This was one of the few nights he had left before he would set out to get some important, and very personal business done. That was setting off for the Hoenn Region, back home to "negotiate" with his father over the arranged marriage he forced onto him. Aside from being extremely furious with this turn of events, Thomas was also surprised. After doing some research, he couldn't find any records of arranged marriages among the family. But then, he would chalk that up to Rain's mother making him some extremely good offer. He had little faith in his family anyway.
In order to somewhat enjoy his time in Castelia before he would descend back into "hell", Thomas would head to one of the bigger nightclubs in the city. Though he usually hated such settings, he actually had connections to this place. After multiple deals involving the owner's nephews and nieces, Thomas was allowed to frequent the place for alcohol without an ID. It was the only place Thomas had such connections in the city, and in all honesty, it was something he enjoyed being connected to.
Thomas, dressed up in a green t-shirt, blue jeans, brown boots, black gloves, along with his belt full of Pokeballs, set out towards the club. The trainer's gloved hands were buried into his pockets as he casually walked along the street. It was a surprisingly nice summer night. While it wasn't too hot outside, it also wasn't too cold. It seemed to be "just right" in that respect.

little brother / Ohaithar / tailing you!
Andie here, on the other hand, had just returned from a few excursions from the Desert Resort—or whatever that ungodly hot place was called. There was sand in her boots, sand in her scarf; hell there was even grit in her clothes! Ugh, this is just disgusting! I need a bathroom, and fast! She thought to herself, this irritable look on her face as she passed by the walking citizenry. Most of them were people who had either just gotten off from work, or were headed out to some weird party that they were invited to. Much as she wanted a Casteliacone, she’d heard the rumors that it was always out of stock during summertime, and that was just the extent of her bad luck so far. “Man, this is so annoying…” she grumbled to herself as she scratched at her shoulders; trying to get rid of the itchy feeling as she skated past people who were rushing by her.
This place is way too busy, even during the evening… hmm, maybe I should go check out the Concert Hall over in Nimbasa tomorrow? She thought to herself as she looked around the sights, trying to find a cheap place to spend the night in; and get a warm shower and change her clothes! Really, this is so annoying… she continued to herself as she walked around people; very nearly missing the guy who had a green shirt on. That made her stop from her musing… and turned around so that she could take a closer look at him. Why does he look familiar… she thought to herself as she then decided to try and tail the guy, wherever he was going. It was the messy mop of short brown hair that had caught her attention, too; she then did a neat and silent quarter-turn and changed direction ever-so-smoothly, trying not to draw too much attention to herself as she trailed the figure who apparently, had a clear destination in mind.

At first, Thomas failed to notice the person who had noticed him and started to tail him. From where she detected him, there were quite a few people walking that path. It wouldn't be until about a quarter of the way to the nightclub, Thomas would take a sudden turn onto a much less populated street that would act as a sort of shortcut to the nightclub. This was where Thomas started to hear footsteps from behind him, boots.
At first, Thomas pretended not to notice, hoping the person wasn't following him. However, paranoia kicked in, worried that he might be in for another mugging, just like four years ago. The trainer discretely wrapped his fist around a roll of pennies stashed in his pocket, filling out his fist as he walked. Once they were nearing the end of the street, Thomas could still hear them walking behind him. He pulled his hands out of his pocket, and turned to face his follower, his right hand balled up into a fist, concealing the roll of coins he had filling it out. His left hand hovered over the Pokeball containing Ripper the Scyther.
However, upon recognizing that hair, and those eyes, Thomas' eyes were filled with a mix of shock and anger. A part of him assumed that their parents sent her to pick him up much earlier than what was said on the note. He feared that someone must've tipped them off about his efforts to call things off, so they were trying to hasten the process before he could stop it.
He was speechless. He didn't know what to say to his sister, or couldn't utter a thing. It had been six long years. And unfortunately, he knew things were about to get ugly, very ugly.

lil' bro / I'm not evil / yikes!
Keeping up with the figure she was tailing was relatively easy; since there were less and less people going in that specific direction; therefore she had to distance her steps as slowly as she could manage—not that it would matter, since she was walking as quietly as she could. When the individual suddenly veered off and went down an alleyway, however, was when things were starting to get interesting. Ooh my, having a shady deal or something? She thought to herself, a conceited look on her face for a few moments, before rearranging her features into something that looked puzzled, yet poker-faced. Or meeting some girl I don’t want to know about…? She continued to herself; in her excitement she’d forgotten to deaden her footsteps; and it was too late to realize that her steps were now echoing around the quiet little alleyway—and that’s when the figure she was tailing turned around, a bit apprehensively; but otherwise the feeling that she could pick up from him was pretty dark.
It was familiar, yet hostile and dangerous at the same time.
The moment she caught sight of his eyes; everything seemed to come crashing down. There he was. There he is! Not yet fully-grown, certainly, but has a posture so designed to… wait a second what the hell! She thought, looking at his right hand balled up into a fist; the left hovering over a certain Pokeball at his waist. Her own right hand had instinctively reached back towards where she kept her collapsible staff while her left hand suddenly moved up in a defensive stance; but the first words she blurted out, were her attempt to at least diffuse the mood. “Tom… Thomas?!” she exclaimed, her crimson eyes boring into his own emerald-green ones. “I… I never thought you’d be here in Unova,” she began, trying to diffuse the situation, yet her eyes could tell things were going to get nasty. “How… how have you been?” she continued, unable to hide the surprise in her tone at this point.
Her instinct was telling her to be on her guard, however, as her own left hand hovered ever so slowly down to her skirt pocket, ready to reach in and grab Max’s Pokeball if necessary. She had a feeling things would get really ugly if she didn’t prepare herself to defend…

Despite there being several years of change between the two, both of them were able to recognize the other. However, aside from the shock of her mark actually detecting her, she seemed surprised that it was her little brother. This raised questions with the boy, who thought she was here to drag him back to Hoenn. If she didn't truly know it was him, then why was she tailing him? And as he got a better look at her, he noticed she was covered in sand. Obviously, she had been on Route 4, possibly the Desert Resort.
Was she not here on their behalf?
It looked like he might lower his guard, he opened his mouth again, attempting to utter something to his sister.
"You mean... you're not here.... for them?", Thomas slowly and cautiously asked her. She would notice that he did not speak in that usual timid manner he spoke in when they were children, but in a cautious, paranoid tone.
His hand floated away from the Pokeball, but at the same time, he had trouble putting his hand back into his pocket to store the coin roll.

At least Andie’s attempt to diffuse the situation had worked; instead of him going all hostile and flat-out attacking her, he looked at her out of curiosity and surprise—as if he wasn’t expecting to see her there. “Them?” she began; before thinking to the latest information that she’d received. “Oh, you mean for our parents? I… I haven’t been home for some time now; they only update me with messages they send from Hoenn. I’ve been on the road for the last eight, nine years or so. Mom even cut off my personal access to the family fortune when I turned fourteen, though I didn’t find out about it until I was almost fifteen,” she said with a hint of bitterness in her tone. “She… she said that if I wanted to succeed, I’d have to do everything myself. That was such a shock for me, you know,” she continued, unable to keep the bitterness out of the voice. Then, without warning, everything… just spilled out.
“Do you have any idea that I’ve been trying to keep an eye out for you all this time? After they told me you ran away from home that fateful day—I’ve been trying to keep an eye out for you. But it seems that our journeys were never meant to cross paths. I did find out about something that happened in Kanto though… something that happened to you,” she trailed off haltingly, lowering her right hand from the ‘secret’ area where she’d kept the collapsible staff on her person; yet her left hand was still hanging over her skirt, just in case things got nasty. “I’ve been trying to make my own travel money. It’s hard being a Coordinator without any way to showcase your talent you know,” she continued, secretly rolling her eyes at their mother’s warped methods of making them ‘learn’ their profession. “Uhhh… Sarah’s been under Dad’s tutelage for some time now; so I haven’t heard much from her. And what do you mean by ‘I’m not here for them’? Honestly… I really don’t know much what they’re up to now,” she ended, noticing that the way that he’d spoken the words were not the same way she’d heard him speak back when they were kids.
“Also, quit being paranoid, why are you afraid of your own sister?” she added a few moments later, an attempt to diffuse his unsettling aura away from what could possibly erupt into a fight if she didn’t handle things properly!
Post by Thomas Thaddeus on Jun 24, 2014 2:03:02 GMT -5
Upon hearing her confused tone, Thomas' eyes widened in shock. How did she not know of the little arrangement that happened recently? Was she acting, or did their parents keep the kids out of the loop? Was it a surprise, or was there indeed more to this than meets the eye? Still, he didn't quite trust her intentions fully, but with her coming from Route Four instead of directly from the port, it helped her case a little.
When she mentioned the state of things with the family, including how she got cut off from the fortune, with bitterness, Thomas rolled his eyes, discretely storing the roll of coins in his pocket, attempting to mask its presence from his sister.
"Join the club, sister. I've never had access to the fortune...", remarked Thomas nonchalantly. He always had to work for his money, but judging from where he currently stood, that was a good thing. Though not nearly as big as the Thaddeus family fortune, his own fortune he earned on his own was starting to shape up rather nicely. The current business venture was truly what one would call striking gold.
In any case, the girl started to just pour from there. Though Thomas felt like walking off to the club right there, until she mentioned the Kanto incident, rather haughtily. The trainer's eyes widened with shock.
"How much do you know about this!? What do you know about this!?", Thomas inquired in a purely panicked state.
With the way she said that, he had the feeling that she'd somehow use that against him. And of all the things that one could turn against him, that was among the most painful. There was hardly a night where he didn't suffer nightmares of that incident, trapped in the body of his younger self, aware of what would befall him, but unable to stop himself from letting it happen. Especially how it all ended.
When she mentioned her plight, he just looked at her. "What a shame.", Thomas replied to her. Frankly, as someone who never had access to the funds, he really couldn't sympathize with her at all. Especially not after the haughty way she addressed what went down in Kanto.
When she told him to stop being paranoid, his gaze turned into a glare. "I don't know who to trust anymore. Never really knew any of my family, not my parents, not my sisters. And the way you brought up... the incident makes me question your motives.", Thomas told her.
The trainer pulled a folded note out of the other pocket, and handed it to her. "If you seriously don't know what I'm going on about with our parents, read this. And keep it in tact at least, I'm going to bring it to them in a few days to... talk about it.", Thomas told her.
She would find a letter telling Thomas that he was to be married to one Lorraine Hasan, specifying a date when he should arrive, and that if he doesn't make it, they'll take him by force. It was the reason why he was so worried about her presence in the city. It was signed by both parents, in their handwriting.

Noticing that he had rolled his eyes in her direction, the look of outright shock changed to what was her best attempt at a glare. “You don’t sass me, I saw that you know,” she began, indicating that she had indeed noticed his action of rolling his eyes in her direction. A few moments later she began to scratch at her arms, feeling the sudden stickiness of the grit against her skin. “Urrrrgh. I hate that Desert Resort. Always blowing sand around everywhere. Is there even a time when the weather is not that horrible out there…” she muttered to herself, scratching her arms quite liberally for a few moments before going back to his expressions—and boy was she surprised to hear his tone suddenly revert to something quite panicked! “How much do I know?” she began, still scratching her arms. “Let me see… only the fact that it made the Viridian news, and that it was the latest in a string of mugging incidents that have run rampant about the city. I just found out quite recently though that the person… or individual who’s been up to this shenanigans had just been caught,” she added, still scratching fervently at her arms, wishing the itchy feeling would go away.
She then stamped her foot, as if trying to get rid of some of the grit that had somehow made its way in her shoes; the itchy feeling was literally everywhere. Hence, the need for a shower and a change of clothes. Ughhh… she thought to herself, hearing his own voice snapping back at her. “Well, don’t blame me if I sounded haughty. Have to assert myself against sleazy perverts who are always out to make a quick buck off girls like me…” she continued, scratching quite liberally on her shoulders now; because that was the point where a lot of sand had irritated her. At his next few words, she eyed the piece of paper that was being handed to her, and then scooped it up, unfolding and then reading the words that had been written across its surface. Quite noticeably, her eyes became more and more stony-looking as she proceeded down the paper; but the damning evidence was the signatures of their parents at the bottom. “Huh. Seriously, I have never heard of anything like this. We… well, Mom and I haven’t talked in a while, not after that stunt she did… Dad’s been trying to contact me but I just… hang up on him, either it’s because I’m busy, or I’m just not in the mood to talk to them. They still send me updates though…” she said, folding the paper and handing it back to him, before fishing out her mobile phone.
She then began scrolling through the messages, before coming to a specially-labeled folder that had messages coming from mostly her father, asking her to come back home to Hoenn; other ones had him pleading with her to pick up the phone. Yet there were still other messages about pointless banter—like what Sarah was up to, how disappointed he was with her when she refused to be trained to be a Ranger, things like that. “He’s using his old argument against me again. Why didn’t I become a Ranger like him. I’m not cut out for that crap,” she continued, flipping the phone in his direction so that he could take a look.

Thomas saw his older sister glare at him for rolling his eyes at her. However, he wasn't intimidated in the slightest. When she commented on his sass, the trainer didn't seem at all apologetic. "Right, because I was clearly trying to hide that.", Thomas flatly replied to her, his sarcasm practically in her face at that point.
When she started to scratch herself, he didn't seem to react with anything. He had seen this plenty of times, people improperly dressed for the desert, especially the sandstorms. She then complained about it. "Didn't you travel through Hoenn at some point? I mean, when I did, I had to cross through that one fucking desert on Route 111. Either way, you should really look into some clothes that are adequate for the desert.", Thomas told his older sister, though in a way where he was trying to help her for once.
Hell, even if he still had to take a shower, the fact that he had lighter clothes that covered his body, allowing the sunlight not to take such a heavy toll on him, while being warm enough to withstand the freezing nights helped him in the long run.
When she told him the person who mugged him was captured, he was surprised by this revelation. He was hoping they would be able to evade the law long enough for Thomas to get to them himself. But then, with the singular way she mentioned the arrest, it could've either have been just one arrest, or just a casual mistake in her speech.
"Which newspaper printed these stories?", asked Thomas urgently, pulling out a cellphone that would allow him to search the internet.
Thomas was surprised to hear this from his sister. Did she really take being cut off that personally? Granted, he never was close to either of his parents, and it was a shock that his older sister acknowledged his existence. He didn't know what to expect of Sarah. But in any case, reading the messages did reveal quite a bit about the two. He had no idea that their father tried to get Andrea to be his successor. Question was: why'd they just skip over him?
"Well, mind if I ask for dad's number then? I'm going to see if I can't give him a call. As for your little problem right now, head to my apartment for a shower. I'll call person at reception to tell her that you're coming, and are allowed to enter my apartment. Just make sure you have your own supplies, change of clothes, washes, all that.", Thomas told her. "But if you want, feel free to just drop your old clothes in the hamper, I'll be doing laundry after I come home, so if you do it, just pick it up in the morning.", Thomas told Sarah.
Call it sympathy for what she had to go through, possibly an attempt to make it up to her for his rude introduction, but Thomas wanted to at least do something for her, knowing that it might help him in this situation.

Geez, stop being so sarcastic in my face, you’re sassing me so hard. I’ll let it slide… for now, she thought to herself as he then went on about the Desert Resort; and his retort surprised her. “Huh. Wait a second. You had to go through the desert? Which route did you take anyway? When I passed through that before you did, the alternate route was fine; don’t tell me it collapsed or something…” she said, remembering the route that ran adjacent to the desert, where this seedy camera crew liked to hang out for a while, trying to ambush some Trainers for a taped battle interview. It had taken her a while to evade them; but she had managed to get around them just fine. Once he’d found out about the guy getting caught though, she watched with a hint of amusement on her face as his own expression turned to a panicked, if somewhat excited look.
“Okay, wait lemme see,” she began, falling silent for a few moments before going through her own phone as well. “Ah, here it is,” she said a few moments later, finding the message from the Kanto Coordinator that had sent her the news. “Well, apparently it made the Viridian Daily, and that’s the city’s local newspaper. It also had a byline in the Saffron News as well,” she continued, flipping her phone around so that he could see the details that also included the date that the news had broken out, just so he could see it for himself. At the question of asking for their father’s number, she then cringed internally, before reaching around in her pockets and then writing something down on a sheet of paper. After a few more moments of silence, she then ripped it off the small notepad she’d carry around with her and handed it to him; there were several numbers listed on it. “Well, apparently he has a ‘public’ and ‘private’ line now, so I’m giving you both of those numbers. Good luck,” she said, knowing that from the way he was talking about him, there really was a lot of resentment coming from him. Hers was a little more on the… suppressed side.
When he’d offered the temporary solution to her rather itchy problem, she then looked at him with wide eyes; before blinking and then backtracking for a few moments. “Whoa. You sure? But… well, thanks, and really, I mean it,” she said, before adding on, “Well, don’t worry I have my own stuff with me. Don’t worry about me getting your things and all that, I brought as much as I could carry without having to lug around a huge stroller bag. That would look stupid,” she added, finally relieved that she could stop the itching. As she waited for him to place the call, she then decided to ask him, “So… where are you heading tonight? Looking for something to do?” hoping she’d get an answer out of him. She was trying her hardest to reconnect with him, since she didn’t have too many chances to actually interact with him when they were still much younger back home.

"Yeah, the road was blocked off by the time we got there. Had to take a detour through the small desert. And I've also been through Orre for some... jobs, aside from Route 4 and the Desert Resort.", Thomas told Andrea. Back then, Thomas did the research on good desert clothes, though Markus wore shorts and a beater. Thomas had to work for the money to get the clothes, since he lacked any sort of strength of his own. But after their little expedition, it was ultimately Markus who suffered for his poor choice in clothing via sunburn.
Thomas took the paper gently, and looked over the numbers before pocketing the paper. "I see. Thanks for that.", Thomas told her. He was still rather bitter on the subject, but was clearly thankful for her help in all this.
"Alright, and just to warn you, four of my Pokemon are at the apartment. Don't be alarmed if you hear the television, one of them likes watching television.", Thomas explained to her.
"And try not to be alarmed, but I'm heading down to the Limbo Night Club. After this alley, just take a left, and it should be on the other side of the street, huge neon sign being an obvious indicator. If you want, I could talk to the owner to let you in. I've got some connections to the owner, so he lets me get booze despite my age.", Thomas told his older sister, hoping he didn't nail himself in the foot just now.

“I didn’t know Hoenn could change so much in that short amount of time…” she muttered, noting that he’d already gone to Orre, a region where she hadn’t set foot in yet. Well, I haven’t gone to Kalos myself so this is going to be a long hard slog uphill… she thought to herself as he took the paper from her and pocketed it; she could still feel the air was tense around him, but it was starting to mellow out. At the mention of the ‘mons in his apartment, and one of them liked watching television, a smirk threatened to flash across her face at that very moment. Rearranging her features so that said smirk would not flash in his line of vision, she continued, “Well, looks like some of these guys can hang out with them then,” and then took note of the address of where he was headed. Normally, older sisters would tell off their younger siblings about drinking, but Andrea wasn’t that kind—because even she had a few secrets of her own.
“Right, I’ll see you down there later. Just make sure I can get in without being accosted; even if I’m already overage,” she said with a grin, turning around and waving in his direction before heading out to the apartment complex. She knew she had to get that bath done quickly; otherwise she’d end up scratching all the way to the next region. At least I had the foresight to bring a lot of stuff with me in this backpack of mine; she thought as she followed the instructions and then entered to see the reception desk. “Ah, so yo’re Miss Thaddeus? Surprising that Thomas has a sister. Never told us too much about his family,” the girl at the counter said, handing her a set of extra kes for her to use. “Well,” she began in reply, scratching her head quite sheepishly, “…let’s just say it’s been a while since we’d actually talked and stuff. Thanks for the keys,” she said with another wave, finding the elevator bank and punching in the number for his floor. After an uneventful elevator ride and locating the door, she opened it with the key…and was not surprised to hear that the television was indeed turned on. Slipping down the hallway and finally locating the shower, she then decided to let some of her team out for a ride, eventually plunking down the female Audino she had with her, as well as the Gothita that had crossed her path.
As the two materialized, she then waved in the direction of the television, before saying, “Uhhh… just… just go and relax, okay? I’ll be back in a few hours. I… I have some catching up to do,” she said with an affectionate head pat on the two ‘mons, and they proceeded to amble away into the living room. She wasn’t expecting someone on the toilet though; and upon opening the door to the bathroom area, almost shrieked when she saw a cute teddy bear seated on the covered toilet! “Holy… what are you doing in here?” she asked the bear ‘mon, looking at it before gently moving it down and off the bowl, and then very gently shooing it out of the bathroom. “I… I need some privacy, sorry…” she trailed off as she then gently closed the door and began getting to do her usual rituals.
After she was done (and had tossed the gritty clothes in the hamper as he’d suggested for her to do) she then pulled on another set of clothing; quite similar to what she had on earlier, only in a different shade. To add for warmth, she slid on a sweater vest before bending over and pulling on a pair of white stockings and then tapping her boots over the now-open toilet, ridding it of sand. “Ugh. Need more shoes,” she muttered to herself as she finished one boot and then did the other one; before making a mental note to wear them once she was outside the bathroom. Since her hair was still wet and glistening from the brown hair color she’d decided to slap on it (her hair was black, if in case he didn’t see in the alleyway) she decided to leave it long and loose, ditching the scarf and tossing it in the hamper as well before picking up her backpack and then shuffling out of the bathroom. Curious to see as to what was going on, she then decided to peek in the living room… and what she saw surprised her.
Apparently, both of her ‘mons had somehow managed to find their way there; and her Audino was now seated next to another Audino who was apparently doing some “channel-surfing” on the television; and she resisted the urge to break out into a fit of the giggles. She then saw that her Gothita was now staring out of the window, trying to look for something in the sky; and the little bear she’d sent out of the bathroom was also there, seemingly playing chase with a small, bluish rabbit-like ‘mon that she had never seen anywhere. There was also something that was pink and egg-shaped, and it appeared to be coming in and out of the kitchen, pushing a bag of chips. “Oh boy,” she said with a grin, taking note of what was going to happen before leaving the apartment and locking the door behind her. She then made her way back down and out of the complex, and retraced her steps before following the rest of the directions and finally finding the bar; which had “Limbo” in flashing, glaring red neon hanging over its entrance. What a way to call attention, she thought to herself as she then opened the door and slipped inside, surprised to find out that she wasn’t stopped for identification.

Thomas was shocked when his sister didn't yell at him for his drinking. He expected her to put up some kind of fight about it. But instead, she just told him to make sure she could get in without any problems. The trainer nodded to her. "Just look for a big dude with a shaved head. He's the bouncer, and just tell him your name. I'll tell him to let you in the room they usually have me drinking in.", he told Andrea.
"See you there!", Thomas called out to her as he walked off in the direction of the bar.
---------------------
Pulse, Bliss, Tena, and Bubbles were all at home tonight. Though Thomas would normally carry Bubbles on his person for battles, the blue Aquamouse wanted to play with the others, and it wasn't like Thomas didn't have means to defend himself otherwise.
As Thomas' sister came in, the Audino managing to make out the keys being turned, Pulse was watching television, leaning towards it while sitting on the couch. Bliss and Bubbles were playing in another room together. For some reason, Tena was sitting on the toilet. Perhaps she just wanted a moment alone. Perhaps she just liked sitting on the sealed toilet.
In any case, when the strange girl came in and shooed her out, the Teddiursa let out a cute cry, and headed for Bubbles and Bliss. As she passed, she noticed the Gothita and the second Audino, probably belonging to that girl. She shrugged, and headed into the room where Bubbles and Bliss were playing in.
After the shower, Bliss decided to be helpful, and get the two Audino a snack, while Tena and Bubbles played a game of chase nearby. And by the time the girl walked out, Tena playfully tackled the Marill, both giggling happily before the Happiny reached the couch. She was unable to lift the bag up to the two Audino's level, or get up there herself. Thankfully, Tena and Bubbles were there to notice, with the former taking the bag, and putting it in between the two Audino. Bubbles, thanks to what had to be super strength, was able to effortlessly lift Bliss up to the couch. Tena was able to get up there with little trouble, as was Bubbles.
And then, the four watched television with their new friend.

At the bar, Thomas was greeted by the bouncer, who recognized him. After a short exchange, Thomas headed up to the owner's office. While waiting for his sister to arrive, he spoke with the owner, telling him about his situation with the marriage, and his encounter with his sister. This also served to tell the man that his sister would be over to drink with him.
By the time Andrea came in, the bouncer noticed. He would be the same man that Thomas described, the one that escorted him to the owner's office. "Your name, please?", asked the man. If she were to tell him, as Thomas instructed, she would be escorted to a more secluded room of the bar. Though she would be alone for a moment, Thomas, and the owner, would soon enter with her. A few tables were there, along with a smaller bar.

Now that she’d arrived at the area, she tried her best to squint around in the darkened area; since she couldn’t make out anything too much under the lowered light conditions. What she was not expecting however, was to almost bump into a guy—was this guy the bouncer that Thomas had told her about? Her suspicions were confirmed correct since he (or was it a she? Andrea couldn’t tell due to the gloomy lighting) asked for her name; she then straightened herself up and said in a low voice, “It’s Andrea Thaddeus, I believe my brother Thomas Thaddeus is waiting for me somewhere…” she continued, hoping that this was the right individual. While waiting to be either kicked out of the bar or otherwise shown to wherever he was waiting, she took a look around and saw that mostly, it was just a bar, where people were drinking either at the counter, or hunched over at the bar area itself with several bartenders sweeping over them, re-pouring alcoholic drinks for those poor, unfortunate and depressed souls that were lingering there.
Wonder what other secrets he’s got to hide, she thought to himself as she cast her stare at some of the booths, where there were either loners poring themselves even more drinks—not minding the numerous bottles that were already littered across the table—or either bunched up together with sleazy-looking females. At the last one, she gave an internal shudder, and was secretly glad she’d chosen to appear here dressed in something similar to what she was wearing when she’d encountered her brother earlier, and not something that was too revealing!

Upon identifying herself, the bouncer communicated into his earpiece, holding down the button. "She's here.", he said to the person on the other side. After a moment, with the sound of chatter that could only be made out from the earpiece, the bouncer responded. "Right away, sir..", he said to the other person.
"This way, please.", the bouncer said as he took her to the private room of the bar. The man ignored all of the other patrons. They were all the same to him for all he cared.
The private room, despite its current state of dim lighting, was more spruced up than the main area. It seemed like this was a room for entertaining some of the special guests around the area. And Andrea could most likely make out that somehow, Thomas had gotten close enough to the owner to even get into this area of the bar. And for a few moments, the girl would be alone as the bouncer walked out.

As the two were chatting, a radio sounded off in the room.
"She's here.", said the voice on the other side.
The owner smiled, and pressed the button on the radio.
"Excellent, send her to the private room. We'll be there soon.", the man told the bouncer.
He then turned his attention to Thomas. "Well, we shouldn't keep her waiting~", the man said as he got up from his chair, with Thomas following. The two of them then headed down to the private room.

After arriving, Thomas walked through the door Andrea took, while the owner went in through a backdoor, turning on the lights of the room, giving Andrea a better view of the place.
"Nice to see you joining us, sis.", Thomas told the girl with a smirk as he took a seat at the bar.
The owner, a middle aged man dressed rather casually, and oddly, for the owner of a popular night club, like he was more in line for a metal concert. Long graying black hair, a t-shirt with the cover art for an older metal album, black jeans, and black boots, emerged from the backroom.
"Thomas here never told me he had a sister. I'm the owner of this place, Zed. So what can I get you to drink?", he asked Andrea.
