She pondered for a moment why exactly she was here, holding a dusty.. grubby looking shovel. The texture of it in her hands felt all wrong. Was this some kind of bizzare fever dream? She.. was hot after all.

Then she remembered. She had visited the Stone shop in Lumiose and had a nice conversation with the cashier there. They talked about stones that made Pokemon evolve and how a lot of the merchandise for all these Pokemon things could be found here. Not only that but as a Kalos native she was aware that a lot of people made themselves rich with the stuff they could find here. She knew all of this. She knew she really wanted to do this. That's why she had come from the city in this direction. She wanted to have the aura of richness in the future career.. she wanted people to think she was dazzling. A Coordinator..
Couldn't she just fast forward till it was already done though? Her Mawile was looking tired already.. they had already been at it for some time now. She thought of all the rich and pampered higher society ladies she should be mingling with instead.. all who probably hired people do this kind of work for them. She was almost grossed out with herself, sweat beading down her skin.. she tried to think of this as a necessary battle towards a life of pampering and low body fat.
The.. thoughts helped a little. Too bad the fact that right now sitting in her bag was two of the major reasons people came out here in the first place. It would have made her day.

Well.. this was just awful. Every moment digging was a frustrating one. The reason she hated doing it were already well spoken, but the more and more she did it the further it just escalated. Mawile was helping at the very least.
It was pretty effective too, with it's Iron Defense enhanced jaws it's powerful steel jaws were able to chew right through the ground. Although.. after a while it seemed to have gotten a bit bored with that motion and had started a sweeping motion.. it was just playing around wasn't it? She was happy someone was having fun.
During this sweeping though, it had unearthed a strange stone. It hadn't noticed this however, it's jaw not having eyes of it's own and it had swept it out and sent it flying.. and it smacked Arietta right in the face.
"What the hell Mawile!?" she growled, looking in Mawile's direction. Mawile tired to look innocent but Arietta was annoyed. She rubbed her sore cheek and picked up the thing that hit her..
Huh. This looked interesting. She could imagine some fancy lady liking this.. although maybe it was one of those evolution stones. Like the Shiny Stone she had. "Mawile come here!" she said.
Mawile was a bit nervous about just coming over there.. but slowly and surely it did. Arietta suddenly pushed the Heracronite right into it's own cheeks.. "Let's see if this gets you evolving." she said, trying not to enjoy the silly face Mawile was making as she did. A few minutes of nothing..
"Shucks. Let's go see how much this is worth at least." she said.. totally not just trying to get out of more digging. Mawile shrugged and followed her trainer. |
