A not so witty title [Treasure Hunt II]

The transfer to Nue went smoothly. Bosky was a drastic change from Anatase, but he liked it. Even though his Pokemon heavily disagreed. The sudden change in weather didn't sit well with them at first, but once they settled inside the new gym they calmed down. While the skating rink was still getting ready for the gym to be open during the week, Brook found some time to go and check out the region for himself. And one place in particular caught his attention. Similar to the Badlands, the Mega Ruins was a place people were free to explore and take whatever they found. Even though Marshmellow already had her Mega Stone, other people were after them and offered a decent amount of money for them. Plus, it didn't hurt to go and explore.

Brook and Aura walked onto the ruins ground and decided to just take a walk. Once they knew the layout more, then they could get a routine going. But until then, they just wanted to enjoy the scenery.

The Glaceon was attracted to something shiny in the small pond beside the ruins. Aura moved over, leaning over the edge and almost sticking her face into the water to get a better look. Brook approached from the side, kneeling down on one knee and looking into the pond. There was a stone in the water, though it was not a Mega Stone. The size was a little too big and the colors seemed off. It was like a sunset inside a stone instead of a Pokemon's colors. He pushed himself up, looking down at Aura as she stared curiously. "You can take it if you want, Aura. But you'll have to get it yourself." Brook said with a small smile. The Glaceon had second thoughts and pushed herself away from the water. She was not getting her fur wet for a rock that wasn't even a Mega Stone.

The Mega Stone in the pond didn't go unnoticed by Aura. The Glaceon was once again drawn to the shiny objection, but paused at the edge of the pond. She considered walking over and picking it up, but getting her fur wet out weighed the odds of finding a good mega stone. She let that one pass. Aura was fairly sure it was a stone Brook had no interest in either, or anyone for that matter. Even though she didn't know which stone belonged to which Pokemon, she did know Brook passed that same stone back in Kalos. She walked away from the edge, heading deeper into the ruins with Brook following behind. He had to admit, the Nue region was a nice change of pace and weather. His Pokemon were slowly getting used to it, as they would have to. They could always take trips to the icy city, but he had to stick to Wizen for the most part now.

The ruins were an interesting sight. Unlike most ruins, this one almost had life around it. Most of the time, ruins were dark and gloomy. Abandoned by most of the world and let to rot. But the mega ruins were a place of interest that most Trainers visited. Like most of the people that visited the ruins, Brook and Aura hoped to find something valuable. Mostly the Mega Stones. Aura hopped ahead, moving under some of the stone slabs. There was a make shift walkway made up of large stone slabs. Eventually, the two had spent well over twenty minutes admiring the scenery alone. However, The Glaceon stopped. Her nose went down into the corner of the rocks and sniffed at the sphere, taking it gently in her mouth and heading over to Brook. She placed the Mega Stone in his palm. He inspected it carefully for a moment before patting Aura's head. "Good job, we found one." He said with a small smile. After a few more minutes of admiring the ruins, they left and headed back home.
