I know the pieces fit[tags here]--[240]--[yay first post]Most people would feel a at least a little twinge of mercy upon looking at the haunted eyes of Wilbur. But then again, most people didn't have to deal with incessant whining, griping, and entitled stupidity -which was one of the worst ones in Altair's oh-so humble opinion- for several hours in the desert -or at least a fascimile of a desert- level heat. At least, not most city folk anyway. And if there was anything that Altair was, it was born and bred city folk.
That was why there was no mercy in his eyes, only an icy cold indifference that he had mastered putting on over his years of acting (amongst otehr things but he didn't like thinking back to that time period). "Have you learned your lesson, Wilbur?” He asked in his serious James Bond voice, which only Evita recognized if the smirk on her face is anything to go by.
”Phanpy....” The spoiled Phanpy looked down on the ground, submissive. That was not the way that Altair had wanted Wilbur to feel, but it was necessary. He would learn sooner or later that what he did was for the best.
"Good. This won't happen again as long as you behave, alright? I hate doing this to you, but someday you will understand why I had to ask Evita to do do and show you the things she did and showed....”

I know the pieces fit[tags here]--[208]--[yay first post]A panicked squeak made Altair look up from where he was staring at the ground while walking. He would have kept his head held high and dignified like he was taught to do in acting school but it was way too hot for it. Not even his blond hair could keep all of the sun's rays away.
"Wilbur? What is it?” Altair genuinely looked alarmed as he turned towards the young Phanpy. "Is there something dangerous out here that Evita needs to take care of? I would do it myself but I'm far too rusty in that department to be of much use.”
The Phanpy shivered as his trunk pointed to a jutting bone on the ground... that looked a lot like the one that Evita had picked up earlier for a 'lesson'.
"...A bone. Seriously?” Altair chuckled and shook his head. "Don't worry. I won't let Evita get her hands on the big bad bone you're so afraid of. I'm not into that kind of discipline.”
Not anymore anyway. Time was such a wonderful thing. And naggy exes too he supposed. Can't forget them and their anti-violent ways that won't stop bugging him until he quit for good.

]--[yay first post]Another bone. This time, Altair had seen it first so he was ready before the other two could even think about reacting.
"Ignore the bone.” Altair's tone was sharp as he glanced at his two pokemon with narrowed eyes. "Move on. Nothing to see here. Nothing to use for torture implements here either. Do you understand, Evita?”
The Mienfoo looked defiant as she stared down her master, but Altair wouldn't budge. Not this time.
"No means no.” Altair used his acting skills to revert to the stern, cold face of his James Bond role. "You may be in-charge of pokemon discipline, Evita, but I am in charge of all of you. Never forget that.” Even his voice was calm and cold, making Evita stare at him for a few more moments before finally nodding.
Altair smiled internally in satisfaction. It was good to show that he was still the boss once in a while. Can't have his pokemon getting too out-of-control or else he would have a disaster on his hands, like World War Three in the breeding room. The press would have a field day with that and he couldn't let that happen.

]--[yay first post]Altair looked up at the sky and saw that the sky was beginning to darken. "Oh no... we're lost with little food and water and we've been walking around for over a day.” He ran a hand through his sweat-soaked hair while the two pokemon looked at him in concern. "Just in case... we need to look for camp instead of wandering around like a bunch of lost tourists, which we are.”
Both Evita and Wilbur were now looking a bit alarmed, with the latter starting to look panicky as well. "Calm down, Wilbur. We can rough it out for a day. Thank the Legendaries that Rachel beat the need to overpack foods into me or we'd be screwed right now.”
He paused as he looked down and picked up a stone. "Which reminds me... I need to thank her when we get back. She deserves it.”
