Now that the floor was rumbling rather ominously under his feet, he then began to spout all manner of colorful profanities; before realizing that he still had a chance of getting out! “Damn it, stupid slope…” he muttered as he quickly looked around; the better to be able to get out of the place.
Seeing that the entrance way he’d… fallen in had caved in, he knew that he had to risk using a certain move in order to be able to escape the trap-filled room! “Nothing else to it, come on out, Nazca!” he shouted, plucking up his Claydol’s containment unit and watching as the hovering creature came into being from the beam of red light.
“Err… I know. Teleport us out of here!” he began, quickly placing a hand on his Claydol’s rather…large, flat ‘head’. Or what he guessed was its head. He then looked at the Claydol before nodding and continuing, “Come on, Nazca. This is kind of a life and death… YOW!” he shouted, feeling the floor cave in from under him, leaving the Claydol floating above him and sending him into a drop!
“NAZCA! D-down here!” he shouted, and the Claydol, emotionless as ever, turned around and saw that its master was nowhere to be seen! The shout of shock alerted it to his presence; and before he could blink, the Claydol had vanished—before reappearing beside him! “Come on!” he added, placing another hand on his flat head, and both Professor and the alien-like Pokémon vanished just as the rest of the floor caved in.

Now that the two had warped out of the sinkhole trap that Damian was about to get impaled on, he had no idea as to where his Claydol would warp him off to. He was going to experience first-hand the rumors that had been circulating around the Mega Ruins ever since their discovery—that Psychic-type abilities would go awry. Wondering where they’d materialize, he then felt a weird sensation coursing through his legs, before feeling all the hair on his body stand up on end as he then materialized into existence once more, the Claydol hovering noiselessly beside him.
“Where are… what in the world?” he began, looking around and seeing that they’d been warped to another room—and unfortunately for them, the entire room was full of smashed pottery. “Oh, crap. I definitely didn’t do any of this,” he began, raising his hands up in a “what the hell” pose, to which his Claydol only stared back blankly. “Well… can we get moving to another location, Nazca?” he asked the staring Psychic-type before laying his hand on the Pokémon’s rather flat head again. A few moments later, another tingling sensation rose up through his legs as both Pokémon and Professor Teleported out of the room, on the hunt for more treasure.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found an INTRIGUING STONE! Not a Mega Stone but it's still a beautiful stone. It can be sold for a high price to a collector.

Now that the Professor and his companion Claydol were on the move again, he then waited for the tingly feeling to spread through his legs—before finally rematerializing with a loud popping noise. Instead of landing in a room; the two had reappeared in a corridor—and the corridor seemed to stretch on in two directions.
“Great. Forward or backward…?” he mused, shaking his head in order to get rid of the buzzy feeling that was assailing it; before looking around and trying his best to squint in the darkness. “Hmmm. What an unusual place to appear in…” he muttered, pondering if he should take out his journal and jot down several more notes—when a sudden flurry of movement caught his eye.
“Hm? Nazca, what’s it?” he asked, following the Claydol who had decided to hover forward—because he’d caught sight of something. What that something was, however, wasn’t exactly the same as what Damian had found the last time once he caught sight of it. “Doooool. Claydol,” he heard his companion speak, in a nasal—if somewhat robotic tone. Damn. His voice scares me… the Professor thought as he then walked forward, in order to inspect what his companion had found. As he crouched down and snapped up the rock, turning it over and over in his hands, he then noticed something—where was the swirled line running down the middle?
“Hmmm, close, but not quite…” he muttered, quickly chucking the multi-colored rock away, hearing it clatter against the floor when it had landed before rolling out of sight. “Very nice try, Nazca, but… let’s keep looking. Let’s search a bit deeper, shall we?” he continued, making his way back to where the Claydol hovered, before placing one of his hands against the side of his Pokémon’s rather flat head. “Teleport us to another location, if you may,” he remarked; and felt the weird, tingly sensation spreading from his hand throughout his body as the Claydol then whisked them off to another location within the Ruins…

As he felt the tingly sensation spreading from his legs shooting up to his head, Damian and his companion Claydol then reappeared into existence once again—but this time they landed right at a certain part of the Ruins where everything was decided by one single choice: a crossroads.
“Well, shit,” he began with a sheepish chuckle in his voice as he looked back at his companion who was hovering noiselessly behind him, “…guess the rumors were true,” he added, before fishing out his journal and then quickly scribbling a few notes in it; proving that the theory circulating had some merits to fact in them.
“Guess this journey is a complete…bust,” he trailed off, after seeing that a crown had been left rather…cheekily at the point where the paths seemingly split into three—one leading to the left, another one going straight on, and the last one curving downwards to the right. Much as the thought of taking the straight path was appealing, Damian already knew from previous experience that taking the straight path wasn’t always the ‘happy ending’, so once he’d finished scribbling down his notes, he then quickly recalled his Claydol back in a flash of red light. Once he’d shrunken down the containment unit to its compact size, he then began to point at the left and rightmost paths, trying to decide which route to take.
“…when in doubt, go left,” he said out loud, not realizing that he’d voiced out his thoughts before letting his feet walk towards the leftmost corridor.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found LEFTOVERS! You found some leftovers from the previous diggers, clean it up and keep in mind the recyclables!

Damian wasn’t expecting his choice to lead to a bad end, and he continued on his merry way—until he felt his foot land on something with a rather loud, if somewhat disturbing, squishing noise. “Oh, crap,” he began, quickly backpedalling a few steps before looking down at the ground, the better to see what he’d landed on. Ohh, that’s not good… he thought to himself with a rather dour look on his face as he then saw that it was the remains of an apple. It looked…rather old, and he could only sigh.
“Well, this was a complete bust,” he said with a sigh, before looking around and shrugging, the better to square off his shoulders. He wondered if it was still possible to keep going; but somehow, there was this sinking feeling entering the pit of his stomach, the longer he looked at the apple core in front of him.
“We’ll do better next time,” he muttered, looking around before trying to regain his bearings. He then made the choice to go back upwards from the same route he came, back to the crossroads—the better to check out where the path to the right led, taking the apple core with him and making a mental note to himself to dispose of the trash he’d picked up once he was out of the Ruins.
