"Hm, Tepig... Tepig... Where could he be?" Josh mused to himself as he walked through the Safari Zone. Izumi and him had been going through lists and they realized that neither of them owned one. And Josh was this close to almost having all the fire starters too. What did he have now?
He was still missing Tepig and Fennekin, of course. Both were pretty damn rare too, he thought. Josh let out a sigh. This was going to take awhile, he thought. But the mountains were no stranger to Josh. Actually, for certain points of training, he LIVED on one. Not the most original idea, but it trained him and it trained his Pokemon. That was the best thing he could ask for, he supposed. He just hoped that his experience in these areas would allow the blonde to find what he was looking for. His track record in the Safari Zone had been pretty good so far. He hadn't always found what he was looking for in particular that day, but he usually came out with something on his list. Hopefully this would continue the tradition.

As Josh wandered through the mountains, something caught his eye. Sadly, it wasn't a pig but an insect. A Larvesta, to be exact. Josh pondered battling it. What was the plan? Battle it and get EXP, or not risk tiring out his Pokemon in case they found what they were looking for? Josh had six Pokemon with him, but who knew what he would need to use should a Tepig show himself?
He let out a sigh and decided to leave the Larvesta to it's business. No use disturbing it when he wasn't going to make a home out of it. Hopefully he'd be able to find what he was looking for soon.
One of his Pokeballs would open and Lightning would instantly pop out and climb onto Josh's shoulder. He laughed a bit and patted his head. "Couldn't stay in there, could ya?" he asked playfully, scratching under the Pikachu's chin. "Pika!" Lightning chirped happily.

Josh looked over and noticed a Larvitar. "Pika!" Lightning chirped as he noticed it. Josh smiled a tad. It reminded him of the Larvitar that was waiting for him back at the ranch, waiting to be used in battle sooner or later.
"I'm sure we'll see ours sooner or later" Josh said, chuckling a bit. "Let him grow a bit before we battle with him. But he's gonna make a hell of a Tyranitar" he promised. "Pikachu!" Lightning chirped in agreement. The Larvitar, meanwhile, would notice them and quickly flee in thinking it might be caught or harmed. Likely going back to it's mother, Josh thought. He thought it best that they keep going before the Larvitar returned with it's mother.... Trying to take on a Tyranitar was a bad idea, especially considering they had no intention of catching either one.
"Time to continue our search" Josh said as they continued to climb the mountain. Josh wondered what they may find at the top?

Josh smiled faintly as he spotted a Charmander innocently grazing. “That brings back memories, huh?” Josh asked as he pointed at the Charmander. “Remember when Fawkes was that small?” he asked the Pikachu. “Pika!” Lightning chirped joyfully. “That was quite a battle, and Fawkes has since become a Charmeleon, then a Charizard, and one of our strongest friends” he said, chuckling a bit. “While it’d be nice to catch this one, I think one fire breathing dragon is all we need for now. Maybe we’ll let Fawkes find a mate sometime and see what happens” he said, laughing a bit. “I just hope he doesn’t fry his own mate. He doesn’t seem to play well with others” he mused aloud. They left the Charmander alone for now to it’s own devices. Maybe they would see it again someday? Who knows. It wouldn’t be the first time he’d seen Safari Zone Pokemon make return appearances. The second time he met Yoshi, he caught him.
Finally, they scaled to the top of the mountain. It sure as hell was a long way down. “Whew…” Josh said as he collapsed onto the ground, sitting down. “Fuck sakes… I wonder what we’ll find up here?” he wondered, looking around the area.

As Josh got to his feet, he noticed his spray can of repel fall out of his pocket and smack into a rock, spraying it everywhere. "PIIIIIIIII!" Lightning let out irritably and covered his nose. Josh noticed a Kangaskhan and it's baby flee the area in order to escape the smell. ".... Huh, well that didn't work out like planned" Josh said, blinking. He really needed to secure his belongings better. He watched as the bottle would fall off the cliff and down the mountain.
".... Shit" he said, letting out a sigh as he sat back down. He looked around, and he didn't see any Pokemon he could be looking for anywhere...
"Gah... Nothing on my list, nothing on my list.." Josh said, irritably, shaking his head. "Damn it all, those passes are expensive too. And with use limits per month. This is a pain..." he complained, sighing. "Well, no use sitting here and feeling bad for ourselves" he said to Lightning with a small smile as he kept walking. "Hopefully our luck will turn around soon!"

"Well... We're basically out of time, Lightning. And we scared all the Pokemon off" Josh said, giving a sigh. "Pika...." Lightning whimpered in disappointment. "I guess no Tepig this time. It's probably best we head back" he said as he looked down the mountain. "Maybe I should-"
Before he could finish, something would almost take Josh down as it swooped from overhead. Josh would duck just in time, but Lightning was stuck in the Aerodactyl's clutches. "LIGHTNING!" Josh called in despair as he looked up. The prehistoric Pokemon didn't look happy, for sure. "PIKA, PIKA!" Lightning cried out. "It's alright, Lightning! I'm here!" Josh called. "Use Thunder, make it drop you!" he called. Lightning nodded, his cheeks sparked...
"Pika.... CHUUUUUUUUUUU!" he let out as he loosed his strongest attack, the bolt of lightning hitting the Aerodactyl dead on and causing it to drop Lightning, who began to free fall. "Lightning, use Magnet Rise!" Josh called. "Pika!" Lightning responded as he would loose a bit of energy. A yellow aura would surround Lightning and his descent would come to a stop. Now, he could fly just like his opponent. It was even now...
The dragon's wings would shine white as it would come from behind though after recovering, slamming Lightning with them and sending him flying through the air. "Recover, Lightning! You can do this!" Josh called. Rocks would come from the fossil Pokemon's body and shoot toward Lightning. "Dive!" Josh called. "Pika!" Lightning responded as he dove down, dodging them. "Quick Attack!" he called. Lightning would nod and start to gain speed as he started rising, slamming right into Aerodactyl in response. It would reel back before sending out a Roar attack in response. "Dive!" Josh would call and Lightning would dodge just in time to avoid going back into it's ball. "Brick Break!" Josh called as he realized Lightning was right under it. "Turn it into an Uppercut!" he called. Lightning would nod as his paw would glow. "Piii... KA!" Lightning let out as he slammed the paw into Aerodactyl, and it would start to nosedive, getting tired...
"One more time! Thunder!" Josh called as Lightning's cheeks sparked. "Pika.... CHUUUUU!" Lightning let out harshly as another large bolt of electricity hit the Aero dead on. As it started to fall in exhaustion, Josh tossed the Safari Ball at it. Better this then nothing! It'd make a good gift for Izumi.
