elcome Adventurer to EPOCH! A Pokemon Sandbox Rp set in the original region of Nue. Everything you need to know will be in the Guidebook and PokeDex 101!
EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.

Sex; When you get under the clothes, fade to black.
Violence; Do not go into extreme nauseating detail.
Cursing; This is so fucking allowed, but don't go overboard.
Suggestive Content; In avatars, signatures and templates can attract the wrong kind of attention. So be careful.

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
Yumi was still shaken, even as she stood strong and proud with the tears disappearing from her eyes, the was a slight tremor in her stance, one it was likely only Ko-ken would pick up it was so faint. She was still worried that her little "speech" of sorts would be discarded as some lie, and even the thought of that hurt her, especially since she had, for once, told someone the truth about her past. As Josh grew closer, Ko-ken unable to see his eyes and Yumi looking at him with eyes of worry, the Sawk stepped closer, ready to interject if something were to go wrong, but he soon ended up giving a look of faint surprise as Josh simply hugged Yumi, leaving the blue fighter taken aback as he had absolutely no clue how to react to the sudden hug, much like Yumi.
Her arms just hung either side of Josh, unsure to hug him back and even shaking a little more just from the surprise of the hug. It was only when he began apologizing that her own arms soon crept around him, tugging softly at the back of his shirt to keep him close in the hug, her chin resting on his shoulder as the last few tears she had left rolled down her cheek. "Heh...d-don't worry about it...all in the past yeah?" She gave a slight chuckle, unable to stop herself from nervously laughing about "the past", the whole reason she was in this mess to begin with. Still, as the hug came to a close, she was wiping her eyes with a wide smile on her face, a last few chuckles slipping out of her as she attempted to calm her nerves.
"G-geeze. Way to make it awkward blondie." She smiled, playfully jabbing his right shoulder with her new smile standing strong. "Didn't your mama tell ya not to make a girl cry? And what was with that hug eh? That musta been at LEAST two minutes over the limit." She couldn't help but make jokes, it was the only way she knew to let Josh know that they were officially okay. In fact, they were probably a whole lot better than okay.

Josh would hold the hug just a little longer, letting his hand rest against her back and glide up and down in an attempt to comfort her. "Heh, all in the past" Josh whispered back to her words, moving his hand down to tickle her side just for a moment before bringing it back to its former position. As the hug came to a close, he couldn't help but chuckle a bit when she started making jokes. He had to resist making a joke about how "Well, girls don't normally come out as former members of Team Rocket either" in response, of course, but he smiled faintly instead of making any sort of crack like that.
He chuckled when she would crack about how long the hug had been. "Hey, I couldn't just leave you to cry" He'd tease with a smirk as he would stick his tongue out at her. "Just be glad I didn't bearhug you instead, you'd be squeaking instead of laughing" He'd joke with a cheeky grin.
"Still... I'm sort of curious" He began. "One more question. It's not bad, I promise. That machine Agatha gave you... Is that to summon some kind of legendary Pokemon? What exactly is going on here?" He would ask. "Obviously you came looking for her to find some kind of legendary Pokemon, gauging by your conversation, but... Please tell me what's going on?"

Yumi just had to roll her eyes at the mention of the bearhug, wondering if Josh even realized she was likely strong enough to do the exact same thing to him. She did train with Ko-ken afterall, and god knew how much of a punch that little tyke could pack. Still, the topic soon returned to the object she had slipped in her back pack moments ago...and this was where it was somewhat hard to explain.
"First off...just so we're clear. I didn't set out for it originally. I wanted to maybe bring Agatha in for her crimes, make up for my past ya know? The moment i met her though..." She gave a soft sigh, rubbing her arm as she glanced away from Josh, dissapointed in herself to an extent. "I knew that wasn't in the cards...she and 3 other powerful trainers once tried to summon a pokemon. Lugia, I think they called it...supposedly, if what she says is true, this thing could do the same...and then...I dunno." She halted in her words, rubbing the back of her neck somewhat awkwardly. "I want to leave my name on the world someway that isnt "ex-rocket". I wanna be the girl that brought in Agatha or captured a legendary...ya know?"

Josh smirked a bit once he released the bearhug. Oh, he wouldn't doubt that Yumi could deliver a bearhug too. Granted, he'd gone easy on her. He'd been learning to... Well, remember his own strength as of late. After he'd nearly crushed Izumi's ribs on accident. Whoopsie. His training was likely similar to Yumi's own, training alongside his Pokemon to better himself. To make himself better capable of handling the harsh conditions that being a Trainer meant going through on a regular basis.
The blonde would listen carefully, nodding along as he did so, when Yumi would talk about the object. "So.... You came here because you thought Agatha would be here for you to challenge her, beat her and bring in in for her apparent crimes? And just so happened to get attacked by ghost and poison types, which so happened to appear to be her specialty, considering the Pokemon she had with her?" He would ask. It was weird actually... That they had become so... Hostile, and had shown up in groups, one of them led by a Gengar that very much resembled the one that Agatha had... It was... Strange. Still, her reasons for wanting to summon Lugia were... Well, misguided, but he understood them. He smiled a bit as he would place his hands on her shoulders.
"Well, let me say something first. By the time your traveling is done, and you settle down with a nice guy... Or girl, I don't judge..." He trailed off with a small smirk. "And trust me, you will. Beautiful women always do" He'd snark. "But my point is, by then... You'll have left your legacy just by being Yumi. You don't need to save this world. Or summon a legendary. You'll be remembered as the Trainer you are, you'll be remembered as Yumi. And to me... That's what matters" He'd say softly.
"But... I know you're adamant on doing this. I can see it in your eyes" He said. "So... Let me help you. Let me come with you for this. I want to see Lugia myself. Not to capture it, or anything to my benefit... If anything, I'd kind of like to make friends with it. It would make my dad proud" He spoke, with a small smile. "What do you say?"

Yumi rose her finger to interupt as Josh began to recount the details of the day, but as she thought on it, yeah, that was essentially what had happened, she even had to chuckle a little at the fact that it had all gone so well in the end, and how she hadn't seen the signs of all the poison types, though, she wasn't entirely sure they were a sign of Agatha either. Afterall, the woman herself had insulted the supposedly wild Gengar and Arbok, so Yumi had assumed they were just wildies, but maybe they were pokemon that could never meet her standards? It was hard for her to put a finger on, but it really was bugging her now. "Heh, seems to be about the gist of it..."
With Josh's kind words that followed however, Yumi could only sigh, running her fingers around the base of her ponytail and scratching abou the back of her head. Josh had good intentions in what he said, but he clearly didn't get it..."Look...I appreciate the help. I really do. And heck, I probably will call you in if I need a hand with this lugia thing but...this isn't about making my name "good", this is about erasing everything I ever did as a rocket. Whether I leave the world with people thinking "yeah, that chick was alright" or not is irrelevant...I need to leave some sorta mark here, something that wipes out the...guilt I feel from the rockets..."
With another soft sigh she looked off into the distance, her pokemon each returning themselves to their balls as Yumi tossed her belt towards Ko-ken, putting it back on the moment everyone par him and Enzo were away. "Thanks for today...honestly. Odds are those poison types woulda outnumbered me eventually and took me out...so...yeah...." With a light chuckle, again trying to lighten her own mood, she raised her hand to Josh, turning her body to show she was about to leave. "See ya around blondie." With offer of one last high five, Yumi turned to hop onto Enzo, Ko-ken hopping on behind, taking off straight for the Kanto mainland, having gotten all they needed from here.

Josh nodded in understanding as she spoke. It was true, the appearance of those "wildies" and their relationship to Agatha was... Suspicious, indeed. But it was dealt with now. He was happy he could have been there, at the very least, to help Yumi out and make sure she got out safely. Through all of this, he was just happy that Yumi was safe and sound. He didn't know what he would have done if he'd allowed her to get hurt like that without doing something about it. It just wasn't in his nature to stand aside and let that kind of thing go on.
"I understand" He said to her words of trying to explain herself. "You're a good girl, Yumi. Deep down, even if you don't think it sometimes with what happened in the past. But... I respect you, I do. In my eyes, you're one of the greatest Trainers I know. And if that's not enough to make a mark... Well... I'll be there to help you make it if you need me" He spoke with a smile.
"Catch you later, Yumi" Josh said quietly as he watched Yumi leave. He would nod to Lightning and walk off, wanting to grab his things before heading back home.
