It was now officially the second half of the year, and Izumi wanted to get started on the digging season as soon as possible. she’d actually emailed a certain self-confessed “pretty boy” about the details, that if he dug around and found something that looked like a marble—she’d even included a picture of the Gardevoirite but didn’t tell him just what exactly it was—and that if he found one of these things he’d be filthy rich if he played his cards right. Of course, she had also conveniently forgotten to tell him to dress lightly, since Unovian weather was just a total mess in comparison to Kalosian weather—and so here she was again, all decked out and ready. Wearing her usual pair of boots along with a comfortable pair of shorts, a loose shirt, shades and a cap, she then submitted herself through the usual inspection routine. After she was deemed ready to go, she then decided to look for a spot, before sending out the three companions she had with her for the journey. “Hello Draken, Yuya, and Ivan,” she began, watching the three beams of red light transform into their respective ‘mons and hen giving them all pets on the head, before continuing, “Well, it’s another month, another time to start digging up stuff. We may hit gold, we may not. But one thing is for certain: we’re going to give it our all. Got that?” she ended, and the three ‘mons nodded. “Ivan, you go with Draken and do your thing. Eat all the dirt you can get your hands on… you need to grow. The Garchomp was busy diving in and out of the hole it had dug in the ground, looking for anything shining that resembled the stone that his mistress had gotten for the past few digs. Wondering if it was going to be his turn around to find something—since Izumi seemed to be doing all the shrieking these days, he then clove through the dirt tunnel he was making when his eye caught sight of something sparkling in the dirt not too far ahead of him. “Gar. Garchomp, gar,” he mused to himself, before carefully sticking his claw into the dirt around it; and then carefully scratching his opposite claw across the dirt, trying to make the shining marble come loose. Ever since he’d gotten the one that sparkled in his color scheme, he was determined to get the rest for his mistress—even if she didn’t have the corresponding Pokémon that shined with the same color as the stone that she possessed at the moment. After a few more moments of careful dislodging, the sparkling rock fell from its location, Draken then lowered its head down almost level to the ground in the tunnel, before carefully scooping up the marble with its own teeth, and then holding it ever-so-carefully in place as he then did a 180-degree turn and then went topside from the tunnel it had dug up. The Larvitar waiting for him topside had a foul look on its face; because it was expecting another round of dirt to come showering his way, he had his mouth open for some time now but was shocked to see that he was getting nothing. “Lar, larvitar? Lar—larvitar?!” it said out of shock, seeing the shining rock in the Garchomp’s mouth. as if in response, Draken waved its long appendage, before marching forward, meaning that the Larvitar should follow him. Back at where Izumi and the Marshtomp were digging, they were not having so much luck so far; having turned up almost nothing. “God, what’s the matter with me today,” she muttered to herself, and the Marshtomp sheepishly shook its fins in her direction, before catching sight of a looming shadow that was headed their way! A few moments later, the looming shadow turned into a Garchomp, before she noticed that its mouth was open in an unusual manner—she then tossed the shovel aside and dashed over to ask if Draken was okay; but upon seeing the shining thing that was in its mouth, she then squealed and then hugged the Dragon-type, before it gently rolled the marble onto her outstretched hand. “You’re a nice finder, Drake. Let’s go, you guys deserve something for all this hard work and digging,” she said with a grin, quickly recalling all of the assembled ‘mons… and then dropping the shining, sparkling marble into the pocket where the two she had so far were stored, along with that funny-looking Key Stone she had. | | | | | WORDS 491 TAGS Huwheeee NOTES claiming the Absolite!
