Sarah Laid on the grass of the park watching the dark cloudy sky, any it looked like it could rain at any time, the kind of weather she loved. She Smiled lightly, the scent of the air reminded her of home “Hmm I wonder how mom is doing with her research, I hope she has discovered something new…and big brother I miss him, even though I haven’t been gone all that long…I suppose it’s stupid to be home sick, especially since I have made some new friends already.” she spoke to herself thinking of Mime Jr in particular.
The teenager frowned I really need to learn how to make human friends, its so silly…back home I am famous for all the grand festivals I’ve won and on the battle field I can be really brave but outside the battle im a coward[/i] she sighed to herself.
Sarah moved her hand from her stomach to her side to pet growlithe on the head the flame pokemon wagged his tail and gave a huff of approval, it was his women’s place to pet him and show him some affection. Sarah looked down as the pokeball from her belt shook and out emerged mime jr.
The mime pokemon jumped about dancing and twirling, in a playful mood. Growlithe glared at mime jr and barked telling the mime jr to settle down and when mime jr ignored him, growlithe gave another huff and got up and slapped mime jr upside the head with it’s paw before sitting and wagging his tail. Sarah frowned, as usual Growlithe felt the need to assert his authority. Sarah shook her head, there was no way she was gonna jump into this, mime jr rubbed the back of his head and mimicked growlithe by slapping the puppy upside the head with his hand, the teenager face palm and mime jr mimicked that as well.

Tyntill... Was that how you pronounced it? Josh Dragomir was still... Well. "Nue" to the Nue Region, but he'd been exploring and trying to get a serious feel for the place while the ranch, and his home, were being built here in the region over in the Wilds. He hadn't been in this town yet, of course, so this was his first time coming around.
Dragomir was a young man, long blonde hair, brimming, shining brown eyes... He stood at a firm 6'2, with a build toned out from years of hard work and experience with Pokemon. He was wearing a long black leather jacket, with a dark blue t-shirt underneath, black pants, black boots, and was wearing a blue scarf to boot, a compliment to the black fingerless gloves adorning his hands. Walking beside him was a Pikachu, obviously his partner considering it wasn't in it's ball, who was wearing a similar scarf to the blonde.
It was there that they would notice a pair of Pokemon, a Growlithe and a Mime Jr, slapping one another. Suddenly, one of Josh's Pokeballs would open up, bringing out his Bulbasaur, Gustave, who would rush over. Before Josh could stop him, the Bulbasaur would suddenly use Power Whip, powerful vines extending from his bulb and slapping both Pokemon upside the head. "Bulba!" He would bark toward the both of them, scolding them and telling them to make up. Josh would run over and pick up the Bulbasaur. "I'm so sorry!" He said to the girl who was obviously their Trainer. "My Bulbasaur sees a lot of bickering back home between my other Pokemon, and he's taken to using Power Whip when it happens like his mother used with him and his siblings after they'd hatched. I guess the habit spread to anywhere, and I apologize"

Sarah had looked up just in time to see a bulbasaur running and power whipping her pokemon, she raised an eyebrow as mime jr and growlithe glared at the bulbasaur. Mime jr was about to mimic the moevements when Sarah recalled mime jr to the pokeball, growlithe glared at bulbasaur, one rogue flamethrower and he would be eating a plant monster roasted and toasted.
Growlithe barked at the bulbasaur warning him, that he was the alpha pokemon in this area, Sarah looked at Josh, the guy seemed to be apologetic “that’s alright, you have an adorable little bulbasaur.” she Stammered feeling a little shy, she tried to hide it with a smile, the teenager wondered who this guy was and where he came from.
Growlithe on the other hand approached josh and looked up at him, as the alpha pokemon, he had to protect Sarah. He leaned in to sniff the male’s leg getting familiar with his scent and sneezed he went back to Sarah’s side and sat beside her he was still tempeted on frying the plant “um…my name is Sarah, what’s yours” she asked curiously. Sarah was curious with this trainer, hopefully she would be able to find out something more about him.

Josh knew that Gustave meant well, even if it could get him in trouble. He had been taught to behave himself, but he caught onto his mother's habits of breaking up fights and ensuring that others behaved as well. So sometimes he disobeyed Josh to run off and stop fights himself... Like a little superhero dinosaur without a cape. The Bulbasaur would glare at Mime Jr as it was returned to it's Pokeball, and Josh would smile when the Trainer would forgive him.
"Thank you, I love your Growlithe" He said as he would reach down and pat the Growlithe on the head. "I actually have two of them. Salia and Max. I have one of them with me, now that I mention it..." He began, pulling out a Pokeball from his belt. He would tap it to make it grow to full size before it would open, bringing out Max. "Arrooo!" Max would howl, and Josh would chuckle as he scratched behind the ears of his own Growlithe, who would pant happily in exchange.
"My name's Josh" He said as he would offer for Sarah to pat Max as well if she so desired. "A pleasure to meet you, miss"

Sarah looked at Josh, the bulbasaur was indeed a cutey, she had been meaning to capture one, but they were so difficult to find out in the wild, she thought about the best ways of engaging the male in a discussion about where he got the grass pokemon, Sarah listened as the male complemented her growlithe after thanking her.
She watched as growlithe was petted, she was surprised normally the fire puppy didn’t like male trainers, she smiled watching growlithe wag his tail, he was enjoying the affection. Sarah was only half surprised to learn that josh had a growlithe of his own, he actually had two. With swift movements she watched as the trainer brought out the growlithe and raised an eyebrow.
The growlithe looked cool, of course not as cool as her own, Sarah looked at max and smiled she petted the pokemon briefly before her growlithe gave a huff, she smiled and scratched growlithe’s sides. Max is really impressive, it’s a surprise to run into another trainer with a growlithe, how long have you had max, if you don’t mind me asking” she asked curiously growlithe looked at max and yawned, he knew he was the alpha male, compared to him max was just a little pup.

Of course, if she would ask, Josh would refer her to the Safari Zone. You know, the place that you go for catching any sort of Pokemon that is considered "Rare" in the Nue Region. I mean, it's advertised that way, right? He didn't know about her Growlithe's distrust of male human beings, but Josh was someone who seemed to be able to get along with pretty much every Pokemon if he was gentle. With his history of being around them, he'd developed a scent that a Pokemon like her Growlithe could easily trust.
When it came time for Josh to bring out Max, the Growlithe would look around, before panting happily to the attention and affection from Sarah. "He's just a puppy, actually" Josh revealed. "A few weeks old, I believe. I haven't had him long. I've had my other one, Salia, a lot longer" He would add. "Salia likes digging, this one here, Max, seems to be more happy about battling, and tries to jump in during training" He explained. "He'll be ready for full time battling soon"

Sarah listened as the male explained, about the area known as the safari zone where rare pokemon existed in this region, Sarah made a mental note to remember the place, she would travel there, train and perhaps capture some pokemon that were rare.
Just hearing about it made Sarah want to go there and get started, but she couldn’t be rude and do such a thing while she was still interacting with this stranger. Growlithe was curious to hear how long josh’s pokemon had been with him, and when he heard that the pup had only been in training for a few weeks he gave a bark like laugh, he sat valiantly full of pride, if he was in the mood he would have offered max some tricks “A few weeks, that’s cool, I;ve had my growlithe for a long time, in fact I raised him from an egg, he seems to share the same traits as max…he loves to battle and sadly he loves chilli” she spoke frowning, knowing exactly how gassy growlithe got when eating chilli.
Sarah petted her growlithe, showing the pup affection “so would you say, battling pokemon is how you see them in terms of an occupation, would you consider yourself a trainer” she asked curiously.

Of course, if she'd listened, Josh had never actually said a single word about the Safari Zone, that's just what he would have said had she actually asked about where he had caught his Bulbasaur from. But alas, not much we could do about it. He would listen intently as Sarah would detail how she had gotten her Growlithe, how long she had owned her Growlithe, and other ticks and tacks and all sorts of things like that. "Chili?" He would ask. He questioned that decision. "Chili hurts a Pokemon's stomach, if I'm not mistaken. I leave it out of their diets, I don't want to wish harm upon my Pokemon" He explained.
"I would consider myself a Trainer, yes. Along with being an actor, a resident adventurer, asskicker, and all sorts of little things" He said with a laugh. Ah, Josh was back to being the snarkinator, he realized.

Sarah looked at the male, while she had petted her pokemon she sighed, she felt frustrated and had no idea where this frustration was coming from, sometimes people just never made things clear and she herself was like that being vague at times and leaving things open to interpretation.
The teenager had listened to him telling her that chilli hurt their stomachs and growlithe snorted it wasn’t anywhere near painful “uh not the chili by itself, but the mix you know how you mix it in with mince meat, sauces herbs…bits of spicy stuff that kind of chilly, my growlithe loves it too” she responded.
The male seemed to think a lot of himself, that he was a trainer and actor, she looked down at growlithe and he was barking out in laughter, Sarah smiled as she scratched her pokemon’s head, she loved her growlithe she looked at josh “well it sounds like you are quite talented” she spoke with a smile Josh Dragomir
Post by Josh Dragomir on Jan 25, 2015 11:55:42 GMT -5
"Oh really now?" The blonde would ask when she would make mention of how mixing it with certain herbs, meats and sauces could keep the chili from hurting a Pokemon's throat. "I'll take note of that. I just remember my friend, Izumi, feeding my Pokemon chili once as a test run... It... Didn't work out" He admitted, scratching his head and giving a sigh. Awkward.
He would laugh when she would mention he was talented. "Well, I wouldn't say talented" Josh would respond, scratching his head again in embarrassment. "I'm just... Experienced. I've been working around Pokemon my entire life. I spent my childhood working on a ranch based around taking care of Pokemon, and I used to run around feeding them, playing with them, tending to them, nabbing ones that got off property, and all sorts of things. It's why I look like I do" He said, referring to the muscular build of the male. "As well as why I love Pokemon so much. I grew up around them, and I love them. And it's how I've been able to build such strong bonds with them" He said, patting the head of the Pikachu on his shoulder. "Chaaa~" Lightning would coo affectionately in response, seeming to love the attention. "Lightning here has been my partner for a very long time now"

Sarah listened to the male speak about his past, how he grew up around pokemon, Sarah looked at her pokemon, he sat so valiantly, his head held up and full of pride, she looked back at the blond, and smiled “well I bet you must be a very knowledgeable and strong trainer, it’s been said that the experience we have makes us who we are…growing up around pokemon, spending your childhood working on a ranch…you must have learned a lot” she spoke with a smile.
The blue haired teenager thought about her own upbringing, spending a lot of her time on the beach when she wasn’t surfing she was reading in her room, and on her tenth birthday her father coming home and giving her a pokeegg as a birthday present she never would have imagined that her life would come to this.
The teenager suppressed a chuckle “would you say that you’re a strong trainer” she asked wondering what the trainer thought of himself, she wanted to know just how experienced he thought he was. where will this young man end up in life, will he fufill his dreams, will he reach the top or will he be kept down by the harshness[/i]she thought to herself waiting for the male's response
Post by Josh Dragomir on Jan 26, 2015 11:09:45 GMT -5
Josh would smile faintly, politely, but brightly in some fashion; in response to her kind words, yet those of fact, of truth. The blonde would nod as a rebuttal. "I have learned a lot" He agreed. "Truthfully, I've only been a trainer for about 2 years. But the things I've seen, the things I've done, and the bonds I have shared... Along with my upbringing, I have a lifetime worth of experience under my belt. And I wouldn't trade it for the world" He responded, his smile only growing brighter by the moment.
For a fleeting moment, the blonde haired Trainer would think back to his experiences. His time spent around Pokemon throughout the majority of, if not his entire life. FInally going on his journey in a world not meant for Pokemon Trainers... The end of that journey, and then the beginning of a new journey, in a world where he many times wished he had been brought up in to begin with.
"I wouldn't say strong trainer is the word for it" Josh would respond to her words. "Strong Pokemon, yes. All of my Pokemon have strengths and weaknesses in some aspect. But they're all strong, they were raised to be that way. So if my methods of training them, my compassion towards them that drives them to be strong in all situations makes me a strong Trainer... Well, so be it" He said with a casual shrug.
"And how long have you been at your profession, young lady?"
Post by Sarah Wentworth on Jan 26, 2015 17:31:00 GMT -5
Sarah had listen to josh speak about the fact he had only been a trainer for two years, she had to admit it was surprising, most kids become trainers at the age of ten where she was from perhaps there is different laws here that make it you have to be older in order to become a trainer[/i] she thought quietly.
The blond had an interesting philosophy when it came to strengths and weaknesses for some reason, it made her think that he meant more than just type advantages and disadvantages, she was aware of pokemon and their amazing capabilities, but still she couldn’t believe that her growlithe would be taken down easily, that he had a weakness other than water type pokemon, she shot a glance at her puppy chilli[/i] she mentally sighed and frowned, there was no way her puppy could resist the chili.
Josh had asked Sarah how long she had been at her profession and she blinked “Lets see, roughly about five years, at the moment I guess you can say I am on holiday leave, I am actually considering moving here it’s really nice to be able to blend in” The teenager froze at the last part she was afraid she might have let things slip. "Although, just by the look of you i can see you would be a tough opponent in a battle, it makes me envious, i don't feel i am that strong as a trainer" she spoke frowning.

Of course, Josh had wanted to become a Pokemon Trainer at age 10. But his parents didn't let him, despite them being Trainers themselves for so many years, so credited, so loved, so renowned and respected... So successful. And yet, they didn't let him near it. Actually, as soon as they could, they shipped him off to Sinnoh to study Psychology as soon as he graduated from school. They wanted him nowhere near the Pokemon Trainer's path.... And when he came back... Took that journey anyway... He soon found out why.
"Oh really?" Josh would respond as he listened to her story. She was an interesting sort indeed... She had said she was a Coordinator, right? "Holiday leave? And why is that?" The blonde would ask, tilting his head. She never really said why she had gone on leave. Perhaps he could pick her brain and find out? Or perhaps..."
"It's a lovely place. And yeah, I know my way around a battle or so.... But it takes practice" He said with a smile. "Why don't we have a sparring match, meant for training? We can just stop whenever it's good to stop" He offered. Game on.
Post by Sarah Wentworth on Jan 26, 2015 22:32:38 GMT -5
The teenager frowned as josh asked the question “well I am um somewhat popular in Unova, it’s kind of hard to explain” she responded in her foreign accent, The thought of a battle had made Sarah nervous and excited, she smiled with glee “A sparring match sounds fabulous, I never turn down a chance to train.” she spoke jumping up, Growlithe barked in excitement and she placed a hand on her hip, “how about a tag training session two on two” she suggested. The teenager had taken a moment to reflect Lets see, this young man has a bulbasaur and a growlithe, I could use growlithe in battle flame burst is a great move that strikes two at the same time, the problem with that is if he uses growlithe and his growlithe also has the same ability that would only empower his growlithe…should I go for for another team[/i] She thought to herself.
The blue haired teenager folded her arms for a moment while growlithe barked happily finally he would kick some butt and prove he was an alpha pokemon he watched Sarah ready to jump into the line of fire, the teenager on the other hand had struggled to decide this would be a lot easier if I had my competing pokemon with me, the only one who has had true coordinating battle experience is growlithe[/i] She thought.
The teenager looked at josh smiling “welp since you issued the challenge, I think it’s only fair you let your pokemon out first” she spoke with a grin.
