Digging Up Holes IV [Badlands Treasure Roll / Complete]

Izumi was back again; but this time there was a very slight change in the line-up that she had with her. For starters, Momo had suddenly taken on a shiny kind of coloration—whether or not this was a good or bad thing she decided to let it slide. Another change in the team with her was the fact that she had finally unearthed Ivan, her Larvitar, to come along for the ride and just basically eat all the dirt that they disturbed. After all, Larvitars eat enough dirt to make a mountain out of a molehill, so why not?! She thought to herself as she submitted to the mandatory inspection before entering the dig site. After getting the approval to go ahead, she then rushed through the gate; before looking for a nice spot to go digging. Once she’d made her selection, she then slipped her shades on and plucked four Pokeballs, sending out all of their occupants in succession. The first beam of red light turned into the Gardevoir that had always been by her side; while the second and third ones coalesced into the ever-reliable “dynamic digging duo” of Garchomp and Marshtomp. The last one was a surprise—it turned into something that could walk on two legs; but looked like a very unique creature. “Ivan,” she said, addressing the newest companion, “Welcome to the club. You’re going to like it here. You can eat all the dirt we can dig up so we don’t have to worry about cleaning up after ourselves afterwards. For now… please go with Yuya and Draken;” she continued, pointing to the two ‘mons beside it, “…and eat all the dirt they bring up topside from digging tunnels. When you’re full, come over to where we are, we’re not going to be too far away—and eat the dirt we’ll send up as well, okay? Now, go!” she said, pointing towards the three and then sending them off to wherever the Garchomp would like to start digging; and it trundled off after the two partners, who already had this look in their eyes at this point. She then turned to Momo and gave her a slight bow, before continuing, “Well, let’s have at it then,” she said, sighing as she picked up the shovel and began digging… | | | | | WORDS 385 TAGS Badland digging NOTES Larvitars do love the dirt mountains...

At this point, the Garchomp and Marshtomp were now digging holes and were bringing up a lot of… well, dirt topside; but the dirt mountain didn’t seem to accumulate because the Larvitar named Ivan was taking delight at the sudden deluge of earthy ground it could eat without being told off; normally Izumi would tell him off for trying to dig up the ground, but at least her he could do whatever he wanted without her being all brash in his face. She did apologize to him but he didn’t listen to her for a while… until now. Seeing that more and more dirt came flying out from the ground, he then stood up as best as he could, trying to keep up with his stubby legs and catching as much dirt as he could with his open mouth! Back over at where Momo and Izumi were, the Gardevoir could only watch in silence as her mistress began digging up a hole that was looking to be another swimming pool, sighing about how hot it was today; when the Gardevoir picked up… on a presence. She then began flailing her arms, and izumi caught sight of this, which made her stop. “Hm? Momo, what is it?” she asked, looking at the flailing embrace ‘mon’s limbs, before it pointed straight down at the spot where she was digging. It flailed again, and then gestured to the shovel and crossed its arms before pointing once again to the dirt she was about to send topside. “What? Dig with my hands? A-are you sure?” she asked the Gardevoir, to which it nodded fervently. Wondering just what she was up to, she decided to humor the Gardevoir and then left the shovel off to one side; before squatting down and beginning to dig through the dirt with her own hands. It was much slower than it was earlier, but then… her fingernails suddenly bent and that caused her to hiss out of surprise! “Ow! The hel?!” she said, looking suspiciously at the patch of dirt that had given her a hangnail—and then carefully brushed away the dirt. Seeing that there was a glittering marble in the dust, she then began shoveling away the grit as fast as she could manage; and it was finally unearthed… it was something that her Gardevoir could pick up its energy waves from; and then the words of the shop keep hit her. “Oh god. Oh. My. Freaking.” She stammered, staring at the marble that had a funny coloration, before it twinkled and sparkled. It then hit her a few seconds later, and she then shouted, “Draken! Yuya! Ivan! Get over here NOW!” and waited for them to appear. Sometime later, a Garchomp that had a Larvitar astride it along with a plodding Marshtomp appeared at the place where she was digging, and she showed the shining, shimmering, splendid stone to them. “Look at this! This… this is it!” she said, noticing that the marble was glittering in the same color scheme as… Draken. “Oh dear god Draken this must mean something for you!” she said, holding it up; and the assembled ‘mons let out a cheer, before the Larvitar hopped off and began eating the dirt that Izumi had disturbed, glad to at least get to gnaw on something! | | | | | WORDS 552 TAGS Ahihihihi NOTES Claiming Garchompite!
