She wanted to get back to civilization so bad, she had somehow wandered around the back roads of Unova and had gotten herself… quite lost, somehow. Andrea was now cursing the dirt and grit of the nearby area, and wanted to get back to a big city where she could shower, get a change of clothes, and find a good meal. So far though, all the hiking that she’d done for the day had led her to another seemingly isolated area, which was called “Lentimas” by the few locals she’d happened to pass by when she’d stopped and asked for directions. Wondering if it was just her or her luck was really crazy, she then decided to look for a Flying-type that she could add to her team—because she realized that she already had land transportation covered thanks to Max, but what about air? Ocean would have to be something else like a Wailord or a Lapras, since Lexie was too small to actually carry her across the ocean…
“This is going to be a problem…” she muttered to herself as she began stumbling around the rockier areas just outside Lentimas, wondering if she would catch a sighting of some avian species that were native to this region. She’d only been in Unova a short while, but already the diverse environments were already doing a number on her clothes—and her boots as well. Let’s hope I find ‘im in one go… she thought as well, hoping that all of her ‘mons had had enough time to recuperate before going into battle so soon. At least I have Lexie to send out if in case things get nasty…

Andrea then began trawling through the dirt, secretly willing for it to just go away when she heard something clatter, not too far away. Wondering what it was, she then hovered a hand over a certain Pokeball, ready to send its occupant out when she heard even more rocks clattering down. Wondering what was causing the uproar, she then attempted to approach the source of the clattering noise as stealthily as she possibly could; before a sudden deluge of rocks surprised her at the place where she stood! Shrieking s she dived out of the way, the rocks continued to fall and clatter around her; and then the culprit revealed itself—it was a walking rock that seemingly had no eyes, instead there was this hole-like structure that seemingly looked like its eye and mouth combined in one.
“Freaky,” she said with a shudder, slowly inching away from the approaching, walking rock, which then summoned another deluge of rocks and then sent it hurtling her way! “Why do I always run into the troublemakers?!” she shouted as she finally managed to get up on her feet and scramble away from the falling rocks that were raining around her—was the thing intentionally not hitting her and just scaring her out of its territory? She would never know, all she wanted to do was to place as much distance as she could between herself and the darned thing! She could still hear the rocks echoing and bouncing off the ground as she pelted further away, before bending over and trying to catch her breath; having been forced to run without preparation. “Hope nothing nasty comes my way…” she hissed to herself as she clutched at her chest, feeling the sudden stinging sensation usually associated with abrupt and forced body movement.

After managing to scramble away from the threatening sentient rock-like object, she then turned around because there was the sound of even more scuffling. Wondering what was causing the noise; she froze in place… and let the scuffling noises get louder as she kept her eyes on the boulder in front of her. After a few more displaced pebbles, something hopped out—and that something was a very adorable-looking baby bird! Wondering if its feathers have been ruffled yet, she moved to walk forward—but then it suddenly tossed an Air Slash attack her way, causing her to shriek in surprise and throw up her hands in order to defend from the sudden gust of air caused by the attack—as well as the incoming dust devils! Geez. Well at least he’s not as ominous as the other one. This one I can go with, she thought, quickly looking at her options, before plucking a random Pokeball and then sending its occupant out, waiting for the flash of red light to materialize into a… Blitzle. Yes! She thought, remembering the type match-ups she’d learned about from one of the Trainer schools in another region she’d journeyed through before.
Another realization then hit her—she had yet to nickname this little critter, but she knew she had to bring this little ruckus-filled Flying-type down! “Uh, okay. Sorry I haven’t picked your nickname yet so… Uhhh, can you do your crazy charged attack on him for me, please?” she asked the Blitzle; and said Blitzle looked back at her, confused. “Oh crap, I don’t know… uhhh let me try guessing. Thunder Wave that thing!” she said, pointing at the Rufflet; and this was a command it understood, releasing a jolt of electricity that it sent towards the Rufflet’s direction, just as it had released another Air Slash attack. She knew that the Flying-types had a disadvantage against the Electric-type, so at least the Blitzle could hold out until it had been weakened enough for capture! Said Rufflet was not expecting the sudden jolt of electricity, and promptly got zapped, but didn’t feel the effects right away. “Oh god I hate guessing what attacks you have… if only I know what attack that is—“she trailed off, surprised to see that her Blitzle had gone on ahead and rushed forward, its body crackling with electric energy.
“Heh, works for me,” she continued with a shrug and a grin; as the Blitzle threw its body weight into the Rufflet’s body. In retaliation, the avian Pokémon jumped up high and brought the Blitzle along with it; what was going on?! She could only follow the two upwards; before a few moments passed and the speck suddenly came hurtling down—the Rufflet had apparently clung itself to her Blitzle and had attacked it in its own manner! Ugh, need to learn more about their attacks when I get the free time… she grumbled to herself as the two plummeted down for a crash landing—and it was at this point the Rufflet began swaying on the spot; as the Thunder Wave’s effects kicked in. Seeing an opening, she nodded in the Blitzle’s direction and then tried, “Go Thrash around and smack it as hard as you can!” while pointing at it; and the Blitzle then proceeded to flail about randomly, hooves and head flying. It didn’t help that there was a sharp “protrusion” on its head, and the Rufflet got smacked with that as well. In its defense, it tried to retaliate with a Fury Attack, but its steps were already so flustered, the slamming Blitzle didn’t help on its concentration. After a third “round” of hitting the Rufflet, her Blitzle did fall back, looking punch-drunk and extremely dizzy!
“Whoa! Easy there,” she said, quickly recalling the Blitzle and watching as the Rufflet teetered around… before flopping over onto the ground, unable to move its body. “Three, two… go!” she said to herself, grabbing an empty Pokeball and chucking it towards the paralyzed Rufflet; hoping that its day would not get any worse…

crazy Cubchoo / Mountain terrain / 502
As the Pokeball fell, it shook and rattled once, twice… after the third time it stopped, and she had to resist jumping up and down because she had gotten her hands on what looked to be a veritable, powerful Flying-type! She then watched as its Pokeball suddenly disappeared—before she suddenly remembered that she already had six with her. “Oh, so that’s how it goes,” she muttered to herself, before turning around to see that there was yet another one of them staring at her—and this time it looked like it had a cold! “Aww, you poor thing. Wait a second what the he—?!” she shouted as the Cubchoo that had made its appearance was glowering right at her, before summoning a very cold blast of wind! Oh crap, that does not look good at all! She thought as it suddenly flailed its limbs and released a Blizzard attack headed her way! Letting out a shriek of surprise, she then covered her face with her arms, bracing herself for whatever was going to happen if the Blizzard did hit her—and a few tense seconds passed. A few more seconds later she looked up and saw that the attack hadn’t hit her; and she then realized that it was now time to counterattack!
Quickly releasing Max from his Pokeball, she then issued the first set of orders; “Max! Turn up the lights and get ready to roll! Crank up the heat as well and make sure that thing doesn’t Blizzard you!” she said, pointing ahead; and then Ponyta reared its legs before flashing its mane; and for a moment, the sky was dark—only to be replaced with a sudden flash of sunlight! The Cubchoo then flinched due to the sudden lights show; but made its way forward with its own claws bared! “Alright, first step down! Max! Next attack, go!” she shouted, watching as the Fire Horse neighed again before releasing a jet of fire that went hurtling towards the arctic bear that was charging with its claws ready to swipe, flying through the sudden blast of flames that was shooting right towards it! She then heard a yowl of surprise; but saw that the Cubchoo had managed to fight through; although looking quite singed on its part. “Max! Take to the sky! Then come down with a bang!” she continued, and the Ponyta nodded, taking a running start before it used its Bounce attack, taking a high leap! In its defense, the Cubchoo then tightened its defense, hoping to Endure the brunt of the attack—just as the Ponyta came crashing down, throwing its entire bodily weight right at it!
The arctic bear flinched, but held on—and when the Ponyta came down with a Stomp attack, it tried to harden its resolve to keep fighting again—but ended up getting knocked down and out in the process instead. “Oops,” she said, whistling for Max to calm down and follow her; they were now on a training mission!

Oops / thread end / 489
She then continued her hike through the area, wondering if she would still be able to find another companion after catching the Rufflet. Although she knew that she already had a good Flying-type to train up, she knew that she could still use the experience; and could only wonder as she saw something cross her path. It was moving a bit too quickly at first, before it came to a stop and then bared its fists in her direction! Some squinty-eyed thing this turned out to be… she thought to herself as she then looked towards Max; who still had enough for one last go at this little thing that had crossed their path. “Well… change of plans. Max, you can rest now, I… I have plans,” she continued, quickly recalling the Fire Horse ‘mon and watching as it got swallowed up in the Pokeball before dropping it into her skirt pocket. After plucking another Pokeball out of her other pocket, she sent out its occupant—and it materialized into the Gothita that she had caught some time ago. Seeing as it was quite rested up now, she then began the next part of her training with, “Claire! Use Telekinesis to make that thing float, and then hurl a Psychic attack at it!”
Watching as the Fixation Pokémon then turned its gaze towards the charging Mienfoo, it then held out its stubby arms, s if in defiance; and the Mienfoo had already began running when it suddenly lost its footing—it had been sent afloat by the Gothita concentrating its power into the Telekinesis attack! After that, the Gothita then failed its arms yet again before unleashing a powerful blob of psychic energy which then headed right towards the Mienfoo that was squirming, and trying to break free from the hold that it had been placed in. the Psychic attack battered it with relative ease; before it landed face-up, still floating in mid-air. “Okay, try to Charm it so it won’t try to smack you!” she continued, watching as her Gothita suddenly began parading itself around in an attempt to lower the trapped Mienfoo’s spirits. In retaliation, the Mienfoo tried to squirm its way out of the levitating “trap” that the Gothita had palced it in, to no avail. After another unsuccessful attempt, she continued with, “Okay, let’s try two Psychic attacks now!” and pointed at the floating Mienfoo.
The Gothita began flailing its unnaturally short appendages once again; before releasing first one, then two consecutive blobs of powerful energy it had conjured just by concentrating. The Mienfoo could do nothing but take the attacks head-on; and at that moment the Telekinesis connection “snapped”, sending it flying down and away from where she stood. “Man, Claire. I never knew you could be that nasty…” she muttered to herself, quickly recalling the ‘mon and then heading into the town proper itself for a shower and to get back to civilization!
