After the lucky find that Draken had brought back to her, Izumi then decided to return to the Badlands a few days after, still fresh from the victory with the curiously-colored marble that had landed in her possession. Wondering if there was something ominous about the latest addition to the collection, she then decided to try her luck again and see what she’d find. Slinging the shovel over her shoulder, she then fell in line at the really long security procedure, and after she’d been given the green light to go ahead and try digging again, she then marched into the Badlands once more, looking at the vast expanse of dirt that was waiting to be dug up. Or fed to Ivan, the greedy little monster, she thought to herself, remembering that her Larvitar particularly had a taste for the unusually-colored ground in this area of Kalos. She then decided to walk around until she’d find a spot that looked good to her, unballing the three ‘mons she’d normally take along in the process—a Garchomp, aforementioned Larvitar, and the Marshtomp.
Once she’d arrived at a promising location, she then pointed off to the distance, before saying, “Well, Drake, Yuya, go off and start digging together. I know you missed your partner. Sorry about taking Yuya’s time from you, okay?” she said in the Garchomp’s direction, before giving it an affectionate pat and then watching as the reunited partners-in-crime then rushed off to another spot to begin their search. She then looked downward at a somewhat-pleased Ivan and then said, “Well Iv, you’re with me this time. You know what to do. eat all the dirt; if you see anything shining, shimmering or splendid—preferably the marbles like what Draken brought back last time—let me know right away, okay?” she said towards the Larvitar, where it let out a grunt of approval, before sitting back and then opening its mouth, ready to catch whatever dirt she’d send his way! Weird, she thought to herself as she then stuck the shovel into the ground and began digging through the area, looking for something that she could take advantage of in the near future…

Wondering why the Larvitar had chosen to lean back with its mouth open, Izumi could only sigh and shake her head as she continued to shovel out dirt and could only guess as to how Ivan was catching the incoming dirt bombs while he was at it. Over at where the two “dynamic duo” digging buddies were, the two were discussing things in lowered, hushed voices; always stopping to wait for one another to return so that they could continue their conversation. It would have sounded something like this, if one was paying attention (or could understand their language and communicate with them like a certain Unovan self-declared “King” could):
“You know what Drake? If I didn’t stop Mistress from shoveling the dirt, she’d not have found that other shining rock. And I heard you found the third one she’s got with her right now, is that true?”
“You got that right. I was digging another tunnel similar to this one, when I saw that black-and-white one. It had a touch of gray too; I almost… I almost swallowed it if Ivan didn’t keep stopping to bother me if he could eat it or not. He’s so crazy, you know that?”
“I noticed. Was he eating that other crown-like object sometime ago? I think he was… unless I was just seeing things and something was going bad with my eyesight.”
“Yep, you’re right. He was eating that funny thing and even called it ‘chewing gum’, what a complete weirdo. Anyway, let’s keep digging, we might find something interesting…”
Over at where Izumi and Ivan were digging the Larvitar was moving around so much; it kept on either missing a few clumps of dirt or ending up with a faceful of it that he could eventually lick it off hif his tongue was long enough. “This heat is more than enough to drive one crazy. Man, why is it so… huh?” she trailed off, seeing an unusually-colored rock sticking up and out of the mound she was working on. “Weird,” she continued, digging the shovel in and shaking off the dirt, revealing a rock-like crown. It… looked similar to the one she’d seen in the shop that was readily available for purchase, so with a snort, she tossed the shovelful aside and Ivan caught sight of the thing, and was about to eat it when something strange emanating from the rock threw him off and made him belch in disgust.
“Oh well, let’s keep looking shall we?” she said to Ivan, who had seemingly denied eating the King’s Rock and was now waiting for more dirt to come flying its way.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found RELIC STATUE ! A stone figure made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price. ( Post a Mod Summons to exchange this for •20 )

After setting down the crown-shaped rock that was of a lighter coloration than all the other crowns she’d seen so far, she decided that the luck was not that good her, and decided to move. She was about to fill up the hole when she realized that Ivan was eating all the dirt she’d sent his way, and then came up with another problem—how was she going to cover up this hole? “Oops,” she muttered to herself as she then realized the slight problem—before getting another idea. “Ivan, can you go over to where Draken and Yuya are? They’re just… over there,” she continued, pointing in the distance and seeing one flying Garchomp come topside with another mound of dirt; and the Larvitar just shrugged in her direction. “They have more dirt than I do…” she continued, and that was what made her lazy Larvitar pick up his stubby legs and shuffle out of the hole. “I’m going to try another area, sorry about that,” she said in the somewhat disgruntled, lazy Larvitar’s direction as it plodded out of sight.
Now that she was left with a hole, she then decided to move to another spot she’d scoped out that was not too far away—at least she could still keep her eye on the three ‘mons that were now having the time of their lives, bringing up dirt topside and chowing down on the rich earth of central Kalos… or was it Northern Kalos, given their current location? “Well, let’s see what I find here…” she muttered to herself, sticking the shovel down into the new patch of earth and then beginning to dig in silence, making sure to scan the dirt before tossing it off to one side again…

This time, the “clink” noise was a bit too loud for her linking—that’s when she realized that she should stop digging with her shovel, and go through the area with her hands. Tossing the shovel off to one side, she then carefully began brushing away the dirt off on opposite sides; because she was trying to catch where the noise had come from. Over at where the three were digging, they were simply just having the time of their lives; diving through the dirt and just wiggling their faces into whatever handful of ground they could pull up. if one could understand their conversations, then it would have gone something like this:
“You know, this digging actually helps me relax and unwind… mostly because I can just go wild. I don’t know about Ivan though, but how are you holding up with being a girl? I still can’t get my mind around it that you… are…”
“Hey, stop teasing about that! Well, trust me I’ll find a way to catch up to you so that we can start battling together again. Oh, I’ll take that lump of dirt up topside, just keep digging, okay? Got to feed the little monster topside…”
“Tell you if I find anything. Also, tell me if mistress suddenly goes off like a kettle again—it’s taken me a while to get used to her shrieking all over the place whenever we’re digging up stuff here…”
“Haha. She’d kill you if she could understand what we’re talking about.”
Up at the edge of where the two were busy making another system of tunnels, the Larvitar was waiting with its moth open and received another armload of dirt when it suddenly heard a loud shrieking coming from somewhere not too far away—and then recognized that it was Izumi’s voice. The Larvitar then shuffled over and was about to call the other two when the Marshtomp came up topside with another load of dirt in its hands. It then proceeded to wiggle its tail and then raised a paw and pointed to where Izumi was now positively raving about something.
Over at where she was, she was now looking at yet another marble; however this one wasn’t the same as the other three—she’d even taken out the special “carrying case” that she’d bought for the funny multi-colored stone along with the three stones she’d found so far; and then looked up just I time to see the three were there, looking down at her. “It… I found another one,” she said simply, holding up the funny-colored marble, letting it sparkle and glimmer in the sun. “Look, we’re on our way. Now if only I could figure out who owns this…” she continued, dropping it into the special case, and three became four.
“Come on guys, let’s get out of here. We need to celebrate,” she added with another grin on her face, quickly recalling the three ‘mons that had assembled and then packing up her things, before heading out of the excavation site.
