"CIRQUE DES HORREURS"; THE CIRCUS OF HORRORS - GHOST GYM
REMEMBER, WE'RE ALWAYS WATCHING YOU.
ABOUT CIRQUE DES HORREURS
To know you are born of a good pedigree and good stories to last a lifetime is always something to be proud of. Unfortunately, the story of "Cirque Des Horreurs" is anything but good genes and good stories, rather instead it serves as another haunting tale that is told to children before bedtime. The story of a small traveling group of performers etched well into the history books when it was revealed that these performers were nothing more than men and women composed of certain deformities that made them special. Some were born without legs, others with the hands of a lobster, women the height of skyscrapers, adults the size of an infant and so on and so forth. They were referred to as "monsters" by their ringleader, and by the audience they were "freaks." No matter what you choose to call them, there was no denying that somehow they were entrancing people to watch.
Some would dance, some would sing, others would swing from wires and walk from thin ropes; there were a few that could even swallow fire and juggle swords. And at the center of these spectacles there stood the ringleader, Mars. A brutal man who enjoyed nothing more than torturing these little monsters and bidding them to his will. There were even times where he would lure audience members into his tent with promises of being apart of the show, only to have them maimed and killed. Some of these little monsters were raised solely on the idea of cannibalism something he used to his advantage when torturing the innocent. As time went by people began to notice the large plethora of people that went missing and wandering eyes look straight towards the circus but before anyone could say a word the circus would vanish.
Word eventually got out that Mars was, in the kindness of words, a nutcase. By this time, Mars had gone about changing his name as well as that of the circus; discarding many of his performers in the process and going about searching for new ones which would eventually lead them into Nue. Settling in Iceburgh the small circus expanded as did Mars' performances this batch more brutal than the last. Unfortunately Mars lacked control over his performers and after wandering eyes and rumors of their brutality and past got out the performers turned on Mars, ripping him to shreds and in the process the entire circus was burned to the ground by angry citizens.
After the circus supposedly burned down, the townspeople of Iceburgh awoke to the circus being rebuilt again, this time its appearance was more horrifying than what they had originally scene. Scared and confused citizens tried once again to burn the tents only for them to remain the next day. Untouched by fire people would find that these tents were haunted by ghost Pokemon that were presumed to be the souls of the performers burned in the fire haunting the tent and forever staining Iceburgh with the painful reminder of their existence.

STAFFED BY
GIOVANNI ZOPPÉ
The Ringmaster of this circus. Giovanni is described as being "scary" in his appearance and dramatic in his personality. A possible byproduct of his upbringing, he lacks sympathy and mercy and holds many people in low disregard. A man who carries a certain tone about his voice that allows him to wrap even the cruelest insults in the sweetest of silk, he is a circus dweller at heart and strives to make every battle a performance for his audience to love. A demon whose battle style reflects his personality, he is not someone to be taken lightly and he will not hesitate to take anyone out should you give him the chance to strike.POSITION OPEN

HAUS OF MIRRORS
Upon entering the "Circus of Horrors," challengers are met with a room as twisted as the mind of The Ringmaster. They call it "The Haus of Mirrors." A room meant to trap those inside, it is but a maze with the only obstacle being the mirrors. Made of different curves and design, these mirrors show the reflection of the self with some being more humorous and more terrifying than others. The panels made of glass are but obstacles and tricks to fool one into believing they have made it through. However, many of these panels lead to dead ends, whilst some reveal parts of the maze that you cannot reach. Some mirrors will turn and allow you entry deeper into the maze, while others will send you back to the beginning. There is but one hint to this, "Follow the darkest mirrors that show the cruelest faces." Be warned: Do not follow the ghosts that tempt you to freedom, as they will only lead you so deep into the maze it is near impossible to escape.
DEAD MAN'S LAND
So you've made into the "Land of the Dead." A maze consisting of a dark pit with an invisible floor, the maze is so simple and straightforward that even an infant can navigate through it. There is a deep fog covering the entire area. So simple is the maze, and yet there's a price that comes with it. Around the corners and the alleys, there are women glowing in white. They do not attack nor will they harm you, however, should they spot you their entire face will bloom revealing a metallic structure and the scream that follows is all but unbearable. This banshee scream is meant to send you to your knees in pain. Anyone that succumbs to this deadly scream will faint and be forced to be evacuated from the premises. Now, there is but two ways to stop the screaming. Defeat them or simply shield yourself from sight.
INFINITE
A room covered in darkness with the occasional star cluster that brings a white light to the room. An invisible floor that, should you fall in, will send you back to the beginning of the path. Your only way through this room is to navigate across the white tightrope that leads from one end of the room to the other. Any attempt to use Pokemon to get through will result in you falling instantly and being sent to the start of the path. Better be up to par with your balance before you dare try this challenge. This is the "Infinite" Room and it is the final challenge.
THE STAGE
The stage has been set and you've made it to the grand performance. A circular stage with lights that shape into a pentagon. You will be met with Giovanni rising from a small platform from beneath the floor below.; the spotlight will shine on him and he will introduce himself. He will inform you of the rules and upon having started the battle everyone will step to the outside of the circle onto small platforms and the battle will begin. Sometimes spectators and an audience will be watching.
Battle Choices:
1v1 - Single Battle
2v2 - Double Battle
3v3 - Triple Battle
*Multiple substitutions are allowed.*
