"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
Yumi smiled as Josh rattled off the number of times he'd been caught in a collisions he had with other pokemon in the past, though as he said, none of them were real moves like shadow ball, so she had at least some right to still be worried about him. "Well so long as your still standing I suppose I can't complain too much..." She took a step closer, lightly patting his arm to get some dust off his sleeve from all the action that had been going on, his next question posing her a bit of a conundrum. "Honestly...no clue. If I had to guess, those Grimer were on a rampage anyway, so they were hardly related to me. But as far as the Gastly and Haunter go...?"
She lowered her head, crossing her arms over her chest and simply taking a moment to think. Tranz and Ko-ken looked over to her, wondering if she was thinking the same thing they may have been, but in the end, all that came from the red head was a simple sigh as she tried to put the pieces together. "They came too fast after the grimer. If I had to assume they were working together...I mean they are both poison types right? That isn't too far a stretch to make in any case."
Resting her arms behind her head, she began walking back to her pokemon. "Whatever the case, we certainly don't wanna be dealing with them again."
Ever since the Haunter had gotten back and informed his big bad boss about what was going on, he thought that his own duty was over…but he thought wrong. As it was, the Gengar was feeling pretty sadistic, and after several minutes of scuffling, the Haunter that had dashed away to inform them about the two “intruders” was snuffed out—mostly because this Gengar was such a sadistic jackass and just wanted to vent out his rage. After hissing between himself and the Arbok (and berating the Arbok’s choice in underlings; what had that Grimer / Muk horde even done right in the first place) the two then decided to head out in order to snuff out the invading parties, once and for all. Now, the thing here was that this Gengar, as well as the Arbok, weren’t just you ordinary, run-of-the-mill, “normal” wild Pokemon. The way they carried themselves, the way they moved—it was well-practiced, after years and years under their “first master”.
After a while, the two were then just… left out in the wild to fend for themselves—yet they could still remember the harsh training they’d endured under human contact. This made them the true “scourge” of the islands; at least this particular one anyway—all the wild hordes knew to fear these “two” especially. Now, if the two Trainers would notice, the air around where they were gathered would grow silent, tense, heavy—a sign that true trouble was coming, it was brewing—and that they were pretty much on the highway to the Underworld; the Gengar commanded that presence just so. The Arbok relished in all manner of things poisonous and toxic, and couldn’t resist the thought of actually killing again after all this time; it was partly their fault as to why there were little to no remaining “friendlies” on the island that they called “home”.
Battle!
Gengar and Arbok are approaching! Will appear after next round of posts.
Move sets will be revealed once the battle is officially underway.

Josh couldn't help but smirk a bit when he realized she was actually worried, even if just a bit. Yumi never seemed to have a worry or a care in the world; unless it was in terms of her Pokemon. Of course, that was just by what he had seen. He kicked himself a bit for not really getting to know Yumi before really observing and thinking that sort of thing, but he was sure an opportunity would present itself sooner or later. Regardless, he smirked over at her when she dusted off his arm. Of course, he did notice that the action had done the same to Yumi, although she might not have noticed. The height difference (Josh's 6'2 to Yumi's 5'10) played a factor in that observation. "Tilt down just a bit" he said quietly as he would lean in and blow a bit of dust out of Yumi's hair that was unflatterably sticking out.
With that out of the way and the favor returned, he would cross his arms for a moment and think as Yumi mentioned that they had already been rampaging. "That's.... Strange. I wonder what could have set them off like that?" He questioned, letting out a sigh. Of course, then Yumi brought up that the others had come way too soon after the Grimer and he nodded in response. "You're right. They did come a little too fast for that to be a coincidence. The question is, if they're working together, why are they rampaging like this and attacking people?" He asked. He subtlely noted that Yumi was doing the exact same gestures he was, down to the sigh and crossed arms. A "For fucks sakes" rang through his head but he found it more humorous then anything.
Josh would nod to her next statement as the game of Matching Max finally came to an end with her next gesture, but with that inside joke out of the way, Josh couldn't help but feel a bit at unease.
"Yumi.. I don't think this is over" He admitted, scratching his head. "I've got a bad feeling about this. Didn't one of the Pokemon escape? What are the odds of it returning?" He would question.
Now that the Gengar and the Arbok were stomping out together towards where the Haunter had last left the two humans along with their companions, they were only thinking of one thing: why the hell was their “private hamlet” being disturbed now, of all days? As the two continued to charge forward; the Arbok slithering slightly behind the Gengar who had chosen to walk instead of floating in the air like the little lump of ectoplasm that he was, wanting to psych himself up and get ready for the madness that they were about to unload on the two unsuspecting humans that were conversing not too far away.
The Arbok then decided to nudge his companion a little—and they then got to discuss a plan that they would be utilizing; since they really did want to get rid of the invaders and have the island all to themselves once more. Several minutes later, they had seemingly come to an agreement; before announcing their presence—this time the Gengar chose to levitate upon approaching the assembled “crew”, while the Arbok was slithering along the ground… waiting to strike at the first opportune moment.

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
"Same here..."
Yumi had to admit, she wasn't getting too many good vibes. The destructive nature of the Grimers and the more trickster like nature of the Haunter didn't seem to match too well. She wondered what, if anythin, had put them together. Even beyond that, their goal was an even further mystery. One thing was for certain however...
"The chances of that Haunter getting back up? Oh I'd say pretty high..." Spotting something rustling in the bushes behind Josh, Yumi stepped up to his side, enlarging the pokeball of her final trick in her palm readying it for whatever was coming after them. "In fact, I'd say it's here now..." Yumi held herself still for a moment, making sure not to unleash her most potent pokemon for the situation too early, but as was her suspicion, two poison type pokemon, Arbok and Gengar would make their way out towards them, standing there as if waiting to be attacked first. Who was Yumi to deny that?
"Sam, gonna need-huh!?"
Just as Yumi through out the pokeball of her Gardevoir, the last remaining pokeball on her belt also openned up, both spheres unleashing their red light as the two pokemon took shape, the magnificent Gardvoir and the all powerful Charizard, roaring confidently to the sky as he had freed himself from his pokeball, grinning at the poison types as he crossed his arms over his chest, leaving Yumi confused for a second before she ultimately smiled.
"Heh, I suppose I did brin you for a reason...alright Enzo! You're the star here! Sam!" The Gardevoir lifted her head, also amused by the charizard. "Give our pal some back up!"
As Sam nodded, raising a hand and focusing her efforts into forming a light screen around her companion. The Charizard puffed some embers confidently, buffing himself up with a dragon dance. Enzo was no ordinary charizard. He wore an armored headpiece that held a yellowy red gem just above his eyes, known as his charizardite Y, at least Yumi would know it as such. His neck held a deep scar in the shape of a bite, one could even match it to a houndoom, but it was a scar he wore with honour, even if his attacker gave him it by less than honorable means. Finally, a necklace like piece of armor rested around his chest, holding a more blue black gem, the charizardite X.
"Prepare youself! Enzo! Charge!"
With no hesitation, the flaming armored dragon rushed forward, one of his claws burning with a blue flame as it burned with draconic energy. His enhanced speed pushing him forward, he would not hesitate to aim for the Gengar, hoping to strike it hard, and fast.

"The chances of that Haunter getting back up? Oh I'd say pretty high..." she had said. Josh sighed and shrugged. "Well, that was obvious. I don't see him in the body pile, I wouldn't be surprised if he was just going to let it slide" he admitted. Josh had a bad feeling about this, and he wasn't shy to convey it. But it wasn't long before their little rest period was over. Yumi would suddenly step to Josh's side when they heard something rustling in the bushes, Pokeball in her hand. Josh would motion for Lightning to stay on his shoulder. The Pikachu wasn't 100%, he didn't want Lightning going after whatever was going to come out. Instead, he had a secret weapon planned just in case something were to happen...
"I agree" He said to her statement as he would toss the Pokeball up in down, just waiting for whatever it was to appear. It wouldn't take them long to find out as the Arbok and Gengar would make their presence known. It seemed obvious to him that they were the bosses of this little operation. The Gastly and Haunter were obviously under the Gengar, and the other poison types were likely under the thumb of the other Poison Type, Arbok. It was time for his secret weapon then.
"Go, Fawkes!" Josh called as he would throw the Pokeball into the air. Yumi would recognize the name of Josh's Charmander from last time they had met, but Yumi would be in for a little surprise.
"GRRRRRRROAAAARRR!"
That certainly wasn't the sound of a Charmander. And it certainly didn't look like one as a Charizard would be let out of his Pokeball and land beside his Trainer, letting out a loud roar as he saw the Arbok and Weezing Gengar. Josh would look over at Yumi and smirk a bit as he saw she had brought out her Charizard from last time as well, as well as her Gardevoir for support. Perfect.
"Alright Fawkes, use Swords Dance, then hit em hard with Flame Charge!" Josh would call. The Charizard would let out a roar as spiritual swords would spin around him for a moment, increasing his Attack power, before he would envelop himself in a veil of flames and launch himself toward Arbok.
Lightning was called back!
Fawkes was sent out!
Fawkes used Swords Dance. +2 Attack. Fawkes used Flame Charge on Arbok.
One could say that it was time for the real action to fall together, to say the least—and the two ‘mons that had arrived on the scene were surprised to see not just one, but two Charizards! One of them had a deep gash down its neck—shame that it didn’t die outright, because it was just right there, living and breathing. The Gengar hissed, before noticing that one of the two Charizards were incoming and had its claws glowing all weirdly! The Arbok decided to take action, by quickly firing off Gunk Shot; an attempt to intercept the Charizard that was already charging in right at him! Soon after the rather large chunk of garbage went soaring through the air, screaming at the (blazing) flying lizard, the Arbok then quickly flicked his tail and sent out a literal hail storm of purple mist that invaded the entire field and began to spread from the point of release—it was now setting up the field for himself and his partner!
In its defense, the Gengar seemingly “flipped” a digit at the Charizard who was now charging right at it—but it had actually begun to utilize its special techniques; and that little cheeky gesture was apparently a Spite, and it had decided to take the Dragon-type attack in stride, knowing that full well, its move would be rendered unusable. The Gardevoir would be dealt with later; he just needed to get things set-up and going! After skidding slightly along the ground, he then flipped that same digit at the other Charizard who was apparently on fire—screaming right at the Arbok. He didn’t know if the Gunk Shot had clobbered the Cha or not, he just had to initiate the lockdown process…
Arbok starts off the battle with Gunk Shot fired off at Josh's Charizard, an attempt to block the incoming blazing missile; before retreating back and letting Toxic spread around the entire battlefield. Gengar, on the other hand, takes the Dragon Claw in stride, before using Spite on each Charizard (see reference notes below).

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
Yumi was a little alarmed still by the fact these two fuly evolved pokemon had chosen them as their targets, gritting her teth a little and hoping not much would go wrong. It was only with the uses of spite and toxic that she became a little bit more nervous. Sure, Enzo was up close and personal with that Gengar, and still had a good two uses of his dragon claw left, but the issue was putting them to use, especially with the current terrain...TERRAIN! That was it!
"Josh! Sorry but you're gonna have to deal with the toxic on your own! I got my own fix to this!" She turned to her side, her Gardevoir still standing and giving a gentle nod. A pink misty, a misty terrain if you will, began to flood from the bottom of her dress like form, the fairy type move spreading over the ground of the local area. This wouldn't really have made much difference, at least, not normally. Yumi had a little trick however. Holding out her wrist, the gem atop Enzo's metal headpiece would begin to burn a bright blue, letting out a tremendous roar as his body shined, encased in a bright light that almost seemed to smash, his weight falling to the ground and revealing the titanic mega pokemon, Mega charizard X! "Now show them what you got!"
Now grounded with absolutely no way to be hit by the toxic, engulfed in the careful field of the misty terrain, Enzo knew it would be stupid to continue using his dragon claw, the terrain would weaken it afterall. Instead, with a heavy slam of his foot, he changed targets, going after the arbok who had yet to take a hit.

Fawkes would manage to dodge the Gunk Shot in mid-air, with his Flame Charge from last turn hitting after all. With that meaning Josh had another attack, he had to think of a plan and fast. As the Toxic spread around the battlefield, and Spite was used though, Josh could see the worry on Yumi's face. He would put a hand on her shoulder, and smirk over at her. "Hey, smile" He said, almost confidently. "I believe in you, we'll get through this" He said before watching as Yumi's Gardevoir would suddenly use it's move. But as Josh realized it didn't work with Flying types, her Charizard suddenly began to glow... And then transform into something he had never seen before!
"What in the world..." Josh whispered, but he saw Yumi's strategy as the Toxic didn't seem to effect it, as if it were no longer a Flying type...
He breathed. He truly was on his own with the Toxic now, he had to think of a plan. "Fawkes, use Flamethrower around you to ward off the Toxic!" Josh would call. Fawkes would let out a resounding roar before shooting a Flamethrower all around it. If the Toxic had any homing effects from them being Poison types... Hopefully Flamethrower would allow him to block it.
The Arbok was more on the surprised side to see that something…weird was happening to one of the two Charizards—the first moment it was still its normal red-orange-yellow coloration, the next it had turned blue, black… and was more menacing. Arbok wasn’t going to be intimidated by this, nosiree, but what he was definitely NOT expecting was that the weird-colored Charizard would stomp down on the…oddly pinkish-colored ground, and bam, another tremor shook the area. He then glowered at the Gengar, as if saying, “what the fuck did I tell you, I’m useless here!” before the tremors did one hell of a number on the Arbok. The Gengar, on the other hand, could only stare haughtily at the Arbok, before it had folded under the force of the Earthquake that had torn the place to shreds—well not really, but it had done quite a number on the entire place they were all fighting on.
As the Arbok flopped over backwards and passed out, the flames clearing out at the failed Toxic attempt—the Gengar was left alone; one against three?! How would he fight them all off? He knew that his companion was utterly a failure, but he didn’t want to shame his own pride… so, in a last-minute ditch effort to get rid of at least one of the offending things that were trespassing on their grounds, he then waved both his stubby hands at the black Charizard, quickly employing Pain Split as fast as he could manage; before chaining into an attempt at Shadow Punch, aimed at the black Cha. The Gengar knew that it wouldn’t miss, but he could only stall for so long before he, too, fell and met the same fate as the Arbok had.
Battle!
Gengar in battle!
Arbok knocked right out of the picture with Earthquake, how the hell is he going to block that? Toxic attempt burned up due to the Flamethrower. Now that Gengar is alone, he uses Pain Split on the Black Charizard, before following up with Shadow Punch (guaranteed hit)!
Gengar: feeling a bit better, now that he's healed... sort of (around 82.5, after using Pain Split on the Black Charizard) Arbok: Well what do you expect? A one-hit! (a.k.a. out of the picture)

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
"HELL YEAH!"
Yumi had some over the top outbursts on minor victories so far, but this one was a REAL victory, taking out one of what she assumed was the bosses of the poison types they had been seeing all day. Enzo was doing a great job, and he roared triumpantly. The battle still wasn't over of course, but it was nearly the final scene. Yumi just had to put a little more oomph into it all. The Gengar was quick to strike back, and Enzo was the subject of the pain. The pain split drained him considerably, as well as the shadow punch that followed, hitting him right in the gut.
"Enzo! Rest!" The Charizard quickly took a knee after the punch in the gut, glaring up at the gengar and growling as his roost took effect, healing most of the damage, but still leaving him with a few scrapes and nicks. He wanted to lash out, but he knew from watching Ko-ken that he'd likely end up putting himself in a worse and worse position.
"One last push Josh, think you can give me a hand with this?"
Yumi hoped her friend would help here, because Enzo was a little too close to the danger for comfort. But, it also put him in a very oppurtune position. "Flare blitz!" The true dragon finally struck out, his body coated in flames and just rushing headfirst at the Gengar that had struck him so hard, trying to unleash pure fury with the side hope that the charizard behind him would follow suit.

One of the Pokemon were down, and it looked like the other one had given up and was just going at them blindly now! It had attacked Yumi's Charizard, paying no heed to Fawkes. Already, it seemed that Yumi was celebrating. He smirked faintly. Don't get cocky just yet, Yummy Yumi. Pain Split made sure her confidence was rewarded with pain, but again, Fawkes was uneffected. If they could just finish it off in one fell swoop...
Yumi's Charizard would use Rest first, restoring it's health. She would turn to him then, and ask her question. Josh would look back at Yumi and shook her a grin. "I would be happy to" He cracked back, shooting her a playful wink in return before turning to Fawkes. "Fawkes, pair up with Enzo! Use Flame Charge!" Josh would command. Fawkes would let out a massive roar, before being engulfed in flames and joining Enzo using Flame Charge. As Enzo's Flare Blitz sent it rocketing toward Gengar, Fawkes's Flame Charge would send it rocketing alongside it, both heading straight for Gengar...
Well, the first plan had somehow worked; the Pain Split had divided their Health points evenly—until the black thing just sat down and…did something. The Gengar didn’t know what the hell it was doing, but flinched back in horror as the black Charizard charged in with renewed vigor. Where the hell was it getting the energy to keep going?! As the black one came in veering insanely close for what looked like to be a completely reckless attack, it missed the fact that the other Charizard was also screaming in close, using that same attack that he’d seen earlier! How the hell was he going to block two incoming onslaughts?! Even if he was to use another Pain Split on the black Charizard (and then try it with the normal-colored one as well) would it be enough?
The Gengar was now having second thoughts on having used Pain Split first—why didn’t he go with Curse instead? All the hesitation was written on his sneering face as he vainly tried to mitigate the damage with two Pain Splits, one after another on each of the Charizards—but it apparently wasn’t enough. As the two blazing balls of flame collided with the spectral entity, the Gengar could only hiss as he was knocked from this world into the next, to where his partner-in-crime was waiting with such a look of loathing, a single Glare could’ve killed his spectral entity once again.
Battle!
Gengar in battle!
Vainly attempts using Pain Split on both Charizards in succession but the battering is too much.
Gengar: You think he can survive that? Two hits coming from opposite directions! TWO HITS! (a.k.a. out of the picture) Arbok: Well what do you expect? A one-hit! (a.k.a. out of the picture)
"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
It was a close call, but Yumi had certainly come out on top with the aid of her buddy Josh. The two raging charizards had taken down the poisonous bosses with relative ease, at least in comparison to the haunters and muk that had came before. The black dragon of Yumi's chuckled confidently, feeling a little weak and wheezing through the last few chuckles before falling to his rear, the pain split seeming to have taken it's tole on him quite a bit, leaving him feeling exhausted as he sat and tried to catch his breath. Mega or not, he still had a limit, and he was in no way used to this.
"You did well bud." Yumi was quick to rush to his side, Sam, the still present gardevoir, making her way over with a quick pace, using her untrained healing powers to try and soothe some of Enzo's aches, Yumi ruffling his scales between his horns with a smile between them. "I think we're good now...~" She turned to Josh with an equally worried gaze. "How's your charizard there bud?"
Post by Josh Dragomir on Jan 27, 2015 14:37:58 GMT -5
Finally, it was over. While just the two had been a tad easier then the combined might of the minions, especially due to the appearance of Yumi's Black Charizard, this had not been; by any means, easy. Hopefully, this whole ordeal would be worth it. It had been a hell of a ride, after all. Josh looked over to try to examine this... Black Charizard, after he noticed that it'd been hit pretty hard by the Pain Split. Hopefully, with the battle over, it would be fine now. He would then turn to examining Fawkes to make sure that he was alright. The Charizard seemed to be just fine, he thought.
He would look over at Yumi and smile when she asked her question. "Fawkes is alright" Josh promised. "A few aches and bruises, but give him some rest and he'll be just fine" He said, brushing his hand along the Charizard's head. He looked her Charizard up and down.
"So, I have to ask Yumi... Is that Mega Evolution?" He would ask, curious. He'd only heard of it.. Tried to learn it's secrets himself, but ultimately failed...
