s the blades of grass approached the other pokemon, Jason realized they were too slow. The Graveler shot to the side and the grass simply faded back into the earth. Jasmine was just as frustrated, due in part because of her being empathetic, but also because the attack missed. The emotions emerged as psychic energy that dripped from her eyes. For this reason, she was more than ready for the rocks that were hurled at her, easily teleporting out of the way. When she reappeared a couple of yards away, she turned to her trainer to receive an order, and it was at this moment the first rock struck. Jasmine let out a silent scream, the immense pain and hatred causing her psychic instincts to activate and stop the remaining rocks and slow them down enough so that they fell to the ground, not harming her.
With hate coming off of her like heat from a fire, she turned around and glared at the boulder like pokemon. The glare was, however, more than just a glare, as she made eye contact with it, she attempted to force emotions of hate and anger into its simple mind. Simultaneously, she released the pent up energy that was coursing through her body, causing an invisible wave of energy to fly towards the Rock type pokemon. Her emotions were still hot and she allowed them to feed her energy, blooming from the nurturing hate. Jasmine's eyes were a glowing a hot pink as she looked at the Graveler, yet nothing happened. Jason was confused, quite a bit, but didn't want to call on her in fear that he might interrupt some kind of psychic mediation or something else that was unknown to him.
There was, however, a sliver of hope in Jason that whatever she was doing would cause pain to the other pokemon. Pain that would be the last pain the horri- What was he thinking?! These feelings weren't his and as he glanced over at Jasmine, who was surrounded in pink energy, he knew whose they were. But what about Roxanne? Or her Graveler? Were they also experiencing these foreign feelings...?

Golden light, tunnel white. If I run to you, would you stay? I might be a prototype, but we’re both real inside.
Roxanne was aware that the Ralts was a psychic pokemon. While uncommonly found on trainers challenging her gym, there were still more than a few children in the academy who had them as starters due to the fact that they could be found relatively near the area, rare as they were. As such, she had developed ways to look for signs of the usage of psychic power aside from the obvious glow they use.
One of them happened to be the dust that is move and air that is distorted due to a telekinetic push attack. The very instant she saw that, she wasted no time in alerting her Graveler.
"Jump!"
The Graveler grumbled at the intrusion in his head that was trying to distract him from his trainer's commands and then sparkled again as he jumped up high, becoming even smoother and faster than before. That allowed him to dodge the attack despite the slight delay in reaction time.
Once he landed, he realized that the nagging in his head was still there. With an irritated grunt, he glowed an odd shade of violet to try and shake that off, and when that didn't work he promptly dug a hole with remarkable speed and started burrowing, promptly cutting off the connection.
{Battle Summary}Graveler dodges Psychic with Rock Polish and then uses Curse to try shake off the angry feelings. When that didn't work, he goes underneath the ground with Dig, using the semi-invulnerability of the move to escape the angry feelings.
Evolution Pending! Due to your timeline for your threads, your Ralts will not be allowed to evolve in thisthread to avoid conflicting stories.
However, your Ralts has the proper proof to show it can evolve, so if you wish to simply get the Initial Evo item deducted now, please PM me for the inventory update.

he boulder pokemon leaped high into the air, dodging the pyschic attack from Jasmine. Seething as the annoying rock type once more dodged her attack, Jasmine restrained herself. She knew soon her simple seeing into the future would give her an advantage over the monstrous beast. She would have chuckled, were she able to, when the blundering boulder turned a shade of purple, attempting to rid himself of his incoming doom. Her girlish giggling would have continued had the damned boulder not began to dig underneath the ground, completely hiding itself. Then, as she was about redirect the energy, it burst into the area, striking the place the Graveler had just been.
Jason, on the other hand, was completely unaware that Jasmine had been planning an attack. He was caught completely off guard by the sudden rush of psychic energy and the trembling beneath his feet. This was not a situation he liked. "Jasmine, cover the area underneath you with a net of grass then brace yourself!!" Jason called from his position on the field. If that stupid thing wanted to attack her, he'd have to go through razor sharp blades of grass first.
Jasmine, shaking with rage, immediately set to pulling the blades of grass around her feet, fashioning a net on the ground underneath her. She then used her anger as fuel, preparing a teleport for when the giant boulder pokemon finally came up.

The field on the Ralts' side suddenly began to be covered in large, thick green knots surrounding the Pokemon like a cushion. The small psychic type Pokemon sat in the middle of it, waiting for her Graverler to appear and teleport away. She was aware that the Ralts would simply teleport away at any sign of her Graverler, so she decided to take a different approach. Roxanne knew that her Graverler had a way to deal with the Grass Knot. "Break it." She said loudly enough for the Graverler to hear her.
As the large boulder like Pokemon continued to dig his way through the gym floor, he finally reliazed where the Ralts was and stopped. Looking upward, his fist suddenly lit on fire as he popped out of the ground with the force from the punch. The floor broke away, as well as breaking the grass net, and the Graverler tried to surprise the small Ralts as he came upward through the ground, hoping to strike with the Dig attack.

he scent of burning grass reached her nose after Jasmine had already teleported out of the area. In a flash of light, she had left her spot to one a few yards away from the other pokemon, having felt the vibrations of the earth, and the boulder pokemon's emotions well before it even surfaced with its fiery fist. When it finally did surface, though, Jasmine blasted it with a hypnotic wave strong enough to put a Mamoswine to sleep. Jason nodded, glad she was thinking on her feet. They had not tried this strategy yet, but seeing how Roxanne had reacted to his others, Jason figured she might have already worked out a plan for this one.
"Blast o' grass!" Jason shouted, knowing Jasmine knew what he meant. Jasmine, however, was not completely sure if the hypnosis attack worked, but she followed through and began lifting her arms in the air and then pointing at the boulder pokemon, sending blades of grass out to kill.

The Graverler quickly ran out of the area once he popped up, avoiding the Hypnosis in the process. It was a slightly humorous sight to see such a large chuck of rock move at high speeds. The Pokemon ended up back on his side of the field. The Ralts had attacked again, sending blades of grass towards him to try and attack. However, the Graverler's fist lit up in fire again and he met the move head on, burning the grass as the burnt pieces fell to the ground. He shook off his fist a bit as his hand had came in contact with the move. Even though he had burnt through it, the Graverler still felt some of it. Though, not enough to make him react in anyway but the fist shaking.
Roxanne shifted on her feet. The Ralts would not sit still, teleporting left and right without being hit by much. However, she had confidence in her Graverler to hit his mark when it counted. His speed was still high, and she was going to take advantage of that. "Attack." She said.
The Graverler sped up across the field, picking up large chucks of rock off of the ground. He tried to come up on the small Ralts, tossing the rocks at high speeds towards the small Psychic type.

O
nce more the small psychic type watched with annoyance as another one of her attacks was easily pushed aside by the enormous boulder pokemon that seemed to move with the speed of a Pachirisu. Jasmine's eye twitched when the pokemon met her blades of grass with fist of fire, the thing mocking her in a way by grinning while it did so. She would not, nay, could not allow such disrespect from a being with such small intelligence! As she was about to propose a plan of action to Jason via telepathy, she heard what seemed like a train travelling across the field, but knew it was simply the unbelievably fast Graveler.
If the boulder's attack style was staying the same, Jasmine knew what was coming next and was prepared. She focused her anger and annoyance into a fuel for her psychic energies and obliterated the incoming rock projectiles. About to push another pulse of psychic energy, she quickly transferred the energy to a teleport, narrowly avoiding the second wave of rocks from the Gym Leader's pokemon. Fury building up inside of her, Jasmine threw her arms down and allowed her emotions to spark the psychic energy within, a massive wave like attack of pure psychic energy left her, hurling across the field at the boulder pokemon.

Roxanne shifted in place. The Ralts was a difficult target to hit, that was for sure. The Psychic type just kept teleporting all over the place, and it was hard for her Graverler to any more hits in. However, the Ralts released another wave of Psychic energy. Roxanne intended to keep a straight face, but she let a eye twitch out as her Graverler was hit by the wave. It was unfortunate for her and her Graverler. He was a large Pokemon, and even with the speed boost he wouldn't be able to actually jump up that much to dodge a wave. However, Roxanne regained her cool posture. She expected her opponent to celebrate the hit, which is when she would strike.
The Graverler knew exactly what to do as well. The large boulder became the shiniest it could be. Shine bright like a diamond mofo. It sped across the field towards the Ralts, picking up half of the field as it ran. For a large boulder, it couldn't have jumped very high but it could still run at high speeds. This time, the Graverler chucked multiple rocks at the Ralts. But not all were aimed directly at her. Instead, the Graverler tossed some off to the side and in other various places. If the Ralts did want to teleport away, she would a risk of coming into the other Rock Blasts as well.
{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Battle Summary}Graverler was hit with Psychic, then used Rock Polish. Then used Rock Blast x5, scattered across the field in hopes of hitting the Ralts even if she teleports. x3 were aimed at Ralts, x2 were scattered around. 60% Attack + 1, Def + 1, Speed + 6

he situation that Jason and Jasmine found themselves in was annoying, extremely annoying. Anytime they attacked, the freaking boulder pokemon simply got faster and dodged their attacks. It was relieving to see one of her attacks finally make contact with the Graveler. Just as Jason and Jasmine were about to celebrate, however, the boulder pokemon did just what it had been doing. It shook its body for a second or two, becoming even shinier than before! Jason's face dropped when saw this and he sighed, becoming even more frustrated. Jasmine crossed her arms, unimpressed by the simple strategy the pokemon was using. She looked to Jason for a split second in order to get more instructions.
The other pokemon took this split second to attack, but Jasmine knew it was coming. Anytime she turned away the pokemon attacked her, so she would return the favor. As the chunks of rocks were hurled at her, she lifted a paw up into the air, a blast of psychic energy coming forth and colliding with three large pieces of earth, oddly enough two of the other ones went in different directions. She then put her other paw in the air, causing a pulse of psychic energy to go outward, hurling the rocks back at the boulder followed by her own attack. Jason decided she should add more to her attack and called from his position on the field, "Sleep!" A quick nod was Jasmine's response as she sent forth a blast of hypnotic energy, hoping it would hit its mark.

The Graverler watched as his own rocks were being tossed back at him. He sped across the field. His feet moved quickly, dodging each of the incoming rocks as they slammed into the ground in his wake. He skidded to a stop and looked over at the Ralts, which was a bad idea. A psychic wave washed over him, making him extremely drowsy. He staggered on his feet and tumbled backwards, landing on his back as his eyes slowly closed. A loud snore echoed through the building as the Graverler was clearly asleep.
Roxanne stayed quiet, but had many thoughts going through her head. If her Graverler didn't wake up by the next turn, then this battle was over. However, she had to admit. It felt like it had been going on for longer than it really had. But she couldn't just hand a badge over to him right now because her Graverler was asleep. She had to wait until next turn. There was a chance it was a one turn thing, but she couldn't be certain. Her eyes drifted over to the opponent's side of the field and she watched the Ralts carefully.

o longer a surprise, the Graveler was easily able to dodge Jasmine's attacks, dashing to and fro as each of its own rocks were hurled back at it. Jasmine and Jason sighed simultaneously, with Jason rolled his eyes and Jasmine crossed her arms. Would anything change? However, the boulder pokemon made a grave mistake. He glanced over at Jasmine, probably to gloat, but was then hit by the sleep inducing wave of energy that Jasmine had let forth earlier. He took a step back, the onslaught on his mind something different than he was used to. Before the minute was up, a loud snore came out of the Graveler's mouth that brought a smile to Jason's face. Roxanne, on the other hand, probably wasn't as pleased. Her eyes drifted over to Jasmine and watched her carefully.
Jasmine considered her options, and then looked to Jason, sending images of earlier in the battle when she attempted to use Grass Knot on the boulder pokemon. Jason nodded, letting her know he agreed with her plan. Jasmine uncrossed her arms and raised one paw in the air, her eyes glowing bright pink, and a strong psychic force held the large Rock type pokemon to the ground. Then, with her eyes still glowing from the use of her psychic powers, she lifted her other paw and blades of grass came up from the ground and rushed towards the pinned Graveler, their blades of grass sharpened to a point.

Roxanne didn't even need to say it. The Ralts had lifted the Graverer while he was sleeping and sent a fury of blades towards him. She had one last ditch effort, and that was to wake the Graverler up before they hit. "GRAVERLER!" She yelled out, hoping to reach him in time. The Pokemon stirred and fluttered his eyes open. However, by then it was too late. The Grass Knot hit and slammed the Pokemon out of the Psychic hold, tossing him down onto the ground with him on his back. The Graverler moaned and didn't move after that, his eyes closed and his arms went limp. Roxanne sighed and recalled the Graverler to his Pokeball. "Good job." She said quietly as she placed the Pokeball away.
She walked across the field and stood before Jason, her hand on her hip as she sighed but ended up with a smile as she faced him. "Good job out there. Your Ralts is well trained. It was a well fought battle, and you deserve this." Roxanne held out a badge in her hand and it shined in the light. "I wish you good luck on your future Gym Battles. The others are going to be tough, so hang in there." And she honestly did wish him good luck. The other gyms out there were tough, Roxanne knew that first hand.

he entire scene replayed throughout his mind, over and over. Jasmine held the large boulder pokemon in place with her Psychic attack as it slept, unable to do anything, and then brought forth a flurry of blades of grass to attack the pokemon. As the deadly flora swept across the field, Roxanne called out in desperation to her pokemon, waking it; however, it was too late. The Ground and Rock type pokemon was hit by the super effective attack and was hurled out of the Psychic hold and onto its back. A moan of pain escaped its mouth, and then the eyes fell and its arms went limp; The mighty golem finally defeated. Roxanne sighed, watching her pokemon fall, and recalled it, whispering something to the pokeball as she put it away.
Jason, still in awe at his win, recalled Jasmine, mumbling something about how proud he was to her as the beam of light enveloped the body of the Ralts. When he looked up from putting her pokeball away, Roxanne stood in front of him, a hand on her hip. A sigh, barely audible, left her lips before she pulled out a gym badge, her gym badge, and held it before Jason. The Stone Badge caught the light and glinted, looking like it was worth thousands of dollars. Smiling at Jason's expression, Roxanne said, "Good job out there. Your Ralts is well trained. It was a well fought battle, and you deserve this." Per usual, Jason gave her a dazzling grin and took his prize, the Stone Badge, and said, truly meaning what he said, "Thank you. Really, thank you." He knew what he was going to do. He would be a trainer, no matter what odds he faced, no matter how difficult the road became, no matter how lonely he became..
Saying his thanks, Jason began to leave, and he heard Roxanne call out to him, "I wish you good luck on your future Gym Battles. The others are going to be tough, so hang in there." Jason smiled at her words and left the gym, the battle having been over at last.
