elcome Adventurer to EPOCH! A Pokemon Sandbox Rp set in the original region of Nue. Everything you need to know will be in the Guidebook and PokeDex 101!
EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.

Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.

[Grasslands, Training Thread]
Kouji's assistant had mentioned finding a place in the Wilds that was suitable for a brand new Ranch, and the idea to combine A Taste Of Home and Dragomir Ranch had been born. Of course, Josh wasn't sure where the assistant was, so he had to wander the wilds until he could either find the place, or he got directions from the man himself. For now, he and Lightning roamed the Grasslands in the Wilds, just happy to be able to relax. It wasn't too cold tonight. Decently warm actually. So they'd decided to walk, and then fly if it got too dark.
"I wonder what that large plot of land the assistant kid was talking about looks like?" Josh would ask Lightning, who was walking beside him. The Pikachu would let out a "Pika" and a casual shrug. He didn't know either. But he was just as excited about the prospect as Josh was!

Josh decided that while they were out, he might as well let out some of his Pokemon for some fresh air. He took a deep breath, and let out some of his other Pokemon. "Osha!" Lancelott would let out as he was let out of his Pokeball. "Piplup!" Lamorak let out as he was let out as well. "Alright guys, we're on a trip to the new spot for our Ranch. Enjoy yourselves and get some fresh air. I'm sure you could use it" He said with a small smile. Truth was, he knew both were bundles of energy, and would only cause problems when they got there if Josh didn't let them wear themselves out while they were out here. The two would run around, seeming enthralled with the environment.... At least until they crashed into one another. They would sit up, and Lamorak would do what Josh feared most... Get mad.
"PIP-PIP-LUUUUP!" Lamorak screamed at Lancelott. The Oshawott would blink for a moment before he would get angry as well. "OSHA-WOTT-WOTT!" He screamed back at the Piplup. They would growl at one another, ramming their heads against each other and pushing against. "Hey, guys, guys... Easy" Josh said, taking a breath. "No need to fight. You're on the same team!" He said.
Meanwhile, a Hawlucha had decided that they had invaded her territory, and would swoop down, going for the Wing Attack on the two water types. "Look out!" Josh called, and the two water starters would back up. "Go, Lamorak, use Hydro Pump!" Josh would call. "Piiiip-LUUUUUUUP!" Lamorak would let out as he would unleash a Hydro Pump toward the Hawlucha, hitting it in the back once it's recovered from the failed Wing Attack. It would get knocked forward, but recover and go for a High Jump Kick toward Lamorak. "Jump over it!" Josh would call. "Pip!" He'd let out as he'd leap over, causing the Hawlucha to crash to the ground, hurting it's knee. "Agility, Drill Peck!" Josh would call, two moves in succession. "Pip!" Lamorak would let out as he would suddenly speed up in mid-air, before crashing right into the Hawlucha with his beak spinning like a drill, leaving this in succession for a few moments before the Hawlucha would go for Wing Attack when he went after it again, sending the Piplup back. "Careful, Lamorak!" Josh called. "Whirlpool, finish it!" Josh called. "Piiiip..." He began as he would begin to conjure up the Whirlpool. "Luuuup!" He let out as he unleashed it on the Hawlucha, getting it caught in the whirlpool until it finally broke out and ran away.
"Alright, Lamorak!" Josh said, patting the Piplup on the head, who would jump for joy. Meanwhile, Lancelott was pouting in jealousy. "Osha-WOTT!" He let out, angrily throwing down his scalchop and folding his arms.

"What's wrong, Lancelott?" Josh questioned as the Oshawott folded his arms and looked away from them. He wanted to take down Hawlucha, and Lamorak had stolen the spotlight from him! "Oh, don't be like that" He said. "Piplup!" Lamorak stated proudly, hands on his hips in a proud pose. Oh, what a showoff. "OSHA!" Lancelott snapped at the Piplup. "Pip-Pip-Lup!" Lamorak let out proudly, patting his own chest. "OSHA-OSHAWOTT!" Lancelott responded angrily, seeming to be telling the rather snarky Piplup off. But Lamorak wouldn't have time to celebrate long, as Josh could hear growling around them... That didn't sound good.
"Oh lord..." Josh muttered as he looked around. It seemed they had accidentally wandered into Pyroar territory while the two water types were arguing! This was bad, Josh thought to himself... Surrounding them was 6 Litleo, and one Pyroar, who was the leader of the pride obviously. "It looks like we're going to have to fight our way out, boys!" He said as the two were... STILL ARGUING!
Josh gritted his teeth. "Hey!" He snapped toward the arguing Piplup and Oshawott. "We've got a problem!" He called. The two would stop for a moment to look around. They would freeze, cold. "OSHAAAAA! PIIIIPPPLUUUUUPPPP!" They would both let out, hugging one another for protection out of fear. Within a few moments, they realized just who they were hugging though. "PIPLUP! OSHAWOTT!" They let out as they would let go and face away from one another, folding their arms.
"Gah... You guys, you gotta work together here!" Josh said, letting out a sigh. "... If we get out of here alive, we'll get ice cream?" He offered.
Both of them stopped dead at the mention of ice cream. They hated one another, but they could agree on one thing... ICE CREAM! "Piplup! Oshawott!" They would let out, patting their chests proudly. They were both mirror images of one another in some ways. But Lancelott would realize one thing, he'd chucked his scalchop to the ground! "OSHA!" He yelped, rooting around for it frantically before he found it and put it back on his chest. Whew!
"Alright guys, let's do this!" He said, smirking over at Lightning. "Sit this one out. I wanna see if they can handle this as a team" He whispered to the Pikachu. The Pikachu's ears lowered but he patted his head. "I just wanna test them. You're fine as you are, but if they get in trouble, you step in, alright?" He said quietly. Lightning was disappointed, but he understood. "Pikachu" He responded quietly.
One of the Litleo would step forward, seeming to be challenging the group. "PIPLUP!" Lamorak would let out as he stepped forward, patting his chest proudly. "OSHA!" Lancelott would let out as he would shove the Piplup aside, patting his own scalchop. It was his turn this time! Josh groaned, they STILL weren't getting along! Regardless.... "Lancelott, use Swords Dance, then Hydro Pump!" Josh called. "Osha!" Lancelott let out as he would draw his scalchop, causing illusioned swords to spin around the Oshawott before he would leap into the air. "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTT!" He let out as he would unleash a heavy dose of water at the Litleo, hitting it dead on. It would fly back a bit, before suddenly letting out a screech. Hyper Voice. "Gah..." Josh muttered as he tried to plug his ears. "Lancelott, use Aqua Jet!" Josh would call. "WOOOOOTTTT!" Lancelott would let out, burying himself in a stream of water, which would muffle his hearing for him, a smart decision by Josh, before he would fly through the air and crash into Litleo as it kept trying to use Hyper Voice, sending it back again. "Alright, Lancelott! Aqua Tail!" He commanded. "OSHA.... WOTT!" He let out as his tail turned cyan and he would slam it into the Litleo, sending it scampering away. One down!
Another Litleo would step forward, and Lamorak would shove the Oshawott aside. "Piplup!" Lamorak let out proudly. "Alright Lamorak" Josh said, trying not to scoff at their antics. "Use Agility, then Whirlpool!" He called. "Piplup!" Lamorak let out as he would begin to speed up once again, as the Litleo would go for Hyper Voice once again. The Piplup would struggle as it tried to use Whirlpool during the Hyper Voice... "Fight it, Lamorak! Use Whirlpool! I believe in you!" Josh called. "Piiiiiip.... LUUUUUUUPPPPP!" Lamorak let out as he would unleash the Whirlpool on the Litleo, sending it spinning around, trapped in the vortex. It would try to use Overheat, but the attack would miss due to the spinning as Lamorak would jump back from the poorly aimed attack. "Jump into the Whirlpool and use Drill Peck!" Josh would call. "Piplup!" Lamorak would let out as he would dive in, swimming around in the vortex. His beak began to spin as he would ram it into the trapped Litleo, sending it out of the Whirlpool as it vanished. The poor thing had fainted. Another victory!
"Alright! That's two of the six Litleo down... Plus Pyroar" Josh said, counting them. The Litleo pride had begun to realize it was outmatched one-on-one, and this time two of them would step up to the plate. "Alright you two, you need to work together this time!" Josh said. The Piplup and Oshawott would look at each other, then look away. "Oh god damnit..." Josh muttered as the two Litleo would both unleash a Flamethrower, causing both of them to get hit. They would both let out pained screams. "Lancelott, Lamorak! You have to work together or you're going to be outnumbered!" Josh would call. They seemed to get the message now! "Double Hydro Pump!" Josh would call. Deciding that right now, survival was key, they would nod to one another and attack. "LUUUUUUUUUP! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTT!" They would let out in sync as they unleashed two Hydro Pumps, one each, that would combine together and hit the two Litleo, sending them both crashing into a rock. They would manage to get up, and go for a duel Hyper Voice. "Whirlpool, Lamorak!" Josh would call. The Piplup would manage to painfully bring out a Whirlpool despite the Hyper Voice, and it would head straight for them. "Dive in, Lamorak. Lancelott, Aqua Jet into the Whirlpool!" Josh called. They would nod and dive into the Whirlpool to escape the sound of Hyper Voice, and Lancelott would activate Aqua Jet at the same time. The Whirlpool would trap the two Litleo within it, sending them spinning within. "Alright, now use Hydro Pump, and Aqua Tail, respectively!" Josh would call loudly, trying to reach them within the Whirlpool. They would nod, and Lancelott would nail one of the Litleo with Aqua Tail mid-Aqua Jet as it passed, as Lamorak would catch the other one with Hydro Pump as it spun around in the Whirlpool. The Whirlpool would wear off, and the two Litleo would crash to the ground, fainted. "Alright, two down. Two more Litleo to go" Josh said.
This time though, the Pyroar would step forward, and the remaining two Litleo would with it. Josh would grit his teeth... They were outnumbered once again. At least, until one of his Pokeballs opened up. "Tirtouga!" Franklin would let out as he would motion toward the three. It seemed Franklin finally wanted to join the battle as well! Josh chuckled a bit. "Alright, Franklin! Join the party!" He said as the Piplup and Oshawott would nod toward the prehistoric turtle that had decided to join the fun. That kept the numbers even, but Pyroar was an evolved Pokemon, while the three of them were first form. That meant they'd have to be rid of the Litleo first before they could join forces against Pyroar.
"Franklin... Use Rain Dance!" Josh suddenly called. "TIRTOUGAAAA!" Franklin would call as a burst of energy was shot into the sky. It would suddenly begin raining, and Josh grinned. Fire types were weak to water.... And rain boosted the power of Water type attacks! And they had tons of water type attacks!
"Franklin, use Rock Slide! Lamorak, Lancelott, jump onto the rocks and use Hydro Pump from on top of them!" He called. "TIRT!" Franklin let out as giant rocks would seem to be summoned from another plane to crash down on the three lions. Meanwhile, the two other water types would leap up as they came crashing down, firing Hydro Pumps at the two Litleo, hitting them while they were distracted. And while they were recovering from the Hydro Pump surprise, the Rock Slide attack would hit them both as well! The Pyroar would wisely back up, dodging the attacks.
The Litleo would shoot Flamethrowers at Franklin, but Josh would call for Hydro Pumps from the two water starters, blocking the Flamethrower and dousing the flames. "Franklin, use Hydro Pump on the left Litleo!" Josh would suddenly call. "TIR... TOUGA!" Frank let out as he would fire a sharp stream of water that hit the Litleo head on. They weren't expecting it coming from Tirtouga, and the attack would hit. "Hydro Pump, you two!" Josh said, pointing to the two water starters then the right, stunned, Litleo. They would nod and attack, shooting Hydro Pump and taking down the right Litleo while it was stunned. With them both fainted, only Pyroar remained...
Pyroar would let out a snarl at the party over it's pride being slain. It would charge after Lancelott, hitting him with Fire Fang, before turning around and doing the same to Lamorak, sending them both back as they cried out in pain. "Gah... Alright Franklin, use Hydro Pump!" Josh called. "TIRTOUUUUGA!" Franklin let out as he would shoot a Hydro Pump at Pyroar, who would get hit dead on while looking over at the two he'd just hit. "You two, get up and hit it with Hydro Pump while it's struggling!" Josh called to the other two. "PIIIIIIP! WOOOOOOOOOOOOTTT!" Lamorak and Lancelott would let out as they would fire off Hydro Pumps of their own, also hitting. While it was stunned, Josh supposed it was time to finish...
"All three of you, get together! Combine your Hydro Pumps together!" Josh called. They would nod, getting together in the same spot. "Tirt... Pip.... Osha....." They would begin as the Pyroar would begin to get to it's feet. "TOUUUUUGAAAA! LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPPP! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTT!" They let out in unison as their Hydro Pumps would mesh together after firing, turning into one massive Hydro Pump that hit Pyroar dead on, sending it into a boulder, and destroying it with the combined force. With Pyroar fainted, Josh would nod a bit. "Whew..." He muttered. "Good job, you guys!" He said. "Tirtouga! Pipluuup! Oshaaa!" They let out in celebration. "Pika, Pika-Chu!" Lightning chirped from Josh's shoulder.

Josh sighed as what he hated had begun to happen again. Those two. Lamorak and Lancelott. Were arguing AGAIN! Over what? He wasn't even sure. In truth, they were arguing, in their own language, over just who could take credit for taking on those lions! "PIPLUP PIPLUP!" Lamorak screamed at the Oshawott, who would wag his finger. "OSHA. OSHAWOTT!" He screamed back at Lamorak.
"OSHAAAA!" Lancelott suddenly screamed as he would start glowing. "Whoa!" Josh let out as he looked over at Lancelott. "What the hell?" He asked. "PIP-LUUUUUUUP!" Lamorak let out in panic. What the hell, indeed! Before long, the Oshawott had transformed right in front of them, the light fading to reveal...
"DEWOTT!" Lancelott let out as he would look down at himself. "PIPLUP!" Lamorak yelped in surprise. "Whoa, you evolved into Dewott!" Josh congratulated to Lancelott. "Dewott!" He said happily. "Pip-Luuup-Luuup!" Lamorak let out angrily. He would clench his fist and focus... He could evolve too!
"Piplup... PIIIIIIP-LUUUUUP!" He let out, as if expecting himself to evolve just like that. Unfortunately, all he did was gas out lunch from earlier. "... Piplup?" Lamorak asked softly as he realized it hadn't worked. The newly crowned Dewott stared at the Piplup blankly, before he would fall to the ground, laughing hysterically, pointing at the Piplup. "DEW-WOOOOHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-TT-DEW-WOOHAHAHAHAHAOT!" He crowed, and Josh would facepalm, shaking his head. "Oh, you guys..." He said quietly. "PIPLUUUUP!" Lamorak yelled out at Lancelott, obviously not happy about this. "DEWOTT!" Lancelott would suddenly yell back, and this would go back and fourth to Josh's horror. Unfortunately, their yelling had appeared to have disturbed another set of residents of these Wilds, as a herd of Miltank would suddenly walk over, glaring down at the two.
"... D-Dewott?" Lancelott let out as he looked up at the 8 Miltank. ".... Pip?" Lamorak peeped, before looking back at Josh. The Miltank decided enough was enough and would each start using Rollup. "DEWOTTT! PIPLUUUUP!" The two water types squeaked as they ran toward Josh, who after making sure Franklin was safely back in his Pokeball, would take off, with the two water types running behind him, and Lightning clinging to his shoulder. The Miltank would give chase in their rolly polly balls, chasing after them until they turned a corner, and the Miltank would keep on rolling.
"Whew... That was close" Josh said, wiping the sweat from his brow. They would turn around to find that one of the Miltank wasn't so stupid, and was standing right behind them. Josh raised an eyebrow. "... Oh shit" He said as the Miltank would go for Body Slam.
"PIPLUP!" Lamorak would let out as he would attack using Hydro Pump, sending Miltank back. "Dew?" Lancelott let out as he realized he'd just been saved by his hated rival. The Miltank would recover though and go for Rollout. "Lamorak, use Whirlpool!" Josh called. "Piiiip-LUUUUP!" Lamorak let out as he would charge up and unleash a Whirlpool, flinging it at the Miltank, who would roll into it and get sucked into the vortex. "Leap in, use Drill Peck!" Josh would call as Lamorak would leap into the vortex and swim toward the Miltank, who had just gotten out of it's roll-out. "PIIIIIP-LUUUUP!" Lamorak called as his pecker would begin spinning and he'd ram it into the Miltank. The Whirlpool would dissipate and the Miltank would run away wounded. Josh chuckled as he patted Lamorak on the head. "Great job, Lamorak" He said. "You both did great" He added. "Now, let's go have a break and a picnic, shall we?" Josh asked.
