DEOXYS/THE CONCLAVE
875
”Well, fucking damn it. That white haired bitch is nothing but a bloody coward filled with bluster.”
Zernebog gritted his teeth as he stared down at the battle ensuing below them. Not only was the woman worse than useless, she decided to turn tail with her pokemon as well! Now his pokemon were out of a distraction! If there was anything he hated, it was an incompetent person trying to horn in on his turf and then running when bigger fish show up.
He took a deep breath and then slowly exhaled. ”Well… on the bright side that headache is out of the way. Now all we have to do is deal with these homicidal jerks and find out whatever the hell that orange thing was and we’re good as gold.”
”Haunter~?” Zernebog glanced at Erebus, who was grinning maliciously as he looked down at the fighting below.
He looked at Erebus for a few moments before shaking his head. ”No. Not yet. But….” He raised his other hand and smirked. ”I have another job for you.”
In his other hand was a pokeball, causing Erebus to peer at him curiously.
The ‘Arcanine’ smirked when she saw the strange brown thing move far away from him. He wasn’t about to let her get away but a beam of strange energy from the corner of his eyes was enough to make him change his mind and dodge it instead with a burst of speed by using Agility, moving himself closer to his target in the process.
He didn’t have to worry about Hyperion in the air because he knew the black dragon well enough to know that he would have dodged the Confusion attack that she sent his way. In fact, he got confirmation of just with the sound of wings beating in a familiar pattern he knew, one of a primordial dance that he’d learned a short while ago.
But he really didn’t have the time to focus on that because there was now a huge barrage of rocks headed his way in one direction and a strange purple cloud in another, courtesy of that stupid floating moon. He barked a loud laugh and then used Agility again to jump high up to avoid the purple gas and most of the wave of rocks. He managed to avoid the rest courtesy of a certain smirking black dragon who snatched him from the skies and lifted his currently-large and bulky form away from the rest of the rocks.
Hyperion then retaliated with a powerful stream of solar energy that quickly cut a path towards the Lunatone, intending to try and knock it out of the fight fast.
As he did so, the ground below the flying black dragon started to shake violently as a new creature entered the playing field, signified by a flash of white and then blue that was ignored by all but the Arcanine hoisted into the air until then.
Diomedes had just finished narrowly avoiding the spinning vortex of flames shot his way by that stupid floating sun from the side with a burst of blinding speed when the earth below them started to shake. His ears twitched when he felt the arrival of a very familiar aura on the battlefield- Perses, causing him to grin.
The cavalry had just arrived. However, he wasn’t engaging that floating sun unless he absolutely had to. Fires were not his thing. He’ll leave that to the two who can actually tank fire and laugh. Instead, he just calmed his mind down and waited for the Bronzong to make his move.
Earlier, Erebus had snuck in the din of the battle with a pokeball in hand after listening to his trainer. Or rather, one of his hands did the moving while the rest of the Haunter’s body stayed in place beside his trainer. The wonders of having detachable hands, indeed~! Sure he had to keep his eyes on it at all times, but it was really handy.
Once his hand was in position near the Xatu, the hand threw the pokeball and released the contents within before quickly snatching the now-empty pokeball out from the air and hightailing it out of there. No fanfare or declarations, just a quick drop-off.
Perses wasn’t one of those flashy types despite being what he was, so it was just fine for him. Besides, he made up for the lack of fancy fanfare in being summoned to the battlefield by making one hell of a ruckus as soon as he was summoned to said battlefield by moving his tail and creating a massive earthquake that ripped through the area and made the entire place even more unstable.
He then growled fiercely and released a wave of paralyzing electricity from his body headed straight towards the nearest thing he could see, which just so happened to be the Xatu, knowing that it would be one of those pokemon who wouldn’t be affected by the Earthquake.
After all, his trainer made his mission here clear. Eliminate all of the threats. And these were one hell set of a threat if they actually made Prometheus not want to face them.
More fun for him then.
