EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.

At this point, nothing surprised her anymore. The barrage of Stone Edge was blasted away by the Blastiose's double Hydro Pump. Theseus hovered around in the air, seemingly stumped just like Amber. She was getting slightly frustrated. A mixture of frustration and annoyance. She couldn't sit around and deal with tanks, that just wasn't her. The battle had to keep moving for her to get into it. It was well out of her battle style, and not a good change of pace. However, she had to sigh and stop to think.
What could she do? Fang didn't work. The Blastiose had too many moves that could be used to dodge and Fang just wasn't quick enough to gain the distance in time. Theseus was having a hard time already, when he really shouldn't have. Her other Pokemon just didn't have any moves to deal with the Blastiose either, or the speed. So it left her with two options. Fang or Theseus. She scratched her head and shook it, snapping her out of her thoughts and gritted her teeth. That was enough thinking. For now, she'd just have to try and wear the Blastiose out. Maybe if she played stupid she could get a chance.
"Power up! Then Stone Edge and Heat Wave." Amber said. The Salamence responded by circling around in the air with a dark aura surrounding him. She didn't want Theseus speeding up too quickly, she feared the Gardevoir and its stupid Trick Room. Theseus then roared as rings appeared around him, sending a barrage of rocks at the Blastiose below. Followed by another wave of heat, tailing behind the rocks.
Salamence: 83% +1 Atk +1 Spd Used Dragon Dance. Used Stone Edge and Heat Wave!

Zernebog and his Blastoise had managed to turn this battle into one of attrition despite some blunders along the way on hindsight. There was really only one opinion that he had about such types of battles.
He hated them. With the passion that he reserved for hunting things down like that stupid red alien or his father. It was the most boring type of battle there was! If he hadn’t dyed the rest of his hair white so that they would all look uniform, then this battle might’ve turned them white from frustration anyway.
But… victory was far more important than the entertainment factor. If there was anything his mother’s side of the family taught him how to do, it was how to use anything and everything to his advantage.
If that involved playing this game of cat-and-mouse, then so be it.
That was why Zernebog made no attempt to stop Hydros’ next courses of action. Instead, he just watched his turtle as the guy took on a mirror-like sheen and then blocked the jagged pieces of stone headed his way. The turtle made no attempt to block the Heat Wave that followed behind it and instead let it wash over the mirror-like sheen covering his form with nary a grunt. The sheen then shattered around him, releasing a wave of heat right back at the Salamence at twice the power.
As he did so, the Blastoise then surrounded himself with rings of water to start rejuvenating himself again slowly. Tanking indeed.
NOTES
Battle Summary:Blastoise blocks Stone Edge with Hydro Pump and reflects back Heat Wave with Mirror Coat. Then he uses Aqua Ring to begin recovering HP again.

Should she even try to act surprised at this point? She figured no. The Blatiose had blasted through the Stone Edge, the torrent of water ripped through the rocks with ease. She had to count her blessings though. The Blastiose still took a bit of damage through the Mirror Coat. Something that Amber had to count on. But that hope was quickly shot down. The Blastiose suddenly summoned two rings that rotated around him, slowly healing up whatever damage Theseus did to him. It was a gradual heal, from what Amber remembered. But it seemed to have healed whatever Theseus had done, and even a bit more than that.
Amber shifted on her feet and stopped to think. What could she do? Theseus blasted back the Mirror Coat with his own Heat Wave again, something that he didn't need a command for anymore. The battle seemed to be going in circles. And Amber wasn't sure if she could break it. What options did she have? She could... she thought about it for a moment, an idea popping up in her head. If it had worked, then she would be in a better position. For now, though, she would have to play it slow and careful. Slow and steady won the race, so why should she be the Linoone that dashes for the finish line?
"Heat Wave and then Dragon Dance." Amber said, looking up at the Salamence in the air. He raised an eyebrow at her but wasted no time going into action. Once again, he fired off another wave of heat towards the Blastiose. By now, everyone expected for the same thing to happen again. After the wave passed he flew around in a circle, covering himself in a dark blue aura that raised his speed and attack. If this was going where Amber wanted it to, she would be in a good position.
Salamence: 83% +2 Atk +2 Spd Used Heat Wave to block Mirror Coated one. Used Heat Wave again and then Dragon Dance.

As expected, the mirrored Heat Wave was blocked by one of equal power. It was like a never-ending dance between the two. A dance of death. Why, the girl did nothing but to affirm his thoughts by sending another Heat Wave his way while dancing that familiar dance again. It was annoying, to be truthful, but he was the one who started it. Eventually he had to reap what he sowed, right?
Then it just went to show that he had to end it.
”Give ‘em hell, Hydros.” He spoke up for the first time in a little while as he watched the aforementioned Blastoise block the wave of heat with another conjured mirror before giving it back to its rightful owner.
Hydros perked up and grinned. He then jumped up as the Salamence was dancing and then tucked into his shell. Then he released water from all of the holes from his shell, not minding the fact that a distributing the water would weaken the hit, because what he was about to do next should more than make up for it.
He then started spinning, creating a massive ring of water that spanned the entire arena that cut through the earlier, very weakened pillar of rock that Achilles made as if it weren’t there and started shredding it, adding the rocks to the waiter and making it more deadly. Within moments, the ring turned into a massive vortex that took in all of the broken pieces of rock from all of the previous Stone Edge attacks at the bottom and spun it around as well on the bottom, making the vortex into a crude but probably highly effective blender of death.
Despite the roar of the water, Zernebog could hear the crowd from his side of the field, but barely. While he could hear the crowd ooh’ing and ahh’ing for the first time in the fight, Zernebog was just glad he was out of the range of the vortex. The small bits and pieces of rock he could see from it looked pretty nasty.
NOTES
Battle Summary:Blastoise reflects back Heat Wave with Mirror Coat. Then he uses a combo of Rapid Spin and Hydro Pump to create a giant twister of water around the entire arena.

The circle continued, the Heat Wave was mirror coated and it was blocked by another. That didn't change this turn as Theseus continued to attack and block. However, the Blastiose did something that surprised both of them. It actually attacked. Amber smirked and lowered her gaze. It was about time that her opponent actually did something. Her patience paid off. "Ehhh, it's about time." She muttered to herself.
The Blastiose suddenly withdrew its limbs and shot off a Hydro Pump from each hole. As it spun, a large water twister was suddenly created in the arena. It picked up the rocks and shards from before, taking the Stone Edge's shards and the large Stone Edge that his own Garchomp had used. The twister quickly grew in size, which meant Theseus had to move quickly. Thankfully, his speed was already raised from the previous Dragon Dances. He shot up in the sky quickly, avoiding the twister of water below. As long as it was, there was still air above them. Which meant Theseus could still dodge it. He stare down at the Blastiose, the eye of the storm was calm and showed exactly where the Blastiose was. It was still spinning, which meant it was vulnerable to an attack. The Salamence roared and flapped his wings forward, creating a large blast of wind that shot downward into the eye of the storm and the spinning Blastiose.
Amber had to admit, the Hydro Pump and Rapid Spin combo was something that was horrifying. But it still had its weak points. Namely that there was no roof above them, which meant her flying Pokemon had all the room to move. Plus, the eye of the storm left the Blastiose open to an attack. However, she had to keep in mind the Mirror Coat. But finally the battle was picking up, it was about time too. Now she just hoped it stayed that way.
Salamence: 83% +2 Atk +2 Spd Used Heat Wave to block Mirror Coated one. Dodged the Hydro Pump by shooting upward, avoiding it and staring down the middle of the tornado (eye of the storm) and shot off a Heat Wave down the middle.
