WAILORD SACNTUARY OF FRIENDSHIP
True Friendship Can Be Found Under the Waves
ABOUT THE WAILORD SANCTUARY OF FRIENDSHIP
The Wailord Sanctuary of Friendship is many things - a Pokemon reservoir, a park, and living space. A very large bit of sea and some land in the Bayonadaville area, not too far from the main town itself, the Wailord Sanctuary of Friendship flew up in an unexpectedly short matter of time, the lazy atmosphere of Bayonada not slowing its construction. A Pokemon Sanctuary, the purpose of the Wailord Sanctuary of Friendship (WSoF) is to care for Sea Pokemon, prevent the abuse of their ecosystems and their lives, and to bring friendship and happiness to both the humans and the Pokemon of the world.
Funded by the Rosenbach Corporation and founded by William Rosenbach, the Wailord Sanctuary of Friendship is comprised mostly of sea, with many different water-based ecosystems - a small coral reef, shallows, mid sea, and algae/kelp colonies and so on - within it. On the coast are the many facilities that run the Sanctuary - Pokemon caretaking facilities and supply storages. The reservoir has a park area for the public to visit and enjoy the Sanctuary, relishing in the greatness of friendship and the sea. Finally, the living space for William Rosenbach and Sis are also on the Sanctuary. All of Rosenbach's Pokemon live and coexist in the Sanctuary, functioning as supporting groundskeepers and aids to the Sanctuary.
A no-abuse zone, poachers are kept off the grounds completely, this provision supported by the Pokemon Rangers of Nue. Anyone who tries to break the rules and regulations of the Sanctuary are asked to leave, and if not, removed from the grounds by Rosenbach and his Pokemon. Many events are held at the WSoF, as to not only promote the message of friendship, but to bring business and favor to the people of Bayonada and the Sanctuary itself.

LOVED BY THE NATIVES?
At first, the WSoF was an issue with the locals of Bayonadaville, whose fishermen were disgruntled that the zone flew up, taking away some of their usual fishing grounds. Even as the Rosenbach Corporation representatives marched in with their permits and their supporting documents signed by the Rangers to make this a Pokemon Sanctuary, the fishermen of the area kept fishing until they were literally forced to turn around by legal force. As it was being built, the locals and the Sanctuary actually had some tension between them: there was a period of time where the locals would only talk badly about that "Rosenbach Kid" and his fancy little park, going to the extent of littering on purpose - there was even a small protest. Nonetheless, the project went ahead. however, as time went on, William went out and accustomed himself to Bayonada, making himself a true resident - at first, it was hard, for the people were very disgruntled, but time did its job. He could even be found helping the fishermen find new fishing spots, fixing the issue about the fishing grounds. Most of Bayonadaville now looks upon the Sanctuary with kind eyes, as it brings some commerce and attraction to their normally slow village, and plus that kid William is pretty polite, for his stubborness. Fishermen will still grumble form time to time on how there's plenty good fishing on the reservoir. In fact, some of the older residents of the area still hold a grudge, and rumor says that Old Man Henderson can tell you of a secret way to sneak into the reservoir and fish up some Pokemon, even those whales that brat loves so much.((SEE "MISSIONS" FOR MORE INFORMATION ON OLD MAN HENDERSON))
FINDING A FRIEND UNDER THE SEA
Being both a Trainer and a Coordinator, the Golden Knight William welcome all kinds of visitors to the reservoir. Young or old, Cooridnator or Breeder, the friendship that the Sanctuary offers is there. While the Sanctuary is focused on the maintaining of most ecosystems, and most importantly the Wailord and Wailmer comminutes which live in it, sometimes the rest of the open sea can sneak into the Sanctuary, causing issues for the staff of the reservoir and its Pokemon, as they must manage the natural population AND the population that swells in. As such, the Sanctuary welcomes in Trainers and other Pokemon users who would like to help in clean out the sea to make the native wildlife communities more stable and safe for everyone. We just ask that you keep the fighting to a minimum - the Wailord Sanctuary of Friendship has no problem with making friends through battle, but we don't want you to disturb the more delicate ecosystems. People who decide to put themselves in this situation and help out the WSoF are given special permissions to do so, and cannot simply go in there and fish Pokemon out. People found trying to do so will be found and promptly escorted out by William or another of his helpful Pokemon. Like his Gyarados.((SEE "MISSIONS" FOR MORE IN FORMATION ON CATCHING))
ADOPT A WHALE
The Adopt-A-Whale Project was an original idea of the Golden Knight himself, going back to the days where he met his own Wailord, Ba'ul. Back all those years ago, the Golden Knight fostered friendship with his whale when the Wailmer saved him from dying a death in the open sea - thusly, the Golden Knight desires to promote the species, protecting them and providing a way to find friendship in the world. With another special permit, different from the one that allows one to clean out the sea, the Trainer or other in question can sail out, looking for a Wailmer to befriend. These Wailmers are special individuals with different pasts and presents, with histories of abuse or need, and with a desire to make new friends in the world. Handpicked by the Golden Knight, these whales are let out into the reservoir for the participants to find and befriend. Note that “befriend” is important here – the Golden Knight forbids the fighting of Wailmer and Wailord on the Sanctuary. It is imperative that one adopt his or her whale through bonds of friendship and time. And, if you’re lucky, you might even be able to meet Big Bertha, the 2nd biggest Wailord in the reservoir – a bit of an oldie, Bertha has yet to be adopted, although she is always in queue for it. Bertha is a bit… hard to get used to, but if you can convince her or any of the other whales that you’re the one they were meant to befriend, you might even leave with a Wailord.((SEE "MISSIONS" FOR DETAILS ON HOW TO ADOPT YOUR OWN WAILMER))
THE SEASIDE CONTEST HALL
That’s the short name. The full name is The Wailmer and Wailord Seaside Contest Hall and Battle Arena of Friendship. The largest building in the Sanctuary, it was specifically requested by William Rosenbach due to his past – being a Master Coordinator and a Judge in the Coordinating world, the Golden Knight believed that a place that fosters friendship and Pokemon growth would be benefited by having Pokemon Contests from time to time. The last building brought up, it is the center of events for the Sanctuary, where any situations are held. A large building themed around, you guessed it, Wailord, the blue walls and domed roof denote the inside. The Contest hall contains everything that other contest halls have – battle arenas, ballrooms and stages, and so on. The Seaside Contest Hall often has extensions to the sea whenever necessary, opening up to let performers use the sea as another setting for Appeals and so on. Which the blue and white palettes of color paint the outside, there’s a flair of elegance and grandiose, with a sense of high class in the air. The stages and battle arenas are large enough to host even dueling Wailords, as would be expected from the Sanctuary.
THOSE DARN KIDS
The protest and the unruly behavior of fishermen ((FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THESE CRIMINAL ACTS, SEE MISSIONS))
OTHER FACILITIES
The other buildings within the Sanctuary are smaller than the Seaside Contest Hall, but each serves its purposes. Most of the buildings, which are towards the further sides of the Sanctuary, are storage buildings, with Pokemon food, medicine, human food and medicine, as well as any other supplies needed to run the Sanctuary. Information buildings are also present, where files and records on Pokemon, people, incidents, and so on are kept. There is the seaside building, which opens to sea, allowing for seaside care of sick or injured Pokemon. There is a small clinic for injuries, both human and Pokemon. The final “facility” is William’s and Sis’s home, which is a bit bigger and much more shaped like a home, but otherwise blends into the themes of the Sanctuary. PLOTS AND MISSIONS
