EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.

Cursing; This is so fucking allowed, but don't go overboard.

The team didn't seem to be having much luck this month. The time they could spend here seemed to be coming to a close and Yumi only hoped they could find SOMETHING to make their journey worthwhile. With Carlak and Zillia going off on their own once more to see what they could find, Yumi was left with Rodrigez, Ko-ken, Tequill and Edwardo, all of whom were taking a well deserved break.
Something many people didn't realize when they checked out the tower of mastery was that it had a rather full library section, even if only a few books only related to mega evolution itself. Yumi had managed to find one such book on the shelves, and even now in the cave, during their break, she was shining a torch into it's dusty old pages, looking for any tips on finding these rare gems she may have missed in her past skimmings of the old tome.
"Ya know, ya think these things would be available somewhere other than some dusty old desert. I mean, what makes Kalos so special huh? It can't be the only place that has these things..." She thought carefully for a moment, before flicking into another page. "Then again...these things don't seem like anything natural. It's almost as if someone made them...heh, I'd love to see the person who figured this out if that was the case."
Tequill glanced over at the book, catching an image of her mega form, painted in a traditional japanese style into one of the pages. Yumi couldn't help but chuckle at the smile on her pokemon's beak. "Showing a little self pride are we?" The Blaziken nodded, pulling it's claws into a fist as if to show off, bringing another chuckle from the red head. "Yeah yeah, you're a tough bird alright...come on, we best get moving."

Yumi sighed a little as her group continued to walk through the caves. Still no luck, just old fossils and relics galore. Any hint they did get of a gem turned out to be an evo stone they could easily buy at a store. What they did get however was a cheap jumpscare as Carlak popped his head out of a nearby wall.
"GEE HEE HEE!"
"GAGH!" Yumi flailed her arms as she fell back into Ko-ken, who swiftly caught the red head. "Jesus christ Carlak! Do you have to do that?" The Ghost only laughed, but did hold up a finger saying he'd be back in a minute. Having to take the long way around, his smoke like form soon appeared around one of the bends in the tunnel, holding a squirtle in it's grasp.
"Cardon? What are you doing here?" The little squirtle looked away, crossing it's arms. It seemed to have wanted to tag along and managed to sneak out of the hotel room they'd been using. Not wanting to send the smal pokemon back on it's own, Yumi let out a soft sigh and looked to Rodrigez.
"You mind heading back home through the window we left open? If any league officials catch me with seven pokemon they'll have a hissy fit." The dragon nodded, and began using his sonar to find his way out.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found RELIC CROWN ! A crown made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price. ( Post a Mod Summons to exchange this for •30 )

Yumi sighed heavily, now holding Cardon in her arms and carrying the squirtle with her deeper into the caves. Nothing seemed to be coming of this trip, and in fact she was starting to think they could only find mega stones back in their old digging spot. Maybe she'd bring Gavin on the next trip, have him help them out. Maybe bring Johnny and Jimmy, those two Gabites loved to get dirty so long as they had some fun in the end. Heck, they'd probably love the idea of a little treasure hunt.
"You're a real handful ya know that? How'd you even get out of the apartment?" "Squir..." The small turtle pokemon looked up with huge, bright eyes, hoping to not get in too much trouble for what he had done. The red head just gave him a judging glare. "Oh no, that may have worked on the day care lady but it won't work on me." The squirtle pouted, crossing it's arms and stared off into the tunnel ahead, blinking as he spotted a pokemon in the distance, instantly beginning to squirm and jump about in Yumi's arms. "SQUIRTLE SQUIR!"
"Ah! Ah stop! Okay OKAY!" Yumi eventually had to just open her arms so she didn't get bruised from all of the water type's fidgeting. "Go on, go kick butt..." Despite how ticked she was, Yumi couldn't help giggling. With the exception of Kato, Oscar, and Jiraya, this did tend to be how her pokemon acted afterall when they'd recently hatched. It was somewhat amusing, and kinda cute, especially when they tried taking on tougher enemies at the safari. Looking on ahead as Cardon rushed towards his opponent, Yumi spotted it was a trapinch, which would be a good matchup for him. She decide she'd sit back rather than give orders, just to see how it would all go.
Rushing towards the trapinch as fast as his little legs would carry him, his determined face and little grin would give away it's intentions, and the trapinch was not about to let it just come in and take him out. Lifting it's head, rocks would shoot out around it, forming a rock slide aimed directly for the water type. Though innitially shocked, and even staggering in his run, Cardon would not stop. Leaping up as the rock slide fire towards him, his arms, legs, tail and head popped back inside his shell, a sharp, powerful stream of water firing out the back and launching him with a powerful aqua jet. While it didn't help him dodge the bombardment, it did help him power through it, appearing right before the Trapinch, all his limbs popping out.
"Squirt!"
Rearing back his head, the Trapinch staggered back a little shocked. He tried to summono out another hail of rocks, but it was too late. Already so close, Cardon let out a hydro pump with ease, landing his strike and sending the Trapinch flooding deeper into the cave, completely knocked out, a very cocky little Cardon popping out of his shell, smiling back at his trainer, who crossed her arms, equally proud.
"Hey, you're supposed to tell me when you learn tricks like that.~"

"You are quite the little bulky turtle huh?" Yumi was letting Cardon sit on her shoulder as they journeyed deeper into the caves, smiling and giving her little pokemon a sweet peck on the cheek. The squirtle blushed and chirped out sweetly, making Yumi all the more lovey dovey with her little pokemon. As tequill and Ko-ken lit the way with their fire type moves, Yumi was just in the back, treating one of her "bred for battle" pokemon like a child would treat a skitty, kissing and nuzzling it's cheek just to hear it's cute little chirps.
"Sa." Ko-ken tapped his distracted trainer on the elbow, catching her attention and pointing further along the cave towards a few diglett that seemed to be scurrying off, leaving mulched up earth behind them. Ko-ken pointed between Cardon and one of the remaining diglett, wondering if the water type wanted another shot at battling, seeing as that seemed to be why he escaped the apartment in the first place.Peering up to the water type on her shoulder, she was going to ask if he wanted to take it on, but as she spotted the equally questioning look from the pokemon, they both just knew what was gonna happen.
"Go get 'em."
With a smile and a node, the water type leaped from the red head's shoulder, rushing towards the diglett who was quick to turn and spot the approaching threat, showing quite some alarm and acting quickly to set up some sort of defense against the super effective pokemon coming towards him. With a headbutt to the ground, a blast of earth power crackled through the earth towards the water type, attempting to fire out from beneath Cardon. The pokemon was no idiot of course, and with a blast of water from one of the holes in his shell, he shot to the side with an aqua jet, surprising the diglett with it's speed.
With his body moving quickly and uncontrollably towards a wall, Cardon was quick to try and reduce his self harm by entering his shell. Spinning rapidly, his body would spin like a beyblade against the hard edge of the tunnel, before firing off toward the diglett, blasting out an aqua jet behind himself to try and take the diglett down in a hellish combination of aqua jet and rapid spin, slaming hard into the ground type, spinning in it's face hard enough to nearly knock off it's huge nose, before breaking off, much like the afore mentioned beyblade before falling down to it's feet, dizzy and struggling to keep it's footing infront of Yumi, who wasn't at all surprised to see a knocked out Diglett where a scared one once "stood".
"Seriously, you been getting lessons from Oscar?" "Squiiirrrr...."

"I think we'll be heading home soon Cardon. Everyone's getting tired. As soon as we find Carlak and Zillia, we'll start to find our way out, okay?" The small turtle nodded. Admitadly, the trip from the hotel to the badlands hadn't been easy on foot, and he'd been in quite a few wrong caves before finding one Yumi or any of her team actually inhabited. Still, the look he gave Yumi told her he wanted one more battle, and she wasn't the type to refuse her little cuties, especially since he had been doing so well. "One more, okay?" A pleasent squirp was her reply, and Cardon wiggled out of her arms, looking around for his next, and last target.
A sandshrew was his unlucky target, and he was quick to move. With his typical aqua jet start, he pulled himself into his shell and fired his tiny little body towards the sandshrew with a jet of water shooting from his tail hole. Not thinking he'd need to do much to take out a sandshrew, he removed his rapid spin from the strike, going in with a solo aqua jet and whacking the ground type in the side of the maw. Little did he know that this little wildling would not take it lying down.
With little more than a glare at the shell impacting his cheek, the Sandshrew let out a mighty earthquake through his body, and through the squirtle impacting him. Cardon was hefty on the defense, but not that hefty in his current evolution, so, with every bone in his body vibrating, he staggered out of his shell, growling and glaring at the sandshrew, his own ability, Torrent, activating, boosting his water capabilities.
The Sandshrew himself didn't seem too pleased, and began rushing towards the water type that had so rudely assaulted him. Of course Cardon wasn't going to just stand there and take another hit, one that, in his current state, would knock him out completely anyway. With the Sandshrew coming closer, he reared his head back, his cheeks filling with water, before finally shooting his head forward and unleashing a hydro pump towards the assaulter. Caught off guard by the nearly doubled power of the water move, let alone the super effective damage it would do, the Sandshrew was shot backwards, impacting against a wall of the cave and, without a doubt, he was knocked out, long before hydro pump ended either way.
For a moment, likely due to the heavy impact, the cave walls shook and Yumi was quick to cover her head. Good thing she did too, as if it weren't for Ko-ken flicking his arm out, a small chink of rubble would have fallen straight on her.
"Heh...thanks ko-ken..." "Sa." Looking at the rubble around her, Yumi spotted a small shine. Was it...could it be....?
Cardon staggered back, rubbing his head, even passing the rubble before Yumi called out to him. "Cardon, mind picking that up for me?" Confused, he glanced to the rock, picking it up, and noticing the small sparkle too, ripping it from the rock. Yumi rushed over, lifting his hand with the gem up, and grinning wildly.
