming in for the little gathering; the Fire-types were now making their way over in one big group, three Typhlosion and a Combusken leading the parade; while the Flying-types were suddenly swooping in and coming down for a two-point landing near where the Grass-types were sunning themselves. Some of the younger Dragon-types had also decided to drop by, to check out what was going on—because apparently, the Tropius she’d sighted was flying back and forth, spreading news about some sort of “food fest” going on in the meadows. The other Water-types that could walk (and take being out of the water for extended periods of time) were also drifting in; and there were others coming out of the woodwork too!
Izumi could only blink as the pile continued to grow larger—and this time there were actual fruits being hauled in by some of the stronger, buffer Rock-types; hell she could see that her Tyranitar and Excadrill were pushing several crates full to the brim with apples; all in various stages of ripeness. The Onix was now ferrying some of the baby Pokemon back and forth; dropping them off near the circle—and the assortment of Pokemon that had gathered was steadily growing; and if Josh came back sometime later, he’d notice that there was now a rather large variety of creatures who were seated on the grass; or pacing, or otherwise waiting in a circular formation; most of the assembled ones were hers; while some of them were Kouji’s helping out with the huge picnic-like gathering they were about to do! In the middle of it all, Izumi was now seated on the grass, the Fletchling on her shoulder chirruping sweet songs; to which the Swablu joined in, the two creating a round harmony that caused all the Pokémon to stop and listen.

Josh would nod a bit. "Alright. Yknow, since they're gathering EVERYONE... I might as well let out the Pokemon I brought with me. The six on my belt I mean. Well, the ones not already out" he said with a shrug. "I already see Inferno with his family, and Lightning is with me" he said, referring to the Pikachu on his shoulder. "Alrught guys, cmon out" he said as he brought out a few more Pokemon. First was Fawkes, Josh's Charizard. The 8 foot tall Charizard would look curiously at the food pile. Up next was Bastilo, Josh's Blastoise. He smirked a bit and patted Bastilo on the head. "Aye, my Wartortle evolved" he said with a laugh. Up next was a Piplup and Oshawott respectively, both who looked rather young. "These two are new. Just hatched awhile back" he admitted.
Josh would motion for them to go ahead and join the festivities before he would let Lightning hop off his shoulder to do so as well while Josh went to go and visit the PC. He would return with Pokeballs in his pack and sit beside Izumi, looking around at the "music" from the Pokemon and the crowd that had gathered. "Quite the uh... Crowd you got" he said, scratching his head. "Next time, I should just bring all 120 of my 'mons" he joked with a laugh. "It would be nice if we could bring all our Pokemon together one day... But I don't know how" he said, in an epic show of foreshadowing. "Anyway, here's my grass types" he said as he would toss the Pokeballs from the bag, catching them on the rebound after they let out the Pokemon inside.
A Treecko, Terry would appear first. Then Bubbles, the Oddish that had started all that trouble for Inferno quite some time ago. Then Ceres, Josh's Bulbasaur. As well as Littlefoot, his Tropius. Then Durian, his Ferroseed. And then out came Griflet, his very young Turtwig. A baby, to be frank. And then of course, out came Kaz, his Belsprout. Not to mention Michael, Miya and Mila, his three inseparable Maractus. Josh would smile at them all before allowing them to join in these festivities too.
"Yeah... Sorry I don't have a whole lot of grass Pokemon" he said with a small laugh.

Izumi then watched with much interest as the other Pokemon hit the grassy earth; and she was very much surprised to see that there was now a Blastoise in their ranks. “Heh, now I’m jealous of that. That reminds me, I better get to raising up my Squirtle. I don’t want to get left behind, you know,” she continued with a grin, before watching him move off—all of this had happened earlier; and now that she was in the center of the circle, surrounded by a whole lot of Pokemon, she could only chuckle. As Josh’s own Grass-types finally entered the circle, she could only snort out loud, cutting off the Swablu and Fletchling—albeit temporarily. Seeing that there was a bunch of cacti headed their way, she could only crack a grin, before calling out, “Come on down, the grass is fine,” while reaching for one of the crates that her Excadrill had apparently shoved over a lot closer so that she could extract a red, lusciously ripe, apple. “Well, it was their idea in the first place… but… wouldn’t that be nice, all of our own ‘mons together in one spot, running wild and free…” she agreed, apparently foreshadowing something in the near future as well!
She continued to see more and more of her own ‘mons converging—the Onix was acting as transport, dropping off most of the Water-types who could walk and stay out of the water; there were other last-minute stragglers coming in to complete the circle; mostly her Fighting; as well as Ice types. As the Ice-types began to converge, one of them (the Snover) suddenly brought on a sudden gust of cold wind; to which the other Grass-types reacted with Sunny Day—they didn’t want to spend the rest of the party all frozen up now, did they. Izumi then took a bite of her apple; before fishing around the crate and chucking out two of the reddest, plumpest apples she’d gotten her hands on. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the Electric-types were also beginning to converge, led by her Electivire with the black lightning, as well as the Ampharos who was feeling all sassy. “Yeah. They all want to meet you in person…” she continued with a chuckle; and once everyone (at least the ones who were present) had assembled, she then stood up, whistling a shrill blast a few times to make the hubbub calm down.
“Alright, guys, listen up. I know you’re planning on having a party, but I’d want to introduce you first to someone… someone quite special. Now, I know some of you still miss the redhead—and no, it’s not the one that I’m working for in Kalos, but the other one—most of you young ones don’t know about him, but some of the oldest ones do,” she trailed off, sneaking a look and seeing that her Braviary, along with her Gardevoir, Hydreigon and Empoleon had decided to join in on this little get-together—“…in any case, everyone… I’d like you to formally be introduced to Josh. Now, now, don’t breathe fire all over him or try to douse him in water. He means no harm, no harm at all. Feel free to ask Arashi, Hayato, Vincent or Zira,” she continued, naming her own Typhlosion, Grotle, Lucario and Combusken—they’d all seen him in action one time or another. “Now, get started with the Berry Bonfire!”
At that signal, the other Fire-types then approached the pyramid of berries, before quickly beginning to toast the entire mound, slowly but surely. The others then jostled towards the pyramid in order to help out, using their own appendages; mostly vines and extended arms—in order to pluck Berries from the slightly flaming pyramid. It wasn’t too hot to the touch, and the berries were flying off the top and sides in due order; all of them choosing a few to munch on to pass the time.

Josh chuckled a bit. "Aye, you gotta get to work to catch up to Bastilo" he joked cheekily. "All our Pokemon in one place..." He agreed quietly. "That would be great" he said as he noticed his Pokemon socializing with Izumi's during this little bonfire. "They've already become friends by the looks of it. It's going to be a shame when they all have to go back" he said, scratching his head and sighing.
More and more of Izumi's Pokemon frequented the area and Josh tilted his head. "Are you sure they're here to meet me? Or are they just here for the bonfire of berries you're setting up here?" He snarked with a casual shrug. It looked more like they were hungry then they were eager to meet Josh. And then Izumi introduced him to her Pokemon, and he just casually waved. That was a lot of Pokemon to meet... But as Izumi announced for the bonfire to begin, her Pokemon got to work. Even Josh's Pokemon, such as Inferno, Fawkes and Ceres, began helping out!

“Well, I know most of them are… wait let me get you inducted in proper order…” she began with another cheeky grin on her face as she then whistled; and all semblance of activity had stopped. The fire-types continued to roast the berries for their own benefit; but the rest looked up at her as she waved her hands, holding a half-eaten apple. “Guys. GUYS! I know you all want to eat, but we have a guest of honor here! Try not to overwhelm the other faces you see in the crowd… and if you’re not too shy, come on over, okay? Josh here doesn’t bite at all,” she began, to which some of the others chuckled in their own language; or otherwise snorted derisively. As if on cue, the original Grass-types that had assembled around the pyramid then made their way over to where Josh and his own Grass-types were assembled; keen on meeting fellow cohorts that shared their type.
“Let me introduce you in order…” she said, noticing that most of the Grass-types were starters, approaching her with a lot of…eagerness. “Bulbasaur’s called Ariadne, the Treecko’s Iris; the Grotle you’re already familiar with, so let’s skip ahead to… Blossom and Plume, the Oddish,” she continued, watching as the two seemingly similar Oddii approached the other Oddish who was nicknamed Bubbles; and the three were apparently hitting it off. “Snivy’s called Tsuru, the Deerling’s name is Lily—don’t ask why her coat looks like that, it was that way when I got her—the Cacnea’s called Narya, while the shiny Petilil over there? That’s Sukuna,” she continued, before seeing that the other Water-types were now converging on her as well! “You already know Ry, the Gyara—but the Squirtle over there, beside the Milotic? That’s Oceanus. The Milo’s name is Mariko; vain little creature that she is—and the second Mudkip you see there is Shuyin, that’s Kei’s kid—the one beside the Swampert,” she pointed out, to where the mother and son Mudkip / Swampert were now apparently juggling some berries as a form of entertainment!
“The Empoleon, that’s Nixe—she’s my very first Water-type, so she’s got this ‘big sister complex’ that me and Kouji have noticed… the Oshawott and the Froakie that are squabbling over there are Rakka and Sakura, respectively. I believe that one of Sakura’s Froakie siblings is with you?” she remembered, stopping to think and trying to consult the complex “family tree” that Kouji had given her sometime ago. “The others are in the water—that’s mainly Jaws and Karitt; my Carvanha and Horsea respectively. I blame the movie ‘Jaws’ for my Carvanha’s name,” she continued with a chuckle—before she felt something apparently trying to get her attention at this point. “Ohhh, you two… come over here,” she said, picking up the two Pichu in one fell swoop and then showing them to Josh. “Meet the twins, Kira and Hibana. They love apples. They’re never going to hear the end of it unless you feed ‘em. Now, now, you two. Don’t zap Josh. He has a Pikachu…” she said, warning the two cute little Pichus.
There was a slight buzzing in the air not too far ahead; and she then chuckled, “Oy, Magnuto’s at it again. He already shorted out an entire Pokémon Center’s circuit board before… and the Ampharos chasing after it? That’s Erya. Fulmine you already know; and the weird EleFish that’s about to—HEY! TYRFIN! Don’t dive into the pile!” she shouted; seemingly glowering not too far away at a divebombing Eelektrik; who’d just hit the pile of roasted Berries and sent them skywards. “Oy. That’s Tyrfin, my rambunctious Eelektrik. The Shinx and Electrike, that’s Raimei and Raikiri respectively. If you’d notice… the Electrike has bite marks around its head… that’s mostly Makara’s fault—that’s my Houndour, by the way…” she trailed off, seeing that one of the Fire-types who was now crunching on some roasted Berries was giving the Electric dog a withering glare—or something along those lines. “I know there were several more… HEY! NO FIGHTING!” she shouted, walking forward to check out a scuffle not too far from the little food fest.

Josh couldn't help but sigh and laugh a bit as Izumi brought even MORE of her Pokemon from this little berry roasting and munching festival over for introductions. Fucking christ, this woman could give Yumi a run for her money. Alas, he smiled as he would politely greet all the Pokemon that she introduced him to.
"Is it related to my Oshawott as well?" He would inquire when she introduced her Oshawott. "I believe your Empoleon is to my Piplup as well ,but I can't be 100% sure" he added. When she inquired as to if her Froakie was related to his, he shrugged. "You mean my Greninja, Espio?" He asked. Espio had grown up fast, it seemed. Or at least had been trained a bit more then Izumi's Froakie. Had to break it to her eventually, he supposed. Josh had been busy training lately, putting quite a bit of time aside for training younger Pokemon in order to have a well rounded roster of monsters.
He smiled a bit when she brought over her Pichu. "They're adorable" He said. "I have five or six of them back at the ranch. They're a hoot... And a handful" he added with a grin.
Josh would remain silent and let Izumi handle the squabbling Pokemon... Luckily for Josh, the more veteran Pokemon like Fawkes, Inferno, Vulcan and Lightning usually kept the peace in the ranch when fighting was going. Maybe Izumi needed to teach them some discipline and leadership, hers, I mean.

“I believe so. Most of your ‘starters’ are, in one way or another, related to mine in some way. Like the Typhlosion family for instance,” she began with another grin on her face, after taking a bite of the apple she had in her hands and downing it in mere seconds. Once he’d mentioned that his Froakie was now its final evolved form, a line of concern formed on her brow, before it went up so high, threatening to vanish into her hairline. “Ohh, so that’s where you’ve been all this time. Busy with all the others, training non-stop. No wonder sometimes you don’t answer my calls,” she said with a genial grin; before she walked over to where another fight was breaking out. As she made her way to the scene, she then saw that the Poliwrath was there, along with a Hitmonlee who was currently watching two of the younger ones duke it out: a Makuhita and a Pancham, rough-and-tumbling as they were.
“Oyyy, J. Sorry if my fighting-types are stirring up trouble. They always tend to do that,” she began, resisting the urge to smack a palm to her face—because her arms were loaded with the two Pichu who were now seemingly conversing in their Pichu language. “Alright… HEY GUYS! Cut that out for a few minutes, why don’t you?” she began; and the scuffle then came to a rolling stop—and then a Lucario, seemingly out of nowhere, had his paws crossed and was shaking his head in disapproval. “Vince, I know. You tried. Points for effort, though,” she began, and the Luca then nodded; before beginning to walk alongside them. “Vince and Jet, you already know. Let me get you introduced to Bruce,” she began, gesturing at the Hitmonlee—who was looking for a fight as well, before continuing, “…the Mienfoo’s Asuka, the Pawniard is Lucy—short for Lucifer; sadistic little disobedient snot that he is…while the Makuhita is Dorma. She’s the sweetest girl of the bunch. As for the Pancham and Heracross… well, technically I haven’t given them names yet. So I kind of need some help there,” she admitted sheepishly; and all the aforementioned who were called stepped forward, before giving a rather rehearsed bow of greeting in Josh’s direction.
“Heh, Vince… nice touch, teaching them manners,” she continued as she chuckled in the Lucario’s direction, and the jackal Pokémon could just nod rather fervently. Just then, a Scyther then seemingly zipped in front of them, before making with a bow in the blonde’s direction before dashing off again. “That’s Kimiko, I got her from Yumi. Sweet little Scyther that she is, but she’s absolutely ferocious in battle,” she added with a grin as she watched the blur zip off to join the other Fighting-types who then began to get all rowdy again. “Sheesh, even with Vincent leading them, they’re still crazy,” she said, gesturing at the scene in general.

"Hmm.... Which of my starters, as well as my rares, are related to yours?" Josh would ask curiously, tilting his head. He scratched his beard, which oddly enough, he'd trimmed since their last meeting. Guess he was cutting down on the scruff to look good. "Let's see.... Uhh.... Inferno, for sure" He said with a laugh as he motioned to the Typhlosion who was with his family. "My Greninja, Espio. One of my Axews, I think. "My Turtwig... Lancelott, my Oshawott.... My Piplup, Lamorak..." He railed off, naming two Pokemon with Knights Of The Round Table based names in a row. "Bagon as well. The new one. I think that's all I can think of" he said with a shrug. "Is there any I missed?" He asked, eying her.
He laughed a bit when she quipped about his training. "Oh no, you just like calling me when I'm asleep" he cracked. "Or in the middle of heated battle. But yeah, I've stepped up my training lately. You should come with me" he said with a small smile. He chuckled a bit as she tried to introduce him to more of her Pokemon, despite all the fighting. "They seem like a lively bunch" he admitted. "Gonna have to show you mine all over again.... My collection grew since last time"

“Looks to me that we’ve got both our hands full with things… I’ve also gotten to training everyone else up—well, everyone who wants to get stronger. I still need to convince my Dratini to get with the program, peacekeeper that she is,” she began with a chuckle; before noticing that he’d asked her a question regarding his own ‘mons that had stemmed from her own rather…vast collection. “Well, that’s already a given, the Typhlosion family just got bigger it seems. I think Kouji told me that mama Kaji had three more kids, all Cyndaquils, and that one of them was recently picked up,” she began, remembering the contents of a particular message trail that was sitting in her mobile phone. The topic change got her thinking too, the more they continued to walk around.
“Let me see here…” she trailed off, thinking, before reaching for her ever-trusty note pad and then beginning to scribble notes down in it. “I know that your Froakie and mine are potentially related… the Typhlosion family’s a given. The Turtiwg definitely is, seeing that I now have to get Hayato up to shape… the Oshawott tie is possible, the Piplup I can take a guess… uhh, can you check for Dunamus’ family tree? I have a slight suspicion that he might be related to Kei and Shuyin,” she said, thinking about the many “ties that bind”. After scratching down a few more notes, she then looked up and continued, “Well, I’m pretty sure your Bagon is Gabriel’s kid; your Blaziken and my Combusken are not related—though by extension Zira is related to the Typhlosion family, having been raised by mama Kaji when she was still a rather peculiarly-colored Torchic,” she continued, scribbling down more notes; because in all honesty this was getting rather complicated.
“Can I take a guess and ask if your Bulbasaur is related to Ariadne? I’m not too sure about the Axews, but yeah, find out if yours has Endure. If it does, then say hi to Kiba… and I know that we can’t exactly breed out Garchomp, Hydreigon, Tyranitar and Dratini, according to Kouji—so that rules out Draken, Riku, Ivan and Kairi,” she continued, not realizing that she was now thinking out loud as she went on.

He chuckled a bit. "Yeah, your Dratini could use some training. Maybe fighting alongside some of my dragons might help coax it into a more physical role?" He would suggest. "Seriously, it'd be great to have you come train with me. Just you and me, don't need to bring Maxine or Doug along. We haven't had a real training session by ourselves in ages" he said, chuckling a bit. "I need an excuse to go train my Pokemon anyway. It could be fun" he said, smirking a bit. To her mentioning the new Cyndaquils, he smiled faintly. "Oh really now?" He asked. "Y'know, I wonder how Maxine, speaking of, would enjoy a Cyndaquil, should Kaji have any eggs in the future" He suggested, smirking. "But first, let her raise the gifts we gave her, let her prove she's willing to put the time in before we do that" he added. "Let her earn the right before we do anything like that" He said, chuckling.
He crossed his arms and thought for a moment as she started listing off. "I'm not sure about Dunamus" he admitted. "I could do a background check, but I doubt I'd find anything" he said, sighing a bit. "I really gotta train up my Turtwig... I was letting him live in the ranch a bit before I waited to train him to evolution. I think he's getting close to evolution ready, I think I could start training him soon" he said, smiling a tad.
He shrugged when she mentioned Ceres. "Uhh... Not sure. But if so, then Ceres just had an egg recently. Might be a new member of the family" he said, chuckling a bit. "I can ask Yumi though. She sold me Ceres" he added. "The Axews... I'll look" he said, shrugging. "But I have no background check on the second one. I have no idea where it came from" he added, sighing.

“If you can spare a Dragon who isn’t so volatile that would be much welcomed,” she began, because at this point in time she was just really worried that Kairi would be a Dratini forever, and not experience the big wide world without being impeded by her current form. At the suggestion of another training session, she grinned—and continued to scribble down in her note pad about making these “plans”. “Well, whenever you’re free… I’m game for it. Remember our last one?We got interrupted by that weird contraption…” she continued, remembering the events that had transpired in the Unova region. Sighing, she then looked over the list that she’d scribbled down so far, and then folded the note pad shut. “Let me know if you find out about anything at all about their lineage, okay? I want to keep a track record of all of this,” she continued with a rather devious-looking grin on her face.
At his quip of if there was anything else they needed to check out, she then cracked another grin before whistling a certain chain of notes. It sounded shrill, at first, before the tune suddenly changed and warmed up and turned into something that was border line fabulous… at least according to her. At that chain, there was a rustling—before a sudden mass of brown fur came jostling and rushing her way. “I forgot to introduce you… to my Eevee army. I’ve already got their evolutions picked out, I just need to get out and train them…” as the brown furry mass them came to a stop—before literally jumping all over her, covering her in Eevee fur and shed hair. “Meet five of the nine. Yes, I technically still need around four more to complete the ‘collection’, but I have to train these little buggers first, after all,” she continued as the five Eevee began crowding her for attention—one of them had somehow landed atop her head and refused to go down no matter what; while two of them had somehow clambered on her shoulders.
The last two were mewling in her arms, and if Josh stepped back a bit—he’d see nothing but a girl covered in the cute, furry, genetically unstable mutations that were just goddarned adorable.

He let out a sigh. She hadn't heard him, had she? "I DID mention Gawain, my Dragonite, didn't I?" He reminded her. "He's not dangerous if you don't piss him off. He's a teddy bear" he said, motioning toward the oddly colored (Blue and red) Dragonite that he had let out earlier alongside his other dragons. "But, with time so low and certain forces at work... Maybe we should try regular sparring instead?" He would suggest, totally breaking the fourth wall. "Gotta train our Pokemon SOMEHOW, after all"
"Still, maybe we'll pair your dragon up with one of my younger ones. Maybe we'll make a habit of pairing up Pokemon with their same-form-tiered counterparts. Turtwigs to Chimchars. Grotles to Monfernos. Torterras to Infernapes. Stuff like that" he suggested. "Gives both parties a fair shake at it"
"Yeah... That contraption" he said, scratching his head. "I'll never understand it... But... I don't think we're out of the woods yet with it. Maybe we can take Maxine with us and investigate?" He asked. But with Maxine not being around lately... Maybe not.
Josh would step back, laughing a bit as Izumi was crowded by her Eevee army. "I gotta find more Eevees myself" he admitted. "So many eeveelutions and I've only evolved one out of the two I have"

It was only at this point that Izumi had noticed that his Dragonite wasn’t exactly the color scheme she was expecting it to be—which was a shade of orange and yellows (and a weird, sickly shade of green if it was acquired in its “natural” shiny state) and blinked several times just to make sure she was seeing things correctly. “Wait a second, I thought your Dragonite was the normal coloration—“ she began, before shaking her head; which very nearly caused the Eevee that had perched on her head to fall down; only mewling loudly enough just in time to prevent being shoved off rather unceremoniously from his current perch. “Gah, sorry about that,” she continued, tilting her head up as slightly as she could manage, where the male (or was it female? She could never tell) Eevee was currently hanging on for dear life.
At his suggestion of pairing up ‘mons with the same level of tiered experience, she quickly nodded in approval. “That definitely works. Although, in some cases they might need to go with someone who’s of a higher level than they are, to get to learn how things work, the whole ten yards,” she added, making a mental note of the idea he’d brought up. The moment he’d brought up the topic regarding the weird, strange contraptions, she could only sigh. “Well, I thought having four heads tackling it was better than two. But it looks like we’re down to just two again… hey, at least we can get shit done faster, with us working, right?” she offered, internally chuckling at the speed that they tore through things if they had their heads together and were busy on a project that had their full attention.
“Yeah, these little cuties are all over me, obviously,” she added sometime later, chuckling as the two Eevees on her shoulders began mewling in her direction, wanting to be pet on the head.

He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at her reaction to the coloring of Gawain. "Took you long enough" He commented cheekily with a smirk. "Yeah... Not sure why he's colored like that. He was fine as a Dratini and Dragonair... But when he evolved, he changed to this color. It's strange, really. But I love him all the same" He said with a small smile. "He's quite the powerhouse though. I think he'll prove that he's capable of earning his stripes in the future. Just you watch" He said. "GROOOOO!" Gawain roared in appreciation to Josh's words. Josh smirked when Izumi almost knocked over an Eevee. "Poor thing" he said. "Gotta be more careful"
"Hmm..." He muttered to her suggestion, scratching the beard that he had noticeably trimmed for some reason. "I suppose so. But I'd like to make sure that everyone gets points toward evolving, yknow?
