Izumi was back on the hunt again; and this time she was determined to get through the allowed four digs per month, per person’s visit to the area. She had decided to bring Draken along this time because he already had Dig in his move set; plus she knew that he loved digging holes to kingdom come. She also had Momo with her; along with Yuya, and the rest were just pretty much the normal members of her “main team”. After going through the security check at the dig site entrance, she then proceeded to go to the first random site that looked like a good spot to dig up, and then quickly dug around her belt, before releasing three ‘mons from their respective Pokeballs. In the three flashes of red light that followed, they appeared; a graceful, yet poised Gardevoir, a powerful, yet friendly Garchomp… alongside with its partner, the ‘fish that would not be bent by lightning’! Yuya’s eyes popped out upon seeing that its tandem partner was now a Garchomp and longer the Gabite that it had last seen, but gave it no heed; as the Garchomp came in for a long-clawed “high five”, or so it seemed.
She then set down the shovel that she had slung across her shoulders, and then addressed the two, “Well, you guys know the drill. If you find anything, let me know right away. Bring it over if it looks important. You can go dig holes now, Draken; Yuya,” she said with this mischievous glint in her eyes, and the two ‘mons bounded away in order to find a secluded spot to dig up in peace. She, on the other hand was with Momo again; and she then began the motions of sticking the shovel into the ground and digging up as much dirt as she could manage. “Momo, please help me here, okay? I know you have Psychic power so please shift the earth for me as i dig it up,” she continued, trailing off into silence as the sound of shovel scraping against ground soon echoed around the area where the two were. Dig, dig, dig… what will I find this time around? She thought to herself as she began to excavate the area around her.

Izumi had proceeded to dig up the earth around her “site”; while her Gardevoir was helping levitate and move the misplaced dirt around so that if in case they found something while she was digging through the ground, shed be alerted right away. The two pranksters were also recreating another intricate system of tunnels over at where they were trenching, some distance away from where their mistress was. The Garchomp kept diving in and out of the one hole that they had started using; while the Marshtomp was busy manning the mound of earth that they had dug up so far. If the mistress had decided to bring along a Larvitar, then they’d have no problem disposing of the displaced dirt that was now flying around from the two dig sites; problem was she didn’t have any plans on bringing Ivan with her yet. Over at where mistress and Gardevoir were, she then stuck the shovel into the ground with her foot and then looked up at the mound of earth; before stopping and then seeing that she’d displaced quite a lot of the stuff.
“Ugh. I guess it’s high time to bring Ivan along so that this dirt doesn’t just pile up…” she said, apparently voicing what the two digging ‘mons were thinking of at that very moment; although she didn’t realize that at the time. A few more seconds of silence passed; when she heard her Garchomp give a roar; before she pulled herself out of the hole in time to see that Yuya was plodding her way, trying to balance something in its hands—it looked like a dingy vase; and the Marshtomp was having a hard time balancing it between its “flippers”. “Oy,” she began, quickly getting the vase from the Marshtomp and looking at it; before gesturing to the Gardevoir to take it off to one side, “…they keep appearing quite often lately. Come on, something good has to appear…” she grumbled to herself as she then straightened her hat and her shades, before returning to the hole that she was digging in order to resume the search for that shinig, shimmering, elusive sparkling stone. It didn’t matter if it was for her or for her master’s ‘mons; as long as she found one, she’d be happy!

Izumi then continued to dig through the dirt that was now starting to look particularly dark; wondering why it was so she looked up at the sky. Wondering if it was going to rain, she saw that the normally light-blue clouds were touched with a streak o gray; meaning something bad with the weather was going to come and approach their area. “But… isn’t it quite unusual for it to rain here?” she muttered to herself as she picked up the shovel and continued digging before she hit… something. Wondering what it was, she then got on her knees and brushed off the dirt from the objet that was sticking up and out of the dirt; and saw that it was… some kind of a fossil! Her eyes then shot up so far she knew that reviving this would mean having a Fossil ‘mon on her team; but sadly she was already dead-set on raising up her next team! She then gestured to the Gardevoir to take it and set it aside, before she turned her attention back to the rapidly-expanding hole that she was digging, making sure to leave no stone unturned.
Over at where the two ‘mons were, they were still making dirt tunnels; Yuya was now busy trying to construct what she thought was a sand castle out of the dirt that her partner, Draken, had already disturbed and brought topside. Would they be able to find something interesting this time around? The statue that they’d brought back didn’t seem to mean anything to their mistress, so they thought it best to continue digging in the meantime…

Over at where the two digging ‘mons were, they had now disturbed quite a large mound of earth, its sheer size was already towering over the Marshtomp that was trying to make sure the pyramid of dirt was not going to tumble down on the Garchomp who had just reappeared above the digging line with another rmound of earth to add to the pile. If izumi could understand what they were talking about, this was how it would approximately sound like:
“Ugh, Drake, I hate you! Why did you leave me behind?! I thought we were going to evolve together?! Now I’m the one who looks like your helper! Tell me, what happened? Did you eat something funny while digging down there?”
“Yu, it’s not what you think! I mean, look at you! I can tell you’re no longer male, but you like your new gender. You sure are weird at times. In any case don’t worry, I’m not going to leave you behind in the dust. Now, can you get this mound of dirt off my claws please? I have to keep looking. I might have missed something…”
But of course, nobody can understand what Pokemon are saying (*well anyone who isn’t N Harmonia anyway) so the Marshtomp then took the pile of dirt and placed it on the mound, and continued to wait for its partner to come topside while digging. It took some time, but eventually, something came flying out of the hole, and the Garchomp clambered out a few seconds later, catching it with its clawed appendage and then making its way to where Izumi and its fellow companion was, levitating another pile of dirt off to one side.
“Garchomp? Gar, garchomp! Garchomp!” it said, causing her to look up in the direction of where the voice was coming from—and she saw that there was something that looked awfully familiar hooked on its claw; before shaking her head. “Nope, sorry, that’s not the one I need. Can you keep looking?” she said with a sheepish look on her face, gesturing for the Garchomp to leave the artifact somewhere and to return to its digging. This it did, and it laid the artifact down somewhere before shuffling off and diving into the hole again.

Izumi knew that she was on her last chance; otherwise she’d never get another thing afterwards. It wasn’t until she’d stopped digging that she very nearly missed the next item—and that, was more than enough to make her flip over out of surprise (and coincidentally, hidden rage). There it was, a Moon Stone, glimmering in the unearthed dirt. But I don’t have any ‘mons that evolve by this weird thing… she thought to herself, considering on passing on it; because the last time she got a Fire Stone; but she really did need it in that instance. Ah, I know… she thought to herself as she then picked up the Moon Stone and pocketed it. “Well, I’m taking this. I know someone who can make better use of this. Just… have to send it all the way to Unova first though,” she said with a sigh as the Gardevoir approached her and looked at her with an eye of concern. “No, Momo, I’m fine. Today is just… bad…” she said with a sigh, waving her off and extracting herself from the hole.
She then proceeded to where the Garchomp and Marshtomp were still digging holes, and whistled to catch their attention. The Garchomp was about to dive in another attempt; but seeing that their mistress was already holding the shovel over her shoulder, both stared at her. “Today was another bust. Come on, let’s get out of here. You guys need a bath… and quite frankly, so do I…” she said a few moments later, catching a most peculiar scent wafting from her direction—the sweat had dried out and now made her feel sticky all over. “Well, let’s get out of here. We can come back another day…” she said, quickly balling all three ‘mons that were assembled in front of her. “…another day of trying to chase fruitless information, it seems,” she mumbled, more to herself than to anyone else in the vicinity.
