The Nue Region... Such an interesting place. Why had Josh never heard of it before, he wondered? But as soon as it'd started to become mainstream, and Josh had heard of all the Pokemon he could catch there... Well, he couldn't resist paying it a visit. Apparently, it had Pokemon from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sevii, Sinnoh, Unova... Even Kalos and Orre! It was too much for the blonde to resist, he just COULDN'T resist! So here he was, walking through the wilds of Nue, with Lightning walking by his side, in hopes of catching sight of something to catch... Something he had never SEEN before! Well, that time would come, as three Maractus would be seen... Dancing? They were moving their arms like maracas... Moving to a beat given by their cries. Of course, one of them would notice Josh and Lightning hiding, watching from the trees... It would suddenly cry out angrily! It's companions would stop dancing and stare them down. They had invaded their territory during practice!

"Uh oh..." Josh muttered as they would start to advance toward him and Lightning... Before charging up and using Petal Blizzard! Josh and Lightning would dive out of the way, but they weren't going to stop attacking anytime soon! It looks like he'd have to defend himself here!

Josh smiled down at Lightning as the Pikachu prepared to attack. "Lightning, grass types have the advantage over electric types. Stand down" he advised, sighing as he patted the Pikachu on the head. "Pika pi.." Lightning whimpered, his ears drooping. Josh would quickly take three Pokeballs from his belt... These were all younger Pokemon, as he had left most of his veterans at the ranch back in Hoenn... Looks like they were the only chance he had! 

"Go, Rex! Ignis! Buddy!" he called, sending out three of his Pokemon, all three of them quite young... But each of them had reached the proper age for evolution. They'd had time to grow up, but were still quite young. "Lar!" Rex would roar. "Char!" Ignis would let out as he stretched. "Arf!" Buddy would bark. A Larvitar, a Chimchar and a Houndour were a formidable team indeed. But the combined three Maractus didn't seem to agree as they launched a Petal Blizzard toward the three, all at once! "Dodge!" Josh would call to the three, who would dive out of the way each, except for the youngest, Ignis, who would be hit and fall back. "Char!" He let out in pain, and Josh took a breath. "Come on, Ignis, you can do it!" he encouraged. "Ignis, Buddy, Flamethrower!" He commanded to his two fire types. "CHARRRR! DOUUUUURRR!" They would let out at once as they both sent out jets of flames at the three. One would get hit by both, going down, though not out, while the other two would dodge.  Josh noticed that one on the side was starting to do a dance, while another was charging something up...

"Wait, SHIT!" Josh said as the sun would suddenly shine brightly, and one of the Maractus would shoot a SOLARBEAM! It would go for Rex, and Josh would call out a command. "Rock Slide!" Josh called, as the Larvitar would suddenly summon large rocks, hefting them at the solarbeam and stopping it in it's tracks, destroying the rocks in the process. Josh let out a breath in relief, but knew this was going to be dangerous. He needed to stop these guys as quickly as possible. 

"Rex, use EARTHQUAKE!" Josh would suddenly call. "Buddy, Ignis, jump!" He would then add as the two would jump into the air before the Larvitar would proceed to stomp his foot, creating a large shockwave that would hit all three Maractus!

They would all fly back. Josh knew this was his chance! One of them started to get up, and tried to use Giga Drain on Rex... 

"Flamethrower, Buddy!" Josh suddenly called, pointing to it. "DOUR!" Buddy let out as he would shoot a large Flamethrower that would engulf the one Maractus in an inferno, and taking it down for good. The one from before would start to get up, managing to get alongside it's partner...

"Ignis, use Fire Spin!" Josh would command. "Char!" Ignis responded as he unleashed a spinning circle of fire that would surround them, engulfing them in seerng heat... 

"Flamethrower, both of you, to finish it off!" He called. Both of them would open their mouths to unleash a super hot Flamethrower on them, trapped in the Fire Spin. It would send both of them into the fire as well, adding extra damage. As the Fire Spin disappeared, the final two would collapse to the ground, and Josh would throw Pokeballs at all three of them.
