elcome Adventurer to EPOCH! A Pokemon Sandbox Rp set in the original region of Nue. Everything you need to know will be in the Guidebook and PokeDex 101!
EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.

f Jason was going to be in a new region, he might as well have fun while he was there! He had been visiting the tourist sites of Castellia City when he realized he hadn't caught any new pokemon from the Unova region. Jason took a day off from sight seeing and entered the nearby Pinwheel forest, searching for one of the region's new pokemon. Around him the trees grew so high they seemed to reach the sky, forcing the forest into an unnatural dusk.
Not wanting to be alone in such a dark place, Jason reached into his pocket and found a pokeball, tossing it in the air to reveal Nyx, the Deino. She opened her mouth and yawned, before sniffing the air. As her head bobbed up and down, smelling the scents of the forest, Jason smiled. Even though she was blind, the little dragon pokemon probably knew more about its surroundings than Jason. Finally finding Jason's scent in the mix of all the others, Nyx made her way to her trainer and nuzzled his leg lovingly. Jason chuckled and patted her on the head, glad she was there with him.

he fact that a rather large storm had passed over the area a few days ago really wasn't a worry to Jason. Actually, Jason was glad that it had rained. Whenever it rained like that, water pokemon were usually out exploring the area more, not having to worry about getting dehydrated as often. As the dragon and his trainer wandered around the area, Jason kept his eyes pealed for any sudden movements while Nyx kept her nostrils open for any unfamiliar scent.
Suddenly, Nyx sprinted forward, leaving Jason in her wake and she began blasting an intense dragon pulse at a puddle. "She must have smelled something.." Jason thought as he caught up to her. "In fact.." Jason pondered as he sniffed the air, it smelling of cooked fish, "I can smell something too!" When he arrived at the scene, there was a cooked Magikarp and a happy Deino happily munching on its tail.

s the small dragon munched at its lunch meal, pairs of eyes stared at it from the bushes. Neither the dragon nor the trainer noticed them, for the trainer was scolding the dragon for being reckless. "You don't know if there was a Gyarados nearby, searching for its young! Don't ever kill a pokemon, unless you're starving.." Nyx then made a groaning noise, as if she were starving. ".. Which I know you aren't because you ate two breakfast this morning! Now, finish that and never kill an innocent pokemon. No matter how annoying useless it is." Jason said, finished scolding Nyx. He sighed, watching his dragon type eat at the fish. Training Dragons were tough, much more so than Ghost; both of them said to be the toughest types to master. Nyx was a kind enough pokemon, but she loved to bite at things and ever since she mastered Dragon Pulse, she enjoyed frying anything that made a sound. As Jason mused over his pokemon, her head suddenly bounced up from her lunch, looking in the direction of some nearby bushes.
"What's wrong, Nyx?" Jason asked, worried about what she had heard or smelled. He knew her hearing and smelling were far greater than his own, and she would be capable of spotting something well before he even realized anything was happening. That's why when a few seeds suddenly bursted forth from the bushes, she didn't flinch. The attack did very little damage, and she returned it with a blast of draconic energy from her mouth, blasting whatever was in the bush. Out came a singed Cinccino, followed by another Cinccino and three small Minccino. The dirtier Cinccino squeaked at Nyx, apparently arguing or something. Nyx simply barked, "Dei!" The two glared at one another, well the Cinccino glared and Nyx just looked in its general direction since she was blind, and then it came forward, alone. "Maybe it's some sort of battle? To determine who is the stronger pokemon?" Jason thought to himself. That's what it looked like to him; A pokemon battle without trainers. And so it began! Nyx immediately let loose a stream of teal energy that enveloped the scarf pokemon. As the attacked died down, sparks of electricity streamed across the silky fur of the Cinccino. It attempted to move, but found it was paralyzed! Nyx took the opportunity to rush forward, the same colored energy as before engulfing her body as she slammed full force into the Cinccino. Once again, the scarf pokemon attempted to move, but found it was paralyzed. Nyx was about to go in for the death kill when Jason shouted, "Stop!" Nyx turned her head to her trainer. He sighed and threw an Ultraball at the Cinccino, not wanting Nyx to eat it.

ne tick, then two ticks, and the final third tick. Jason had successfully caught, more like saved, the pokemon and was going over to retrieve the Ultraball when the other Cinccino walked forward, leaving the three small Minccino behind, and stood in front of the Ultraball. "Oh.." Jason said, sighing. There was only one way to take care of this.. "Nyx!" Jason called, gaining the attention of his Deino. "Deidei?" She asked, confused. With another sigh, Jason pointed at the Cinccino and simply said, "Food."
Worst idea Jason ever had. Ever. Immediately after hearing that word, Nyx went into action. Her body was once more surrounded in draconic energy as she went in for the Cinccino, not even giving it a chance to react. Her body slammed into the body of the other pokemon and it was hurled into a nearby tree; yet, Nyx wasn't done. A sphere of teal colored energy formed in her mouth, and she released it, causing the Cinccino to be blasted by a pure pulse of draconic energy. It whimpered, but got up, ready to attack. Nyx didn't want to give it the chance. She finally ran towards and it sank her teeth into its small body, an audible crunch coming from her actions.
"DOWN, NYX, DOWN! DROP THE POKEMON!" Jason shouted, not wanting the poor thing to die. Nyx did as she was ordered, although reluctantly, and Jason took the chance to throw an Ultraball at it, not wanting any more harm to befall it.

he blinding white light that always come from pokeballs was no different this time as it swirled around the Cinccino and engulfed it in its metal shell. It dinged a few seconds later, signaling the successful catch. Jason quickly picked the two Ultraballs up and returned Nyx, not wanting her to wander off and eat something else. Training Nyx was going to be harder than he realized. She was a good enough pokemon, but her stomach seemed to be bottomless and she would snap at anything that moved.
Just as Jason was leaving, he heard a cry, then another, and finally another; the trio of cries singing out like a depressing quartet minus one. "Shit." He said, suddenly remembering the baby Minccino he had seen. He didn't want to harm them, not a single one of them, but he had no idea what to do with them. It felt oddly familiar, the situation he found himself in, to how he had caught.. Melena! She was always cooing and cawing over her children, surely she would express some motherly instincts towards these triplets as well? "Whether she does or not," Jason mused, "she's the only one who won't try to eat them." Pulling out her ball, he released her, and she looked around in confusion. Jason just pointed to the crying baby pokemon, and Melena's instincts took over. Her mighty wings were in motion as she flapped above the three crying pokemon, all of them looking up with tears in their eyes. Melena descended to the ground gracefully and carefully, allowing the small baby pokemon to snuggle up against her soft cloud like wings. As they warmed up on her silky wings, she sang soothing songs, putting all three of them to sleep.
Jason, watched the scene, a sad smile appearing on his face. What he saw was unfamiliar to him and probably would stay unfamiliar. Nonetheless, he threw three pokeballs at the sleeping pokemon and waited for the ding.
