Eventually, the two of them managed to outrun the third abomination to come after them tonight. And with the way things were going, Thomas had the feeling that they'd be outrunning plenty more of those things in this Halloween walk from hell. As the group stopped, Thomas started to try to catch his breath, Ripper putting down Bubbles for a moment in order to approach their master, see if he was okay.
However, Thomas' attention soon turned to Andrea's hands. For some odd reason, they were seemingly glued together, and she was doing her best not to drop the flashlight. As it came flying into the air, Thomas dived to catch the thing, right before Andrea could tell him. He didn't know what the hell happened with Andrea, whether it was the work of one of those abominations, or something else entirely. But in any case, Thomas succeeded in catching the flashlight, skidding across the dirt, shaking the kinetic flashlight furiously in order to get it running as good as he could get it.
"Andie, we should keep moving. One of those... things... could catch up to us at any moment...", he told his older sister. "If you need me to, I'll help you through while you sort out this problem with your hands.", Thomas told Andrea in a kind tone. As he was talking to his now cursed sister, he was constantly looking back for the abominations from before.
Thankfully, Thomas had managed to catch the flashlight before it had rolled away; and she watched from the corner of her eye as he struggled to shake it in order to keep the darned thing lit up. It was proving to be difficult to unstuck her hands—because no matter how hard she strained against the way they were apparently “glued” together, she couldn’t get the palms of her hands undone. “Urrrgh… arrrgh… GRARRRRRGH!!!” she growled, trying with all her might to get her hands free from each other. “Damn it. It’s like one of those finger trap-like things, only… with a whole palm!” she exclaimed, hopping around on the spot as she tried her darndest hardest to get her hands free from one another.
“I’m pretty sure that we didn’t encounter any surface that had some kind of super glue on it. I swear!” she added, watching the Ponyta and the Milotic look at her with a weird gleam in their eyes. The two Pokemon could only stare at their boss in wonder as she continued to dance around on the spot, flailing her limbs that were refusing to cooperate with her. She’d already strained her arms to the breaking point—by trying to grab them apart from each other, but they still remained glued together. It was like they’d just decided to stick together of their own accord and just ignore Andrea’s commands.
“God. This is going to be annoying. What do you think, should we keep going forward or should we stay here…?” she asked Thomas sometime later; after several futile minutes of strenuous flailing.

Normally, Thomas didn't have such a problem operating kinetic flashlights. But then, the ones he had dealt with in the past were of much better quality. But then, if everything in this hellhole of a forest was intentional, then Thomas had to give the sick bastards some credit. They wanted a horrifying experience, and they certainly managed to build one.
Thomas got back to his feet as he watched his older sister's futile struggles to separate their hands. And he knew for a fact that it wasn't something either of them physically ran into, because Thomas would've been suffering the effects otherwise. So what the hell "glued" Andrea's hands together? And most importantly, how in the hell were they supposed to free them?
After Andrea finally stopped, Thomas looked behind them again, to make sure one of those abominations didn't catch up to them. Thankfully, they seemed to have lost those three things.
"Let's move. I know the fact that your hands are stuck together is a problem, but one of those... things could come back to us soon...", Thomas told her, waiting for her before he would cautiously move through the forest again.

some coincidences are deliberate
Thomas Thaddeus / 3 out of 4 posts stuck together. Hey, at least right? *also that is her default face until the end of the walk lels* / 245
“Yeah. Let’s get moving… I don’t want either Mothra or C’thulhu following us,” she said with a shudder, still trying to get “used” to having her own hands glued together and trying to hoist them behind her head. As they walked forward, the Ponyta still vainly trying to make the flames on its mane burn brighter, she thought she heard something… go wrong. She could pick out (thanks to her peripheral vision) that he was shining the flashlight down on the ground—even if she was walking slightly ahead of him at the moment, she made sure to slow down as much as possible if in case they got separated—when she thought she heard the flashlight sputtering.
“Wait… what?” she began, turning around and then looking at the faltering beam of light.
It was flickering, alright, but not as badly as this! She then felt her eyebrows shoot up so far, she then watched as the feeble light it offered flickered, like a light bulb about to short—and it finally went out, sputtering and dying. “Oh… oh crud,” was all she had time for, before trying to catch her brother’s attention with the flashlight in his hands. “Uhhh… Tom? That… the flashlight broke. Or at least, I think it did…” she trailed off with an apprehensive tone in her voice; because even if they weren’t being chased by anything (at least for now) their only (working) light source had gone out of commission!

As the group pressed on through the forest, something very bad happened. Thomas heard the sound of the kinetic flashlight going out. Thomas looked down in disbelief, before attempting to shake the thing, but to no avail. And for a moment, Thomas just stood there, staring at the object in his hand in the dark, fighting off the temptation to just smash the thing right now.
"Well that's just fucking great!", exclaimed Thomas angrily.
Thankfully, even if the flames were dimmed on him, the Ponyta was still producing some light source. But still, this was going to make their walk through this hellhole a lot harder. And it was only the thought of bludgeoning the person who provided them with the piece of crap that kept Thomas from stomping on it with all his fury, or throwing it into the forest.
"If we get out of here alive, I'm going to have a 'talk' with the person who gave you this thing...", Thomas told Andrea.
4 spaces forward, and . . . there's nothing here. That you can see, anyway. You can hear something lurking out there in the dark; best to move before it catches you.

some coincidences are deliberate
Thomas Thaddeus / 4 out of 4! Next post, my hands are FREE / 320
While Andrea continued to struggle with her hands that were now apparently stuck together, they continued to walk forward—and had to resist the urge to snicker at her younger brother’s exclamations of the flashlight going out. “Hey, you can try to calm down at least,” she began with the hint of a snicker in her tone—before quickly whipping around at the scratching noise she heard just a few moments ago. “No need to beat the daylights out of the staff who mans the place; it’s just that… did you… did you hear that?” she asked, a tense edge in her voice as of the moment. “Also, I don’t think you can talk to…the staff, I just grabbed the flashlight from a table while waiting for you. It’s like nobody was manning the attraction or anything…” she added, still flailing her hands in vain as she tried to get them loose—when the same scratching sound echoed around them!
“Oh, crap, honestly?” she said, slowing down as she watched the Ponyta suddenly stiffen up, before suddenly becoming quite listless. She then looked sideways at her Milotic, who then became quite fidgety; a characteristic that was not like her at all. The scratching noise then increased in volume, which then caused Andrea to look around quite nervously. “Oh… I do not like the sound of that, Tom…” she muttered as she then looked forward and saw nothing… nothing too unusual or freaky anyway. “Are we… do you think we’re halfway around already? Because honestly, after that freak show in the beginning, my hands acting up like this—“ she trailed off, gesturing to her glued palms, before continuing, “…and the flashlight not working… I just hope we can get out of here. And soon,” she added, nervously looking around at this point and continuing forward, still flailing her palms in an attempt to release them from whatever had stuck them together.

Thomas listened to what his sister had to say. For the short while they actually had gotten to know each other, she managed to read him like an open book, his intention to beat the crap outta the person who provided these cheap things included. However, when it came to vendetta, Thomas wasn't quite the person to let things go. But before he could reply to her, he heard a scratching sound. Thomas made a futile attempt to peer around in the dark for whatever it was that made the scratching sound.
He then listened to his sister explain to him about how she found the crappy flashlight. But even if they were on an unmanned table, someone had to have laid them out, leaving them with intentionally crappy flashlights to boot. And that was reason enough for Thomas to be pissed.
But in any case, their current worry was pressing onward, preferably away from the source of that scratching noise. As he heard Andrea's footsteps, he continued onward as well, alongside Ripper and Bubbles.
“You know, Tom… even if you try to hide it, there are some things that you can’t just conceal… like your rage,” Andrea began, flailing around again in order to see if her hands would finally break loose—and she was in for a rude awakening; because right then and there her right hand smacked her across the cheek! “Ouch! Stupid little… hey. Hey, look!” she continued, turning around on the spot and showing Tom what had just happened. For whatever reason, the “thing” that was gluing her hands together had finally broken loose; and she was now free to use both her hands again! “Finally. Gah. I don’t even want to begin on how to get around with my hands acting up like they’re in some paper trap…” she muttered, wringing them out and then examining them in the pale light that her Ponyta’s mane was giving off. She was just making sure that she hadn’t brushed her hands on the walls or anything…
After a few moments of silence, she looked up and then sighed out of relief. “Hey… at least the scratching noise is gone now…” she remarked, noticing that the faint, scratching noises they’d heard earlier (while walking forward) was no longer following them. However, the peace would be short-lived… as she rounded the next corner and her face then defaulted into her “oh crap” look. “T-tom…” she stammered, slowly backing away and almost bumping into her Milotic who was waiting for her to come back after checking the corner… “…would you believe me if I told you… that I’m afraid…?” she continued, before the voice began echoing all around them; it was like Mothra and C’thulhu had chased them down from earlier; and had brought out more of their friends from the creepy side to play with them!
“Mime… mime… mime…”
“DID I EVER TELL YOU I HATE CLOWNS?!” she shrieked, continuing to back away—almost crashing into him in the process; before the fear totally and completely overtook her as the weird chanting noise drew closer…

As Thomas fled the area with Andrea, he noticed that the flashlight in his hand started to flicker to life. Thomas started to shake the thing until it came back to the point where it was good as it was going to get. And he could see that Andrea had finally freed her hands from whatever it was that glued them together. So with the flashlight operable once again, on top of his sister being freed from her mysterious predicament, it seemed like the two could truly get a move on.
However, just as Andrea spotted the abomination that looked like a Mr. Mime, Thomas managed to shine his flashlight on it. The look on his face was priceless. It was a mix of shock, and somewhat of disgust. It was the body of a Mr. Mime, but it looked even more like a clown.
There was only one conclusion....
"Holy fucking Rayquaza, is that... is that a fucking mime clown!?", shouted Thomas out loud.
At this point, the entire group immediately bolted from where they were, with Ripper once again carrying Bubbles through the forest after their master, and his older sister.
It seems that you lost the thing that's been chasing you, that is until you're surrounded by a thick fog and suddenly transported back 2 spaces... right where the thing that's been chasing you is standing. Have fun!
After taking the lead in running past the freakish, red-and-white colored freakish clown, she looked to her side to check if the Milotic and the Ponyta were still running—thankfully, they were—and as they tore through the place, she was screeching all the while, “Gardemmit, I hope we get out of this hell hole soon!” as she took the lead, running through the dimly-illuminated “corridor”. However, just up ahead, the Thaddeus siblings didn’t realize that they were headed right into a trap...! As she continued to dash forward, eager to put as much distance between herself and the freakish red-and-white clown as possible, a sudden explosion of mist—which was apparently thickening into fog, began swirling around her and her Pokémon! She didn’t know what was happening, but she then stretched her hand out into the fog, screaming all the while, “Tom… TOM! Stay with me! I don’t want us to get separated!” as the fog wrapped her (and her companions) in its embrace… and she then felt her feet go out from underneath her.
As she came to a crash-landing (her balance gone out of whack as she felt herself almost kissing the ground), Andrea then pulled herself up—thankfully the Ponyta and Milotic had landed right-side up… but the extremely listless look on her Fire Horse had told her that they’d appeared somewhere a bit more ominous. That’s when the weird chanting then returned in full force, and she could feel it to her very core.
“Mime… mime… mime…!”
“What…” she stammered as she slowly looked around… and then came face-to-face with the exact same freak of nature that they’d run away from just earlier! “SCHEISSE!” she screeched, quickly peeling herself up and off the ground and then looking around wildly—where was her younger brother at?!

The good news was that the duo had managed to lose the 'mime clown', as Thomas had described it. However, none of that would matter after what came next. The two of them, focused only on getting away from the abomination, ran right into a trap. Before they knew it, the duo and their Pokemon would find themselves being enveloped in a mysterious fog. Thomas, Ripper, and Bubbles made it as close to Andrea and her Pokemon as they could before the fog ultimately enveloped the two.
The effects of the fog took them right back to the 'mime clown.'
"Rayquaza! Of all the shit that had to happen tonight!!", screamed Thomas as he urgently scrambled to his feet, along with Ripper and Bubbles. The trio then bolted away from the abomination as fast as their legs could carry them. Well, in Bubble's case, she was being carried by the Scizor.
