Izumi had backed off from the Badlands for a few days; if but to let the bad feeling of being luckless pass. Now that she had gotten enough rest, she was now ready to tackle the area again; in the hopes that she would be able to find something that was going to be “worth her while”… like one of those marbles. Well, the marbles are the only priority that I have now at the moment… everything else is second-bet or nothing, she thought to herself as she then slapped on some sun block as she fell in line leading up to the excavation site. The shovel was now dangling from a strap that was hanging loose from her bag, therefore making a scraping noise every time that she took a step forward. She was now slapping on the sun block with much fervor, because the heat that was radiating around was simply horrible, and she was starting to curse the fact that she hadn’t decided on bringing a portable cooler out in this heat! Ugh, terrible heat… she thought as she moved forward with the line, finally arriving at the security checkpoint.
After getting her stuff examined and getting the green light, she then went through and then scoured the area; seeing that there were quite a lot of people looking already, or they’d been here for a while and were just taking a break. “Alright, time to get searching,” she muttered, psyching herself up and then squaring her shoulders as she then marched off into the deeper section of the Badlands, if but to look for a spot she hadn’t violated yet. Several minutes of searching later, she found what appeared to be a secluded spot, and then reached for the dangling shovel, quickly undoing the knot that she’d hurriedly tied to it in order to shake it loose. It had taken a few minutes of blind struggling; but now the shovel was free; and she then snaked out of the straps of her backpack, letting it fall to the ground with a soft flumping noise. She then looked around for a few more records, and then began digging, sticking her foot atop the shovel and then starting to push ground and dirt around.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found RELIC STATUE ! A stone figure made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price. ( Post a Mod Summons to exchange this for •20 )

After Izumi had heard her shovel clunk against something heavy, she knew that the area was a bad spot, and then quickly picked up her backpack before slinging it across her right shoulder. Knowing that the spot wasn’t such a nice idea to dig in, she then grabbed the shovel and then decided to send out someone else who wanted to dig—at this point she knew that Carreau, otherwise known as Carrie, her Excadrill—must have been itching for some action. While she was walking, she then sent out the Subterrene ‘mon, who then looked up to see that his mistress was walking—and he quickly scrambled to keep up.
“Drill? Excadrill?” she heard him ask in her direction, and then she looked down. “Oh, hi there Carrie. Come join me for a walk I need to find a good place to start digging… I need some good luck; and here’s to hoping that you have it…” she trailed off as she then continued through the excavation site; passing by several other people who either had extreme joy or ultimate despair etched onto their faces. “Well, I think we found a good area…” she said a few minutes later, coming to a nice, rocky area that had a lot of untouched ground. “Go nuts, Carrie. If you find anything interesting, bring it topside and show me,” she said, waving a hand in the general direction of the dirt—and the Excadrill then marched forward, before deciding on its own place to dig.
A few moments later, the Excadrill then began diving in and out of the area, bringing up piles of nothing but dirt—and she then turned her attention to the place she was standing on, before sticking her shovel into the ground and begun her own share of digging as well. Alright, let’s see if the winds of change are going to work with Carrie instead of the other two… she thought to herself as she then began shoveling pile after pile, after pile of grit and ground over her shoulder.

Izumi had decided to dig on in silence—not knowing that her Excadrill was about to stumble upon something so…fabulous, it shouldn’t even be considered as “legal”. It wasn’t a marble; it was the next best thing—and said Excadrill gave it a slight poke with one of its appendages, before carefully hefting it out of the dirt in the tunnel it was working on and hauling it topside. Over at where she was digging, she had decided to stop for a while; because her arms were becoming sore at this point. “Ow, I really need some of those pads that relieve muscle strain…” she muttered to herself as she then began wringing her arms around and around, trying to relax the tension that had built up in it due to excessive digging. She then picked up the shovel and was about to start digging when something that looked extremely familiar rolled onto the ground in front of her—looking up, she saw that her Excadrill was nudging it in her direction.
“Hey, Carrie. Wasn’t expecting to see you so early,” she continued—before recognizing the thing in front of her. It reminded her of the first sample of the exact same thing she’d found—and had traded for another one of those shining, shimmering speckled marbles she now had in her possession! “Well, at least, this one’s mine now,” she continued, petting her Excadrill on the forehead as she then hefted up the Old Amber and took a look at the thing trapped inside it, wondering if this was the answer to her problems—well, it sure beat heading out to the Safari Zone in order to look for some of the Fossilized ‘mons that she knew existed there. “Well, let’s go find another dig site and continue searching, we can’t just leave the place now, can we?” she added with a grin on her face, searching through her bag and then finally finding a cloth that she could use in wrapping up the Old Amber. Once it was secure, she then nestled it down into her backpack, before zipping it up and then hefting it onto her shoulder. She then whistled in her Excadrill’s direction, who then scampered over and then followed her deeper into the badlands.
