it had been a few days since Damian had last gone out to the Ruins—and the rainbow-colored rock that he’d picked up was now resting alongside the cotton-candy colored marble (along with all of its brethren) in the same bulletproof glass casing that was housed in his lab. He preferred to leave them in a secured place as opposed to having them on his person all the time—what if he got mugged and lost everything? He knew that it was much better (not to mention wiser) to play it safe.

In either case, he was now accompanied by his Growlithe, who was running in interesting circles around his legs while he was traversing through the undergrowth before finally coming out into the clearing where the Ruins were located. Once he’d traversed the slippery, muddy road downwards and had cut through most of the tent city (with accompanying Growlithe running at his heels and snapping ay anyone else who dared bother him) , he then came to a stop outside one of the other entrances that looked like they’d been abandoned.

“Wonder why that is,” he muttered to himself, pondering for a few moments as to why this particular entrance hadn’t been disturbed. Either way, the two observed the entryway for a few more moments, before vanishing into its depths.

The Growlithe that was circling around his feet suddenly began yipping, before outright making a mad dash away from where Damian was walking, causing the Professor to suddenly give chase. “Hey… hey, Blaze! Get back here!” he shouted, not minding the fact that his voice was echoing throughout the passageway that they were traversing together—up until his crazy companion had decided to make a mad dash away from him, disappearing around a corner. He then groaned, before resisting the urge to smack a palm to his face. “Geez… Blaze, you’re such a handful…” he commented, before picking up the pace and then following where his companion had disappeared.

Meanwhile, over at where the Growlithe had dashed far ahead, skidded and tumbled through several overgrown, overrun columns before coming to a literal crashing halt and inadvertently causing something to tumble and crash into pieces. It then gave a loud yelp—and this yelp was what Damian had heard, allowing him to locate where his companion had gone off to. Now that the Fire-type was surrounded by all manner of falling debris, it then dodged as best as its tiny feet could manage—before seeing something sparkling soaring through the air. It then launched itself into the air and caught it with its teeth just as Damian came crashing in, seeing the… damage that Blaze had caused.

“Oh… oh, crap! What did you do?!” he began, looking at the ruins of what appeared to be another statue that had seemingly been knocked over—or had met its end due to a hyperactive Fire-type that had crashed into it. he then heard the Growlithe yap in his direction, before dashing back to him and giving him a marble that was pretty much covered in slobber. “Eww, what the—“ he began, before seeing the certain color scheme, glittering and sparkling—if somewhat doused with dog drool. “Hey… you did a great job, but please… don’t ruin the rest of whatever you see in here, okay? Good boy, Good Blaze,” he remarked, giving the Growlithe a pat on the head and rolling the marble between his fingers.
