tinging still fresh in her eyes, Regina pulled her arm aside as she could feel the lights losing their intensity whilst the spotlights she'd set up finally settled into the unconventional amount of power available to her in the junk yard. To find a place like this, in Tynntil Town? And an owner willing to rent her some time for her musical practice? Now that, that was a chore. Of course, she considered herself quite the negotiator and with a few promises her and there and a good bribe, she was able to get herself a full night to practice her routine! Roll up, roll up - she'd gladly announce! There it was - the billboard she'd set up - with it's neon white and blue hues showing off the twin visages of a Furfrou and Absol, with the vibrant words 'Beauty & Beast || Disaster & Blessing" with her makeshift stage really just a clearing in the midst of the yard, a few lights set up here and there and - of course - she'd set up her latest experiment! Custom made fireworks and pyrotechnical effects, all a gift from her uncle in Kalos. It was good having family in the business, and doubly so when they were willing to send you things that go boom. How he got them there, she was yet to figure out, but certainly not looking that in the mouth.
Poor Marie, she was fidgeting all throughout the preparation, as Regina turned away from the lights and finished brushing her fur, the furfrou having been styled into her preformance fur, the red highlights of the classic kabuki style - in her eyes - quite a fitting contrast for the blue on Louis, who'd spent most of his preparation time fidgeting with the sunglasses she'd set upon his face and the bells she'd put at the ends of his frontal tuft. It all made him look quite fancy, as did dying it a particular shade of dark blue to match with the rest of him. He was in front of his boom mic, swaying and singing in between fidgets, loud yowling and growling sounds, complete with him tapping one of his paws and causing the bells to jingle. He'd actually gotten quite into it! Once she'd been freed from her pampered prison, Marie set herself on the opposite side of the stage by her own microphone, barking out into it.
"Well, glad you two are in the preforming mood today!" She slowly paced aside to the sound system she'd set up behind the 'stage', volume dial turned high, LED Screen displaying the musical track currently in the queue and speakers hissing before a dull thump would blast forth from them followed by the sound of her shoes knocking the stage, her hand ruffling her plaid skirt, adjusting the looseness of her black vest, unbuttoning it and allowing her wonderfully clashing button-up white shirt and purple tie to sway in the light wind, fingers flexing within their fingerless long gloves. Oh, she was ready for this now, more then ever. Taking up her mic, she would lift it high before calling out as the music slowly began to pick up.
"Bonjour, Tynntil Town! DJ Queenie's got a surprise for you - mes chers! Let's celebrate a good night with a kick-ass song! Louis! Marie! Find me by Night!"
And with that - and a flamboyantly flourishing pumping of her fist, the racks behind her shot off the sparks and flames that came with the faux explosions that rang out from behind her, showering the area up ahead with the pyrotechnic material. Ironically, had anyone actually attended, they'd be dead or on fire by now , as a few wandering trash bags were indeed starting to suffer! She was a little too preoccupied to notice, with her microphone up to her lips and a guitar and saxophone laden song blaring in the background , with the odd cry of her pokemon, she was busy singing!
"Find me by night, babe~
'Cause I've forsaken the day, yeah~
Life's just too sober,
Been feeling so tipsy,
With-
One trip one week to the night life!"
Whilst this went on, unbeknownst to her, some of the flaming trash bags did indeed seem to have a problem with her singing! That or being set on fire. For , indeed, a few of them seemed to shake and wriggle, their bodies extending to show hidden features and tendrils, rising up - the trubbish that were hiding amongst the garbage soon began to cry out in anger and anguish at being set aflame, with the larger pile to her side rising up, it's bags splitting open to reveal the roiling mass of an eel-mawed Garbodor, slowly waddling it's way forward towards her along with a few of it's rather angry friends. An act that, admittedly, she did not see coming - particularly because she kept going with her performance!

Josh was no Coordinator, of course. Though he was attempting to get into show-business somehow at the behest of a friend of his. Josh had been trying to break into the acting business, though things had been... Rather slow. Granted, he was a Pokemon Trainer as well, so it wasn't like he was actively spending his days looking for auditions and roles. His main job was traveling the world, catching, raising, training and battling with Pokemon all over the Nue region. And it was one that he enjoyed. It was what his parents did, and it was what he was doing now. And he wouldn't have it any other way. Still, his side projects, he had to admit... He could probably stand to put more time into them. He just wasn't sure how.
A flying Pokemon had been reported as landing in Tynntill City not too long ago with a Trainer on its back. That Trainer, of course, was the blonde haired Josh Dragomir. He stood 6'2, with long blonde hair, a muscular build, and brimming brown eyes. Those eyes gazed up into the blue sky, as he.... Dug into ice cream?
Yep. Josh and his partner, Lightning, a Pikachu, sat on a bench casually finishing two cones of ice cream. They had decided to take a break and stop at Tynntill for a bit of a light snack on the way back to the ranch.

f course, Regina continued to sing on, oblivious to the existance of anyone called Josh nor that htey were having their icecream anywhere nearby! Though he likely was getting a good earful of her music. The problem came, however, when one of the Trubbishes got close enough to alert Louis, who abandoned his singing to break into a snarl, backing off as he noticed them getting closer. Marie was second to notice, her partner's distress tipping her off to something being rather amiss. Slowly stepping back, she kept her head low and made her way towards Regina, who stopped mid song as one of her faithful pets nudged itself against her, mouth still open as she noticed - ah crap, giant angry rubbish is trying to kill me again for the third time this month. Soon realizing exactly what had just happened, she twirled her microphone and rather futily - and nervously - spoke up into it.
"I don't suppose you pokemon are here for an encore? No? Oh...well." She quipped, skipping back and narrowly avoiding the falling tendril of one of the assailants, knowing very well she might need a little bit of help here. Louis and Marie had already started fending them off, doing their best to keep them distant and await some orders. Making good use of her microphone, Regina called out to Marie first, just as she was recovering from a nasty pound!
"Keep them back, Marie! Show them you're a bad girl, growl and bare those teeth, mon cher!" Almost in reaction to her words, Marie growled loudly, causing some of the Trubbishes to actually think twice about attacking her , intimidated by her surprising ferocity for something so fancy.
Louis on the other hand, was eager to recieve his command. "Louis! Bare down on that one! Kick his trashy butt!" She quipped, swaying her hips and still dancing along to her song. Oh no - she was terrified. But she knew better then to show fear around pokemon as influential as Marie and Louis.
Speaking of Louis, he heeded her call and leered over one of the Trubbishes, who fell back into his pals , and before he could retaliate, Louis went in for a quick attack, striking down upon the monsterous bag with a quick butt of his head, tearing it slightly thanks to his curved fin and sending it back, gaining some distance. Things were not looking too good. They were vastly outnumbered.

Meanwhile, the duo of Josh and Lightning had finished their ice cream. "Chaaa~" Lightning chirped happily as he would finish his cone, bringing out a laugh from the blonde. "Are you seriously at your happiest when you're eating, Lightning? You really seem to be" The blonde would tease toward the Pikachu, who would flash his Trainer the biggest of grins, bringing out another joyful laugh from Josh. "Hey Lightning, have you heard the music playing out in the background? I wonder where it's coming from?" Josh would ask Lightning, who tilted his head. "Pika..." Lightning would let out as he got up. Josh would finish his cone as he got up as well. They'd eaten the whole thing, the ice cream, the cone, was there nothing that these two couldn't gobble up? Of course, curiosity got the better of them over time. They both took one look at each other before nodding, seeming to know exactly what the other was thinking. But it was when the lyrics suddenly turned into shouts of battle that Josh tensed up, with obvious concern on his face. They both looked at one another once again, before nodding again and taking off at a run toward the source of the noise.
Meanwhile, more Trubbishes seemed to be coming out of the woodwork. Before long, they had become quite outnumbered. Treading into their territory was one thing, but making all this racket was another! And it was obvious by the look on the face of their Garboder ringleader that they weren't going to take it lying down. Before long, Josh and Lightning would arrive, stopping when they noticed that this girl was fighting them off while... Still singing and dancing? For a moment, the blonde couldn't help but stare just a moment from behind her as she swayed her hips, but he shook it off when he saw more Trubbish coming out of the woodwork. This wouldn't do.
"Go, Gawain!" Josh called as he would bring out a blue Dragonite, with red wings. "Grrrooooo!" Gawain would let out as Josh would point at one of the Trubbish. "Dragon Claw!" Josh would quickly call as the Dragonite's claws would glow green before he would charge the Trubbish full speed, hitting it with a claw and sending it slamming into a wall. The Trubbish, and their Garboder ringleader, didn't seem happy about this whatsoever. Two more Trubbish would come the way of Josh and Gawain, and Josh smirked a bit. "Lightning, join the fray!" Josh would call as Lightning would leap off his shoulder. "Pika!" Lightning chirped as he would prepare for battle. "Quick Attack!" Josh would call as Lightning would zip through the air, crashing into one of the Trubbish and bounce up into the air. A Trubbish would send out a Gunk Shot toward Lightning, but Josh had a plan. "Counter it with Thunderbolt!" Josh called as Lightning would nod. "Pika.... CHUUUUU!" Lightning exclaimed as he would unleash a Thunderbolt that hit the Gunk Shot dead on, stopping it in its tracks.
"Rain Dance, Gawain!" Josh would call. "Groooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" Gawain would call out as storm clouds would erupt above them and the pouring rain began. "Perfect!" He let out with a grin. "Lightning! Gawain! Use Thunder!" Josh would call. "Pika..... CHUUUUUUUUUUUU! GRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Lightning and Gawain would let out as they both unleashed their respective Thunders into the sky, both which got caught in a storm cloud before the storm cloud would send out two lightning strikes that hit both of the targeted Trubbish head on! Josh's plan had worked to perfection, using Rain Dance to guarantee the accuracy of the two powerful electric attacks!
The Garboder would step forward, toward Josh, while Regina still seemed to be busy fighting off her own set of Trubbish. Josh could have almost sworn he saw TWO Garboder, but he wasn't 100% sure. "Alright Gawain, let's finish this! Use Twister!" Josh called. "Grooooooooooo!" Gawain would let out as he opened his mouth to unleash a Twister... But instead, it fired a golden ball-like missile into the sky!
".... Uh, Gawain?" Josh would call out as he stood back to back with Regina, fighting Pokemon on one side while she dealt with Pokemon on the other. ".... What the hell was that?" He would ask. He wasn't scolding him, of course. He was just curious, but then the missile split into a bunch of other missiles that came raining down!
".... Gawain, what the hell is that - WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!" Josh cried out, his eyes wide as he realized just what was going on! "GET OUT OF THE WAY!" Josh would call both to his Pokemon, as well as to Regina and her Pokemon. Josh would push Regina out of the way and jump back just as one of the Draco Meteor missiles hit the ground where they'd just been standing! It was raining missiles, everywhere! Some of the Trubbish were hit and taken out of commission, while others, along with the Garboder, ran for their lives! Some of the missiles even hit the fireworks that Regina had set up, setting them off and sending them flying into the evening sky to erupt into pretty fireworks! A few of the Trubbish were sent flying along with the fireworks as well when they were set off, and ended up caught in the blast. Eventually, the missiles stopped falling, and Josh took a breath.
"Is everyone alright?" Josh would ask everyone around him. "Pika!" Lightning chirped, seeming to be okay! "Groooo!" Gawain would respond. "Gawain, did you learn a new move?" Josh would ask the Dragonite, who whimpered with a nod. "Oh come on, don't be sad" Josh responded, with a small smile, a more soft tone this time. "I'm proud of you. That was Draco Meteor, wasn't it?" He asked the Dragonite, who nodded again. "Again, I'm proud of you. Just give me a little bit of warning next time, will you?" He would ask the Dragonite, who nodded. "Grooo!" He responded, before Josh looked back at Regina.
"Hey, miss. Sorry about your fireworks. Figured we'd come give you a hand when things got ugly" Josh spoke toward her. "I'm Josh by the way. This is Lightning, and Gawain" He said, referring to the Pikachu and Dragonite. "And-Great, we can talk later. Troubles come back for more" He spoke as he motioned to the Trubbish and Garboder group that had returned to the fray. Not all of them, of course. Some had run for their lives and weren't coming back for more. But these guys seemed angrier then before...
"So how'd you manage to piss these guys off?" Josh would ask curiously. "I mean, I doubt blowing them up helped, but Pokemon don't normally just attack in city areas for no reason, do they?"

ell, the dancing was certainly helping them keep their rythm! However she noticed one fundamental flaw - Marie and Louis were being pushed further and further back, and at this point it wouldn't be too long before they ended up slam dab against her with nowhere to run and angry proto-garbage beating them into the ground. However, a good entertainer keeps going until the last act. And she wasn't about to let two proud pokemon fall without getting their swan song. Should things all start to go song, Louis knew a swan song that the Trubbishes wouldn't be conscious to enjoy. Louis fell back as his body was literally tossed, struck by a resounding Double Slap from one of the Trubbishes, his feet thankfully catching him as he landed, his body looking sore as can be and moist with their slime. Marie wasn't quite as lucky, as she'd been about to intimidate yet another one of them with a mighty Growl, but her snarling was cut off by a spray of acid that suddenly erupted from the Trubbish's mouth, sending her yelping back with the burning substance hissing as it coated her body, burning at her under the fur and causing some of it to crackle, smoke pouring off her. As if this weren't enough, during her fall back, the Garboder seemed to be readying it's own Sludge Bomb, gathering various gunk off itself and readying it. However, that was until he caught sight of his target, the Furfrou having stared up at him with the most adorable Baby Doll Eyes, the radiance of her sweet, make-up enhanced gaze and fine red eyes seemingly appealing to the Garboder, who seemed to pause his attack.
"Frouf..." She managed to whine out, the act seemingly having worked! Didn't even need a command for that one, she was used to using those wiles. Mayhaps she had a good teacher.
"Looks like we won't be getting out of this one easily. Well...curtain has to come down some time, oui?" Regina seemed a little intimidated by the situation, her dancing having stopped, however she did still have music blaring and her lips to her microphone, stepping forward and pointing decisively towards Louis. "LOUIS!" She cried, attracting the weary Absol's attention for just a moment. "USE PERISH SO-"
Her order, however, was thankfully cut off by Josh's dynamic and rather wonderful interjection! It took her a moment to realize - and for Louis and Marie to work off their surprise, but it seemed someone had heard the commotion and came to help! And he was packing some GREAT pokemon! Normally this is where she stopped to compliment the other person on their fantastic choices, however considering how dire the situation seemed to be, that would need to wait for a little while. Wait. Was that another Garboder? Really? Well, it had to be fair somehow. Not that she considered being assailed by trash for giving good performance fair in the slightest!
"Rrrruwaah?!" Her Absol's rather annoyed cry snapped her out of her celebration, noticing that - yes indeed - the Trubbishes had broken out of their momentary stupor and were now advancing again, albeit having split up a little to help fight off two teams. With this in mind, the Absol and Furfrou stood closer to one another clearly rallying and readying for another attack.
"Looks like our chance! Marie! Dance the danse électrique!" Regina proclaims, the furfrou submitting to her order with a peppy "FRRRAUF!" and scooching back for naught but a moment before she went into a full on charge towards the Garboder, who'd been thrown off by a sudden Leer from the Absol, his newfound rage only barred by whom he should attack! His answer came in the form of a Gunk Shot, which struck the Absol right in the head, his claws digging into the dirt as he and his sore, sore head surged back, scraping a good couple of meters. He may have had time to release that bomb of his, however Marie had drawn close enough, the movement of her legs rather rapid and erratic. Her prim and decorated body suddenly became a fountain of yellow sparks, scorching the ground beneath her before she would rise up, baring her teeth as she leapt up into the air and right towards the Garboder at quite the speed, thankfully aided by the Rain Dance helpfully brought up by her newfound team-mates! The Wild Charge was strong enough to send the Garboder flying back, it's body almost breaking apart as it flew right into the nearby tool shed and smashed it, having carried a fridge along with it - it's body wracked by electrical energies. With Marie riding it out, she managed to slowly crawl her way out of the wreckage, the Garboder down for the count, tail wagging triumphantly. Of course, Louis wanted to chomp her nose down - because whilst she was showing off her new move, he was busy being overrun by Trubbish!
He'd recently recieved an all fresh new set of slaps from one of his opponents, sending him reeling back and feeling significantly weakened, the Absol noticeably panting and cringing. This couldn't do! Quickly asserting herself, Regina tore her attention away from her triumph and called out to Louis, clenching her fist tightly "Louis! Don't take that one lying down! Payback time!" Oh, he was very, very happy to return the favour, as his shining eyes caught the Trubbish, he surged forward and leapt right on top of the surprised Trubbish, aiming to leap off, his head lowered as he gave it it's parting surprise! A shower of darkness that seemed to burst around it's form whilst he ramped off, showering it with various strikes as the Absol's sudden use of a Dark-Type attack threw it's opponent off, causing it to flop forward whilst Louis landed rather gracefully in a pile of old discarded kitchen towels, shaking himself off as he rose up. "Haha! Great job, Louis! I knew you could do it. Now, let's finish these guys o-"
Of course, her words were cut off by something of significantly higher priority. That being the giant missiles flaling from the sky! Regina's mouth hung open, her surprise voiced in a squeal as she was pushed away, her reflexes taking over and jumping back herself, the ground where she was a significant crater by that point! Quick to realize the situation, she screamed out into the microphone "RETRAITE!" She called out, Louis and Marie looking up just in time to dodge the missiles falling towards the two of them, scrambling away and rushing for their mistress as they took cover behind one of her speakers, buzzed only slightly by the flames that shot up when her fireworks went off, creating a gigantic flurry of bright colors and fantastic displays, all in various forms and depicting various pokemon, also showering many of the Trubbishes in firey death! By the time it was all over, Marie and Louis had huddled up to their trainer and shut their eyes, as if waiting for the end. Regina on the other hand may have been pretty terrified...but she was also amazed to see that move in action! The dust finally settled, and the two pokemon opened their eyes, peering rather awkwardly towards one another until Regina pat them both upon their napes, giving them some comfort. The trio stepped out from behind the sound system, looking at the carnage around them, Regina's look more then a little dour. This all cost her a fortune. And it was going to be a while before she could pull anything like this off. Louis seemed to stand particularly close, the Absol's growl - particularly towards the other pokemon, seemed to make it clear he was a little on edge. Marie on the other hand, had started to advance on the Pikachu and Dragonite, sniffing at them curiously and putting on her best sassy, big-eyed look. There she was , already attempting to look appealing. I mean - they had to have some delicious goods stored away somewhere! Regina was busy dusting off her clothes, her tie having come undone and her vest covered in grime and singed around the edges. "Well, damn..." she murmured, before turning her gaze back onto Josh, her expression bright as she grinned openly "Haha! Encore, encore! You're fantastic, I feel upstaged!" She cried into the microphone, as if praising him in front of a crowd. "Marie! Louis! Give our saviors a proper bow, they deserve one-" She was cut off by the announcement and realization that - oh goody! - their foes were coming back, angrier then before. Well, this wasn't good. "Oh...great." Marie and Louis seemed to break out of their momentary relaxation, noticing more trouble coming their way, falling back to Regina's position, who'd stood closer to Josh. Run or fight, it was his call now. "Well, how can I put it? I might have made them a little angry with my fireworks show! Personally I think they just hate good talent, but it might have been the cheap fireworks raining hot paper on them. Regina, by the way! You have flair , Josh!"
Post by Josh Dragomir on Jun 16, 2015 20:00:00 GMT -5
The blonde took a deep breath as the Trubbish and Garboder advanced on them again, though he smirked a bit when Regina would mention that she felt "upstaged". "Didn't mean to upset you, sweetheart. Just doing what I gotta do" The blonde spoke calmly with a chuckle. "I suppose your fireworks literally going off in their faces didn't help either, though that might have been my fault. My bad" He said, feeling guilty for setting off her fireworks early. Granted, if he hadn't, the Trubbish and Garboder would have set them off anyway in a blind rage. So there was no happy ending for Mr. Fireworks. For now though, they needed to worry about surviving, not about the untimely destruction of Mr. Fireworks. Speaking of surviving, even Josh himself had to be careful, as a Trubbish would fire a Gunk Shot not at the Pokemon, but at the blonde, who would find himself pulling an athletic backflip, with the Gunk Shot flying just below him as it sailed into the wall after missing its target. Josh, of course, now knew who posed the immediate threat. "Lightning, Quick Attack!" Josh would call as Lightning nodded, obviously quite upset by his Trainer being attacked before launching himself at the Trubbish, his speed increased as he dashed into him, bouncing into the air after the impact as the Trubbish was sent flying back. "Dragon Claw, Gawain!" Josh would quickly call afterword as Gawain would leap into the air, his claws glowing green before he hit the Trubbish in mid-air, sending it crashing into the dirt. It was down for the count after that combo.
"Truth is..." Josh spoke toward Regina. "The Draco Meteor was an accident. I'm proud of my Dragonite for learning it, yes, but we'll be putting in some hard training to perfect it later" He spoke with a smirk toward the Dragonite, who seemed quite pleased at the idea of some time together with his Trainer for extra training centered toward mastering this powerful move gone wrong. But that joy was short lived as one of the Garboder would leap into the air and try to Body Slam the Dragonite. "Wait, wait, Gawain! Let them come down! I've got an idea!" Josh would suddenly call as Gawain would be about to defend himself. A grin crossed Josh's face as Garboder would come down on Gawain. "Three.... Two.... One..." He trailed off, counting down as Garboder was about to fall upon the Dragonite. "DRACO METEOR!" Josh would suddenly call. Immediately, Gawain would fire the missile again, the attack taking the in-air Garboder with it! "Ha-HAH! It WORKED!" Josh called as he would motion for Regina and her Pokemon to get out of the way.
"Lightning, use Thunder!" Josh would call as Lightning nodded. "Pika.... CHUUUUU!" Lightning exclaimed as he sent the Thunder attack into the storm clouds above them, causing it to fire a lightning strike at the missile, causing it to explode. Garboder would faint on contact as it exploded into several electrified Draco Meteor missiles that rained down. With the proper warning, Lightning and Gawain got out of the way and to cover. Josh would somersault forward as one nearly hit him, until they got to cover. The Trubbish were confused by the Garboder being sent into the air, and many of them were hit and taken down by not only being hit by the meteors, but also being electrified by the Thunder attributed to them. Others ran away.
Once the attack ended, Josh would climb out of cover with his Pokemon and give Regina the thumbs up. "There's only a few left, Regina! Why don't you close the show for us, dear?" He would request with a playful smile. "You're the star, after all" He teased with a wink.

ell, he did have a point! Those fireworks were handy for something other then attracting the attention of wild pokemon, which in this case admittedly was at least sparking an interesting brawl. And the best part? Her sound system was still going at full blast, giving them a fantastic bit of background music to fight to. Though, the equipment destroyed thus far was admittedly dismaying to poor Regina. She did pay for those, you know! "Eyes on the pokemon, mon cher! Otherwise you'll need a new set of clothes." That was her biggest dread after all. Smothered under garbage? Oh, that was just a side-effect! The real terror was having to spend the next six hours scrubbing the gunk away when they actually got to her. However, yes, putting her guard down did not help, as one of the Trubbishes actually made it's way up to her, swinging one of it's baggy arms right towards her. However, she was quick on the draw herself!
Barely grazed by it as she hopped back, admittedly surprised, and then grabbing her microphone by the wire - swinging it and striking the Trubbish across the head, disorienting it for a moment and causing it to scuttle back! "Uh-aah! Marie! Take them down! Tackle!" She'd barely been able to finish that sentence, before her Furfrou charged forward, leaping high and slamming right into the Trubbish, her body still crackling from her wild charge, knocking her opponent roughly into one of the speakers and knocking it out, thankfully not shorting the whole thing out completely, although it did noticably lose some sound quality with that one.
"Well, glad you had that little happy accident, mon cher! But I do believe we should probably take care of this rowdy crowd!" Regina, surprisingly, had actually been taking quite a few of them out, with Louis in particular getting vicious with his attacks. He was a more then a little envious of Marie's new ability, especially because of how flashy it was. Then again - she was the flashy one of the troupe! "Marie! Louis! Hook and Reel!" Now that might have sounded a little cryptic to most others, however the two pokemon seemed to peer at their trainer in aknowledgement, before the Absol would turn to the nearest Trubbish, leering at it from the distance and growling aloud. Seemingly having it's attention thrown upon the Absol, the distrungled Trubbish began flailing it's arms and charging right at him, causing Louis to take a defensive posture, seemingly ready to Payback before... "FRAUF!" And with that, the shining figure of Marie, body encased by another layer of crackling electricity spiking through that fluffy body of hers, charged right towards the approaching Trubbish just before it's attack and viciously ramming into it from the side, digging her claws in and rushing away with the Trubbish teeth digging into it's baggy surface before she'd wreck her head like a dog with a chew toy, tossing it aside and right over a nearby trash mound. It seems the plan worked! As many of her opponents seemed to be backing off after that one. A display of force and tactics to be reckoned with! However it also took Regina a moment to notice that a little too many were impressed by that one. Only one glance up and - Oh crap. The meteors fell down around them, her Furfrou and Absol thankfully being quick enough to begin scattering and dodging the attacks just barely, all of that dance practice actually coming into good use for once! Regina herself stood very still, closing her eyes and clenching her teeth as she expected to be hit but - well, much to her relief, the missiles seemed to barely miss her. After opening her eyes and being thankful she isn't DEAD, she took a look at the carnage around her, whistling in delight as she noticed no more then a couple of Trubbishes left, who seemed intent on making one final rallying assault. Hearing her companion's words, Regina flashed him a big smile before she would pull her microphone up.
"Life's too sober, Ooooh Life's too sober~ Marie! Louis! Tackle! Quick Attack!"
And without further adieu, the two pokemon barely had time to give a reply before they set their attack into action, splitting off onto opposing sides before converging at the Trubbishes' flanks, charging right into them and slamming the two together with their respective attacks, leaving them spinning dizzily before flopping to the ground.

With most of the Trubbish and Garboder gone, Josh was alright with allowing Regina to take the reigns, take the stage and handle the rest herself. The serious numbers game was gone, as was his reason to intervene. So he would motion with a cock of his head for Lightning and Gawain to return to him. The Pikachu and Dragonite nodded before walking over to their Trainer as they made their way to a safer spot to watch what had become a "performance" of sorts from Regina and her Pokemon.
Josh had to admit, Regina's style was a tad... Odd. More then a little odd, perhaps. But that was her battle style, even if it involved gyrating her hips, singing into a microphone and singing out commands. Although he did get a kick out of her using the microphone as an Indiana Jones-like whip to make one of the Trubbish get away from her before her Pokemon took care of it. Her style was certainly... Unique. But at the same time, he could tell she was in some kind of show business, and the battle style fit her, as unorthodox as it was.
Before long, the Trubbish and Garboder had been defeated. Any remaining ones had run away, while the others had fainted, being dragged off by their friends. The blonde would amusedly clap as he walked over to Regina.
"Bravo, bravo. Excellent performance, Regina" He congratulated with a chuckle. "I suppose that's the curtain call then?"

O
h, bravo indeed! For it was quite the magnificent show, she had to admit it herself. Hell yeah, in fact! Best dang show she's ever given, and she can attest to that. How long it'd been since she'd actually done this sort of thing...oh how much she was enjoying it. Finally, she was able to perfect her routine and do in a bunch of living trash-bags that were trying to beat her senseless. Now that, that was an achievement worth never mentioning to another living person again out of sheer and utter embarrassment. Seriously. She was utterly and completely embarassed. But , on the bright side, she got to give her Marie and Louis something unique to pull off - and she even got to meet someone new. This one, Josh. Class act, she had to admit it. And he let her pull off her performance, most people she knew would tell her to take the battle a little more seriously. Pah!
Twirling her microphone, the girl turned to him, smiling openly as he would clap and approach her, still swaying along as Marie and Louis stopped to catch their breaths, dragging themselves along the ground and trying to avoid collapsing into a heap at her feet. Clearly they were not yet used to battling, otherwise one would suspect they'd be a bit more lively after a battle like that. However, she understood that they weren't exactly uber pleased by the whole performance. It was all a song and dance they would never repeat without ample rewards!
"Well, for now. Mon dieu...you really are a talented one , aren't you? Here I was hoping I'd meet my first trainer face to face soon enough, Nue's trainers really are a rung above the rest. Kalos certainly needs talent like you, I can tell you that! And a handsome bit of talent you are too boot, mon cher! Thank you for getting me out of that situation, you must let me repay you sometime."

He had to admit, while Regina's battle style was odd, and even a bit overly flashy, she was impressive in battle. He could tell that her Pokemon's battling experience was rather small considering how exhausted they looked after the battle, but they were quite talented considering that said lack of experience. And Regina herself was quite the Trainer, she seemed to have a natural knack for this. He had to wonder if she was a Coordinator, or perhaps a singer or an actor? She had that... Flair to her, that flashy style. His first idea was she was a Coordinator, by the way she handled her Pokemon. They were obviously meant more for flashy moves and pleasing a crowd then battling, but part of any contest was the battling part. While she was talented in battle as well, he hoped that her Pokemon could pick up battling more. Perhaps he could give her advice? It might save her in the next contest. He had experience in the field, of course, actually hosted the last Coordinator Contest himself. So he knew how important the battling part was.
Josh would nod over at Lightning and Gawain as they came over. "You two did great" He said as he patted Gawain on the head. "Groooo!" He cried out as he wrapped his arms around his Trainer, who laughed and hugged Gawain. "Hey, you did awesome, Gawain! That Draco Meteor was great, though we'll need to train when we get home to perfect it. If you can master that, I don't think there's much that can stop you!" He praised. "Pika!" Lightning chirped as he leaped into Josh's arms. He laughed, still, and nuzzled his head. "Lightning, you're on top of your game as usual. You hit that meteor perfectly on that combo. Great job!" He praised as Lightning let out a "Chaaaa~" in response to the praise and affection.
He smiled over at Regina once that was done. Lightning stayed on his shoulder as Josh smirked at her praise toward him. Though he couldn't help but blush at the "handsome" bit. "Now now, Regina, you're quite the looker yourself" He cracked with a handsome smile and a playful wink toward her. "Don't worry about repaying us. I'm just glad we were able to help you out of a jam. It was good practice anyway" He added with a cheeky grin. "By the way, you wouldn't happen to be a Coordinator, would you?"

Coordinator! Well, now he was getting the gist, that was for sure! With a swift turn upon her heel, she posted before him, returning that smile of his with one brimming with confidence, her pokemon slowly scraping themselves off the ground "Hah! Not just any Coordinator, mon cher! DJ Queenie, 214.49FM, ex-host of Radio Lumoise! I now host every day throughout the mornings until the early hours of the morning! In fact, this is what I do when I'm not broadcasting. Hey, I'm sure you've caught my show sometime, unless you aren't a radio person. Personally, it's a great passion to have...but I'm starting to look at it a little more like a hobby. Marie and Louis are great, but they need to work on their skills." Raising her boot, she playfully nudged at her Furfrou's backside, who simply straightened and attempted to stiffen up, playing as tough as can be before the trainer and his two pokemon. She was trying to impress them, as usual! And Louis, he certainly seemed to be trying his darnest to recover from his stupor.
"We need to do a lot if we're going to be ready for any official competitions - for one I need to expand the roster, so to speak. And I need to get them both prim and proper, I have some special spritz for Louis there." She cooed, giving the Absol a little kissy face. Almost as if he could read what she was talking about, his reaction was the appropriate bout of growling and backing up, looking as if she planned to shave him completely. "See? He's touchy about it, but he'll love it. And they need some combat experiance, I mean this was fantastic." She stamped her foot, peering down at the two "You two did better then I've ever seen you do today! See - they usually do far worse, but they are improving. The point is..." She trailed off, moving aside to tug the microphone's cord free from it's plug, rolling it up.
"I need to start working on my routine if I'm going to make my mark over here in Nue. Of course , unlike you I don't have such fantastically trained pokemon! And your Pikachu's cuteness does rival a certain member of my troupe's~" Oh, now that just frizzled the furfrou's fur. "So...uh...bleh, I have been rambling a bit too much." Regina slid the microphone into her knapsack, moving to collapse the collapsable mic stand. "Could this looker ask you a favour? On top of this one? I could use some pointers...not to mention some grub. Do you know anywhere open at this hour?"

Well, looks like he was right on that account. She was certainly a Coordinator. Whether it was her rather dramatic and stylish movements, or just the swagger she had about her, he could have spotted Regina as a Coordinator a mile away. She called herself... What was it, DJ Queenie, 214.49FM, and a host of Radio Lumiose? Or was it ex? He wasn't sure, because she then talked about how it was her show as if she was a current host of Radio Lumiose. So it was safe to assume the ex part was just a little error on her part, unless she corrected him.
"I'm honestly not much of a radio or internet radio or anything like that person. I met some chick named Beata who did fan commentaries on battles or something, but she was kind of a snob" He admitted. "I travel so much, I don't see a whole lot of radios or anything of that sort, only hear it once in awhile. I wouldn't be surprised if I've heard Radio Lumiose, I used to go to Kalos quite often. Don't think I recognize your voice though" He would add.
Honestly, he probably wouldn't be going back to Kalos anytime soon. Not after the Richissime Incident.
He looked to her Pokemon and chuckled. "This is actually quite funny, I was the host of the Flash City Extravaganza Pokemon Contest not too long ago" He would reveal. "I'm not a Coordinator, myself. I'm a travelling Trainer, operating out of the Little Piece Of Heaven Ranch. I've been doing this a few years now" He revealed. "And despite your inexperience in battle, I have to admit your Pokemon are impressive. Just remember that battling is just as important as the style part in a Contest. If your Pokemon faints, the Contest Battle is over" He would advise. She talked of expanding her roster, and he nodded. "Try the Wilds. They have the best variety of terrains for pinpointing what Pokemon you could go after. I'll see about texting you a chart of what Pokemon usually frequent where, if you'd grace me with your phone number" He requested with a chuckle. Man, just met her and already requesting her phone number? It was business related reasons, but whoa Josh. Whoa. That was new for you.
He chuckled a bit when her Absol didn't seem happy about being prim and proper, and smiled when she brought up the battling skill of her Pokemon, and the cuteness of Lightning. "Chaaa~" Lightning chirped in response, seeming to enjoy the praise.
When she asked him about where they could find somewhere to eat, he smirked and nodded. "Why don't we go out somewhere nice in the city and we'll discuss pointers there?" The blonde would offer. "I know a nice place not far from here, if you'd like"

I
n truth, if one were to take Regina's attitude at face value, she acted as if she were the chief radio personality of the entire world. Although she thankfully was not reminded that , well, she'd stepped down from her spot as Lumiose' big radio star. Had that still been a fact her pride might have just made her too topheavy to move, that was for sure. Oh, he had something more to say? Her disappointment was noticable when he reported he didn't listen to his radio. That was like telling a mother you didn't eat your vegetables! But, his choice! Couldn't choose what entertainment other people enjoyed - personally she saw a lot more people were becoming TV addicts lately. Maybe she'd have to expand to that eventually. "Hey, hey! I'd recommend one if you're ever out on the road - give you something to listen to on those boring hikes. But judging by your pokemon you're rarely ever bored. Battle commentaries, huh? Hah! I mean that stuff works for competitions but, come on...no one wants to hear your bit about everything they've just done mid fight! Mind you, for us - it's our job to let our words bring images to people's minds. I suppose the most obnoxiously artsy way of putting it is - we let our words be the muse in the fine portrait we paint for the public eye."
Even she wanted to throw up after that line, but he figured it would have to wait. But then, he mentioned not recognizing her voice. Now for a brief moment, that seemed to make her red under the collar. Was he calling her forgettable?! Oh she would sock him one in his voltorbs if that was the sentiment, though she tried to hide her frustration - that and the sensation of being a has-been. Grinding the bottom of one of her shoes into the dusty ground, she kept listening to him whilst rocking herself, looking dead on ahead. Then, he said it. Ding! He was a host? Pokemon Contest? Oh, now she was just in! "Haha! I've been practicing for one of those! So - uh - host you say! Was, was the host. Now you must have seen a bunch of stuff - I mean I'll be honest with you. I wouldn't call you Mister Fancy, but you certainly have the moves that would wow the crowds. I don't mean to speak as someone with experience, hoho, in fact it's the pure opposite." she wagged a finger at him, hand back at her waist. "But, mon ami, we have a saying. Un pêcheur sait son poisson! A fisherman knows his fish. And I know talent."
Little Piece of Heaven? She liked it, it sounded like an abominably corny and downright picturesque little place. It'd been a long time since she'd been to a ranch, so a visit wouldn't really hurt...change up the tempo a little bit. Certainly was a man of many talents, this one. "Heh. Thank you!" She could not help but turn red to pink with that little comment, patting her two pokemon over the head as she took in his praise directed at them. They deserved it, the scamps. They were quite the couple of personalities. "Well, heh, I'm sure they can tough it out. Especially Louise, he's a natural at that sort of thing. Hey - I'd appreciate it and all, you know...the information!" Was she really giving her number to a man she just met? Last time this happened she ended up alone in a hotel room with someone who spent half his week in one half of a pokemon costume. Now that was an odd one. Still, she had no qualms with bringing out her phone and giving him her number - and confirming to boot.
"You ever need anything - by the way - you just give me one call. Our action news team will be with you in no time - that is to say I'll likely send Marie over with something tied to her head before I even get there, traveling's been a nasty bit of business for me lately."
Oh, that's right! She'd just asked him to go eat with her. "Sure! I mean, sounds like a blast. " She grinned sheepishly. She was hungry. "Heh, lead the way, handsome! It's on me, of course. I did save your butt just now~" She jested.

Josh chuckled a bit when she recommended it. "I'll definitely take a listen if I get the opportunity" He would respond. "With your charisma, I wouldn't be surprised if its an entertaining time" He would tease, sticking his tongue out at her playfully. Was he teasing her, flirting, or both this time? One couldn't be sure. "Trust me though, with these crazies, I'm hardly ever bored. Whether its the Dragonite here learning new moves on the fly and almost killing me..." He joked, shooting Gawain a grin. The Dragonite scratched his head in embarrassment. Hey! It wasn't his fault he was still learning! "Kidding big guy, I'm proud of you.... OR THIS LITTLE ONE trying to get the last muffin" He joked, scratching behind the Pikachu's ears with a laugh, as the Pikachu let out a mix of a coo and what could be considered the Pikachu version of a laugh. It was obvious, of course, that they were one big, happy family. "I have plenty of other Pokemon as well, I'll have to bring you over sometime. Might wanna watch out for Izumi though, she gets a little touchy when I bring women over to the house" He added with a chuckle. "Izumi's my roommate, by the way"
He chuckled when she mentioned the absurdity of Pokemon fan commentators. "Yeah, I thought it was sort of ridiculous too, but I humored her" He remarked. "She certainly had her bit of fame though. And had a fitting name in BEATa when I stopped a pickpocket from stealing her bag. Well, this guy did anyway" He said, motioning toward Lightning. "Even as a Pichu, he was a bit um.... Ahem, excuse the pun... Lightning fast" He cracked. "But Beata stayed true to her name as I witnessed her then jump onto the guy and just start beating on him until the cops arrived. Y'know, despite the fact he was already paralyzed by Thunder Wave. Kind of unnecessary if you asked me" He would admit. "But I guess if you get even a little bit of fame, you do crazy things like that sometimes, aye?"
Of course, the last thing he was doing was calling her forgettable or a has-been. Josh hadn't listened to the radio much before he had come to Hoenn, and his trips to Kalos, where she was likely airing from, where short, sweet and sporardic. He was generally just there to do a bit of digging, and in the wastelands there wasn't really any radio service. Even in Nue, he didn't listen much. He was either riding high in the air on a Pokemon, or on his motorcycle to get from town to town. He just wasn't in touch with the radio world. That could always change, of course.
And now all of a sudden him hosting a contest was interesting to her. He chuckled a bit. "It wasn't that big. I was actually a co-host, but I did most of the talking. The contest was a disaster though, with people not showing up, people being late. Ugh. But it was fun all the same. Don't know if I'll do it again anytime soon with the stress levels though" He would admit. "Still, it was fun seeing all the amazing sights. There was even a golden Wailord and an evolution. For all its faults, it was quite the performance" He would add. "It was televised too, I'm sure you could get a replay, especially someone as famed in radio as you, if you tried" He teased, shooting her a playful wink. THAT was definitely a flirt.
He nodded in thanks when she gave him his number, and would give her his own in return. It would be impolite, after all, not to. The poor girl would probably be fretting on if she had been given the right number! A proper exchange was always polite, even if it wasn't done with a night of fun in mind. But he couldn't help but laugh when she mentioned her news team being on call or something like that. "I'm sure I'll be just fine. As you can see, I'm able to take care of myself in a jam. I appreciate it though" He remarked.
Well, at least the food was on her. He didn't mind paying his half, of course, but she was offering. He shrugged, before holding out an arm for her to loop hers around. Playfully, and as a formality of course. He chuckled when she mentioned SHE had been the one to save HIM. "Heh. If you say so" He teased as he would lead the way to a nice little establishment once she took his arm.
