So she’d decided to take some time off, and decided to make use of one of the Sevii island Treasure Hunting tickets in her possession. Now she was on what was known to the locals as Knot Island, and she was armed with a shovel and a bucket; where she could toss whatever she would find into the bucket; and then hoped that things would go well! Seeing that she was on a flat expanse of apparently deserted beach, she then decided to look around for a bit, letting her toes wiggle in the sand—she was still wearing a decent shirt and a pair of shorts; but also had a set of shades perched atop her head; which she then brought down as the sun decided to announce its almighty presence.
“Okay, now where to start…” she said to herself, walking through the area, hearing the sound of the wind howl and blow. She then noticed that it was a bit too quiet, and then she called out one of her ‘mons to keep her company, and in a burst of red light, out came Momo, her Gardevoir—who gave a pleasant stretch and then proceeded to hug her mistress! “Yes Momo, we’re here to relax… let’s start digging up stuff? Who knows what the heck we’ll find…” she trailed off, finally selecting a good spot and then quickly letting the bucket fall to the sand.
“Voir? Voir, gardevoir?” she inquired, watching as Izumi quickly hunkered down and began digging through the sand, wondering if she would be able to find anything of interest and of use! The question here was, would she be able to find something worthwhile…

After shoveling through the sand for what felt like an eternal amount of time, she felt her hands brush something weird. “Oh, Momo, look I think I got something!” she said, digging even more quickly and furiously. After finally unearthing all that sand (and some of it even went in Momo’s direction, completely by accident) she then lay bare to see… an apple core. “Oh you have got to be kidding me!” she said out of disgust and surprise, before hissing a few profanities under her breath. She then sighed, before gently plucking the discarded apple core and then placing it near the bucket, because there was no way in hell she would tolerate littering in the area.
“Gross. Well, let’s continue digging…” she said after a few moments, tying up her hair to make sure that it was well out of her face and then hunkering down again and then grabbing the shovel as well, before starting to displace another layer of sand in the area. Now, what would she find this time, seeing as it was just plan insane to find trash scattered and buried at the beach! Come on, come on, give me something worthwhile because honestly this is nuts… she thought in the back of her mind, feeling the sweat pour out of her body and dripping down onto the crater that she was digging up as well. “Give me something interesting, there has to be better stuff hidden here…” she said to herself, making sure to displace all the sand ever-so-carefully.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found A Pokeball ! Bleached from the sun covered in scratches and with a small dent on the top right side. 1pokeball added to inventory

After going through another patch of sand, she was digging so earnestly she almost missed the scraping feeling her hands experienced as she tossed another clump of sand off to one side. At this point, Momo had seemingly settled down and was watching her mistress digging through the sand with amusement; and she was very much enjoying her mistress’ distress at not finding something worthwhile (at least for now). After Izumi realized that the last patch of sand sounded a bit ‘different’, she then eased herself out of the small hole she was digging and then began sifting through the sand… and then realized that she’d found something.
“Well, at least it’s something,” she said with a slight grin on her face, finding a battered, yet still serviceable, Pokeball. She then gently placed it into the bucket (as the disgusting leftover was just beside it) and then returned to the sizable hole she’d dug up so far. “Well Momo, two down and a few more to go… I hope this one gives me something good… what do you think?” she trailed off a few seconds later, looking at her Gardevoir with this piercing look. “Voir? Gardevoir,” she heard her ‘mon reply with a shrug, and she then sighed, before picking up the shovel again and digging through the hot sand once more.
What would I find this time? She thought to herself as she continued to displace sand into the nearby vicinity.

She’d begun digging at a more careful pace; because after finding the Pokeball, she knew that anything else could turn up. But who knew what would turn up when her hands brushed against something hard. “Voir, gardevoir?” she heard Momo ask her from behind; who had now taken to lying down on the sand and was now apparently trying to bask in the rays of the late afternoon sun. “I dunno Momo, I’m not sure about this…” Izumi said, before finally abandoning the shovel and resorting to using her hands to paw through the sand. At first it was hot it scorched her hands; but after some time her hands toughened up to the hot sensation and she was now brushing away the rest of the sand that seemingly held a buried bottle. “Wait a second I thought messages in a bottle only happened in fairy tales,” she said all of a sudden, showing her companion the bottle.
“Voir, gardevoir. Voir…?!” she heard Momo exclaim, flailing and pointing at the note inside. “I know Mo, I know, give me a second, let me open this bottle,” she said, struggling with it for a while before finally reaching for her shirt tail and wrapping it around the screw-top. After huffing for a few moments, it finally came loose, and out tumbled a piece of paper…only thing was, neither mistress nor ‘mon could understand what was written on the piece of paper! “Oh my goodness I think we got ourselves a mystery on our hands,” she said with a mischievous grin, staring for a bit at the paper before passing it to the Gardevoir who then took it in her extended hands and looked at it blankly as well.
“Place it in the bucket along with the bottle, I have a feeling we’ll still find something worthwhile…” she said, picking up the abandoned shovel and then digging through the rest of the sand again. She knew that she had approximately one more chance, but who knew what would come up…

After digging through the sand, she felt like that there was nothing more that would come out of the entire experience…although… “Voir, gardevoir?” she heard Momo intone a few moments later, pointing to a particular clump of sand—it was whiter than the other parts all around it, and this time. Izumi threw her hands up in disgust. “Ah hell. At least we got a Pokeball and a ‘message in a bottle’ out of this…” she trailed off, finally extracting herself out of the pit, and then finally patting herself down and doing a weird kind of dance in order to get all the sand out of her clothes. “Well, at least we got the bottled message. Wonder what it says. Want to find out what it translates into?” she asked the Gardevoir that was looking quite…tanned…for its species, and Momo gave her a nod of its head; before pointing towards the bucket.
“Ah yes. Come on, let’s go find someone who can translate the contents of this weird message. Hopefully it’s something we can make use of. If not… well at least you got to sunbathe. I got a sunburn…” she continued, trying her best to crack a joke…but ultimately failing. “Voir…” she heard her companion say before noticing that it was shaking its head in her direction. “Hey! Momo!” she shouted, as the two walked off into the sunset.
