Thankfully, Tom had appeared as close as possible to where she’d landed; and his own screech of dismay was one that she could totally relate to—how the hell they wound back on the same spot as the evil red-and-white clown from Hell, she’d never know. But at least they were able to get away from the evil thing that was still chanting quite ominously—and this time, nothing too weird happened. At least, that’s what she hoped would commence. As they rounded another bend, she then heard something faint… at first. As they continued their approach, the Milotic and Ponyta then skidded to a stop as they then tried to pick out where the weird music was coming from. Was there something piping it into the vicinity from an unknown control room? Or was it just playing overhead in order to mess with them?
Whatever the source, Andrea skidded to a stop… before suddenly realizing that she knew the melody of what they were hearing!
“Oh. Oh, hell no. you have seriously got to be joking me…” she said, before smacking both palms to her face out of annoyance. Why did it have to be this particular song?! And why do I have to sing it to him and act like HE’S Johnny? Oy, whoever did this sure must be getting a kick out of torturing us… at least it’s not the Electrode Wrecking Ball or anything quite horrendous… she thought to herself as she then composed herself by taking a few deep breaths before speaking up again. “Tom. Whatever you see today. Do NOT tell anyone about this or I will kill you right here, right now…” she broke off, sorely wishing she had her collapsible staff on her, to improvise as a microphone. But in any case, as the first strains of music began to play, she began to sing softly:
“Johnny, Angry Johnny, this is Jezebel in Hell I wanna kill you, I wanna blow you...away
I can do it you gently I can do it with an animal's grace I can do it with precision I can do it with gourmet taste
But either way Either (way), either way I wanna kill you I wanna blow you... Away
I can do it to your mind I can do it to your face I can do it with integrity I can do it with disgrace
Johnny, Angry Johnny, this is Jezebel in Hell Johnny, Angry Johnny, this is Jezebel in Hell
I can do it in a church I can do it any time or place I can do it like an angel To quiet down your rage…”

As the two ran away from the mime clown abomination that they had unfortunately landed near, Thomas heard something faint in the background. Thomas figured that it was either him hearing things, after all the chaos that this run was turning out. But as they pressed onward, he could see the others reacting to it, especially Bubbles.
As he heard Andrea's reaction, he was confused. What was going to happen next.
That's when she started to sing. The trainer blinked in disbelief as to what was going on. But as she got to a certain part, something 'compelled' him to carry on from where she was leaving off. It was indescribable, and for some reason, he couldn't resist it.
"I can do it in the water I can do on dry land I can do it with instruments I can do it with my own bare hands
But either way Either way, you know where it stands I wanna kill you I wanna blow you... Away
Johnny, Angry Johnny, this is Jezebel in Hell Johnny, oh my Johnny
Where did your pleasure go When the pain came through you Where did your happiness go This force is running you around now Getting you down now Where is your pleasure now Johnny Where has your pleasure gone now
Johnny, Angry Johnny..."
After all that, he looked to his sister. "Yeah, considering I was caught up in all that, I'd be just as embarrassed as you if word got out...", Thomas told Andie.
4 spaces forward, and you've come to a safe place to take a breather. Not too safe though; you can hear skittering above in the trees. Better move along soon.
She couldn’t believe it—she knew that Tom would resist any and all kinds of mockery; but here he was, singing the other half of the song that she’d just finished. Once he was done, she looked at him owlishly, before blinking and then saying, “Well, at least it’s just us in here. Nobody needs to know what’s going on…” while looking around quite apprehensively. Now that the “impromptu karaoke session” seemed to be over, she then approached the Ponyta and gave him a good pat on the head; before going over to the Milotic (who was trying her best not to snicker) and gave her a good pat on the head as well before continuing, “Come on, let’s get out of here. I don’t want to sing any more songs… and I’m sure, you don’t want to have a repeat performance of earlier,” she ended in her younger brother’s direction, continuing to walk forward; her two Pokémon walking along with her. The Ponyta had decided to take the lead; while the Milotic was slithering through the air right beside her.
Is it just me, or do I still have the feeling that we’re being followed…? She thought with a nervous look as she stole a few glances around the area; it was just as dark, and dank, as everything else in this place. Whoever set this up must have an extremely cruel, if not twisted, sense of humor… well at least none of those abominations are coming after us. That’s a relief… she continued to muse to herself, finally coming to a stop—the place looked safe, at least for a while. “We can take a breather here… at least there aren’t any crazy freaks of nature following us…” she muttered, finally sinking down to her knees and sitting down on the ground. The Ponyta had decided to take up “guard duty” and was facing the darkness ahead; while the Milotic settled down around her, curling up to her like a cat would normally do. “Come, take a rest. We do deserve a few minutes to recover, after all that running, right?” she offered in her younger brother’s direction.

Thomas looked at Andrea as she responded to his remark about the singing. He nodded to her in agreement. Thomas, Bubbles, and Ripper all followed Andrea and her companions in step, Thomas shining the kinetic flashlight on the path, constantly making sure the thing was getting enough power to keep them on the path.
When Andrea suggested that the group rest, Thomas looked around. So far, nothing seemed to be following them. However, he couldn't help but feel paranoid about the sounds of skittering in the trees. But then, they had four good Pokemon to guard them, should his gut be right. So the trio slumped down, and took a rest.
"Alright, a few minutes of rest would be nice...", muttered Thomas.
Though it was clear that Bubbles was scared of everything that was going on around her, Ripper didn't seem to be phased at all. If anything, he was annoyed at all the running they had to do. He wanted to try his hand at actually fighting off the bastards.
-----
When Andrea was ready to go, Thomas and his Pokemon got up, and started out, cautiously looking around them as they proceeded.
Once you make it further into the woods, it looks like a curse is cast upon you... to sing. One of you will have to sing this song and cannot say anything else but the lyrics for 3 posts. Bravo!
As of the moment, there were no creepy-crawly, strange “freaks of nature” that were following them, and she let out a sigh of relief as they continued to walk forward; her younger brother shining the flash light on the path that they were taking. It seemed that they had apparently escaped the “worst” part of the maze—because for a while, as she’d taken the lead, Andrea felt this very unearthly presence as they had walked by one particular spot. Whether there was something good or bad waiting for her there, she didn’t know—all she was sure of was that they hadn’t landed on that one particular spot that literally sent goose bumps erupting all over her skin.
Once they were past the “danger zone” (as she chose to call it in the back of her mind) she then looked at Tom sideways, before coming to a stop. “It…it’s been a while since we began running. Kind of nice to just slow down and take it easy... I don’t want to see any more of those freaks of nature until we get out of here…” she trailed off, before reaching off to one side and giving her Ponyta a gentle tap on its head; which caused the Fire Horse to suddenly sidle up closer to her and be petted for the time being. “What…do you think is next?” she asked out loud as she looked around, wondering if they were getting close to the end of the entire attraction. It feels like we’ve been in here for hours… she thought to herself, looking around ruefully.

As the two pressed on through the accursed forest that was supposed to be someone's twisted idea of an attraction, the trainer started to hear music. He tried to say something to Andrea, only for silence to come out, not even a sound. For some reason, he couldn't spit it out. But then, she wasn't reacting to the music.
So what the hell was going on?
That's when the trainer heard some voices exclaim the word 'Ghostbusters!'
Then, suddenly, the uncontrollable urge to sing sprang upon him.
"If there's somethin' strange in your neighborhood Who ya gonna call?", Thomas suddenly started singing.
He then heard the voices again, calling out that same word.
"If it's somethin' weird an' it don't look good Who ya gonna call?", the trainer uncontrollably continued.
Despite his attempts to stop the singing, all he could do was sing along to the music that only be heard by him, it seemed. Upon hearing the voices again, he continued.
"I ain't afraid o' no ghost I ain't afraid o' no ghost
If you're seein' things runnin' through your head Who can you call?", he sang.
The voice was heard by the trainer again. It prompted him to unwillingly continue singing.
"An invisible man sleepin' in your bed Oh who ya gonna call?", the trainer kept going against his will.
"I ain't afraid o' no ghost I ain't afraid o' no ghost
Who ya gonna call?", sang Thomas, to the tune of the music only heard by him.
4 spaces forward, and you reach another quiet place. Don't linger too long though, as you can hear something - lots of something - slowly approaching through the woods.
Andrea could only scratch her head and turned around to look at her younger brother; before wondering just why the hell he wasn’t speaking. What came next, of course, was something she secretly wished she could take to the grave—because for one thing, it was weird to hear him singing; another thing was that it was the theme of a certain super-popular, supernatural comedy that had a weird lump of ectoplasm as its unofficial mascot. She could only blink and stare in shock as she heard nothing but the lyrics coming out from Tom’s mouth, and she could only gape at him, out of surprise. “T-tom? W-what’s going on?” she began, blinking and starting at him, watching him trying to articulate another word, but only coming out with the lyrics of that show’s well-known “title theme”. “Oh hell, don’t tell me we stepped on a trapped zone again?!” she added a few seconds later, remembering the time that she’d gotten her hands seemingly “stuck” together without touching anything sticky of the sort.
She could only shake her head as she took the flash light from him, and clicked her tongue in Max’s direction, making the Ponyta stop a few paces ahead and turn around before facing her. “Can you keep an eye on him? I don’t want him to do anything too crazy now…” she continued, but there was a hint of a grin on her face as she was trying her hardest not to laugh out loud. Well, she was making a good attempt of it so far; but decided to just go on ahead and scout out the area, to see if there were any nastier, unwanted, unexpected surprises waiting for them, but thankfully…none crossed their path, for the moment. As she came to a stop at a seemingly deserted spot, she then looked around to check on Thomas; who could either be normal by now or still singing the weird song again. “Can you talk normally now?” she began after a few minutes of shaking the flash light and shining it around, before making sure that it was a safe place to stop and recover their bearings.
Well, I don’t know where the hell we are now. I just hope we’re almost out of here… at least we didn’t get stuck in anything too ridiculous or outright scary… she thought to herself as she thought she heard…the sound of skittering. Shaking her head, she then looked around and shined the flash light to make sure that they weren’t followed to this spot. Was it just her imagination—or was the skittering noise getting louder, the longer they lingered here?

Thomas saw that look on Andrea's face as he could do nothing but sing against his will. However, any attempt to actually speak to her resulted in him just continuing to sing to the music playing in his head. But then, her next response seemed to be her getting what was going on. That Thomas was now being subjected to something, just like she was earlier.
"If you're all alone, pick up the phone And call...", Thomas spewed from his mouth. A look of distress was on his face, and if Andrea were to look, it would be clear that he was not enjoying this one bit.
He watched as she took the flashlight, and then addressed the Ponyta, telling him to keep close to Thomas.
"I ain't afraid o' no ghost I hear it likes the girls I ain't afraid o' no ghost Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah", he continued. The trainer looked to his sister's Pokemon, a look of frustration at the situation on his face. He hated singing, and he hated being forced to do it doubly so.
"Who you gonna call?", the trainer blurted out before punching himself in the face.
But this did nothing to help him. Not like he thought it would, as it was only his way of lashing out at the situation, not trying to solve it.
"Mmm, if you've had a dose Of a freaky ghost baby You better call", Thomas continued uninterrupted to the tune and voices in his head.
"Let me tell you somethin' Bustin' makes me feel good", he sang. It was a good thing he was far enough away from the trees. Otherwise, he'd smash his head into one repeatedly out of anger.
"I ain't afraid o' no ghost I ain't afraid o' no ghost", Thomas said. At this point, he could feel his self control slip him as his singing became more consistent.

some coincidences are deliberate
Thomas Thaddeus / skittering and visions. Are we there yet? / 491
Andrea could only scratch her head and blink at the occurrence that had overtaken Thomas—because she could definitely tell, that the more this went on, the more his attempts at fighting back became obvious; yet the sense of self-control he had earlier was starting to waver as his own voice was warming up and getting used to singing the lyrics. I know he’d definitely want a word with whoever, or whatever, is causing this. Me, I just want to slap the maze-maker silly for sticking my hands together… she mused to herself as she then tried another tack in order to see if it would work. “T-tom. Hey, Tom!” she began over his singing, flailing her arms (and the flashlight) so that he would see her.
“I think we better get going, that skittering noise is definitely getting louder. And much closer, too close for comfort!” she added, quickly grabbing her brother’s hand and dragging him along. She knew she was going to get some reproachful looks from the Azumarill and the Scizor, but they really had to get going! To emphasize the point, the Ponyta began acting quite skittishly, neighing in their “Pokémon language” at their other companions—the Milotic was already on the move, besides her mistress. As the Fire Horse began to plod along beside the Trainer (who was being dragged out of his own volition, danger impending or not) while waiting for the Scizor and Azumarill to follow him—back up front where Andrea could still hear him singing, she then used her free hand to shine the flash light up ahead—and saw nothing but the blackness. Or was it getting lighter?
Either way, she hoped and wished fervently that they would be getting out of the maze soon; because even the place was starting to unnerve her. The freaks of nature, my hands getting stuck, the impromptu singing sessions, and now Tom singing something and being unable to say anything… there’s something supernatural going on here, I can say… she thought to herself as she then came to a skidding stop; at another spot where there was nothing waiting for them. Thankfully, the earlier skittering noise—that resembled a bunch of flesh-eating scarab beetles from a certain movie that she enjoyed very much as a kid—was gone, and they were out of danger, for now. As the beam of the flashlight faltered, she then shook it again, in order to keep the feeble light going. She then did a quick head count, checking if there were four Pokémon and another human with her.
Sighing in relief as the entire party was complete, she then let go of his hand, before attempting another tack. “Tom, can you try to keep quiet with the singing? I want to see if you’d still continue spouting the weird lyrics,” she added hastily, after looking at him, worried about the state of his mental health at this point.

As Andrea dragged him away from the area where the skittering started, Ripper and Bubbles ran right after the both of them. More precisely, it was Ripper doing the running, as he was carrying Bubbles again. Thankfully, he was able to keep pace with the others with ease, due to his use of Agility.
But as they ran, Thomas unwittingly continued.
"When he comes through your door Unless you just a want some more I think you better call
Oh, who you gonna call?
Who you gonna call?
Ah, think you better call
Who you gonna call?
I can't hear you Who you gonna call?
Louder
Who you gonna call?
Who can you call?", Thomas continued, to the sound of that word in his head, "Ghostbusters."
But as they ran, he heard something else. A hollow voice calling out his name from an undefined area in the forest surrounding them. And then he heard it again, from a different position. As he was too afraid to speak, lest he might start singing again, he just looked to Andrea as they stopped. However, despite the last part she tacked on, he still shot her an angry glare.
If anything, he was stopping himself from giving her the middle finger, but just barely.
