So far, Thomas' run through the mountain temple had been very fruitful. While he had stumbled across two familiar stones, one of them was traded off when he last found it, so he counted himself fortunate that he managed to get a hold of another Mega Stone that seemed to go to Steelix. At least, the fact that he found them in statues that went to Steelix seemed to indicate that for him.
In any case, it was now another day in the temple. Thomas knew he had to work fast in order to be able to leave the place when it was a period of calm in the storm that had overtaken the region this month. So after packing up his camp for the day, and taking a cereal bar with him to quick eat along the way, Thomas proceeded through the temple.
He would find himself climbing up a set of stairs before being confronted with a pair of double doors. Thankfully, he was able to push them himself.

Upon opening the doors, Thomas used his flashlight in order to quickly check out the area. Aside from a vase sitting on a pedestal in the center of the room, Thomas would find five doors within his sight. All of them seemed to be marked with different carvings, none of which he could clearly make out without getting in closer.
Upon walking into the room, Thomas would walk up to each door in order to examine the signs. From what he could tell, the different carvings seemed to be slots of some kind. And upon pushing the doors, he'd find them to be locked. So Thomas would have to find the keys to the doors in order to progress.
The trainer looked around the room for something that resembled one of the five carvings. That was when he walked up to the vase, and gave it a gentle shake. Hearing something rattling inside, Thomas immediately attempted to dump it out, only for the thing to be caught in the top of it. That was when Thomas simply threw the thing to the ground forcefully, the resounding crash filling the room as the ancient vase shattered to pieces, and a piece of metal that looked like a wheel was liberated from it.
Immediately, Thomas ran up to the door with the circular pattern carving, and placed the stone inside of it. After hearing a click, the trainer pushed the door open with relative ease.

What Thomas would find in the next room would slightly disappoint the trainer, but would nevertheless serve a purpose, he hoped. The room itself seemed like nothing more than a small closet with another one of those vases inside. The trainer remembered that the last vase housed a key, so the trainer picked up the vase, and shook it, hearing the sounds of rattling inside. Immediately, he threw it against the wall, watching as the ancient vase shattered, and out came a cube-like object.
The trainer grabbed the cube, and inspected the other doors. Eventually, the trainer would find the door with the square-shaped slot after the fifth door. The trainer quickly inserted the cube into the slot, noting a perfect fit. As with the last door, a click resonated through the room, indicating that the thing had finally been unlocked. The trainer carefully pushed the door in order to see what was one the other side.

Beyond the unsealed door in the temple was a large room with a statue of a Salamence in the center of it. And at the back of the room was an ancient set of armor used by what seemed to be a large, muscular man judging by the size of the armor. And behind the armor was a mural depicting a battle at a village between an armored man on the back of a Salamence and a group of bandits. After what looked like a transformation he had seen in the book he was shown in Iceburg, the results were the Salamence driving off the invaders.
Thomas looked to the Salamence statue, and saw something inside of its mouth. Immediately, the trainer looked inside to see whether or not the thing had hinges on it, if it was a trap that would take off his hand. Thankfully, the mouth seemed fixed, so the trainer quickly snatched the marble inside of its mouth, and got out of the room.
