There's a myth that sits in the mountains that boarder the city. Long ago back in Glace village there were people who lived up in the snowy peaks. They were holy people, monks, the lost, and those who sought out answers to life's greatest mysteries. These holy people were said to have found the path of enlightenment of this world but they disappeared without a trace. The final person to go searching for sanctuary was a woman. She was from Glace village, in a time where the powers of the mind were seen as a curse instead of a blessing. She fled into the mountains chased and shunned from the town for being a witch. She was never seen again and it is unsure if she truly found her way to the summit. There are many who believe that the woman's spirit turned into a Froslass and she now plagues the town with horrible winters. Another lore suggests that the woman is still up there wandering around, seeking the lost village. Because of this, no one dares to explore the mountains above. Their journey's ending at Mt. Halo.

ICEBURGH[attr="id","townname"]
THE CITY OF ICE & LIGHTS[attr="id","towndesc"]
[attr="id","town"][attr="class","columns"]
Sandwiched between Mountains and the Wilds, Iceburgh is the coldest of cities in Nue. Practically kept in a veil of snow almost year round the city has still managed to grow up into an urbanized metropolitan area despite the harsh climate. The cold is something you get used to after a while. Though the downtown boasts its sky scrapers, boutiques and wild game restaurants there is a large skating rink, Glaceon Pond, right in the middle of downtown where district hockey teams practice and compete. The local skaters also manage to slide out onto the ice. Some just for recreation and learning, others who show off their skills either solo or with their partners. Volunteer instructors are also available to teach visitors and beginners how to get out there onto the ice. During the holiday season the Meowth Bank & Trust displays its yearly giant Christmas tree as Iceburgh Celebrates its annual 12 Days of Christmas.
The further out of downtown it all depends on which direction you travel either way hospitality follows along with the soft glow of romance. A surefire destination for any newly wed couple or anniversary venue. Take Route 12 and head towards the Wilds. There you will find the ski resort along with hunting ground, snow shoeing and the Starless Express Depot. Cozy cabins are tucked back into the tall pines and speckle the edge of the mountains base waiting to be rented for the season.[break]
However it is cautioned by Deerling City, Iceburgh, the Ski Resort and the Rangers to not venture too far into the Wilds or attempt to scale the peaks behind Mt. Halo. Only local licensed guides who have been long residing residents can make it through the dense forest, their ability navigate through being passed down from generation to generation.
The Starless Express is a luxury locomotive who's track cuts into the Wilds, looping around the forest and skims the edge of the mountain peaks, coasts by Mt. Halo before stopping at the only Hot Spring of the area called the Demons Tea Kettle. Take a dip in the thermal waters surrounded by black volcanic rock on Day four. Kick back in the heat with the drink of your leisure and stare up at the Aurora Borealis. The 7 to 14 day venture taking you from one side of Iceburgh to the other stopping in Deerling City on the sixth day before the Starless Express unloads the 7 day guests and reloads the new.
Mt. Halo. A black mountain of molten rock and blue fire and home of the Fire and Dark Gyms and also home to the small Luxury hot spring Demons Tea Kettle, which is only accessible by flying types and the Starless Express and a treacherous ever changing foot path that walks over the base of the mountain.

The Forecast[break]Flurries, Blizzard, Snow showers, Freezing rain, Ice storms, Sunny, Partly Cloudy, Overcast, Clear and Biblical
Biblical - Refers to a state in which it's snowing, thundering and lighting all at the same time. A rare and practically frightening sight for those who have never seen it before.[break]
[break]
Temps range from the negative 20's, in the low's of teens and 30's F for the majority. The rare instances of reaching a high 40's cause a fog to roll in and sit in a colorful glowing white cloud over the city. The pocket of warm air making it feel like you could wear a T shirt and not care. [break]
[break]
Wind chill is the killer. The mountain breeze zipping between the buildings can sting the nose, cheeks and fingers. There are weather advisories for staying indoors as much as possible when the winds pick up. [break]
[break]
And there is a team of Slugma that are run by the Street crews when it comes to those days and blizzard warnings. The Slugma following down the middle of the streets melting the ice and snow for safe travel and doing their best to prevent anyone from freezing to death in the night. [break]
[break]
Night Forecasts give Aurora viewing and Mt. Halo Activity for those wanting to witness the spectacle.
[break]
Weather for Deerling City[break]
[break]Deerling City's forecast is similar to Iceburgh's but they don't have a fully opperational Slugma Street Crew. They have a few Volunteer local Fire types who come out and melt the walks and some streets for the town to function but most people out there operate by snow sled, or snowmobile. Snow tires and tread wearing vehicles are a must and Lilpup, Herdier, Stouthounds are extremely popular.

Temple of Insight A Shrine exists inside Iceburgh City that has withstood the test of time. What had once been built into a small mountain side has now watched urban development scrape away it's surroundings to make room for the growing people of Glace village. It is said that here is where the region’s first Mega Evolution occurred, believed to be an Absol. The ancient stone temple still sits fully functional today on its raised perch, slightly frozen-over and watching the people of the city. Temple caretakers (monks and priestess), Trainers and ex-trainers alike still live in it to this day, preserving the knowledge of Mega Evolution across the ages and finding a goal of self-realization.

DEERLING CITY
THE SNOWY PETTING ZOO
DEERLING CITY
Not looking for such a commercially driven place? Take Route 17 or the Starless Express and begin venturing towards the Mountains. The trek will take you across the open plains to Deerling City. A small town built within the crumbling walls of an ancient city who's people are just as friendly as Deerling that over run it. Warm and chummy folk with affectionate wild Pokemon who's existence relies on small local shops, a few expensive boutiques and supply shops for the Starless Express, ice fishing, local fur trade, woodcutters and carvers of chainsaw rustic furniture and log statue pieces, ice sculpting, the bowing Deerling, the Starless Express and their famous syrup taffy. Boasting a downtown area that's a whopping mile long the locals thrive on the tourism novelty their bowing Deerling and Syrup taffy bring. Simply buy a bottle of the syrup concentrate, bring to a boil then find some clean fresh snow and pour gently. Roll a stick or simply use your fingers to pick the cold syrup out of the snow and eat. The kids and even adults partake in it. Gentle rolling hills are where the rustic charm of the other cottages create pockets of glittering warmth on the snow-covered ground. Rent them as a vacation home or hunting cabin it makes no difference. [break]

CIRQUE DES HORREURS
GIOVANNI ZOPPÉ
GHOST TYPE
ICEBURGH
Past the alleyways and through the darkest part of west Iceburgh, the gym outwardly seems like a run-of-the-mill haunted-house themed circus. It's open after sundown and runs until the crack of dawn in order to accommodate the Ghost Pokemon that dwell inside. However, it is closed on weekends and holidays due to the Gym Leader taking that time to clean up the gym and allow the Pokemon inside to rest.
Acting on its theme, the inside is nothing more than a series of haunted mazes and pitch-black rooms. The first room appeals to a House of Mirrors, while the other is a maze with terrifying animatronic banshee-esque dolls that lurk around every corner, and the final is a invisible pit with a single tightrope placed in the middle. Eerie screams from the Pokemon inside can be heard and are used to lure challengers into false sense of security and to add to the effect of this gym's scary demeanor.
Challengers are given a small dim flashlight upon entrance in order to better navigate through the pitch black halls of the gym. The problem is the flashlight only works for so long, and will eventually give out after an hour of being inside the gym forcing the challengers to either leave or to continue navigating based on touch, and sound alone. Better find the gym leader quick, less you become another victim in this circus of horrors.

DARK TYPES
MT. HALO
The Dark Gym is located deep inside the caverns within Mt. Halo. This gym is only open during the evening hours on weekdays and is inoperative on weekends and holidays in order to accommodate the tourists who visit the volcano.[break]
[break]As the gym itself is located within Mt. Halo, challengers must navigate the volcano and its various perils and pitfalls in order to reach it. Due to the volcano’s active status, using the moves Dig, Earthquake, Fissure, and Bulldoze during the trek are not allowed and will cause automatic disqualification. Repeated offenses will be dealt with in court due to public endangerment. However, these moves are allowed to be used inside the gym.[break]
[break]Challengers are required to have a gas mask and will be issued one if they do not have their own as the fumes wafting from the entire area are dangerous and potentially lethal if inhaled in large amounts. They will not be allowed to proceed if they refuse to wear it for safety reasons.[break]
