The festival was underway, and of course, going just as planned without a hitch. The newcomers who were visiting the small town of Polar Point appreciated the idea and reasons behind the creation of the eco friendly utopia and were more than willing to help by donating a few dollars or what they could at the conveniently placed donation boxes dotted around the snow covered grounds. Then there were the events Olivia had planned out. Each event met the needs of the many aspects that went along with pokemon training, from coordinating to battling, and there was even some stuff to do for those who did not follow the pokemon filled path. All in all, the "Polar Point Party", as it had been deemed, was a huge success.
And any successful plan deserved a well earned drink, or at the very least, it did in Olivia's eyes. After closing the door to her roomy office located in the town hall of Polar point, she took a seat in the lavish chair that was near her and pulled out an expensive bottle of wine she had had imported from Kalos. Not by jet or ship, that was horrible for the environment, but rather via grunts. Grunts, willpower, and quite a few Wingull. The details did not matter now, though, because she had her wine and her glass and was ready to drink. Being queen, or regent rather, had its perks.
The brunette haired woman uncorked the bottle, allowed the aroma of crushed berries to fill her nostrils, and began to pour. As she did so, Olivia thought about the "royalty" that she had learned to put up with over the past few months. Not that the girl, Valentine, was any trouble, Olivia just could not stand her overly positive outlook on life. The child was a Gym Leader for Arceus' sake, she should know the troubles and woes of life and how to learn from them, but instead, she hid behind her pillow fort with a well placed blanket covering her innocent eyes. The middle aged woman could not really complain, though, seeing as it gave her access to the pokemon league and a bit of a warning whenever they tried to do something... Olivia stopped pouring just in time, as the glass had almost been filled to the brim. Taking a cautious sip, as to not spill anything, Olivia enjoyed her wine alone, just how she liked it.

I'm a fuckin nightmare dressed as a daydream
Michael's feet met the snowy ground with a thud, and he quickly readjusted the scarf adorned around his neck. He wasn't here like the rest of these mundane people to enjoy this nice little show Team Aqua had put on; no he was here for something far more serious. He was checking out the competition. That and he had heard a rather particular rumour about a certain bluebird nessling itself at the utmost point of this island, and he couldn't let that rumour go uncheck. Today he would be hitting two rather large birds with one stone, and the first one he'd be hitting dealt with Team Aqua directly.
He needed to have a word with the one in charge here, the one who dealt so publicly with everyone else. If he remembered the newspapers correctly, she went by the name Olivia. His hands moved themselves into the inside of his pockets as he made his way through the small town. Moving his shoulders to the left and right as he weaved his way through the crowds of people here enjoying Aqua's Polar Point Party. In Michael's mind this had to all be a front for something bigger, he knew Team Aqua. He grew up in Hoenn and had been a member of Team Magma the group that had fought against Team Aqua for control of the region and the Hoenn legendary Pokemon. This...reformation as it wasn't just didn't seem on the up and up, but he could be wrong the real way to know was to talk Olivia.
His feet stopped moving when had arrived at the center of the town, and watched as a brunette matching the description of Olivia entered into the town hall. Even if it wasn't here, starting their was likely the best course of action. He took a deep breath and moved towards the building, opening the door and walking inside. The temperature inside of the town hall was vastly different from the cold weather that was taking place outside. Even Team Aqua needed to keep warm huh? He chuckled and approached the front desk, "I need see Olivia." he didn't bother to mention why to the grunt at the front. Said grunt did look at him rather strangely, before pressing a button on her desk. Likely paging the lady in charge. "Tell her someone from the local paper would like to have a word with her."
Olivia had taken just a few sips of the expensive wine when the office phone began to ring. With a sigh, she put her wine glass down and answered it, her voice cold as she said, "I'm busy, what do you need Caroline?" The assistant, a local girl who had come to Polar Point to escape her parent's scrutinizing eyes, was a prime candidate for Aqua; yet, she lacked disciple. Which was why the girl now had the job manning the front desk of the town hall. Said assistant restrained the sassy comment she was ready to make, and instead said with a more pleasant tone, "Someone from the paper is here to see you, he didn't say which though." Olivia paused for a moment before she answered, pulling some pokeballs from her bag and placing them in the emergency release hidden underneath the desk, and said quickly, "Send him in, and have some grunts ready on hand."
The Aqua leader hung up the phone and waited for this "reporter" to come in. The woman was no fool, and although she loved the spot light and Aqua needed the publicity, she would not be letting her guard down for a second. Having had experience with reports before, she knew they almost always explained what paper they were with before interviewing someone. This man, appearing with no announcement and claim of what paper they're associated with was suspicious, and Olivia would take measures to ensure her safety. Should this be some attempt at an ambush, she would be more than ready.
Of course, that was just her assuming the worst. Which she did often. Olivia would rather be safe and over prepared for whatever walked through that door versus being idle and vulnerable to any attacks coming her way. If a pokemon battle did break out in her office, however, it would be a bit of an annoyance. She'd have to get new flooring and probably lose all the paperwork hidden in her desk. Alas, these were woes of being in charge.

I'm a fuckin nightmare dressed as a daydream
Michael foots tapped impatiently on the ground as the lady made her phone call to the boss in charge, judging by the look on her face it didn't seem to be going all that well for her. She had likely interrupted her in the middle of something, and Michael might have felt bad for the girl if he hadn't been feeling rather impatient. A few more moments passed and the woman put the phone down, and took a deep breathe. "That bad?" he asked, but got no reply and was instead motioned to the hallway behind the desk.
"Second door on the left."
He rolled his eyes and began to move towards his destination. Out of the corner of his eye he caught sight of the girl picking up the phone once more, and motioning towards a couple of grunts nearby. He couldn't help but let a grin form at the edges of his mouth. Olivia was certainly cautious now wasn't she? It would be highly unlikely that he'd be able to get by with simple characters like Elijah or Elias. This encounter would require him to play one of his better-rounded and thought out roles. Hell, he'd even venture to guess that he might actually have to be himself for once. That was a truly scary thought, within the Michael's mind. Could he even play that role anymore?
He'd find out soon enough. His knuckles hit against the door that led to Olivia's office, but he didn't bother to wait for her to tell him to come in. He was already on his way inside, and the door shut itself behind him. A smile placed itself upon his lips as he took notice of the woman and the room around him. She had been drinking wine. Perhaps celebrating the level of success here little cover up had received. "The way the woman at front look, it was if she had interrupted you during something important." he placed his hands behind his back, "She also was awfully keen to motion towards some guards on my way back here. he let a small sigh escape from his lips, "I'm not blaming you, as the leader of Team Aqua you must have threats against your life all the time. I promise you though I'm not one of them; I'm simply here to know why the sudden change in heart?"
The mistress of Aqua took another sip of her imported wine and savored the flavor and the silence. Perfect. Until a loud knock on the door brought forth a rude awakening to the woman in charge. A man with short blond hair come into her office, presumibly the same person who had knocked so loudly on her door. She eyed the man for a minute as he made a comment about the woman at the front, Caroline, and how she he had looked like she had interrupted something important. Which she had. Anything Olivia did was important, from taking a bubble bath to doing the crosswords in the newspaper. Her activities were of the most importance.
Olivia took a drink of her wine as the amber eyed man continued to speak, changing the position of his arms as he did so, and sighing at the end as well. From his body language alone, the brunette charmer could deduce that he was proud of his knowledge and felt as if it gave him a better position for he had discovered her "strategy". Apparently, though, he was sympathetic to her. He could only assume how many times her life had been threatened and the troubles that went along with it. He, though, was only there to promise that he would do no such thing and to ask the question that the entire world had been asking for the last nine months or so; Why were they saving the environment?
A pregnant pause filled the room as Olivia sipped at her wine and pondered the man's question before she put her glass down and motioned towards the seats on the other side of her desk. "Sit, sit." She said, watching the man for a moment to see if he would. Continuing, whether he sat or not, she'd say with a sad smile, "You are not the first person, nor do I doubt the last person to ask me. And I'll give you the answer I give everyone and will continue to give until the day I die: Because we care. Because I care. This world that we live in is a precious gift that shouldn't be thrown aside for money, power, or whatever it is the Human mind craves. Mother Nature needs to be protected and revitalized, and that is exactly what Team Aqua is here to do." It was a powerful little speech she had said, and her eyes looked worn and a little watered from it, showing how passionate she had. Such a delightful little act she had put together and rehearsed hundreds of times, and in reality, had to perform just as much. People were curious and wanted answers, so Olivia gave them what they wanted, with some flare of course. Sighing, she took a small drink of her wine and said, "Now, seeing as you have no recording devices or paper with you, I must ask why you are here and what you want." She had played out her part and it was time to see what this man would put out. "Also, if I may ask considering you know mine, what is your name?" Olivia added before taking another sip of wine.

I'm a fuckin nightmare dressed as a daydream
He could feel her eyes on him, examining him. It was only fair really, and logically if he was being honest. She needed to know as much as she could about this stranger asking to speak with her. You could get a lot of information by looking at a person and examining the actions that they took. Humans were always giving away things about themselves even if they weren't aware that they were doing it. Brief moments of disgust, or surprise crossing their faces only for a second. Most people were so unaware of these things that were easy to miss. For someone like Michael though? Who studied people and their actions in order to accurately recreate them, it was easier to spot. It was likely just as easy for Olivia as well; people in a position like hers had to learn to read people after all. It made getting what you want out of them easier, but Michael would not be so simple to read.
He watched with half interest as she shipped on her glass of wine, as if it mattered little what his true nature here was. An awkward and long silence filled the air between, as neither bothered to say a single word to the other. Both were too caught up in looking for some kind of weakness, or change in the other. Something that neither of them found, and caused Olivia to be the first to speak. "Thank you." Michael said as he pulled the seat away from the desk and sat down; he folded one leg onto the other and interlocked his hands. A heavy sigh escaping from his lips as he did so, as if the action of actually sitting had taken a lot more effort than he wanted to. A sad and awfully telling smile edged its way onto Olivia's lips before she spoke. Giving Michael the same speech she had likely told others so many times before, repeated until it became nothing more than second nature to her. Sure, she added the emotion into her eyes, and their truly was a hint of sadness within her voice but that didn't change the fact the speech seemed awfully rehearsed. "You expect us to believe that? A lot of people put up a good front, but it really only hides their true motives. You can pretend to want to protect the environment all you want, but that doesn't change the actions you've taken in the past. It likely never well."
After he spoke she was quick to pick up on the fact, he had nothing out to actually write down or record her reply. Perceptive. He would have expected nothing less from someone running such a high priority group like Team Aqua. He chuckled lightly, "I see that you pick up on that." she probably knew he wasn't a reporter from the moment he walked into the room. He didn't let it show but he was beating himself up slightly for having slipped up like that, but it was to be expected. He hadn't had to go up against someone like this in a while, it was a perfect test of his skills. Showed him just how much more training he had left to do when it came to his acting, and his ability to deal with people in general. "You're right though I'm no reporter, a job like that would be awfully boring for me. My actually line of work is far more interesting; I suppose you could say it lines up with yours. At least it lines up with your past anyway." he held his right hand out towards Olivia, "Michael, Michael Price" she better have felt lucky. She was the first person in Nue to know his actual name, it either meant he respected her or had something to fear. He wasn't entirely sure which one it was at the moment.
"As for why I'm here the reason still stands, I want to know more about you. Because I'll be honest, I really don't buy into this eco-friendly crap. I use to run with Team Magma and I've seen what Team Aqua is really capable of and this right here? This doesn't seem like them at all." he stood himself up from the seat and moved himself towards a window at the side of the room. "I know Team Aqua is under new management, but please tell me this is just a front? It be a shame if you've guys are no longer had interest in anything fun." he let a bit of a sigh escape from his lips as he turned his back away from Olivia, "But I suppose if you can't handle your lifestyle it's okay." he chuckled.
Doubt, just as everyone else in the world had. Not that Olivia couldn't blame them. There was a mountain of shit that Team Aqua had done and the current team was slowly, ever so slowly, reaching the peak. Once they were over that obstacle it should be easy sailing from there, or at the very least, that was the idea. Olivia listened to what the man had to say, just as she did for every other moron that came up to her telling her how bad Aqua was and how impossible it was to purify their rotten name. Do they honestly think that she is not painfully aware of the hardships that come with the name Aqua? It was infuriating for Olivia to hear countless people who consider themselves to be in the "right" tell her how "wrong" her team was. What did they know?
The ever lasting barrage of how hard her troubles were finally ended, and the blond man began to congratulate the brunette for realizing something so painfully obvious. Of course he wasn't a reporter. No reporter would dare come into her office so unannounced like that. The nerve of some people. In fact, Olivia was ready to bring it up when said something that stopped her for just a brief moment. He considered himself to be in the same line of work as her? Or her past? That could mean a variety of things: eco friendly company, model, or in charge of a team...?
His name was spoken in such a tone that Olivia nearly gagged. As if she was lucky to have heard it or meet him! Ha! As far as Olivia was concerned, this man was a nobody. Irrelevant and unknown. "Micheal Price" he had said. She had never heard of him and that meant he did not keep with her circle or with any of the circles that her spies were hidden in. Well, she'd have to get more information on him. Presenting him with a smile, she shook his hand tentatively.
"Well, well, it seemed someone was open about their information." Olivia thought as the man began to explain how he felt about Aqua. She would have to remember his name and search up his information in the old Aqua archives. The man, Micheal, was disappointed apparently in how Olivia was handling her team. What a shame. And then the blond, unfortunately, pulled a blonde moment. He laughed at her. Well, chuckled, but it was still the same in Olivia's eyes. An icy fury that few have had horror to see crossed her face as the man turned from her.
Standing from her own chair, Olivia's full height came into being as she slowly stalked her way towards Micheal, each step echoing in the room as her high heel shoes hit the stone floor. When she was near enough to him, she placed a hand on his bicep ever so lightly, her touch comparable to that of a single drop of rain. "Why, my dear, it is not that I cannot 'handle' my lifestyle as you put it, but I must 'handle' or manage an entire island. An entire island of citizens, team members, and pokemon all completely loyal to me." Olivia said, a smile as cold as the glacial trails that ran outside of town showing on her face. Her eyes bore holes into Micheal and she only wished they would do so literally. The powerful brunette continued speaking, slowly crossing behind the amber eyed man to inspect him some more, and said with the innocence of a child, "I could have the entire population of the town, around six hundred people, eliminated in the night and it would be looked upon as a natural disaster." Olivia crossed in front of Micheal, blocking whatever view he had of the snow filled town of Polar Point, and continued speaking and placing a hand on his chest and attempting to push him back lightly, her words doing the work for her as she said, "Every single person who has arrived on the island for my little festival could disappear over night, and no one on the mainland would ever be aware of how." By now, the two were in front of the chair Micheal had gotten up from, the back of his legs most likely touching the chair. Olivia applied just a small amount of pressure to try and force him to sit down. The mature and well endowed Regent of Polar Point bent down to be face to face with the now sitting Micheal, her cleavage visible at just the right angle, and said in a mere whisper, "But it's just my lifestyle choice, isn't it."

I'm a fuckin nightmare dressed as a daydream
She seemed awfully confused about his about his name, actually he wouldn't even called it confused. She seemed more amused by it than anything, likely because it was a name she had never heard before. Which all things considered was a good thing, his name wasn't meant to be known. It wasn't meant to be something that could be so easily learned by others, and shared amongst the masses who spoke about him in hushed tones. At least not yet anyway, somewhere down the line his name would be something to be feared. Michael Price would be the very meaning of a name with power. Anyone who heard it would find themselves shaking with fear and with jealously over the amount of power that came his name. These things took time though, and required a healthy amount of planning.
He peeked his head over his shoulder when he heard her stand up from her chair, something he had done or said perhaps invoking a reaction from her. He could feel the icy cold storm that was her anger as she stepped up towards his back, each one of her steps the sign of an on-coming storm. He forced back a smug smile, when he felt her hand on his arm. Her touch was light, a betrayal of the anger slowly building up inside of her. Her voice entered into his ear shortly after this, boasting about how she had an entire island and team of members to handle. Yes, yes. She had all of this power, all of this control, and what was she doing with it? Trying to better a world that was already so far gone, that she was wasting her time.
How many people had tried this before her? Tried to be so eco-friendly without it having any result on the world. What made her different? The fact she had the name Team Aqua under her belt? Please. That only made it harder. Assuming of course the real goal behind this newly reforged Team Aqua was truly to make the environment safer, something Michael still wasn't buying into. The chances of that ever happening were severely slim. Even if the rest of the world wanted to buy into what Team Aqua was selling, he would never.
She began to circle around him; her eyes on him like a eagle or in this case like a shark hunting its prey. That's likely what she thought of him as too, some kind of prey. An unknown man, with an unknown name, stepping into her territory and claiming she was incapable. Of course he was like prey to her, he as a small little fish in the big wide ocean that was hers. She made sure he understood this by making it point that he knew how easily it would be for her to remove the people of this island. Assuring him that it would seem like a natural disaster had taken place, but how true was that really? There would be people who doubted it. There would always be people who doubted, and that would come back to bite her in the ass.
Michael titled his head to the left as she stepped in front of him, his view of the town becoming blocked by her body. A hand placed itself upon her chest, and everything Michael knew about movies and TV made him think they were about to kiss. Foolish thoughts really. He found himself being pushed backwards it was only a slight push but nonetheless Michael took a step away from her. Letting her continue on with what could only be described as a rant at this point. He no longer hid his smug smile; he let it play fully on his face, when he found himself being pushed into the chair again.
Olivia bent over and so that she was face to face with Michael, and the only thing the blonde found himself focusing towards was her chest. Even as she whispered towards him, his eyes stayed focused on the bits of revealed cleavage he could see. Then for the first time since she had started this rant Michael spoke, "Nice boobs." he said with a smug smile before folding his legs together. "I suppose that's not what you wanted to hear though." he chuckled, and moved his eyes away from her chest and towards her face. His amber eyes filling with a mix of glee and what could only be described as evil. "I'm guessing you want me to be impress by your show of force, and how easily it would be for you to remove me." he brought his lips towards her ear, "I'm not though; all you did was prove my point." his voice was a hushed whisper.
"I will say you did wonders for making me thoroughly attracted to you though." he moved his head away from her ear as he spoke, arms folding against his chest. "If I had been a reporter you'd be very screwed right now, luckily for you I represent a group looking for partners. Perhaps you've heard of them, they were in the news quite a bit way back when." there was a long pause in the air between the two of them, "Cipher."
The man, to no surprise, was not impressed by her words, but rather her breast. Olivia would have been offended if it were not for the fact that she had exposed her cleavage in purpose. No matter the man, well if he was gay this does not exactly apply, they always fell to the power of the breast. The man, Micheal, pulled himself closer to Olivia and put his lips to her ears, and as if he was whispering lovely words of praise, but instead, told her how wrong she was. Her threats did nothing but prove a point to him, of which, she had no care for. Olivia did not have any interest in knowing what this point was or what it had to do with her, she just wanted to have this man out her hair.
Micheal pulled himself away from Olivia's face and the brunette charmer stood up from bending over and listened as he made a comment on how she had succeeded in seducing him. She had already been aware of this, of course it had worked, Olivia was not that old. Hell, she doubted the blond haired man could even guess her age. The Aqua leader scoffed at that and listened as he rambled on about how bad it would have been for her were he a report. Was he seriously that stupid? She would have never behaved in such a way were he a reporter. An ex runway model, Olivia knew how to deal wit the paparazzi and would have done so appropriately. Smiles and glamour was what any reporter had in store if they came to interview her.
Olivia had turned away from the amber eyed man and was walking back towards her desk, ready to call in the security she had gathered earlier, when he said something that caused her to stop. Cipher. It was a surprise, and that was something that rarely happened to Olivia now a days. While she had indeed assumed he was in charge of some team, claiming he had experience in her line of work was an obvious hint which he should have been more careful with dropping, but Cipher? As far as she was aware, that dastardly desert team had been disbanded years ago when their attempt at taking over the Orre region was stopped by some kid. And by using their own weapon against them too! It reflected their inability to organize themselves and keep track of their supplies. That weapon, however, was what had sparked her interest in Team Cipher in the first place. The Snag Machine, as it was called, had the ability to override the pokeball's registration system, basically destroying it from the inside out, and corrupting the souls of the pokemon with in. The now corrupted pokemon, or shadow pokemon as the press called them, were then captured by the users of the Snag Machine. All in all, it was an incredibly powerful machine that Olivia wanted to get her hands on.
The Mistress of Aqua turned again to face Micheal, her arms over her chest and a look of boredom crossing her face, and she said with a tone that practically screamed 'kill me now before I have to listen to another word', "And why does that matter to me? You seem to be under the impression I am searching for allies for my team. In fact, as far as I know, your little team was disbanded a few years ago, and in Orre for that matter. Meaning you have little to no resources, members, or power. What do you have to offer me that I don't have already?" Olivia's heels click clacked across the floor as she made her way to her desk and put her feet on the wooden tabletop. She pulled a nail filer out from a drawer and began to file away, keeping herself looking good was always a priority. Without looking up from her nails, she continued with as much emotion that one of the ice sculptures being built on the other side of town had, "I also wouldn't be so quick to leave now that I've rejected you. Our conversation, it's being recorded as we speak, and I would not want to have the public knowing, or even worse Interpol, of this little resurrection of Team Cipher." She blew on her nails, the particles from the filing flying away, and added, "You're going to offer me one hell of a deal for my silence, and perhaps, my partnership."
